Hey furs I'm going to start a MS Paint tutorial for all though who wish to use Ms paint to express there art.
The First thing you must have is an outline so to start make an outline first and dont worry if it looks too simple detailing is the last step I will teach
Using the line instead of anything else the line is easier to control than the pencil and you can make Lines bend easy if you take the time.
Ok this example already has a base color but it will have to do (I'm lazy)

Ok Next thing to do after you have finished the outline is to add the base color. This will be the main color of your character or whatever you are drawing
After that add any designs You would wish Example the grey flamey Blotches on my fur in the previous drawing
ok now comes the hard part detail I began to make a fur detail by using a slightly darker color

can u see the texture of fur begin to show?
Next is the Final fur detail to the outline to add this Fur effect pick the largest line and make it overlap the outside of your drawing at an angles making a saw look but making the drawing look more furry in the process

If I was unclear about anything Please leave questions for this Lesson and I will help you as best as I can more lessons will follow. Thanks Wulf064

Where do you get MS paint? (confused)
-
Should come free with any version of Microsoft Windows
-
Oh, cool. I'm working on playing with the shading technique on Paint because I feel my sketches need paint.
-
Heh shading is easy all you do is pick darker color that is the same color
-
yea, but I'm quite picky about it being a shade darker, to add shadows or a shade lighter to show highlights...
-
Hmm Yes it all depends on what you want done and the lighting effect you are trying to show also the distinguishing marks on a character seem better if shaded
NEWS: I have Gimp now but I will continue to use paint first and modify with Gimp second untill I complety figure out Gimp
-
How does everyone get gimp? It doesn't seem to like my computer... :(

Man I wish someone would teach me gimp (a lot of options makes Paint look mentally retarded)
Uh here is the website Sis http://www.gimp.org/downloads/

Thanks, I'm going to try to convince my pop to let me have more freedom to install stuff.

Thanks for making the tutorial Wulf. I'll try to make a picture using MS Paint sometime, hopefully it won't be too bad.
And if you wanna learn how to use GIMP and all its features, xShadowx's probably the best person to ask. That's how he edits his pictures and he told me about the program (although I didn't ask him how to use it, I'm just figuring things out on my own), but I'm pretty sure he'll help you if you ask him.
