Title: new tiger.
Post by: kiteruner on May 29, 2009, 10:40:37 PM
What's up? I'm the kite runer. (Hey, it WAS a good book, even though it was a bit sad) any way. I'm the new local tiger. I know I'm just another newbie here, but i hope a few people stop bye this (i don't know what you call them) and say hi to me. Thanks.

Furthermore, joining up here is a secret experiment. If I'm found out I'll never be able to return here again. Ha, i know i sound grim, but it could be worse. I hope to meet some new people and learn some more about the furry world.

PS: the foxes are cute.  :)

Forever and ever is as long as possible, but i understand. Still, the longer the better, for all furries :)

Well if the problem is parents tracking you, just clear the cache in internet explorer or firefox

Firefox > Tools > Clear Private Data > select all and delete content
Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Delete Files *and select delete all offline content*

i know how to do that. thanks a heap for making sure i know. thanks dude. so, umm what do you do on a forum?

Post by: White Wolf Guardian on May 30, 2009, 09:35:43 PM
Well you chat with people you don't know, try to make friends of course. Friends last forever :)

Maybe find new things that you didn't know you liked before and even try new things. I really want to go to one of the aforementioned furcons, there you can meet other furries which means more nice people :D

no, i mean, literally what do you do on an online forum?
Title: Re: new tiger.
Post by: White Wolf Guardian on May 30, 2009, 10:02:01 PM
Well generally you can do roleplaying, chat on the posts, make your own topics in the appropriate sections, and type, type, type away. If you don't enjoy talking about random subjects, a forum is not for you, but if you do, you will enjoy this place very much :D

within the context of the forum rules, whatever you want, more or less. For me, the forum is becoming a creativity vent.

I've only just got here, but i see it as a perfect place to enter the roleplaying world. I've dabbled with it before on games like Garrys Mod, but forums generally are a bigger, better stage, which gives more freedom for creativity.

Also this is a cool place to show off furry art.

Though at its core, a forum is a kind of basic social network with the scope to expand into all sorts.

Actually I'm writing a script for a Gmod movie that'll have lip sync and animations and everything.

it dosen't matter to me, i don't care what you guys talk about here. this is a place where we can talk about what ever you want. i don't want to even try to stop anything creative going on here. if that makes sense.

hey, some one smited me, i've posted 7 or 6 times, what did i do wrong?

I shouldn't encourage this... but if you use Safari select...
Safari > Private Browsing
Nothing you do during that session will be recorded.

Karma doesn't necessarily mean anything.

I know how you feel, someone smote me yesterday :'(

But as I've heard before on other places like trueformwithin.org, the karma meter doesn't really mean anything.

Still, it is sort of a symbol of status.  If a person has -72 karma you might think of them differently than if they had a +72.

But it doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Yes, if there's a large number of karma leaning one way or the other, it's a better indication, but even then, it's sometimes false.

Anyway. Welcome, kiteruner. :)

Yeah, I got the smite when I first joined too and was a little off-put. After that, I vowed to use my karma powers on others only when they are really deserved.

I applaud you for that one Witty, but yea back from the karma subject.

Gotta love FF, continue to chill here kiteruner :-*
