Title: orientation in in furry communities
Post by: Moonraiser on September 30, 2009, 12:42:36 AM
Ok before I start this topic let me say that I in no way mean to offend anyone and am only intending to ask a behaviour question related to the furry fandom.
Now as i have visited various furry forums including this one I have noticed that there is a huge trend of bisexual oriented furrys. Now what I am wondering is what is it about the fandom that attracts many bi-sexually oriented people. Personally I have no problem at all with bi-sexually oriented people but I am just curious what it is about the fandom that draws so many. And perhaps I am wrong and the bi to straight ratio is not as different as I think it is.

Probably because the furry community is very accepting so gay/bi/lesbian people feel comfortable here. That's my guess. But I don't think orientation has anything to do with being a furry in particular.

yeah that does make sense cause I have always felt furrys are very accepting and that they dont judge you for who you are.

Maybe people are just more open here. Being bi is far more socially acceptable than being a furry, so if you can say that you're a furry, saying you're bi is nothing.

but that's just a wild stab in the dark. Different reasons for different people.
