The world of electricity will never be the same again... (probably)

That is pretty impressive.
It'd be interesting to see that implemented in real life.

Wow!
It's amazing how technology can advance like this. Perhaps in 20 years time we'll all be flying (literally) around in electric cars!
This guy seems to know exactly what he's talking about, and it looks pretty amazing the way he made that phone turned on.

I've always wondered why power wasn't wireless if a radio wave transfers energy why can't you harness it? You could even do it with sounds waves, have a speaker transmitting "the power" and a material (preferably with a resonant frequency of the transmitter) which vibrates and just hook up a generator to that.
-
^ err... probably 'cause you can't concentrate the waves efficiently enough to transfer the energy. And it takes a stupid amount of sound energy to get anything done. And if you're using electricity to power the speaker, which vibrates the material that runs the generator, you create a loop that goes nowhere...

Yes, energy loss is probably the biggest problem with that, but if you could get at least 25% efficiency it would definitely be worth it, depending on the distance.

Wow, that's awesome...
...I want one. :3
