Running away
Away from home
Your parents don’t
Want us alone

Running away
Away from here
Going nowhere
With my dear

Just two kids
high school flames
In high school love
And with no shame

Just running
Bound for nowhere
We halt our journey
For our love to share

Running away

To satisfy
Our need to roam

Just running
From the lies
Not turning back
With no goodbye

To find peace
So the cursing
Just might cease

Bound for no place

But you stopped and stared
