You MUST submit your information in the OOC and have it confirmed by me in order to join this role play.
With Humanity reaching the peak of the scientific age, they have come into contact with many different planets that contain life. One of which, called the Furries, joined them in intergalactic exploration. The Furries are comprised of Wolves, Rabbits, Foxes, Dragons, Lizards, Snakes, Cats, and many more animals. So they are more then just furry.
During their journeys across the milky way, they decided to get close up and personal with Cygnus x-1 (The closest black hole to Earth), not knowing the true power inside this behemoth. When one of the research crews went in too close to Cygnus x-1, their ship began to get pulled into the spiraling terror of the black hole. They had valuable information on the ship, and launched off escape pods to get the info the rest of the research team. The pods landed in an arctic planet called "Un hiver enfer" by the French who discovered and studied the planet. Translated, it means "A winter hell". Furry tribes populate the area, and are very familiar with the treacherous wild creatures that roam it's wispy white plains.
Many teams have been sent to recover the information, but other planets want it as well, such as other furry planets who disagreed to join humanity called the AHF (Anti Human Federation). So each microcosmic planet in the HFSA (Human Furry Space Alliance) try to reach the pods before war breaks out. You may create your own research vessel that was sent down to retrieve the info, or join an existing one.

The Rocinante.....one of the greatest research vessels amongst the fleet of over a hundred ships that were a part of the HFSA. The ship orbited the side of "Un hiver enfer", with their crew trying to locate the pod crash of "The Peacemaker", another space craft that had collected data from Cygnus x-1.
Inside the Rocinante was Howl Ackart, an experienced and witty man who was the lead scientist of the vessel. His mission was to find the pod's location and bring the information back. His lust for knowledge would only push him farther into his efforts, going to almost any lengths to find out more about this strange and wondrous universe we live in.
Laying down on his bed, Howl looked up at the ceiling, unable to get to sleep as he thought of what lies inside the black hole of Cygnus x-1. After hours of thinking about the black hole, the intercom in his room turned on. "Excuse me, Mr. Ackart, your wanted on the main bridge, we appear to have found something." Howl got up and held down the talk button of the intercom, "Alright, I'll be there in just a moment." Throwing on his Patriots jacket and running a comb through his hair, he ran to the teleporter and appeared on the bridge. Walking up to the front of the ship, he turned to his crew. "What information have you found that is so important? Does it have any baring on the subject of the pod crashes?" One of his crew members stood up. "Yes, sir, it appears we have readings of the crash being in the middle of the winter plains, they are said to be inhabited by only the worst monsters that walk the planet." Howl sighed and ran his hand through his head's fur. "Alright...we'll have to go there by foot. Get an escort party ready, I'm going down there." The man nodded. "Yes, sir, but be careful." "Oh, don't worry, I'll be fine." He said, smiling to him then running to the hanger bay.
Several of the escort soldiers walked up to him, one of them handed him a set of clothes and equipment. "You'll need this down there, it's a living hell in that place." Howl nodded and threw on all the heavy winter attire, with his casual wear under it all. With his backpack full and a P226 in his holster, he jumped onto the ship. "We'll be landing in a small native settlement, some guides should offer their services to you." "Ok, well, let's go!" The pilot took off, taking Howl down to the planet, into one of the most dangerous and unforgiving places anyone could go to.
After landing in the village, Howl got out of the ship and walked up to the leader of the area. "Hello, I am Howl, one of the lead researchers trying to get to the pod crash not far from here, is it ok if I use one of your guides?" The leader nodded, "Take one, but only one. You may search the village, but you must bring the guide back alive." Howl smiled. "I won't get him killed, I promise." With that said, he looked around the settlement, multiple residents taking interest in him and staring at Howl.

A young looking feline with thick white fur stepped out from the group, clad from head to tail in gemstones, tribal markings and a bright ice blue pendant of quartz. Tail flicking curiously he walked twice around Howl, looking him up and down with deep interest, before stopping dead in front of him....
"so.... you need guide? I can guide, and i speak you language, as crude as it is.... what say you?"
His icey blue eyes flashed warmly as he waited for Howl's decision, fingers running over the pendant resting in the centre of his chest.

Howl was a very tall person, so he always had trouble talking to most people. So, he had to kneel down to the native. He smiled and nodded. "Of course, you may join, and even with a crude language such as English, don't think that means it has no beauty to behold." He paused for a moment. "I am honored to have a guide such as you, but I must warn you, there are more then just monsters out there, other men want what we need and they are willing to kill others over it."

Kitt smirked, aparntly amused...
"yes, even the crudest of languages can hold deep meaning and affection... and village life is boring, i live for the hunt, would rather die for the hunt... you need not worry"
his tail flicked twice as he looked Howl up and down, aparantly coming to a decision...
"okay... hold out your hand... hold it out and i will decide..."
As Howl held out his hand Kitt lifted the quartz pendant from around his neck, and held it out above Howl's hand... Other natives around him held in breaths, no-one had given a spirit heart to an outsider, not even for them to touch... The young feline looked around at the other villagers, frowning slightly, before turning back to Howl... He lowered the pendant slowly into his hand, the quartz ice cold and heavier than it looked....

Holding the pendant in confusion, he looked to Kitt. "This is a very nice crystal, such a mysterious item that you possess. With it cold to the touch and heavy in weight, it fascinates me...what exactly does this do?"

Laughing under his breath Kitt watched Howl take hold of the pendant...
"so naiive.... you hold it like it is a mere trinket.... look around you.... everyone in this village wears a pendant like thus.."
Looking around Howl would have seen this to be true, everyone over the age of 16 wore a pendant of varying colours, some amber, others deep red, bright emerald and clear silver.....
"what you hold... is more than just a crystal... what does it do? it is me.... you hold, my soul, my very existance.. in one hand...."
he smiled curiously, watching Howl...
"you hold it so carefully, even though you did not know its true meaning... i will be happy to be your guide... though if i knew your name, i think it would seal the pact..."

"What you say is true...so many of you have one." Looking deep into the crystal, he smiled. "Your soul, eh? Well, I don't know what to make of it except, it's beautiful. And though I do not know the exact information of things doesn't mean that I would be afraid of it, or shun it. I'd rather learn to understand it's existence, befriend it, if it be living, and gain knowledge from it." He looked at the crystal, then back at Kitt and said, "My name is Howl Ackart, I come from a distant planet many light years from the human home planet, Earth. What, exactly, is your name?"

"my name... is Kitt Szarda.... and you, are not like any of the other sky people i have seen..."
he frowned lightly, watching Howl look deep into the quartz, he felt slightly unnerved about it being in another hands, and yet he felt no fear... he trusted Howl to the extent that he would hand over everything to him, and he did not know why.... Smiling, the young feline looked up at the tall stranger, so alien....
"well, Howl Ackart of distant planet.... a pleasure to make your aquaintence"

"As am I, Kitt Szarda." He then looked at the crystal again. "Perhaps you would like this back now? If it is of such great importance to you, I don't think I should run around with it."

Kitt gladly accepted the pendant back, lowering it back down around his neck, the crystal nestling in his thick white fur.... he smiled curiously, watching Howl with as much interest as the newcommer observed the native...
"you wear such strange garments.. that is correct word i believe? what is it like on planet where you are from?"
the short feline asked the questions with deep curiousity, his tail flicking side to side, eager to hear more....

An eletronical voice comes over the ship "we will be landing soon your misssion will be to retrive the information lost, your best way to do this will be to gather information from the natives, pherhaps of you own genetics would be best to start" sain gets up off the mat "thank you computer understood" sain looks at the window as he closes in on the planeet. Down on the ground thhe natives whatch as the riseing stalker approaches a small fox girl climes ontop of the talles tree and jumps on. Computer comes over the ships intercome agin "the girl is back do you want to let her in" sain smiles "computer you think you would be usse to this by know" the door opens and the girl climes in. She smiles and runs over to sain and hugs him. Sain pats her on her head "you can't just wait until I land". The girl burries her head in sains chest "I missied you so much" sain grabs her head and tilts it back so he can look her in the eyes "I missed you to" the stalker lands and the door opens and sain steps out with the girl on his shoulders. An old fox with markings on his face walks forword "its been to alomost a whole season seense you been here" sain looks down "I'm sorry but the dark keeps me busy" the old man pats sain on his back "welcome back"

"Oh, yes, that is the right word. I was advised by my crew to wear these. But I come from a planet that is all mountainous, so I am naturally stout to most weather conditions. I guess I'll try seeing what it's like without it..." He unzipped his thick winter guise and it showed his Patriots jacket. "Hmm....yes, I think I'll be fine like this." Shoving the rest of his clothes into his backpack, he smiled as Kitt looked at his jacket with a raised eyebrow. "This jacket represents a team that plays a popular sport on Earth. I've been a fan of them since I was a kid."

Kitt smiled happily "this team.. it is like a clan? we play sports between clans here, mostly archery and spear throwing.." He watched as Howl stowed away his thick winter clothing... "you better be carefull though, here this is practically warm... we are sheltered by glacial ice here in village... out on ice plains... is cold.... though i'm glad you do not mind the climate"
watching Howl with curiosity he ran a finger over the pendant resting on his white furred chest.... "That.. jacket... it is like my 'Vr'yst'alk'? it is special to you.... we are not so different, despite the.. species gap..."

Howl nodded. "Well, they represent an area of the planet, so I guess you could say a clan, and don't worry about me, I'll know when to put on my warmer clothes when it gets too cold."
Taking his P226 and loading it, he put it away then turned to Kitt. "This jacket isn't exactly as important to me as your pendant is to you. Though all species have something that has a great value to them. It is only natural that we do keep material items close to us, but I don't consider your soul to be 'material', because someone like you would have a top quality soul, one that most people wish they had." He poked him on the heart softly then smiled. "Come, we've got some work to do." Howl walked over to the rest of the group and motioned Kitt to follow him.

Kitt watched Howl with deep curiosity as he poked him softly in the heart... this one was nothing like the other sky people, he seemed to respect and understand like no other alien had.. smiling he folowed, trying to get a glimpse of the metallic object Howl had brought out... walking alongside howl with lithe steps, without a sound and almost invisible against the white crunching snow...
"Howl Ackart, what is that? i see other sky people use same object, and i hear tell it is weapon for hunting.... but these are only rumours.."

"The weapon that I carry is extremely dangerous, capable of killing someone with one pull of it's trigger. What it does is launch metal pieces called bullets, and they go so fast that they can go right through you and leave a big crater in your body. It's used not for just hunting, but killing other people. Personally, I hate having to use this, yet I know that if I don't, I could die from an attack." He held it out in front of Kitt. "There will be men using weapons like this, so please, be careful."

Kitt nodded, watching the small object with curiosity... "when you sky people come... with all these things, it makes me feel like i am the naiive one... the one that knows nothing..." he shrugged, as though it was of no real importance as they walked towards the rest of the group that had come with howl.
Kitt watched them as they drew nearer, all where wearing thick winter clothing which was around as warm as the thick white fur Kitt had naturally been born with.... obviously curious, yet shy and unsure Kitt followed just behind Howl, one paw resting over the hilt of his long knife. Howl had earned his trust a hundredfold, but these others had not...

Howl leaned to Kitt. "These men are only here to protect us, though they are not as understanding of other things as you and I are, but they listen to my orders, so most of them will not bother you. Yet that doesn't mean you can trust them, they are hired bodyguards, only here for money." After that, he went to the pilot of his ship. "Get ready for take-off." "Yes, sir."

Kitt nodded, following behind Howl and not making eye contact with the bodyguards. He kept one paw still firmly over the hilt of his knife, the other resting on his Vr'yst'alk pendant... walking softly and quietly alongside Howl he caught a glimpse of one of the bodyguards, almost twice the height of the feline he looked hurriedly back down...

Taking a deep breath, Howl walked into the ship with Kitt and walked to the front of it, where his and two other seats were next to him, one on the right and the other on the left. "Please, sit down next to me." He patted the right one. "There is something I must show you."

Sain looks forword and sees a group of the native children gather around with wide eyes "brother sain brother sain did you bring us any thing did you" one of the children said, sain kneels down and pats the child on the head with the girl still holding him tightly "did you think i would come empty handed* sain smiles and hands each child a little sour gum ball "chew it don't swallow it" the children chewed it and made faces at the sour gum balls and scurried off as sain laughed. "so dose my favorite girl have any information for me" sain said as he smiled at her she stuck her lip out "i don't know maybe i do, but if i tell you you'll have to go then you'll leave and i wont see your for a long time" sain frowned and he patted her head "hey don't do that you know i have to work.... as soon as I'm done ill spend all the time i can with you i tell the darks that i need to do some repairs that will give me a week" the girls squeezes sain tightly. Sain frowns "well i saw this rely big ship fly in with the strange men on it, its a lot bigger then the rising stalker. But not as cool" she smiles as she says that. Sain lifts her up and spins her around "of course its not as cool who is as cool as your big brother sain" she giggles and he puts her down "o i can name a few hundred" she says. "i ought you this, it took a while to get but it was for a special girl" sain says as he pulls out a ruby and sapphire infused necklace "big brother" she hugs sain and smiles, sain puts its on her neck. "OK i guess i need to go look for some of those guys maybe they could lead me to the way to the pods" sain says and the girls hits him "no you cant leave if you do i want to come to" sain smiles "I'm sure you can big ships move slower and I'm pretty sure no scientist can out maneuver me" the girl squeals and runs to the ship "computer open up big brother said so" the computer makes a sighing sound and the door opens and the little girl runs in. The old foxs walks forword "siya has always been a live one" he laughs a little "just make sure you both come back un harmed" the rising stalker begans to rise up and sain jumps onto it holing onto the door "i will you just make sure you don't die on me" sain gets in the ship, the door closes and the ship sets off "i don't know what I'm suppose to do with them" the old man says as he laughs to himself

Kitt walked quietly behind Howl, unsure about the metallic corridors of the ship. Sitting softly down on the chair to the right of Howl, nomadic jewelry shimmering under the ships lights....

Howl took out a few photos of Cygnus x-1 and handed them to Kitt. "This, is Cygnus x-1, the black hole we've been researching. It can destroy anything, no matter how tough, nothing can escape it's spiraling fury the second it gets in too close. There's so many secrets are held within this behemoth, they will be revealed once we find that pod."

Brushing a strand of his hair out of his eyes Kitt studied the photographs carefully.... "so, we are looking for this pod... and it is in the ice fields?" he looked up to howl, ice blue eyes curious...

"Yes, it is in the ice fields, and we can't get any ships down there because of how dangerous it is. So, we'll need you to guide us away from monsters, help us traverse certain situations and treat any special wounds or diseases we may encounter."

Kitt nodded, running a finger across the fang that he had on a loop pierced through one long feline ear...
"there are many beasts on the ice fields... many... some my people only take on when we are in a hunting group.... but yes, i can help you as a guide, you are one of the few sky people i would trust..."

Smiling, Howl looked up at Kitt. "I am gratified to hear that, most would just stereotype me for some destructive and reckless animal with no sense of respect for other species."

Kitt smiled meekly back "i would not do that, i give everyone their chance to show who they are..." he pulled the fang from his ear, holding it up so Howl could see the sharp serrated egde... "this, is the tooth of a 'Zaleshta'... similar to a.. bear?... it is animal even i would not take on... you must realise that we will not always be able to fight, the hunt is just as much about running..."

the engines of the outlaw star roaredas the ship enetered the cold planetary atmosphere the ship it self was unarmed since the crew of the tiny vessal was explorers and a few medical crew as the ship hit the planets surface the whole crew minus there captain stark gale exited the ship a small cat girl was the last to exit and walks around the area seeing if there was anyone else besides her team "is anyone out there" she yelled barly pentraiting the heavy winds howl

the computer comes over the ship "vehicle detected five hundred meters away going into cloak mode" the ship fall into a slower pace and ease closer to the larger ship "thanks computer, siya be quite don't make any sounds" sain said while he put his finger to his lip "ok" she said while putting her finger to her lip and making a goofy face. Sain laghes to him self and pats her on the head as he walks up to the screen and he sees a ship come into view; it was larger then the stalker but it looked slower and defense less

"Yes, well, I can only hope that nobody gets harmed in this expedition of ours." Sighing, he laid back in his seat. "Too many good people were lost on the Peace Maker....it shall not happen again."
Moments later, their ship took off, flying up into the air and zooming off. "This ship may look slower then most of the other ships you have seen, but don't be fooled, this one has been equipped with the latest engines. If we were on the Rocinante rather then this carrier, then we'd have some trouble getting off the ground. But a ship of that size would need a very large piece of land to settle down on."

Kitt wathed the ground fall away with trepidation, though without undue fear. He listened to Howl, but only understood every other word or so when it came to techincal issues and subjects of which he had no knowledge.... it felt warm and muggy in the ship, having thick fur it seemed was all and good when you where in freezzing ice fields, but a nuisance with central heating...

As Howl blabbed on about the Rocinante and all it's grandeur, he realized how uncomfortable Kitt was looking. "Hmmm....you don't look to well, Kitt. Perhaps we should turn on the air cooler for you? I wouldn't mind, of course, but the mercs may start to complain a bit."

"it is no problem, i am fine.... " he panted slightly, thick fur ruffling.... "i am just... unsused to such warmth..... having thick fur can be nuisance it seems" he laughed quietly, tail flicking

Howl raised an eyebrow. "Are you sure, you don't seem good to me. Maybe we should stop and let you cool off for a bit, I'm not going to risk my only guide getting sick."

Kitt looked up at Howl, nodding "that.. would be appreciated..." to be truthfull Kitt had never been anywhere warm, his tribe used fires that was true, but only for cooking meat...

"Alright. Wait here." Howl got up and walked to the pilot. "Land the next chance you get, our guide needs to cool off for a moment." "Yes, sir." After a moment, he approached the mercs. "Get ready, men. We're landing down to give our guide a fresh breath of air, but I don't want anything attacking us while the ship is down. Also, get engineers to check the whole ship, I'm not taking off until I'm sure that we're ready for the full trip to the border ice lands."

Kitt sat nervously, running two fingers over his crystal pendant... panting he flicked his ear, waiting for Howl to return...

Multiple mercs looked at Kitt with disdain and approached him. "Hey, looks like pretty boy's got a little trinket. Let me have a look!" He reached his hand to Kitt's pendant with greedy eyes. Luckily, Howl had glanced over to Kitt to make sure was alright, seeing how they were about to take something of great importance from Kitt, he ran over to the merc. Taking out his pistol, he put it to the head of the man. "Don't even think about it, or you won't have what little amount of brain you hold in your head!" The man backed off, and Howl stepped in front of him. "If I EVER see you do that to him again, you'll be left in the wastelands with a bullet in both you knee caps. That goes for all your little friends, you got that?! Now you and your bloody pricks sit down and shut up!" Turning to Kitt, Howls extremely angry face turned to one of kindness. "Forgive me for displaying such anger, but these men need to be set straight at moments." Sitting down, he whipped sweat from his forehead. "You must understand that I can be very brutal and unforgiving if the situation calls for it."

Kitt slid his knife back into its sheath, the crystal blade glinting in the ships lights...
"it is fine... i expected no better from sky people.."
he looked from Howl to the mercenaries...
"and i would show anger as well, and if you hadnt stepped in i believe that man would be missing a hand around now"
with that he slid the dagger back out, flipping it blade over handle and smiling to the mercenary....

"Ships losing altitude" sain gets up and looks puzzled like "computer what do you mean" the computer comes over agin "well didn't you get the ship or losing or mabey it was" "carefull computer I can still toss you, I meant why are they landing did they find the pod?" The computer remains quite for a minute "no there is no indication of such they just seem to be landing" the stalker lowers a little when siya looks out the windoe and points down to the ship "hey I think I see something over there computer takes us down" the computers eye looks at sain "ugg.. its her home planet don't you think she would know what to do" the computer rolls it eye and siya giggles as the stalker lowers still in stealth mode

"Hehe, that guy almost deserves to have his hands cut off." The ship made a thud and stopped. "Alright, lets go outside." Walking outside into the winter storms, Howl smiled. "Ah....it's so much better out here."

melody sees the ship land and runs over to see whos there "um hello im with the outlaw star medical ship can you tell me which way point 7709 is my ship is lost and we have imporent bussiness there"

Seeing Melody approach him, it was his natural instinct to be calm and inviting, but that wasn't so for the mercs. They all raised their rifles and began to scream. "Hold it, guys! She's not here to threaten us." Howl walked over to Melody, a smile upon his face. "Medical ship, eh? I don't see what type of business you would have here, considering everyone's out to get the pod crash, but anyway, I'm Howl; lead researcher and captain of the Rocinante. If you are here for the pod, then I'm afraid I can't just hand out that information, it's far too vital."

The ship lands and siya gets out with a large grin on her face she looks out and sees the small cat girl and kitt "look big brother he is from the nebroghing tribe" , but when she touches the snow her face turns cold "big brother" she looks foword "What is it" sain says with a serious look on his face "run, run away the kasha are here" she yells at the top of her lungs as five large dragon fish looking creatures bigger then the stalker emerge with a over large wing span come out and three began to chare at the larger group and the outher two at the stalker "o crap" sain grabs siya and starts to run back towrrds the ship

Kitt walked out behind Howl, breathing a sigh of relief as te ice cold wind swept through his thick white fur.... breathing deeply he closed his eyes, feeling the snow crunch under his paws.... he did not understand how people could live their lives in those ships.... opening his eyes he looked over to a ship that landed nearby, two foxes walked out and he cocked his head in curiosity.... smirking he recognised Sain, he was quite the legend around these parts, taken into slavery, and now with his own ship after many years.... his smile turned into one of fear, drawing his knife he turned to Howl...
"DO NOT MOVE! IF ANY OF YOU MOVE! YOU DIE!"
The mercs stopped, turning to see the large creatures rampaging towards them, all listened to Kitt and stood firm, except one... he screamed, running back towards the ship, firing wildly... The Kasha roared in triumph and set upon the fleeing mercenary..... the remaining two turned to the group, bright amber eyes searching them, pupils dilating....
"they follow movement.... we stay still.... very still.... and they might not attack..." he whispered to Howl and the rest of the group, even to him his voice sounded unsure.... the three Kasha roared again, and turned away, wings flapping as they sought height..... Kitt whiped sweat from his brow, turning to Howl......
"we are lucky... the V'rela'ka herds are plentifull this month, and it seems they have already eaten enough to satisfy their apetites..."

Sain jumps in the ship and roars to life as the kasha charged the ship sain puts the thrusters pointing down to the snow causeing the snow fly in the air disrupting the kashas visions then the stalker flyswatter into the air and goes into hover mode with the cloak on "what the heck was that" sain says furiously "what as I supose to do just let them die" siya says as she begans to cry. Sain sighs as he walks over to her he grabs her head and puts it into he chest "hey don't cry I didn't mean to yell, its just I was mad that my cover wad blown" sain lifts her head up "I'm sure the other guided could of saved them you didn't have to yell, its OK they are your family in way so I guess I shouldn't be mad" she pulls her head away "you stupid dumy head" sain gets up and walks towards the monitor "bring up the area below" the screen shows the kasha leave and the group un harmed "see"

The moment Sain's ship landed, his eyebrows were raised. "What could this person want? I'll-" In the next second, five dragon fish appeared.
At first, Howl had is pistol raised, but he followed Kitt's orders and put his weapon away, lying very still. Watching in horror as one of the mercenaries got killed, Howl was able to not move.
After the monsters left, he sighed. "That...was a close one...thank you Kitt. You have saved my life, and the lives of our fellow journeymen. I am in your debt, Kitt, in time, I hope to make it up to you." Then, he turned to Sain's ship and said, "Hey, you! Come down here! Wouldn't you like to introduce yourself?! We mean no harm and wish to meet more people in hopes of making alliances!"

"The man down there is yelling for you" computer says, "are you kidding me" face palm "ugg let's hear it" sain puts his hand over his face as sain listens to the man speak "take us down" "are you sure you want to do that" computer says "yes leaving now will just make it more obvious" sain says ass the ship starts to descend

Stepping out of the way and letting the ship land, he looked at Self-sain with a smile. "Well, there aren't many reasons for one to just follow a research vessel being escorted by three squadrons of mercenaries. I'm guessing your here to get to the pod crash?"

Sain processed to walk out of the ship "well you see that I had a dear friend that sent some information on the pod and he was lost and I owe it to his family to recover it"

"I'd hate to call you a liar, but what's on that ship has nothing to do with your 'dear friends' information. That pod contains data from a ship that was studying the near-by black hole of Cygnus x-1, and I intend to take it back for the HFSA in order to find out the truth behind these intergalactic behemoths. This must be used for the welfare of all intelligent life, not for the large amounts of money many seek from this pod crash. Now, I knew the people on the vessel that sent the pod crash, and they DIED because of that black hole, for the good of the universe. Those men that served on the ship were very dear to me, so if I don't get that information on Cygnus x-1, then their deaths will be for nothing."
Howl sat down and sighed, he then began to talk in a lower voice. "I'm trying my best to not have violence involved in this incident, yet more and more crews from other vessels come to claim something that ISN'T theirs. If you wish to help me retrieve the data for the just cause, then I'll let you come with me, but if you leave and try to get that pod for the good of some greedy space pirates, then I swear, some hell will be raised."

Sain shakes his head "the pod contains INFORMATION the information was suppose to be about the black hole, but there was other research going on. Medical reasearch that is vital for the survival of his daughter" sain says as he looks down and his fist tighten

"Medical research is not conducted on a vessel that is on the verge of a black hole, nor would they have the equipment on the ship to do so. How could it possibly, in anyway, be in that pod?!" Walking up to Self-sain, he raised an eyebrow. "I do not wish to imply that you are trying to trick me, but I don't see any connection in this."

Yes medical research wasn't planes but a black hole is a strange and un real, the information was stored into something that only I shall know and know how to open it, its in that pod becase it was his life that he left to with only the intention of saving his daughter

"Hmmmm...well, seeing as I don't have any other group helping us out, I can allow you to accompany us in our journey to the pod. You will get your information on the medical research and I will get mine on the black hole. Of course, if that's alright with Kitt." He looked to Kitt with a smiled. "Would you mind if we allowed this man to visit the pod with us?"

Kitt shrugged, watching Sain cautiously, one paw resting on the hilt of his dagger... "i have no problem with it" he continued to watch the other native with interest, the tribes did not often meet, and Sain was somthing of a legend in these parts of the ice fields....

Sain notices the native growing cautious with his blade, siya moves forword and sain grabs her and holds her protectively "very well then" sain glances back and forth and looks at the others his hand falls next to his hip where under his cloth he has a hidden lightning rune

Kitt pulled his paw away from the handle of his blade, noticing Sain's cautiousness... "you are Sain are you not?... from the tribe near my own?" he spoke in the native tongue that all the tribes used universally in that area of the ice fields, Kitt watched Sain to see whether he would answer, also watching the female fox who Sain seemed to respect, or at least do as she said somtimes...

Sain put siya behind him self and his hand remaines in place as he spoke back in the native tonge "I am and you are from the village towrds the east are you? "

Kitt nodded, glad that Sain had responded... "yes.. i am from that village, the clan of Szarda.... you are quite the legend around these parts Sain... with your own ship and everything..." kitt continued to watch him with curiosity, he was unsure why he was speaking in the native tongue...

"So might I ask why the people of szard are helping the sky people" sain said still speaking in the native tonge

Kitt smirked, looking over at Howl... "i do not speak for my people... i am merely acting as a guide so that these fools do not get their heads bitten off by the first beast that crosses their path...." he turned to look at Howl in particular, frowning slightly... "and the only reason i help them is because of him... he is no normal sky-person, at least... not like the ones ive met before...." Kitt leant to the side slightly, taking a look at Siya, then back to Sain.... "and on what business are you here yourself? or is that none of my fluffytailed business?"

Of course, Howl had no clue as to what the two were saying, he didn't have any type of translator to get their languages. But still, he watched for body and face language that comes apparent during most conversations. As far as Howl knew, they were giving each other questions, then Kitt looked at Howl. It had something to do with his race, with the races of all the men here except for Sain and Kitt.
With nothing more to do until they were finished, Howl sat down and watched the duration of the conversation.

Seeing Melody approach him, it was his natural instinct to be calm and inviting, but that wasn't so for the mercs. They all raised their rifles and began to scream. "Hold it, guys! She's not here to threaten us." Howl walked over to Melody, a smile upon his face. "Medical ship, eh? I don't see what type of business you would have here, considering everyone's out to get the pod crash, but anyway, I'm Howl; lead researcher and captain of the Rocinante. If you are here for the pod, then I'm afraid I can't just hand out that information, it's far too vital."

"I will not question your judgment" sain looks at howl and looks back to kitt "and I guesss I should of know it would be of such." He looks down at a smirk comes across his face "honastly it is none of your bussines, but I will tell you anyways. Well all lies start with the truth, I did have a "frind" sort of say that died in the black hole and he was working on something for some one and it could be use for other stuff." Sian looks at siya and pulls her close to him "and I will do and take care of any and anyone that gets in my way"

Looking to Melody, he smiled. "Well, that seems plausible...point 7709, eh? I'm sure we can help you out."
In his thoughts, Howl felt something fishy was dwelling within the intentions of Sain and his relations with the pod. Not that his story wasn't understandable, but at the same time, so many other parties were involved with this incident. The lack of information that he had on Sain infuriated him, making it impossible to come up with a solid conclusion. Howl had to know more on this man before he could decide whether or not to trust Sain, considering he might be working for the AHSF (Anti human space federation). Even though he wasn't a human, he still knew the disdain from that group would apply to all supports of the HFSA (Human furry space alliance). All Howl wanted was to get the data from the pod to help the HFSA and everyone who needed it, yet such opposition irradiating from other groups made it even more difficult.

Kitt raised an eyebrow, listening to Sain's explanation.. "well, please dont let me keep you, im sure there is much you need to get done.." he turned back to Howl and what appeared to be a nurse from another ship, Kitt changed back to english rather than the native tongue "well Howl Akrant, im sorry that you couldnt participate in that conversation, you did not miss much, just a little idle chat.."

A grin stretched across Howl's face. "Hehe, remember Kitt, my last name is Ackart, but it's ok to get it wrong every now and then. And thank you for speaking with Sain and checking him out, I don't know much about this man and intend to look further into the matter. Now, we must assist Melody in getting to her objective."

Sain chukels and shakes his head he looks at siya and wispers "a sky person comes to my planet and dosent trust me" she chukles and hugs sain

In the next moment, a merc ran up to Howl. "Sir, you've got a message from your home planet." "What?! Let me see!" He ran inside his ship and went to the main monitor, where he saw a women standing in the middle of a tribal village somewhere on a mountainous planet. She was dressed in the guise of simple cloth and had special trinkets on her. "Howl, is that you?" His jaw dropped. "Mother, it's you...there's a communication device at our village?!" "I can't explain that right now, I have to tell you something." "What is it?" "It seems that your father, he's, well..." Her eyes began to water and voice started to tremble. "Your father has...gone missing. He was on the peacemaker at the time of the incident." "WHAT?! I thought he stayed home at the village, didn't you two only have enough money to send me to Earth?" Howl's mother shook her head. "No, David wanted to get in touch with you, he was an ambitious scientist, much like yourself. So, we pooled a fun together to get him to Earth, that's when he created the peacemaker. To take him and a group of people to Earth to join the HFSA." Howl stood idle for a moment. "Are you sure that he's dead?" "No, he could still be very alive with some other scientists. You see, there could have been more then just one pod that launched, or the one that launched had the information and people on it. Howl, this is no longer an attempt to save information, but to save lives. I'm counting on you, to bring him back." "I will, mom." "And one more thing dear, 'Può la divinità guida lei per la ricerca, e vi porterà alla sicurezza.'"
After that, the transmission ended, and Howl turned to everyone. "It appears, that we're no longer on a mission to bring back data from the pod crash, but to save my father and possibly more lives. The pod is just a secondary objective. The fate of the Peace Keeper's crew lies in our hands."

Sain couldn't help but hear what howl said to his group "well it seems mr.high and mighty dosent know as much as he calmed to think he did, if diffrent information couldn't be stored or save how could people" sain glares at him with a smirk on his face

"I will admit that this new information came as a surprise to me, but I'm not saying that there wasn't enough room for there to be different data, I was saying that it was far-fetched to have information not pertaining to the subject they were studying be involved in all of this. So don't think that all of this news would even remotely justify your story." He walked up to Sain. "I am not the gun crazed, arrogant and all high and mighty 'sky person' as you see me. I spent most of my early life on a planet like yours, only a lot less cold."

Howl rolled his eyes, "Well then, try not to make wise comments like that, I'm not one for getting smart mouthed by people even know, let alone suspicious individuals I barely know anything about." Kitt nudged Howl and gave him a look. Howl sighed and ran a his hand through his hair. "Oh...I am sorry. I can be very nice, but then have my anger peak at one moment without my control. You see, it's hard for someone like me to control his emotions, since I'm so sensitive, though I do get very good personal and intelligent traits from it as well." He turned to all the mercs. "Alright! We're heading out, get your stuff ready and mount up!" Howl turned to Sain. "You be careful out there, alright? Hope to see you out there on the fields." Him and Kitt ran to their ship, followed by tons of mercenaries and the doors closed. Then the ship lurched upwards and went towards the sky.

"Some people are just two faced" he said to siya as they get on the ship. "Computer follow them, I'm going to take a nap" sain says as he stretches. "You can't go to sleep what am I suppose to do" siya said, "I don't know take a nap to" he said as he went into a small bed. Siya turned to the ships navigation "I wouldn't touche that" the computer said, "I know"

Kitt followed Howl through the ship, tail flicking behind him he gave a shudder, the light dusting of snow that had collected in his fur fell to the floor in a small flurry... "well, he may be native of this planet... but that does not meen that we need trust him any more than another.... you just find what you need to find, and i make sure you do not get eaten along the way... what you are looking for, is none of my business, i have more than enough to worry about down here..." he smirked, sliding his blade back into its sheath...

He looked to Kitt and stopped. "There is another thing you must moderate: my anger. I cannot control as well as most people, my emotions are just so powerful...being the captain of the Rocinante means that I must keep my stress levels low, the same thing goes for my temper." Howl patted Kitt on the back and smiled. "Your more then just a guide, Kitt, your a friend, and I need you to do me that one extra favor." He then turned and walked to his seat. "I've got too many responsibilities on my hands to have this get in the way."

Kitt watched Howl curiously, thinking... "This was not in my contract..." he laughed, sitting in the seat beside Howl "dont worry, i take it as my duty to do so...."

"Thank you, Kitt." The drop ship was now going at top speeds, journeying farther into the planet's lands. They have yet to reach the cold, ruthless and forbidding lands of the ice plains. What Howl and Kitt don't know is that soon, they will be plunged into a frozen hell that will drive them to a near breaking point.

Kitt hummed to himseld, spinning his quartz blade in one paw, blade over hilt he caught it and spun it, reasonably bored of the journey... catching the dagger again he span it and swapped paws, watching the snow and ice scoot past below them...

"can anyone here me this is the medical ship outlawstar weve crashed and need an evac now" melodys voice says over the radio

Kitt yawned, this journey was looooong... and boooooring.... curling up in his seat beside Howl he yawned again, showing bright white fangs to match his fur, and promptly fell asleep in a foetal position, curled up and warm.... tail flicking he clutched the quartz pendant in both paws, and started to snore quietly....

"Hehe, don't worry, we'll be there-" Suddenly, the ship got hit by something, causing it to quake greatly. Howl fell out of his seat and hit his head on the wall. He was still able to get up, but the ship rocked again and he stumbled back down. "What in the bloody hell is going on?!" The co-pilot ran out to help up Howl. "There's some sort of dragon attacking us! We don't know what to do!" Howl turned to Kitt and shook him. "Hey, get up, mate! We've got a dragon attacking us and need some info on it!"

Despite all the shaking and rocking Kitt had actually kept sleeping soundly, snoring lightly... when Howl shook him he woke with a start, shouting somthing in his native tongue before realising what was going on.... walking calmly up to the main view screen of the cockpit he held on tight as the ship rocked, craning his neck he caught sight of the trouble maker... a ten foot serpent like creature of bright electric blue scales and feathered wings, sharp talons gripped the ship with an insane strength....
"it is called 'Saa'lex'... means feathered serpent... because of its feathered wings.... it must have mistaken your ship for a larger dragon type creature.... this particualr species preys on larger winged animals, it is so flexible and serpent like it can wrap around another dragons stomach where it cannot be got hold of... and eats the animal alive.... it is quite rare now and this is only the third one i have seen in my life..."
he looked up at Howl, unusualy calm.... before turning back to the screen...
"the reason it is so rare is because its prey learned to get it off.... by rolling..."
here he motioned with one paw, a yawing barrel-roll like motion...
"it cannot grip on hard enough and will be flung off..... the poor thing is confused and probably hungry, all it was looking for is a meal to take to a nest of hatchlings...."

"Thank you, Kitt." He turned to the rest of the occupants of the ship and yelled, "GET READY, YOUR JUST ABOUT TO GO UPSIDE-DOWN!" Then, Howl looked to the pilot, "DO A BARREL ROLL!"
With that, the drop-ship spun in a circle and...well...did a barrel roll. The serpent went flying off, while most of the ship's passengers got a good head-ache. Howl blinked and stood up, almost wobbling. "Well, this is EXACTLY why I hate roller coasters, and Kitt, I'm not in the mood to explain those to you. Right now, I've got to see how much longer this trip should be." Walking up to the cockpit, he saw that they were but 5 minutes from their destination. "Thank god...."

Kitt smiled curiously at the mention of 'rollercoaster'..... he followed white up to the cockpit, tail swishing he leant on a control panel, looking cheekily up at Howl...
"this... roll-a-coah-ster?... is it dangerous?"
he smirked, watching Howl, tail flicking as he watched the Saa'lex fly back down towards the ice cliffs where it nest would probably reside....

Howl sighed and turned to Kitt, "Yes, you could stay that. Roller Coasters are giant metal contraptions that flip, twist, spiral and...barrel roll at times. They are supposed to induce a feeling of adrenaline. They are, in my opinion, an acquired taste. Not one that I have, nor do I want to have it. Now, we've got five minutes before landing, anything you need before we set out?"

Kitt's stomach growled hungrily as Howl spoke, he blushed slightly, then looked up to Howl...
"you have food? hunting can take a while, especially in the ice fields... if you had anything at all it would be very helpfull..."

"Why yes, we do have an assortment of foods on here. But they could taste bad considering your tongue would be made for the food found on your planet." He walked over to a cabinet and found a box with ramen noodles written on it. "Would you like to try these?" Then he pulled out another package that had barbecue pork on it. "This one, the "Ramen Noodles" are made from Wheat, a substance grown on Earth that support's most life there. Or the Barbecue Pork, which is from an animal in Earth that is killed and made into...well, there are many variations of how it can be cooked, but this is what we have."

Kitt blinked twice, watching the packets in Howls hands with deep curiosity....
"uh.... i could try both of these... ray-maaan nood-els... and... pork?"
he smirked, still watching the packets like a kitten watching a ball of string...

"Hmmm...alright. Why not?" He unwrapped both the packages and placed them inside a microwave, which he set for 10 seconds. When it was done, he pulled out a plate with a steaming hot bowl of ramen noodles and set it down on a table. Then came the pork, covered in barbecue sauce and cooked perfectly. "Do you need a fork, knife or spoon, unless of course you have your own means of eating this."

Kitt shrugged, taking the bowl in both paws and raised it to his mouth, gulping down the contents with a very satisfied sound. After he had finished the noodles with much slurping and mewls of enjoyment he looked up at Howl...
"these Ray-men-nood-aals are VERY good"
he then turned to the Pork, gulping it down with equal glee, though the barbacue sauce provided some mild entertainment when he first tried it and gave a face mixed with disgust and confusion...
"Pork is nice too... though the sauce i am not so fond of..."
he purred happily, content with the meal.. "normally i live what you call.. nomadic lifestyle?... so food we do not often get in large quantities... i am very thankfull for giving me this, and i must say i enjoyed it very much..."

"Your welcome Kitt. I am willing to give food to anyone who needs it." He put all the trash left from the meal and put it in the garbage. "We'll be eating off of meals like this until we run out and have to hunt, so be ready to show us new techniques."

"How much further" sain said as he out his paw over his face. Siya ran up to him holding a small pistol "look brother I'm like you she threw a small plate up and raised the gun to fire at it "wo hold it kido" sain says as he pushes he gun down and picking her up "we don't fire inside the ship except in the firing range" he said as he sat back down "humf" she groaned as she stuck her lip out

Kitt nodded, wiping his mouth with the back of one paw...
"hunting is hard on ice fields.... but there are certain ways of getting easy meal if you know how... water too..."
he went quiet, running a paw over the crystal pendant that nestled in the white fur of his chest, pushing a few strands of hair out of his eyes he looked up at the tall wolf...

"Good." The intercom came on, "Prepare to land!" "Alright, Kitt. Grab you stuff, we're heading out!"
Howl thought to himself, "Finally...I just hope father is still alive..."

Kitt raised an eyebrow when Howl told him to grab his stuff....
"what stuff would this be? all i need is my knife, and my witts"
he tapped the side of his head, smirking.... though obviously pleased that the journey in the ship was about to end....

Howl chuckled and patted Kitt on the head. "Well, let's hope your wits will guide us through this desolate area."
The ship landed a small shock-wave ran through the ship and the doors opened. All the mercs piled out first, securing the area around the ship and signaling Howl to come out. "Alright, let's go." Howl slowly stepped down from the ship, to see a vale of thick white winter snow blocking his view, and winds causing a reduced amount of hearing. "So, do these snow storms last a long time?"

"Storms?!"
Kitt laughed, stretching and taking in a deep breath of the cold air, his fur ruffling up to trap air and therefore heat...
"This is what it is like almost all the time friend! if there was a big snow storm... we would know about it!"
Ears perked up and bright ice blue eyes searching Kitt had none of the problems howl or the mercs would have, reduced hearing was not so much a problem, his eye sight was perfect for the snow conditions, and his thick winter fur would keep him warm enough....
"though... i reckon this will die down soon enough, these outbreaks of wind and snow are punctuated by periods of absolute clear air, this is when it is coldest, and you are most likely to die as temperature drops!
Kitt was raising his voice to make sure Howl could hear, after all he did not have hearing adapted for muffling snow....

"Well, then we should get moving!" He turned to the mercenaries. "ALRIGHT! WE'RE MOVING OUT! STAY CLOSE TO KITT AND ME, ALSO, NOTIFY ME IF THERE IS TROUBLE WITH OTHER MEN! DO NOT SHOOT AT SOMETHING UNLESS IT IS ATTACKING US! GOT IT?!" The mercenaries nodded. "Ok, Kitt, you lead the way. Here is a GPS that shows where we need to go, the big yellow thing is the pod crash."

Kitt took the GPS, turning it over a few times before looking from the screen to the ice fields ahead of them.... he looked up at Howl and then nodded, setting off...
"Keep to these rifts of ice! if you walk through the large snow drifts some of them can be deeper than even you!"
With that he set off, his diminutive form creating little wind resistance, and with his camouflaged snow it was rather hard to discern him from the rest of the snow and ice... Kitt lead the group along a large ridge of ice that was raised above the drifts of snow that continuosly moved and undulated like a sea...

Hours went by as the trudged through the snow and ice, trying to make their way through an ocean of clear white snow, and waves of cold wind and hail. Nobody spoke for a while, keeping their heads forward and guns at the ready.
Suddenly, a mercenary shouted, "MY GOD! WHAT IS-" he was cut off as a pack of huge bear like creatures tackled him, then began to claw at him. "AAHHH!!!!!" Blood and organs flew everywhere, and a huge volley of bullets hit the white monsters, killing them. A mercenary walked up to Kitt and Howl. "I can hear more of them, they're coming to get us!" "Calm down!" Howl looked to Kitt. "Should we fight them, or run?" He drew his pistol and had it at the ready. "I'm not going to get killed out here, nor is anyone else."

Kitt looked around at the group, then back out at the swirling snow where more approached...
"if i was alone... i would run... but with so many.... we would die.... tell your men to stand in a tight circle! make your stand here with your weapons.... anyone who runs... is dead withing the hour.."

"Got it." He turned to his men. "FORM A TIGHT CIRCLE, NOW! GUN DOWN ANY THAT YOU SEE! IF YOU RUN, THEN YOUR DEAD WITHIN AN HOUR!"
They did as they were told, surrounding Kitt and Howl with weapons loaded. Several men began firing, and more of the bear creatures charged and attacked, only to be killed. One nearly jumped over the circle, but Howl pumped five rounds into the underbelly of the beast while it was still in mid-air, killing it. The body landed right in-front of Kitt and him. "That was...close." More and more men were firing, trying to hold off the bears.

The bears roared in unison, and turned tail..... Kitt had used a tactic that herbivores used on the ice plains, by forming a tight nit circle around the young and forcing the pack to break away... they where not stupid animals, and knew when they where outmatched.... Kitt pushed out of the circle, watching the bears charge off in a different direction, flurries of snow behind them...
"they wont be coming back... they are cleverer than you would think... and you killed a great number of their pack...."
the feline knelt down and slid his dagger into the throat of a wounded and groaning bear, killing it mercilesly....
"we had best move on... the blood shed will attract larger things not so easily faught off.... we where lucky this time... we cannot count on it again..."

"At ease, men. Ok Kitt, let's start up again. I'm not a fan of staying around dead bodies as well." He took his clip out and filled it back up with new bullets, then put it back in.

Kitt closed the eyes of the bear, murmuring words of respect in his native tongue as he slid the dagger back out from its throat... turning to Howl he banished the sadness from his eyes..
"yes... we must move one.... there are things much worse than this out here.... and they will be on these carcasees soon... so is the circle of life..."

"Ok."
The group set out once again, forging out on their long journey. More time pasted as they moved. The men began to tire, and it had been at least 10 hours since their last rest. And in these extreme conditions that they weren't adapted to only made it worse. Also, Howl saw that the sun was beginning to set on the western horizon.
"Perhaps we should rest, all of this is starting to take it's toll on the soldiers."

Kitt looked over at the mercenaries... sighing....
"so soon? fine.... if they need rest... they need rest.... if you have sleeping equipment of some kind, set it up in a recess under the shelter of a snowdrift or ice ravine.... you will need the shelter.... i can keep watch while you sleep..."

He nodded, "Set up camp in that snowdrift over there. Kitt will keep watch."
All the men began unpacking their sleeping supplies, food and other necessities. They were able to keep up some tents and get ready for bed.
As the mercenaries were all doing so, Howl walked up to Kitt and handed him a hot bowl of Ramen noodles. "I believe you like these a GREAT deal." He said, patting Kitt on the back and sipping a cup of coffee.

Kitt smiled devilishly, taking the bowl and slurping down the noodles, purring gratefully at the warmth of them....
"Not many of them will survive.... most creatures out here relly on ambush Howl.... and one by one they will die... i can asure you..... such a large group, it is not wise...."
he handed the bowl back, sliding his dagger out of its sheath and ears perking up he turned to Howl...
"you had best sleep as well.... i reckon by the time you wake up... this storm will have died down... then you can see majesty of ice fields... it is quite a sight... though rather terrifying..."

"I...I know. But, these men are here for money, large sums of it to be exact. Though I still hope some of them make it out."
He smiled. "I guess I should get some rest, see you in the morning. And believe me, I've seen some sights."

Sain and siya followed the group closely but never in the pack it was to dangerous because of the size of the group plus it would only attract animals which was no sain should not put siya in danger. When the group was attacked by the bears sain kept out of sight but keeping his guns ready. Luckily enough siya entertained her self by watching the wanna be mercs fall over and struggle in this weather. Sain might not of grown up here but he is still native so he has that natural resistance plus he has lose clothing on the mercs where to over dressed and had to much gear. As sain saw the group go to rest he decided that it would be best to get close there was a small hill in the center of the group and he decided that would be the safest place to set up camp. After camp was set up and siya was asleep he went out o he tent and saw Kitt and howl they couldn't see him and he wasn't close enough to hear them but he wondered what hey where talking about.

Howl walked back to the camp where all the mercenaries were sleeping and laid a mat out so he could look up into the stars. The storm had died down enough to show on of the most spectacular sights Howl had ever seen. Right in-front of him, was all the things he dreamed of seeing as a child, huge stars that were so distant in the past are now close enough for him to make out small details. A far out Nebula called the Pillars of Creation stood out in the background as a purple star sat in the middle. They may have looked big from where Howl was, but they were so big up close that, well, it's incomprehensible. Yet the most spectacular thing that he saw was...Cygnus x-1. Still spiraling out energy, it emitted such a powerful amount of light from it's singularity, while the surrounding rings gave off a lambent light, one of which that is like Earth's moon.

Kitt flipped his dagger over, catching it again in one paw... repeating the action every now and then.... he was keeping both ice blue eyes on the distance, snow swirling and shifting.... he gripped his quartz pendant in one paw, seeking solitude in its familiar shape and coldness..... the storm was dying down and by morning they would be able to see for miles, though by then the temperature would have dropped...

A mercenary walked up to Howl and patted him on the shoulder. "Hey, sir, umm...I think we've got a problem." "What is it, soldier?" "I, well, umm...." "Spit it out!" "The man who was killed by the bears had all the medical supplies...and was our best doctor." "WHAT?! Why did you-" "We didn't realize it until we took a head count." "I see...well, I'll have to solve that problem later...go back to your quarters." The man nodded and jogged away, and Howl sighed, frustration ran through his body. "Just bloody great..."

Kitt looked up at the sound of Howl and a mercenary in heated discussion... standing up and stretching he walked softly up to Howl, concerned...
"er... is there a problem? I couldnt help but hear your conversation.... and with morning so close i was just wondering if there was anything the matter?"
The feline looked up at Howl, ice blue eyes shining just like the crystal on his pendant...

Siya looks out of the ten at all the surrounding strangers she fells uneasy around all of them

Looking off into the distance, Howl spoke, "Apparently the poor bugger that got himself torn from limb to limb was our lead doctor, carrying most of the medical supplies for the journey. If someone gets hurt, they'll only have first aid to help them. If the bloody idiot had just stayed kept up with the group and asked for more protection, then we wouldn't be in this blasted position, but I've got to deal with this problem whether I like it or not." He turned to Kitt, "Perhaps you have some doctoring abilities?"

Kitt listened to Howl, ears flat against his head... "Ah..... thats a problem......"
The feline looked out across the glistening ice plains and then back to Howl, shrugging...
"I... I.... All of my people know some doctoring, for when your out on the hunt you cannot rely on one doctor..... so i suppose.... i could help... maybe"
He didnt sound sure with himself, but he looked up to Howl and nodded... "Sure, i can try and help....

"Thank you, Kitt, I'll be sure to let you in on what the physical status is of anyone who has been harmed recently. I know I'm asking a great deal from you, but I've got nowhere else to turn. For now, though, I'll need to get what little rest I can." Howl laid back down on his mat and looked up at the night sky again, staring at it's grandeur. "See you in the morning."

Kitt nodded, smiling for once...
"Sleep well... see you in the morning..."
With that he took one last look down at Howl, and turned back to sentry duty, crouching in the feathered snow he scanned the horizon.... the wind seemed to have calmed down and it looked like they wouldn't be disturbed until morning.... when the sun would finally get over the horizon... even if it was only for two hours... those where two of the brightest and most magnificent hours of every day.... when the sunlight glistened off the snow and formed great kaleidoscope patterns....
Sighing he pulled out his crystalline dagger with one paw.... he'd wake them in the morning... and they would keep travelling..

Howl fell into a deep sleep, and found himself atop a spiral stair, in the middle of space. There was a door in front of him, and he was curious to see what was inside. Howl reached for the doorknob, turned it and pushed open the door. Suddenly, a hand reached out and grabbed him, though he could feel the force, it was impalpable. The hand let go, and he fell into a dark abyss, with no wind going against his face, and the light of the door above disappeared in moments, then Howl was surrounded by darkness, not even knowing if he was falling or not.
After minutes of blackness, another door opened up and a women walked out, while Howl laid prostrate. He couldn't see the women's face, but only a shadow since a strong light was shining behind her. He got to his feet and approached the women, and when he got close enough to see her, he saw it was his mother. She opened her mouth and spoke in a whisper, "Go to them, to your father, or he will die, like the rest of them..." Then, she disappeared and the blackness formed into the ice plains, and he was standing on the top of a hill overlooking the pod crash-sight. Dead bodies were all around it, and one, was his father. Multiple bullet holes were in his chest, and blood was seeping from his corpse. Soldiers in UFSA uniforms stood around the sight, checking the dead bodies. One of them stood over his father's dead body and shook his head. "A shame...he was a good scientist. If only they reached him in time..."
Suddenly, the face of his father popped up next to him, "You never cared for me! What a horrible son you are, I should have known you'd leave me for dead!" Then, he woke up in a cold sweat, five mercs standing over him. "Sir, are you alright? I heard you tossing and turning in your sleep and-" Howl interrupted, still in shock. "I'm fine! I just...need to...get some water. Leave me be." "As you wish, sir." He looked up at the sky, it was near dawn. He picked up a water bottle, drank it all then walked to where Kitt was sitting. "How was the night patrol?"

Kitt had heard Howl approaching way before he could see him, he looked up at the tall canine and then back down to the horizon where sunlight cascaded over ice and snow like a bright entourage of strobe lights...
"Thankfully uneventful.... how was your nights sleep?"
The feline stood up, though even so he only came up to Howl's chest. As he did so Kitt sheathed the dagger back into its protective covering and shook some of the snow from his fur that had collected, despite the bitter cold that clawed at bare flesh and the tips of fingers he didnt shiver or show any signs of discomfort...

"My nights sleep was...well..." Howl was still having a bit of trouble recollecting the events that happened in his dream. "Well, it was...bizarre, to say the least. Certainly wasn't pleasant at some points." He looked to the ice-plains, in deep thought, then quickly cleared his mind. "Do you think we should get going?"

"Yes... We where lucky tonight, I fear we may not be so lucky during the day... we must move from this place, any carnivore will be able to smell out the camp from miles away..."
The feline turned away from Howl and made as if to walk back towards the camp, and then stopped, turning back to look up at Howl...
"Dreams.... are sometimes more than just dreams, to my people at least...."

"Thank you, Kitt." He turned to the Mercenaries and smiled. "ALRIGHT, SOLDIERS, WE'RE MOVING OUT! GRAB YOUR THINGS AND LINE UP FOR A HEAD COUNT!" While waiting for the troops to get ready, Howl thought back for a moment, "Could that dream have been the future? Have I gone insane?! I must get there in time, those people are counting on me...my father is counting on me...."

Kitt stood just behind Howl, waiting for the soldiers to assemble.... he pulled out his quartz bladed knife and flipped it handle over blade in apparent boredom... on the contrary Kitt had his eyes and ears out for the slightest sign of approaching danger...
