it just didnt work out :( we had so much in common too, it was distance. she lived an hour and a half away

That sucks. The reason my ex and I broke up was because she never had time for me with all her school work and job. But I was the same. When she was free I wasn't and when I was, she wasn't. It went on for 4 months before we had the talk. We promised we'd stay friends when it was over. We didn't.

its hard, but it happens Distance is a very hard thing to work with :(
im sure that things will work out for the best in my experience it always does

Sometimes when you love someone, its hard to let go of them, even though theres a lot of obstacles in the way. I've had a long distance before and it was a nightmare- perhaps when you have the possabilities to see each other such as a car or money for transport- then it would be more suitable to persue hopefully you'll stay friends until then, but sometimes life isn't a fairytale. However, perhaps by then you may have found someone a lot better suited for you and nearer to you to.
When your heart breaks, don't give up and shut your eyes to all the other people who could get to know you and love you a lot. And i'm sure you're a wonderful person, considering all the other people who have posted to see if you're okay. :3
Sorry if this didn't help at all! D: But I hope it did. :)
You can do it and i'll be rooting for you! (If you want more advice you can always PM me or whatever)
Much hugs to you. :3

im feeling a little bit better. i have been in 2 NSA relationships the past day and a half and for some reason that numbs the pain of heart break

For some people, (long) distance relationships just aren't the way to go (even though an hour and a half isn't long distance to me, I'm not you, so it doesn't matter). You'll find the right someone sometime though.
I've been with my mate for almost 2 years and it's a long distance relationship (I live in Maine and he lives in Illinois, which is a 4-5 hour plane trip). We work hard to stay together because we love each other to no end, even though being apart tears us both apart inside.
Sometimes those things just don't work for people. But you'll be okay. Just don't give up.

Well.
Everything happens for a good reason, and sometimes we can't see that good reason at the moment.
But later on we eventually do.
Also, theres plenty of other fish in the sea, hun.

(Hugs Patches) It hurts when you have to let someone go... I had a long-distance relationship, and we were so great with each other....
...I feel your pain man. (Offers rock candy)

It may be a kind of morbid way to think of things, but it comforts me.
We're meant to lose the ones we love - how else would we know how important they were to us? I know it doesn't help to say "I know how you feel" because I don't. Each one of these tragedies is like a specifically tailored torture that must be overcome independently. Friends are there to help when you call though :)
[Queue vain attempt to comfort]
"It is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all"?
