I plan to Co-Gm this rp with Chrono-Blackwing so if he says something, you need to follow
Reavers: a reptilian species based on a warrior society of old, their warriors are the most proficient on foot and on the ground, but in space their warships are lacking in firepower and are meant to quickly get warriors to the battle. They are the physically strongest of the 3 species and prefer more ballistic weaponry.
Humanity: Humanity's military is a mix of both good ground and space borne forces. Their major strength is their large markets, generating trillions in finances.
The Eph'Tan ground forces are lacking in strength, but they rule the space borne fights, they are the only species with EVA suits for infantry. They prefer plasma weaponry, which can quickly burn through shields. They are the most intelligent of the 3 species.
The organization... well it is a mystery...
Characters
Captain: commander of own vessel, starts out small but may get a bigger ship later on
Soldier: a trooper who prefers to fight on foot and in a suit of armor, rather then behind a ship's shields.
Spy: Intelligence gatherer
Assassin: One who removes potential threats
Scout: the person who travels ahead of the main force for recon purposes, checks out new sectors as well and maps them.
Pirate: The outlaw of space, they enjoy preying on other vessels and looting them
Outcasts: those exiled from their respective governments who gathered together to form a rag tag commune, created solely for survival in a harsh universe that hates them

Bio: Kitt is the captain of a crew of 6 other felines, captain of an old R-20 salvager the crew carry out the job of savlaging ship hulks, asteroids and providing repairs for active ships. Reckless and always ready to take the ship into the heat of combat to support a ship needing repairs the R-20 has proven itself time and time again as a robust ship.
Weaponry: No weapons carried, standard issue plasma torch used for welding... also carries the D10 plasma charger, similar in appearance to a rifle, is not actually designed for combat, but actually does the same job that a nail gun or bolt gun used to do before the D10 took over, compact and able to hurl out plasma bolts with reasonably stpping power if self defence is required....
Armor: No armour worn, the standard issue Salvegers uniform of drab orange overalls with now heavily scratched carapace and shoulder pads for protection while working in dangerous environments...
Ships: A standar R-20 Salvage corvette, sturdily built, designed to take a rough and tumbling from an inexperienced captain... made for the primary job of collecintg resources, salvaging wrecks and mining asteroids. Often thrown into combat as well, where they provide support repairing ship hulls from the exterior with the array of welders, claws and saws. Should not be compared to human ships of the same size, has powerfull all round mounted shields as well as highly manoueverably thrusters, though mounting no weaponry multiple R-20's can harrass a ship several times their size, clamping onto steel sides and cutting through into the ships innards.

R series are the newest in the line of salvage ships
the numbers after reperesent the mass classes
R-10: smallest mass class, crewed by two memebers, used for small scale salvaging of materials as well as general work moving material and repairing ships

R-20: The most common slavage ship, R-20 are often used in the fornt line to repair capital class ships, as well as run long range resourscre runs, crewed by 4 - 8

R- 30: Used for repairing strike craft, has a large docking bay and armoured plates meaning it can re-fuel and re-arm a single corvette or three fighters at a time... crewed by 4

R-40: The largest in the series.... The R-40 provides a resource drop off point for R-20's as well as docking point for repairing the salvagers and a quick transport them... mounts no weaponry and so relies on support from the rest of the fleet and fleeing any ambushes...

well there's different ship classes
Bombers- Slow, but heavily armored small ships to deliver ordinance to target
Fighters- Small, speed varies as well as armor and armament. Designed to combat other fighters and take down bombers, different fighters for different roles.
Corvette- Akin to a modern gunship helicopter, but much larger, size of small capital ship but has superb weapons for designated targets, such as a corvette with pinpoint targeting for fighters or heavier weapons for cruisers
there's more, but thats really it for smaller ships, besides freighters.
however for fighters, you need some sort of picture, it can be a rarly seen star wars fighter that looks awesome, do whatever you want
and Kitt your fine, but if your character is going to be a Slovakian cat, don't make him sound like he's from Scotland or Ireland

Um, You might need some clothes so you arn't walking around top and bottomless :P
Also, reaver age is "human age x 10" so you're 13 years old compared to a 20 year old Chrono :S
and How about a Delta-class speedster, out-speeds and out-maneuvers nearly all persuers, and has very accurate plasma turrets :3

She wears a tight long sleeved black top that comes down to the where her rib cage ends, so her stomach is visible. She wears black skin tight pants and knee-high high heeled boots.
Her R6 is equipped with turbo boost and small but powerful RPGs built into the side of the tank.

Um, scratch the accuracy, and your ride is rather fragile, so I'd suggest a stronger shield rather than more firepower :P

some of the pilots have custom equipment.
Weaponry: average pilots are kitted out with a Type-17 B Hard Cased (HC) Plasma Rifle that focuses on damage over heat. It can drain the loaded capsule into the secondary chamber, to superheat it, shooting short range to melt and burn.
Armor: EVA suit with light armour, small, low power thrusters and a HUD enabled visor, connecting wirelessly to the fighter
Ships: Erez class MkII Harpy variation. One of the heavier classes of fighter, the Erez is designed primarily as a dogfighter, though functions as an all purpose defence force for the capital ships. There is even the possibility for it to be equipped with bombs.

Looks like with all the Reavers and Eph'tan, I guess I'll be human *sigh*. Oh well, the human race is known for its ability to hold grudges and I haven't seen any real troublemakers for a war RP. This is gonna be good...

Bio: With his mother and father killed in a border skirmish with the Reavers, Entaru has hated these "snake-tongues" (as he calls them) since childhood. After the cease-fire he refused to trade the Reavers on this premise ("Why the hell should I trade with those savages!? Besides, those brutes will probably just break the stuff and demand more!"). He was more lenient towards the Eph'tan after the cease-fire with them and did some minor trading, still keeping the majority of his clients human. However, his attitude changed when his ship, the "Annabelle Lee", was boarded by a group of Eph'tan pirates. With most of his crew dead, his ship severely damaged, his cargo stolen, and himself near dead, he swore to make sure that both the races would pay for what they had done to him...if he lived through it. Found 2 weeks after the attack by a human salvage vessel, with an alien infection (not like the movie Aliens, just a infection in space) raging through his body, he was saved. However the infection left most of his body and organs scarred. He now has to wear a life-support suit which gives him sedatives to help with the immense pain wracking his body. He now trades with a heavliy armed cargo ship (too heavily armed for a merchant vessel, bordering warship status) and has been known to fire upon Non-Human ships, despite the treaties and dissaproval of his peers.
Weaponry: Tranquilizer Needle (integrated into suit), Mk III EphTech Plasma Pistol, Double-Barreled Shotgun (custom ammo)
Armor: MedCorp Mk VII Medical Suit
Ships: Mk I PirateBane Merchant Vessel (first of its kind, custom built to Entaru's specifications) "Cask of Amontillado"

uhm... sorry.... on MY ship? ... the R-20 only requires a crew of 4... i have four crew (its a tiny ship).... also:

why would an engineer / salvager have these weapons? cos thats what my crew are... we take little part in actual fighting....
however, i would be glad to rp with you.... how about your aboard the R-40 "home".... you could be one of the engineers who helps repair the R-20 "tango" while its docked... cos my ship is tiny... so why you would stow away on it i have no idea.... then once you where found you wouldnt get work....
so like i said... how about your aboard the larger frigate nicknamed "home" that way we can still rp together, but it makes more sense?

/\ this is the larger one you would be aboard.... (i would be aboard the smaller one) .... that way we could still know each other in the rp (you could be a mechanic that repairs the ship when docked)

Bio: A 'veteran' of the border skirmishes with both the Reavers and the Eph'Tan, Ol' Jimbo is a welcome sight to be around in times patrolling around the border. He can't however shake off the feeling someone's going to trigger something, and by someone he means Reavers. You see the man has a vendetta against Reavers. Just the way they killed other humans just made him hate their guts, and want to tear those guts out of their very bodies. He respects the Eph'Tan for their semi legit style of warfare, even though they rely too much on tech. then skill.
Armor: Heavy ATM 550050 armor suit designed for easy communications and mobility despite being a heavy suit. (AKA the armor in my siggy, go Carmine armor!)
Weaponry: XVT 500 Sniper rifle and a secondary XVT Thunder battle rifle.

Bio: White joined the military at mainly with the interest of paying for college and getting to use machine guns and shotguns. He's been in the army for about 2 years and is well trained in close combat, hand-to-hand fighting, and mid-range weaponry. He cooperates well with squads and will use anything in his arsenal to fight his enemies, including surrounding objects in the environment.
Main weapon: SPAS77 Pump-Action Shotgun that utilizes customized .50 caliber plasma slugs, it holds a box magazine of 27 slugs and can be switched between close and mid-range with an included removable barrel. White always carries two extra clips along with it being pre-loaded prior to combat situations.
Side arms: RCP-9000 Scoped Submachine Gun fires supernova concentrated light into laser projectiles, it holds a charge of 241 shots and he carries one extra battery; one spyderco's finest spyderfly 3003 butterfly plasma knife, double-edged with a bio-read, it will cut anyone except its user upon contact with the blade.
Armor: A modified version of an assault infantry suit combined with the arms of a heavy infantry suit, the arms were spliced together so White could use the .50 cal shotgun without possible damage to his arms, they serve to levy the recoil by about 65%.
Ships: Currently awaiting orders for ship assignment.

Bio: A triggerhappy school teacher, Mark had been fired from his job from teaching Grade 8 Chemistry in Manchester, England after having supposedly been caught wiring a bomb together from household chemicals in the school's science office when really he was trying to find an easier way to make the class more interested in his lectures with the new device. He found a new job in the Armed Forces as a weapon's technician and shooting at anything that moved. It turned out he was better at killing than teaching. He hadn't seen much combat with the Eph'Tan but had met some and is therefore neutral towards the race. However, he wasn't a fan of the Reavers due to their need to shoot at him everytime he'd gone to "visit."
Weaponry: A200-M18 Plasma Cannon (machine gun w/ fire rate of 1200 rpm), Secondary TX-12 Pistol

I blow away a piece of your ship? You blow away a piece of mine? You get away and I get nailed by an asteroid losing some cargo? The list goes on...what do you think?

oh, sorry... i saw this post after i posted in mine.... i just assumed it was some roge pirates... hmn... well, next time i post... could turn out it was you, with maybe some of your fighters having made first contact....
in which case.. the salvagers can only make a short jump, meaning you are still near enough to be a threat to the salvage frigate....
so for your post it could be that you recieve info from the fighters about that fact you made contact with salvagers, and you could persue?

me.... i'l put up a good fight but i reckon salvagers would onlyt be able to damage a ship your size, before recalling the strike craft and jumping....
also... new ships are coming in!:
R-25:
similar to R-20 this has no mining equipment, built to latch onto a larger ships hull and tear away like a planet-side mosquito... they can cause crippling damage if allowed to rove loose....
R-20A :
houses a large bay full of "buzz missiles" , the only effictive counter to large frigates or other similar large ships... buzz missiles contain a nasty surprise >.> hehe...
R-20A are used to distract an enemy vessel while the main salvager force jumps away... unlike the smaller salvage ships R-40's are capable of long jumps but require a long time to do so.....

Alright, I deployed my wasp drones so you're gonna lose quite a few ships not to mention a fair amount of damage to you're engine. I put in a desc. on my post.
I have a bad feeling about those buzz missiles. I smell buzz droids.

buzz missile:
a new implementation of the R-25... buss missiles are used to deploy the buss droid, a highly experimental weapon so far un used in full combat... the missiles are designed to explode upon the shields of a target ship and deploy what seems to be simply scrap metal.... once they reach the hull the buzz droid deploys from its casing and tears its way into a ships vents, docking bay or any other weakness... this is however simply to provide a distraction.... buzz doirds should in no way be used as a simple wepaon... but for protecting larger ships during retreat.....

I would like to note that my pilot is one of the best out there. The reason he was on "Home" was because he was outlawed from multiple systems as a amazing smuggler. He can probably fly the ship better than the pilot now.

Yeah that's alright. They do minor damage but that's nothing a short stay at a dock can't fix.

The reason he has those high tech weapons is because he can get anything from his contacts, that includes any military grade weapon from any side. He has them stashed in a hidden compartment in his quarters.

My idea is that someone on the Fires of Ellan is dearly opposed to my character. He knows about the ship because of some stolen equiptment (smuggler :D ) and imediately knows the character wanting his hide is on it. even though he worked very hard saving the Furry race on GC-42.
Planet under control by the reavers, before the semi-peace. he litterally saved the race there by smuggling them off the planet. He lost one ship to a freak accident and the captain of the Fires of Ellan is sure he did it on purpose. he wants Shiro's head

Well none of my people could possibly know that you're on that ship... I mean, didnt you stow away? even if you didnt, it's just some random mining craft. Still, I like the idea, and perhaps a chance encounter could create interesting situations. Also, you cant smuggle an entire race. That's not smuggling. but that's just pedantry.
Either way good idea. I'll probably get my captain on you cus he's suitably messed up. Though he probably sees your character as a small fry... for now atleast.

its a large ship, could be quite a while before the captain or higher command hear anything about anything... orders and information can take a long time to travel in a damaged ship, what with coms down, some corridors blocked or damaged, as well as general carnage throughout the ship....

Fires of Ellan is armed with:
3 Main beam cannons on the sides of the ship, two at the front, one at the rear.
2 Anti-Fighter beams on either side
6 Plasma Flak cannons
3 Laser turrets
2 fighter bays.

the anti fighter systems, can't be as long range as the main cannons,
(sniping human fighters would be unfair)
I prefer to call them point defense guns
The human frigate (not just Indomitable)
Comes standard with 2 forward laser cannons, 5 point defense ballistics turrets on both port and aft sides.
Below the foward laser cannons are 2 MACS (or guass cannons whichever you prefer) which are very weak against shields, but once the shield is gone it's highly effective vrs armor, against smaller shielded craft it can greatly knock the craft off course.
10 pods of Scorpio missiles on each side as well
but it comes with 3 fighter bays, one of which the Fires of Ellan just burned away
And i counter your fighter squadron with Alpha Squadron, the elite of the Indomitable
Since I didnt introduce them IN rp ill introduce them now (since the pilots will be for the most part be in their ships)
Each member of Alpha Squadron flies a Centuri fast attack craft. With 2 forward blaster cannons concussion missile launchers, these ships are the perfect interceptors
Alpha 1= Gabriel- A stout pilot. Gabriel was promoted to squadron leader early due to his high kill rate and the survival rate of his former wingmen. He cares for each pilot dearly, not just his own squadmates.
Alpha 2= Zev- Being the second command of the squad, Zev hates joking around on the job. His job is to keep everyone level headed. He got on the squad when he was in Beta squadron. Where he helped keep the rookie pilots from deserting while delivering a deadly payload to a rouge warlords Carrier.
Alpha 3- Connor
Being the jokester, Connor and Zev dont really like each other too much. But deep down he actually looks out for the over protective wingman of his, he is especially proficent in destroying ships with lasers instead of missiles, a difficult feat.
Alpha 4- Lisa
Lisa is the Tac officer tasked with flying with Alpha squadron, her craft has a modified radar system more akin to a radar stations. Her job is to guide the squadron to targets they CAN destroy, and steering them from potential unknowns.
Alpha 5- Martha
Martha is a great pilot, but during one of her planet side combat ops, her craft was shot down. While taken captive, the Reavers tore out her vocal cords. Harboring a deep hatred for the Reptillian race, she tends to act before thinking against them.
They aren't considered expendable characters, but you can destroy their craft, but if you try to hit their escape pod, you'll have a missile on your tail they become important later I assure you.

Eph'tan assault frigate.... has a powerfull hypedrive system, and has earned its name due it often being the first ship to arrive when reinforcements are called for. Not the most powerfull of ships, but a team of three assault frigs can help swing a fight from hopeless to saveable.

the large hull of the R-100 is designed to be the 'hostile' counterpart to the salvage frigates...
R-100:
shield generators x 4 - the R-100 is not designed directly for front line fighting..... therefore the shield generators are what take up most of the energy production from the ships core...
point defence systems - hundreds of rail weapons track fighters and bombers, creating a deadly fusilade of firepower
torpedo launchers - the main weapon of the R-100.... no less then 100 (from whence it recieves its designation) mass driver torpedo launchers are set into the prow of the ship..... it can take up to an hour to full reload this collosal weapon system, and take a full requirement of engineers to do so safely.....
hyperdrive system - the R-100 is outfitted with a powerfull hyperdrive core, allowing for short 'hops'
The R-100 therefore will generally jump just outside of a combat, before launching its deadly payload of missiles..... all 100 of the torpedos race toward the target, while the R-100 prepres to either jump away... or reload ordnance.... once the main payload is fired, the ship is reasonably defenceless.... and can only fire torpedos as fast as the crew can load them.....
((the whole crew of 'home' must be transfered from the R-40 to the R-100... this can take up to day, with huge amounts of equipment, crew and supplies being needed to be shuttled across....))

If it hits you, you're going to have some severe problems. Even with that weird shield you pulled out of nowhere, it only protects your bridge and the debris is headed into and up your engine.

He already knows he was gonna take a pounding the moment you entered the fight. What you've done is pull out a strange and desperate measure, and when someone's desperate, then they've run out of options, which means they've run out of shields and weapons, which is a good thing. There was never an optimistic outcome for the furries in this fight.

That's not the captain's style to either flee or to leave behind those excellent fighters. Plus there's still the possibility of those reinforcements. But yeah it's not looking good and The Ellan will either win or lose, pretty soon I'm guessing. What with the boarding parties and giant chunks of debris coming their way.

On a side note, the Cask's Gauss Turrets are rapid-fire with rounds that are used in Human tanks.

the pulsar beam platform is hyperjumped in ahead of a main force, there, often supported by DF corvettes, they soften up a target... raking the nemies hull with multiple crossfires of pulsar beams.. .which on their own are not very powerfull... but when the AI is linked together and they mass firepower from 3 or more platforms, these stationary little 'turrets' can wreak havoc....

Blazing wing: contains a single DF corvette, which also acts as the command ship for the whole formation.... this ship take sno part in the fighitng and often hangs back bheind the platforms.... it also contains 6 pulsar platforms in two groups of 3.... these all share a linked AI and are programmed to focus fire on a single target.... all the platforms have a one shot hyperdrive, once they arrive they cannot move wihout refueling... the DF corvette can hyperjump again leaving the platforms to continue fighitng without it....

I wasnt gonna say it before but now it's getting a bit much. Gabag, seriously, your fighter pilots aren't superhuman. You can't just shoot missiles out of the sky with a fighter, you cant just fly headfirst into a wall of missiles and lasers from the most organised Eph'tan squad of the Ellan without getting hit, and then ditch some of the most advanced missiles of the Eph'tan by making a single turn, expecting those missiles to hit the Eph'tan themselves, and Collins still hasn't been hit by any of the thirty four missiles fired at him with lock-on. Keep in mind that these missiles are far faster than any fighter.
I know your guys are supposed to be better pilots than the Eph'tan, but try to keep it reasonable.
You should have countermeasures and afterburners and things like that. Use them, but also dont be afraid to have someone lose their fighter. For example, Lisa, or Collins. One's getting torn to bits, the other's leading the worlds biggest light show.

Carnage 3... an assault frigate of the Eph'tan, designed to be the first in an assault, these ships are constantly sustainging heavy losses and are the 'grunts' of the eph'tan fleet... status: heavily damaged
engines: twin fusion engines
shields: moderate shielding, mostly towards prow
weapons: two 'flak turrets' designed for completly elliminating strike craft waves... effictevly a giant 'space shotgun' short to medium range, creates large clouds of 'flak'... a single captial ship clas 'fusion torpedo' manouverable and packing quite a punch this is prow mounted and can be fired with a decent rate of fire.... five point defence rail guns, strategically placed across the frigate to provide maximum coverage....

h'okay... home is being re-done... times of war call for newer ships, and home was starting to fall apart...
so... without further ado, meet home MKII:
Home MkII designated: 'Salvation'

as you can see this is a big step up from the old R-40... the newest in line of salvager ships the newly classed 'Demora heavy carrier' is often used for combat fleets as well as salvager fleets.... equipped with a top-side and bottom-side ion cannon and top-side and bottom-side dual heavy railcannons as well as two prow mounted fusion warhead torpedos... the demora heavy cruiser has thick ablasive armour and provides the salvager crews inside good protection from pirates and hostile frigates...
Demora heavy carrier:
engines: 6 twin core fusion drives (not particularly fast but allwos for decent speed and FTL (faster than light)
hyperdrive: no less than 4 hyperdrive pylons, new design 'pylons' allow for other small frigates or corvettes within a set radius to jump with the heavy carrier without the need to dock first, and much more reliable than each ship jumping individually...
docking bays: 4, 2 on each side, all located near the rear.... enough space to hold 50 corvette sized ships as well as stoarge racks for R-20 salvagers...
weapons:
topside and bottomside ion cannons (near rear) - medium range, powerfull, extremely slow to charge, high drain in power, should only be fired if desperate or facing very heavy hostile armour...
topside and bottomside heavy railcannons (near front) - very long range, can fire either 'flak' or solid rounds, very high rate of fire....
point defence systems:
20 small railguns, mounted across the hull provide a cloud of anti-fighter flak
5 cluster missile launchers, each launchers fires a single missile that splits into 5 homing anti-fighter missiles... slow to reload, a nasty surprise for any would-be pirate bombers...
Shield generators:
1 prow mounted
2 rear mounted, one on either side
the shield generators can be set to draw ALL available power away from engines, weapons systems or a combination of the two to provide maximum protection while the cruiser runs from a fight.... any corvette or simialr sized vessel that remains close enough to the cruiser can benefit from this shielding and gain additional protection...
also.... all those R-20 'flyboys' (thank you Shiro for that name ;) ) ... have got somthing new to fly....

Eph'tan assault corvette:
engines: single ion drive, powerfull and allows for high speed movement.. also allows for very short FTL jumps...
Weapons: two twin railguns... suitable for engaging light to medium targets, medium range very high rate of fire, turret allows to large field of fire
Shields: single shield generator... needs to rely on the generators of the carrier for extra protection...
The assault corvette is the perfect escort for larger shipping... combining the speed of smaller strikecraft with decent protective armour, the powerfull, intuitive railgun turrets provide exceptional fields of fire.... flying in squadrons of 4 these corvettes fly out of a carriers docking bay and swarm an opponent foolish enough to try their luck against neutral shipping...
please, please, please oh, please watch this video of the assault corvettes on homeworl 2... im sure you'l understand exactly what i mean after this.. and tell me what you think as well!

okay... backstory of home's (which is now called 'SALVATION' ) crew.... SHIRO, you will probably like this bit :3
'flyboys': the pilots of both the R-20's and will be the pilots of the new assault corvettes, ALL are feline, envied by other crew members for having the 'cool job'...
Engineers: the majority of the crew of salvation.... skilled worksmen and women.... a mix of species, but almost all are canine, such as foxes and wolves....
techies: all are rats or mice, very skilled when it comes to electronics... not very skilled when it comes to socialising or much else....
'high-ups': the officers and high ranking crew members, known by the flyboys and engineers as the 'high-ups' ... unlike in some shipping, even the high rankers are well practiced engineers and can often be seen down in the docks or mess hall playing cards or haivng a drink....
well there ya go! sorry for a mega mundo long post.... but i just wanted to get all the new info down for you guys.. and Shiro, so you can have some fun rping the engineers.... two people...two stories... one ship! :3

I can't actually do anything. Half of my characters are stuck in jail waiting for you to interrogate them or something.
The other half is part of a larger subplot that requires them to drop off the radar for while.

or Kayleena/Chrono to land on the planet and actually leave the ship so Tango could do what I had planned for him
