Sorry if this has been made already *takes a defensive stance*.
A couple of my closest friends know, which is like three, but as soon as an another friend calls me, I'm going to tell him.
As for family, absolutely no one knows. They would all think I'm possessd by something. So I was just wondering, do you others tell people your a fur?

Go ahead and tell them, there should be no reason to keep secrets like that. And if they happen to have experience with furries and take a negetive stance towards it go ahead and defend it. I really haven't told my friends because 1. It really hasn't come up and 2. they probably have no idea what a furry is.

I personally don't think it's a big deal. I haven't told anyone either, but it's because it has never come up. I'm much more worried about them knowing that I'm an atheist bisexual. ^_^;
Just for kicks, I'm gonna tell one of my friends tomorrow and see how they react.

I didn;t become a furry untill i asked my friend about it.
I told my dad and he dosn't really seemed bothered by it.

I've only told one person I know in RL, and it took a long time before I got around to it. He took it okay, but I'm not going to push my luck with other people.

I've told my very close friends and I'm very open about it anyway.
I've had people walk up and ask me and I honestly told 'em I am.
They were very respectful.

As for family, I highly doubt I could ever tell anyone except my dad.
But hes in jail so that'll be about 4 years.

Well, only one person knows I'm a furry, but three others probably have a good idea. Right now they just think I draw commissions for furries, hopefully, they don't freak if I tell them. Most of my school doesn't know what a furry is but the rest either hates them or dislikes them...

almost everyone that knows me, knows I'm a furry. Including Family. lol Most friends have no Idea what they are, but still.
Sometimes my mom makes fun of me but I really don't care. She don't know what a furry is either anyways, She just makes fun of it....
So yeah! I tell anyone I meet. It ushually comes up fast for me because I have a paw print as the wallpaper of my phone, Furries on both front and back of my binder, I make random barks and weird jazz like that, and I always talk about new things I saw on ebay such as fursuits, tails, ect. lol so yeah, I really could care less who knew I was a furry. If they had a problem with it, thats really, their problem. :3

I went to High School with a bunch of furs...so about 7-8 people i knew in High School knew I was a furry...two of them were artists...um..as far as family? my sister knows..but doesn't seem to care..possibly my mom...my co-worker...I don't DARE Tell my Boss!!..he'd make fun of it for sure...he's just that kind of guy...he thought my name "Debonis" was a 'gay' name as he put it...but that's him...he's the straightest guy you'll ever see...he's one of those guys that actually LIKED the web site of something involving a cup and two girls...I think my one cousin and Aunt know as well..but i'm not sure...
I'd have a harder time telling people that i'm bisexual...

The only person who knows I'm a furry is my boyfriend.
If I told anyone else, I don't think they'd understand what a furry is anyway.
Maybe I'll make a blog on my myspace saying what a furry is and that I am one...we'll see...

thats cool the only ppl who know is my friend (also a fur) my bro (a semi fur) and a few senior friends, i hope they don't tell, i get picked on as it is for being me, and sticking up for my friends, and sides furrys get horrible rep every where here, like the american dad episode with the furry secene uggg my friend would kill someone if he saw thatt... but other than that id think neone else knows, i think i'll tell my friend, i hope he dosen't freak out

I told my cousins yesterday... he didn't have a clue as to what I was talking about. XP He just shrugged it off and we started talking about something else.

A lot of people know about me being a fur.
My parents dont know but I dont hesitate to tell anyone if they ask me. Most of my friends know and even a lot of the soldiers in my company at work know.
I have nothing to hide about myself, if people dont like it then I dont let it bother me.

A lot of people like the guy above know I'm a furry. I might not have a furr-suit, but i has a tail >:3

Yeah i tell my friends that i am a furry but most of them dont even know what one is and the ones that do they are happy about it :D :)
