well, the title says it all. shadowrun is a pen and pencil table top RPG. similar to dungeons and dragons. although, unlike dungeons and dragons, shadowrun is set in the future. only 70 years in the future in fact. the technology isn't too far fetched, but it's not normal every day stuff also. in addition to the future aspect of the game, magic is also allowed with a deep and fair rules system.
in shadowrun there is a history, and explanations for everything written above, and much more leaving no holes in the plot. shadowrun is a very interesting RPG that involves a complex character generation system, turned based system, combat system, and success system.
i know that many people don't want to participate in an RP that is turned based and luck based like shadowrun, but if your intrigued by this idea please ask me, and i will fill you in. if you want to play, then i can find a way to include you in a campaign i play with my brother and my other friend. if you have any questions just ask me. i didn't want to type up everything i know about the game if nobody was interested. ya know.

Sure. I'll try. I need a good RP.
-
do you know anything about the game? or about table top RPG's in general?
-
Well, I have played a little Dungeons and Dragons, but other than that, no.
-
would you like to learn more about shadowrun?
-
Yes I would.
... Isn't Shadow Run a SNES game?
-
SNES? i don't know what that is. sorry.
shadowrun is a table top RPG that is set in the 6Th world, Seattle. around 2011, on the Aztec calender instead of predicting the end of the world, the calender predicts the return of magic to the world we all know. the return of magic has many changes on teh population of earth, mythical creatures appear and humans have changed. the human species has changed into 5 new ones, homo sapiens sapiens (humans, they make up a slight majority of the planet) homo sapiens nobilis (elf's) homo sapiens robustus (orks,), homo sapien ingentus (troll) and dwarfs (i forgot the scientific name for them.) they all coexist peacefully (mostly) now.
there are some of the basics for the back ground of the game.

Hmmm... none of those five races sound very interesting. Do I absolutely have to be one of those? I guess it doen't matter.
-
you do have to be one of them, as a base species at least. if you chose to change your chatacter, you can inact SURGE qualities and you can look like any any mal you want. for my friend's chatacter, i gave him satyr legs (legs that are shaped like a quadruped's hind legs) unusual hair so he had fur, claws and a balance tail.

Hmmm... interesting. But I don't know if I even want to fuse my character with a mythical creature. I'll think of something.
