Title: A Leader Must Be His Own Hero
Post by: Raphial on June 02, 2008, 06:22:24 PM
"As the leader, you must be your own hero." ~Josh Monoke'

Cling! A swords tip stabbed into the rock-solid concrete in front of Raphial's eyes. He lay there, destroyed inside. Blood covering his chest like his own war-paint. His proud eyes turned towards the sky as star-fleets of the Avralian Fleet and Eloe's army and crew flew over him like flies around a light. His red pupils saw the discrimination against the innocent and the loved. Blood spattered across his face as another body fell near his head.

Raph's ear flicked as the body's flesh opened and blood quickly puddled his area. Blood covered around him like his own shield; his arms so weak, so limp, they lay there on the ground like logs. He could not lift them oh no; he was defeated, and that's all he saw in him: defeat. His eyes watered up as he watched the lives and bodies around him fall like wheat under the scythe.

He closed his eyes to think...to think of his life...to think of his friends....his family..his wife...his kids.

"So, you stand down like a dog with his tail tucked under beneath my feet? I thought you were good! I thought you were the number fighter and motivated soul to come here! Pity that I thought you were good enough to challenge." A voice shouted above him in the cry of battle. His silver metal's tip barely touched Raph's neck as Eloe stood above him with an angry look.

"I'm disappointed..."

He closed his eyes once again to prepare his last breath...

"Is this...it? Was this everything I fought for? To lose? To give up? I coward down because I am no match for him...I have fallen beneath his breast of shouts and war cries...I have failed...Or...maybe...is it possible....have I?" Raphial thought to himself as he opened his eyes once more to see his opponent....his rival...his goal walk away from him, slaying all in his path like he was a god.

"Heh heh....You'll have to cut my tail, stab my chest a million times, slice my neck open, gouge my eyes out, cut off my ears, and stab your sword all the way through my chest to finally call the winner of ANY battle that I take on. Come on! Let's go!" a voice yelled out behind Eloe. He stopped and turned around, looking over his shoulder to see Raphial Marshall McDuffy standing with the last bit of energy he had left in him. He held his katana in his right as he put out his left paw towards Eloe was a shear smirk on his face...he was sure to win, or die trying.

"This fight is over with one of us standing and the other left dead." he yelled proudly, "And the figure that will stand high is me!"Raph disappeared in a flash with dust and ground-rubble floating around his last-seen stance. "Over here!" A quick flash of his blade was seen nearly touching Eloe's ear. "No! Over here!" he said again as another sword blow came closer to him near his tail. "Can't keep up?" he spoke again as he dashed around Eloe. Eloe looked around him, trying to keep up with Raphial's speed and agility, "Amazing..."

"It's time to end this once and for all Eloe! Your evil stops dead in its tracks here!" a voice yelled out loud over Eloe's head behind him. He turned around quickly readying his right-handed katana as he saw Raphial coming down upon him with his katana sword ready and with a smile on his face, "This is it! MY last breath!"

...blood made a trail behind him in the air from his former wounds...burns stung all over his body...his gun-shot wound stung like wild-fire....but he still was at it.
