Deep in the darkness, a shriek of life is heard, that primal scream caused the entire cavern to come alive in a rage of sound and movement. From the northern side of the cavern came the snow dwelling, from the south, those of magma, from the west, those of the plants, and from the east, those of the mines. All of the denizens in the deep, transformed and twisted by radiation and the all consuming darkness. This is their daily struggle.

Name: Zanarock Runsmash
Species: Giant Were-polar bear
Mutations: Retractable spikes all over his body, Exceptional strength, Jumping prowess, Minor regeneration
Origin: North
Weapons: Two Two-handed swords, Claws, Teeth, Pickax.

Name: Rigor Mortis
Species: Dragon Hybrid
Mutations: Minor regeneration, able to detect / feed off spiritual energy, able to change skin color at will for stealth purposes, seems to have a "super-sanity," a form of ultra sensory perception. She has fire breath, but unlike normal fire, hers is black and causes whatever it touches to decay as it burns.
Origin: South
Weapons: Scythe, teeth, claws, dark magic / energy.

Nodding to friends old and new, he sees his good friend Rigor Mortis, and quickly moves to her. "Why hello Rigor. How has the year treated you?"

Name: Shadow
Species: Anthro Panther/plant
Mutations: His right eye is a cloudy green color, like glass, and can 'see' the life force of others, unless they are unconscious or dead. His skin, gums, and tongue are all green, he has moderate regeneration, and a mild poison in his claws. Not lethal, but enough to disorient and incapacitate.
Origin: West
Weapons: His claws, plated with an odd cobalt colored metal

Rigor stood among the crowd like a stranger, until one approached her. It was Zanarock. "Ah I've been better, but also worse. Seems the surface world hasn't changed very much since I last visited." She sighed taking in the view of all that were here. "One thing I've never qite understood, though.. Why do we have these gathering as annually as we do?"

He grinned toothily. "Because, we all need each other, from the north comes water, the south stone, the west food, and the east metal."

"Watch who you are calling food, my friend." Shadow emerged from the crowd, his robes flowing behind him.

He sighed and turned to face Shadow. "You know what i meant. You bring the vegetation, there is meat everywhere."

Shadow laughs, exposing the green flesh of his mouth. "Ah, that I do. So, how go the affairs of the North?"

"Well, how would I know, I'm only a hunter. Sure I guess its good, but I couldn't tell you."

Rigor yawned and leaned back onto her tail as if a kangaroo would laughing, "Though I hope I don't offend you that I do enjoy a salad every now and then."

The feline turns and smile. "Ah, Rigor. You think such things would offend me?" He places his paws over his heart, staggering backwards. "Your words cut me to the core."

"I don't think it would offend until I started covering you in dressing." she smiled licking her lips with her striped purple tongue.

"You're just jealous that you can't feed on the sun." Shadow smiles, flexing his claws and looking at the surrounding crowds. "It appears nothing drastic has struck the lands of late, at least nothing that would thin our numbers."

"Do not speak too brashly, we have lost many, whether to hunger, illness, or something else."

Name: Mahi Smythe.
Species: Monkey.
Mutations: She's blind but can see through vibrations in the earth and can bend earth (if you watch Avatar, you'll know where I got this from), which makes mining easy for her (although she was born in the west, she went to the east because that was a better place for her and her 'talents'). She also discovered that there's earth in metal so she can bend that too. Her other senses are very sensitive from being blind as well. The normal talents of a monkey and she's swift.
Origin: Born in the West, but now lives in the East.
Weapons: Earthbending, martial arts (can you guess what style? haha), twin sai.
Mahi came out from the entrance from the East, late as usual. She was late every year and she didn't care. She didn't ever feel like rushing to the reunion, she just took her time...she knew everyone would be there when she got there anyway and it's not like she was anyone important. She stood there kind of back away from the groups that had formed. Almost everyone would've thought that she looked lost and didn't know where she was or what she was doing since she was blind and all...but she wasn't lost at all, she just didn't really have anyone to socialize with since her family wasn't too happy when she left her home to go to the East instead and she didn't have many friends, and the ones she did have were socializing with friends from the other places who she didn't know.

Turning away from the others to search for more friends, he sees Mahi, late again. Going to her as silently as he can, he quickly picks her up. "HA! Gotcha!"

She chuckled, not sounding the least bit surprised. "Zanarock, you're not as sneaky as you think you are, you know..."

His Smile faded. "Well, I feel bad now, i must be getting rusty, i cant even sneak up on the blind! If this keeps up ill be out of a job."

"Well, you must remember, I'm not your average blind fur. You're not getting rusty, I'm just...special." She smirked.

He sets her down and smiles. "well, we should go back to the others."

She felt more relaxed with her feet now on the solid ground. "Alright then." She said then moved through the crowds of furs and easily avoiding the ones crossing in her path. She was very agile for someone who was blind, but most of the others who were there wouldn't understand how she could be since they didn't know her.

Shadow places a paw on Mahis shoulder, making absolutely no attempt to be stealthy. "Ah, well look who finally arrived! Did you take your time? From the looks of things your little trick still works fine."

She smiled at the familiar sound of Shadow's voice, even though she had "seen" him already through the vibrations in the earth. "You know me...I always take my time." She said, smirking. "Which trick? You mean the one where I look like a helpless blind monkey but really if you sneak up on me you cause no surprise and I could've taken you down before you knew what was happening?" She questioned though she sounded like she already knew, but she could've been wrong...she just liked pointing out that she could do that. "Yeah...that trick works perfectly still." She grinned kinda evilly.

Rigor Mortis yawned, somewhat bored with conversation despite the new arrival. She wasn't all too familiar with this one, and therefore watched the others interact, leaning back on her tail as a kangaroo might for support.

Returning to everyone, he notices that things are dying down.

Mahi bended the earth underneath her to come up as a kind of stool for her to sit on, making it so she was still at the same height as she would be standing. There was a piece bended up where her feet sat too so she could still "see". She turned her head from side to side to view what her feet were telling her was there.
