And it's going to do a lot less good if furs are the only ones signing it, so get non-furs to sign too.

So I just received a response and a confirmation on the response with regards to Furry wearing a furkini.

The appearance of the Furkini is more of a painted over skin which appears more naked then it does a bikini. I asked for confirmation on this and was told that this type of outfit is considered AP. The second image with the clothing, they found as acceptable, even a normal bikini was ok as long as there appears to be a bikini being worn and not skin.

I realize some folks may not like this decision, however this was supported by the team responsible for the VGCP.

Not at all. If all we think of ourselves as furballs, I don't think we'll get too far. We have every right to that program just as anyone else does. Furkinis do not violate any AP rules - they were moved to AP strictly by taste and misunderstanding. We can either accept it, or try to do something about it. I've chosen the latter, and I hope you will too ^^

... you have just as much right to make your point as any other person, even if you like roleplaying as a anthromorph, or dressing as them.. it doesnt change the fact that you're a human, and that you share the same rights

I struggled to keep things that were "safe for adults" in their own way of speaking in the adults' hands, and also struggled to keep rights for adults on IMVU... I knew it was a losing battle and I'm glad I've moved on to better things.

And be careful Deus... they will find any and all reason to stop anyone from expressing distaste for IMVU and they will make a reason to enforce their own opinion on others.

actually, im enforcing them to do so, i was dis-aproving the negative comment about how they wouldnt listen anyways

Post by: Vosur Aekira on June 07, 2008, 09:38:51 PM: The reason that held for the longest time about furkinis remaining GA were that they gave a form of "non-clothed" look without any showing of genitalia of any type. I guess they rescended the whole "looks Bugs Bunny-esque" type of reply that I (and several other ACP members) had received about 6 months ago when the furkini was in danger then.

Just one more tally that would keep me away from using IMVU...
