Title: What did you accomplish today?
Post by: RosiWolf on July 29, 2009, 08:51:57 PM: Honestly, the title says it all. Today I wondered 'What do my furry friends do in their spare time?' and so I came up with this: 'What did you accomplish/do today' thread. It's a bit pointless and maybe a bit dull, but hey, it's a bit fun. Make it as detailed or short as you want.

To start:

Today I made a berry smoothie and went to the doctor's office. There's not much to do since I got my surgery...

also I played Crysis Warhead with all the graphics set to max and helped brainstorm harry potter fanfiction for my sister.

oh and umm.... yeah that's it...

oh and i rejected the attempts by my cat to get me in bed with him.

I did some moderator work, checked out when PortCon is next year since my friend had heard about it and I was thinking "Oh my goodness! There's an anime con in Maine?! :o", looked for faux fur fabric online because I'm going to get some eventually to make some stuff ^_^, and checked out info on getting contacts/costume colored contacts because I want to get them eventually since I think they're sweet :3.

Got plastic mesh/canvas and started working on a head base. Found an easy way to get to JoAnn's!! Also, learned JoAnn's doesn't hold balaclava. Not that they know what it is. :/

I finished everything with the plastic canvas mask... Even the jaw. The construction behind it is full of hate. There's some consequences behind how I made it, but they'll be shrouded until I can get to foaming and furring. I hope it all works out. :(

Then I sanded, conditioned, painted, stained, and wiped down 119 12' x 6" wood ceiling planks. I'm dying from the fumes and tomorrow I get to install them all with my hammer and nails. D:

I'm quite the handyman.

Your not the only handyman here Spike, however I cannot be trusted with nail guns for reasons not to be explained unless being asked about it through a PM.

They're awesome. I saw them in Las Vegas when I went in September '07. As a matter of fact, I'm wearing the tank top I got at that show right now. lol.

I accomplished getting $11 worth of gas so I'll have enough to get to my chiropractor's app. tomorrow and my volunteer orientation this coming Saturday (and probably groceries afterwards too since I get them every Saturday).

This morning I woke up on time, and got to school to meet my gf at the bus drop-off. Throughout the whole day I had a summer cold, so I didn't want to kiss her... :( Anyways, in drama class, I got the part of a gay guy in "The Leramie Project" and during rehearsel, I made the class cry because I cried for my scene. Then I got to direct my play after school, getting to know my new cas I recruited and handed out their scripts. I began writing "Ensign" and love how it's sounding!! Lastly, I worked more than I was supposed to because it was really busy so they let me have a free meal! :) Pretty good day I'd say.

Managed to get to gym in time, too! Yay me!

Then when I got home, I got an email saying my doorhanger had been backordered and will be shipped out tomorrow.

And played a couple songs on my guitar for my brother. Whenever I messed up, he bopped me with a cardboard tube.

And then I got here. :3

I fixed my PS3 and controllers, went over to the mall and yelled at the Sony guys for a while b/c they couldn't fix it >:( then I went all the way across town to the dive shop and got me some neoprene cement since I got minor stab wounds in my wetsuit, fixed it shortly later, went over to home depot, picked up 1 12' and 1 8' pine tounge and groove, drove them back home, sanded them, painted them, and conditioned them. THEN, while the wood was drying, I went and reconfigured my PS3, redownloaded all the content and even had time to pwn some n00bs on CoD: W@W.

And now, here I am. :D

So I sent those out in the mail. I also sent my request for my transcripts to my high school...though I could have just gone into the school and given the papers to my old guidance counselor...but I didn't want to have to wear one of those visitor passes.
I also called the chiropractor's appointment to set up an appointment to make up for the one I forgot about yesterday. >.<
So all I needed to get done today, I've gotten done. ^_^

I used a broken guitar strap's nylon (the plastic on it snapped so I used the nylon), cut it into a thin strip and sewed it onto a piece of elasticated nylon from another cat collar, and so far all I need to do is put holes in it and properly size it!

Though really I just pointed out the fact that all my drawings around the house are of animals or anthros, so he called me a closet furry as a joke, and I informed that I like furries and that I'm interested in all the stuff around it. I never actually say that I am a furry or that I have a fursona. So he calls me a closet furry. he finds it weird, but then he finds me generally bizarre anyway, so this is just an extension of that.

I'll say to you what I said to him. Try the Unity development kit / engine. It's amazingly easy to use, especially since it's properly capable of professional level games. EA use it on their Tiger Woods online game, and a lot of the recent iPhone games use it too... oh yeah and it's FREE!

I managed to scare players on the opposing team into near submission on the AVP demo on my 360. It was quite good fun...There were four of them, I kept hissing and moving around on the roof around the corner. I heard them through my headset they were like "OMG WTF WHERE IS IT?! WERE GONNA DIE!!" One actually took off screaming and shooting randomly, after theat I moved in and slaughtered the remaining three with a tailwhip for an entry and a backattack for a finisher. The third guy managed to get shot by his friend while I attacked them.

It'll be my gift to myself for making it through my first semester of college since my semester is over after the first week of May.
