this looks like an AWESOME movie...I love these kind of movies...made by the same people that did Independence day and Day after tomorrow...
Here's a trailer..

It's funny, because when I first started seeing trailers for this movie, it was probably like a year ago, and at first I thought it was a joke or advertisement or something from people who are worried the world's going to end in 2012. Then after I realized it was an actual movie and saw one of the newer trailers, it was like... "Woah. Lots of cool explosions." :o
I can't wait to see it. :P

It looks like an awesome movie! but i'm curious to know how all the occurrences are going to play out... because in the day after tomorrow everything happened soooo quickly that it didn't seem realistic. I just hope this one is better.

Oh sounds cool..........Wait the creators day after tomorrow? independents day? and Godzilla......Yeah those where ''great'' movies -.-'
And the answer is yes. I'm not going too give this movie a shot because of the directors ^_^

Reviving this topic since the movie has come to theaters since the thread died. :P
Did anyone go see 2012?
I thought it was pretty much awful, lol. It was just too ridiculous.

I actually liked it.. i loved all the special effects and that stuff.. i mean.. i know it isn't real but i thought it was a pretty good movie :P
My biggest question after i saw it was actually how much of the movie was created in the computer hehe...
-
i didn't really like it, the special effects were good....but there were no spaceships >.<, completley ruined it for me

Its Russian B)
Ignore what i said above <.< My friends Kidnapped me and made me See it k?
Well, The effects where top notch and it definitely wasn't as bad as i expacted, An Totally OK movie actually^^

Yes, I actually think that would have made it better. The movie was already pretty ridiculous, spaceships would have fit into the story just fine. And they certainly would be more interesting.

I thought the movie was dumb myself too, but for me this was just like other action thrillers ex: Shoot Em Up and Crank, I just loved the car scene when they were driving to the airplane in what was left of California and all those suspense moments, actiony goodness.
I still can't figure out where all those people that were hoping to board the arks got $300,000,000 euros, that sounds impossible to me since some of those couples looked like they were in their 20s and 30s :/

Oh, and one other major thing that bothered me:
Most of the people getting saved were in their 50's or older! Not exactly the greatest plan when you're trying to repopulate the planet.
-
Oh yeah didn't notice that, did any of them besides the Russian guy have children on the ark?

I heard it was stupid and dumb...
