The room was fairly spartan, much the way Vlad enjoyed it. He argued on the phone over their charter plane reservations while Alex sprawled on the rooms one couch. Dave was meanwhile busying himself with cleaning and checking his camera. "No, I do not want a later flight! I paid for today at six, I expect to take off today at six!... Yes, I understand you have other customers, but... Alright, what if I throw in another two thousand?... Two and a half... A pleasure doing business with you, as always in the loosest sense of the words." He set the phone down, cursing aloud. "What was it this time, father?" Alex sat up, his silver furred ears perking. "The usual bartering. But I doubt anyone else would be enthusiastic enough to pay that fool price." He turned to David. "And you have packed all of the equipment?" The wolf simply nods, his mind still focused on his work. "Well, I think I shall double check regardless."

Syracuse grumbled under her breath while her mate fixed her make up for her. "Alex, why can't me move up? Can't they see I'm the best they've got?" She asked, frowning.
He shrugged, wiping a tear from her eye. "Now now, no crying. You'll mess up the make up I worked so hard to fix." He smiled, pushing her hair behind her ear gently. "You'll be fine honey, promise. We'll get a better place after this scoop and move somewhere more appreciative, ok?"
Tomas adjusted his camera bag and smacked the fox upside his head. "Behave." He growled.
The fox growled, rubbing his head. "What was that for?"

For Dave:

"DAVID!" A large burly human barged in through the door, waving order papers in the air, "Somalia, you NOW!" the Papers were about a new surge in the local clan warfare, leading to an even more destructive and deadly famine and Civil war, making the US consider intervening, despite public outcry to stay out of it. A UN Peacekeeping force has agreed to allow any willing news agency to accompany them during patrols.

For Broken:
A signal came through, all it read was, "SOMALIA." A Warlord was willing to give the first Western news agency into Somalia an exclusive interview.

"Stop being stupid and grab the equipment. We've got a plane to catch."
He grumbled, flicking his tail in irritation. "You know, I don't have to come with you guys this time."
She read the signal and groaned. "We're going to samolia."

For David: Still Waiting

For Broken:
The private airport was a buzz of activity, other news agencies trying to charter a plane out of the country and to neighboring Etheopia, then to be "Escorted" across the border by US Friendly Militias to another smaller airport to then be flown to the Now Neutral Aden Adde International Airport near Mogadishu. Broken's crew was the only ones to have secured an actual flight, to Ethiopia, they still had no plans for what to do once there.

"Silk, you know how to get to Ethiopia, right?" She asked the pilot, giving him a hello hug.
The panther smiled, hugging her tightly. "Of course love. I wouldn't forget. Is your nameless helper tagging along this time?"
"Yea, we can't get rid of him." She replied, winking.
"Are you two done with the hugging and mushy stuff now?" He asked, chuckling.

Nameless grumbled under his breath about the annoyance this groups caused him and hauled the heavy bags of camera stuff into the jet. His long, sleek grey fur rustled in the wind.
Alex helped him load the last bag and patted him on the shoulder. "A couple more trips and you'll be free of us." He whispered, winking secretively.
His expression went from indifferent to sour. "Who says I don't like you?"
He chuckled. "You mope when we ask you to do things and you groan when we make you carry anything, that's who." He smirked, smacking him playfully upside the head.
He grumbled, rubbing a paw along the back of his head where a small lump was forming.
Syracuse moved back so Silk could look her up and down. "What do you think of the new look?" She questioned, smiling.
"I like it. Very you, my dear. Where's Alexander?"
"Picking on the newb." He glanced around, a little agitated. "Let's get going already. I'm hungry."
She burst out laughing, bending over. "You always think with your stomach, don't you Tomas?" She teased, lifting his chin with a claw.

Vlad pats the human on the back, taking the papers and grabbing his bags. "The flight has already been booked, my friend. Relax, and have a drink on me." He hands the human a pawful of rubles. "We are on top of things, so there is no need to be so uptight." Alex and Dave grab their respective bags and head for the elevator, Vlad staying to make a little smalltalk before heading to the elevator.

The Ethiopian Airport was busy with UN and US aircraft, personnel and Vehicles, Soldiers and APC's driving across the runways and C-130s landing and taking off. Broken's crew was told to wait at the New Empire Hotel, a 5 star hotel where their contact had told them to stay, his only word of caution being, "Keep your money in your boot."

The private jet the Russian crew had boarded was making great time, they had already gained UN clearance to land directly at the Aden Adde International Airport, given that they could not leave the grounds without at least some form of contact with the Peace Keeping forces deployed.

Vlad takes a deep breath of the air as they wander through the airport. "You can almost smell the political unrest, eh?" He had to give the UN Peace keepers some credit. He had been through less thorough searches when the threat of nuclear death raining from the skies had been openly threatened. Of course no one had managed to find the Kalashnikov sub machineguns, not an entirely accurate designation but close enough, he had concealed within their gear. A defensive measure of course, one he had picked up in his last career, but he was not to be caught without some type of weapon, least of all not in a warzone. The wolf seemed nervous, but Vladimirs son carried a youthful smile he recognized well enough. He had seen it often enough before, occasionally in the mirror.

After her giggle fit subsided and they landed. She collapsed on the bed in the hotel, hoping to get a few hours of sleep before their contact wouldn't arrive for a while. Her eyes closed easily and she sighed into sleep.
He stood at the door, watching people and furs go by. His ears twitched at every noise and his tail flicked in rhythm with his thoughts. He'd lived in the streets of Atlanta for a reason.
Tomas sat on the second bed, picking at his fur boredly. His sea green eyes glowed brightly in the little bit of light from the lamp beside the beds. His tail remained wrapped around a complex circuit board as he was still thinking about what he could do next to finish the first piece of his machine.
Alex lay next to Syracuse, watching her sleep. She slept so peacefully.

For Broken:

At about 8:30 Somali time, a tall, lean Somali man with a light Kalashnikov Rifle strapped to his back creeped into the hotel, calling for the crew in their room. Soon the Crew was herded into a small Sedan, driven by the informant and another Somali with a LA Dodgers' Cap. The somali, calling himself Captain, whispered to the crew as they went through the darkened streets, the only lights from the headlights and the camera which was recording, "You must be very quiet, at the moment the Americans are this close to sending in troops again, for now all we have to contend with is the UN, but either way, be quiet." He looked out the side window at a group of young somali militia, all were chewing Khat, "Also, make sure to look out for anyone with Yellowish-Green Teeth....theyre not so stable." the car rambled along the side street.

The Russian news Crew was awoken at 8 to follow an armored UN column as it delivered medical and food provisions to an Israeli Aid Station on the outskirts of Mogadishu. the UN driver, a Pakistani, motioned out of the bullet proof glass, speaking as if he had prepared a speach for the crew, "These streets have always been a warzone, due to colonialism and civil war, the UN and the Americans have tried numerous times to help this nation, but it's people see us as invaders, unwanted Infidels within their land, I am Muslim myself and can see their point of view, but when hundreds of thousands of men women and children die from disease starvation and warfare, when will it be enough?" He shook his head and sat forward, talking to the driver. A gunner leaned in, the camera swinging to face him, "The Colonel is a peaceloving man, the only reason he joined the UN was to help..... but lately...hes just been down, his brother was killed during the first wave of UN missions here, and he's never been the same." as they moved on, small children tossed rocks at the APC's, the Gunners and Men inside shouting out in Pakistani at them.

He held onto Syracuse tightly, hugging her close. "Honey, you'll be fine."
She nodded, remaining quiet as she watched out the window.
Tomas looked about, making sure the camera bags were secured in the backseat beside him. After he had, he played with the circuit board some more, thoughts racing.

the Sedan moaned as it rounded a final corner, where a shorter, older Somali man was standing, an old Russian pistol gripped in his withered hand, the other was holding a cigarette, which he took a final long drag and threw on the floor. The informant got out of the car and spoke with the man, greeting him with an embrace.  he motioned to the car and motioned for the crew to exit the car.
Later, the crew was outside a moderately large office building towards the center of town, where the older Somali had led them, he turned and spoke clearly in almost perfect english, "Mr. Aidid is pleased to speak with you, he has'nt gotten a chance to talk with Americans since his Father's Death." he motioned inside through a bullet riddled metal door.

Nameless stopped short, surprised. "Wait, y'all speak English?" He questioned, his voice coming out in a high pitched squeak.
Tomas snickered behind his hand, being the only human on the team was enjoyable sometimes. He could go where they couldn't. "Yes, they learned our language a while ago. Where were you?" He teased, slapping the fox on the back.
Alex managed to stifle his laughter while his smile radiated amusement as he watched the fox's expression. "Somalians speak English as well as you or I, some are even better." He sighed, what a lot this kid had to learn.
Syracuse looked the older man up and down, frowning in thought. "Have I seen you before?" She asked, politely bowing.

As the older Somali prepared to speak another man stepped out, he stood at about normal height but his face was bright and cheerful, "I doubt it, Mr. Ubuntu has not been outside of Somalia for some time, and as for your younger friend, Yes, a majority of Somalis speak English, as well as Italian, French and numerous other languages, please, come in."

She nodded, bowing once more. "Thank you very much, sir." She murmured respectfully, her father's training still in her programming.

Vladimir nods first to the gunner, then the colonel, speaking in perfect english. "I understand. I lost quite a few friends in the line of duty. Believe it or not, I served some time in Iraq. Hopefully things there go better for you than they did for us." He turns to David lapsing back into his native Russian. "Keep that camera running. If we run into an ambush and you miss even a single bullet so help me you'll be shipped back to moscow in your camera case. And Alex, keep your eyes open."

the convoy rumbled along, the captain occasionally shouting at the driver.
Suddenly a ripple of bullets pelted the side of the apc, the gunner turning and firing wildly at a large open window. the convoy came to a stop as the peacekeepers engaged their attackers, UN troops taking cover around the vehicles. the Russian news team emerged and filmed the chaos, a technical bursting into flame, militiamen and Peacekeeprs alike catching random rounds from the erratic fire all around.

Crouched behind a tank, the Russians began their performance. David kept the film rolling as the young Silver Foxes dove behind cover. The wolf was unusually lucky, which was most of the reason he had been appointed cameraman. Bullets ricocheted off the heavy armor of the tank in front of him, but not a single round so much as ruffled his shirt. Vladimir grabbed a dropped Maverick carbine, a weapon he had received training with when he had been Alex's age, and began firing back on their attackers, sure to stay out of David's shot.

the Peacekeepers shouted at eachother in a mix of english and Pakistani, firing weapons at every Somali that came into range, a soldier tumbled out of the APC and shouted at the Camera, "Get to cover, you idiots!" the shooting went on, RPG's fired half hazardly into numerous directions, coming nowhere near the Vehicles but decimating civillian homes.

David pivots and ducks behind the tank the instant the RPG's fire, catching the perfect angle to watch the homes collapse. Vlad tells him shots of a concrete barricade and the backs of tanks get horrible rating in very colorful Russian. Alex drags David behind a nearby APC, Vlad following suit soon after. "All this for a bunch of ingrates living on an inland beach?" "Let them decide how they waste their time, as long as it keeps us our jobs," the wolf says, his voice barely audible over the gunfire.

the fire began to peter out, a few stray bullets still pinging off of the armor of the APC's and other vehicles. The commander, with a bloody gash across one eye, orders everyone back into the convoy so that the delivery could at least make it to the aid station.
The convoy arived at the Israeli station and delivered the goods, Medical supplies, Food packages, clothing and so on. The Pakistanis were all Interviewed, along with some nurses and Doctors, and the crew was taken back to the airport, where another news headline read out on their satellite laptop, "Russian Mutiny in St. Petersburg, Return immediately."

Broken: (Sorry been busy ^_^)

Aidid spoke clearly and intelligently, of his clan's wish to end all the fighting and lead Somalia under peacefull rule, however, when questioned on his repeating his father's Hunger tactic, Aidid went silent, instead turning the questions back to America becoming involved yet again.

Broken you have a choice now, Either continue your stay in Somalia for US involvement or hurry to Russia.

"What the hell do you mean mutiny!?" Vlad had been arguing with the feline for some time, but had yet to learn anything even remotely useful. "Is it an uprising or something? Communist resurrection? Middle-class unrest? Details!" "I apologize, sir, but I know nothing of what is happening in St. Petersburg." "Alright, then we'll play it by ear. Get us a helicopter, and I want it ready to fly by the time we land. And don't bother with a pilot, I'll fly the cussed thing myself." In the rear of the plane, David and Alex were busy editing their footage, providing voice over effects, and generally polishing it.

As the Small Heli flew back towards Russian skies, information came over the radio system, the Mutiny was caused by Russian Orthodox church leaders who wanted to turn Russia into a Theocracy, by force, and had a large Militia force that had taken over St. Petersburg before the military could mount an effective attack, now the Military was gearing for an all out urban battle.

"Sir, do you have any comments on how our American president is helping?" She asked, keeping her manners.
