Description: a darkness has taken hold of the land, corrupting everything, and only 2 factions remain, each with 6 races. Those that have embraced the darkness became dark and twisted versions of their former selves. bodies twisting and mutating, abilities being gained, and insanity gaining more and more ground within their minds. the races of the dark are Demons, Fallen Angels, Corrupted furries, Undead, Ogres, and hybrids between any. Those whom fought the darkness gained abilities that would help them to do so. Their bodies, always flawless, are embodiments of pure beauty. The races protecting the light are Angels, elves, nymphs, faeries, Treefolk, and hybrids. Those found on both sides are humans, furries, dwarves, and dragons. The eternal darkness has consumed all but half the world.
Oddly, there is one party that has always stayed neutral, the goblins, merchants and mercenaries, they are the only common ground between both sides, the goblins are where the trades meet, regardless of faction or affiliation.

Mutations/Distinguishing features: Spikes protruding from body in no pattern, wings, and tail
Race:Dragon/Demon
Weapons/Abilities:Fists, control over darkness, Acid breath, consume self in flames, chilling aura, Ice Breath, flame hands, Poison fangs, and a great ax.
Description of looks: Horns protruding from his forehead and his spikes retracted, he walked toward the town, his coffin upon his back, concealing his mighty wings, and his abyssal black cloak covering all but his head. The ground was wet ahead, but behind, his footprints completely frozen, and around him the corrupt vegetation wilting and freezing.

Name: Arke
Faction: The Light
Distinguishing features: Mostly his jacket, a dark olive shade with fleece lining.
Race: Furry
Weapons: A hunting rifle and an 8 inch knife
Description: Essentially a hunter turned soldier, the coyotes dress is of no uniform. His clothes are the worn atire of a peseant, though his lithe frame is not that of a laborer. His fur is a light brown, with patches of cream.
Arke crouches on a rooftop overlooking the village market, scanning the area for any signs of the darkness. In his paws he clutched his rifle, a rarity by any means, almost unheard of to be seen held by a peasent. Still, somehow his father had saved enough to buy one, and it had been with them ever since, now in the hands of his only son.

Faction: The Light.
Mutations/Distinguishing features: Pointed elven ears, silver/white fur, and white angel wings.
Race: Hybrid (Elf, Furry, and Angel).
Weapons/Abilities: Very keen senses (especially sight and hearing), flight, telepathy, telekinesis. Uses her claws as weapons, as well as twin sai (bow and arrows are too difficult to carry considering her wings).
Description of looks: She has most of the physical features of an elf (height, ears, etc.), her body is covered with silver/white fur, her hair is white, she doesn't have paws but she has claws, she has piercing blue eyes with the smallest ring of silver around the pupil, and she has large white angel wings. She wears gray-ish silver dress that goes down to her knees with slits in the back where he wings go through and doesn't wear anything on her feet. She keeps her twin sai on her hips.
She walked lightly through the village market, acting relaxed and unaware but knowing that there could be trouble at any minute. She looked back and forth from building to building and stand to stand as she passed, even looking up towards the roofs of some buildings, but she did it in a way that made her look curious about things and not like she was watching for any signs of the Darkness. Nowhere was safe anymore, not even a village like this.

As he approached the goblin's city gate, he yelled to the gate keeper to open up, tossed a few coins his way, and walked in

She notices a furry, a coyote to be exact, on the roof of a building. She examines him for a quick second and she thinks that he seems to be on the side of the Light, but she stays aware of him just incase. She continues to move along through the market.

Looking for the meeting place, he waited until the others in town were looking away, then went down the alleyway to meet Glicks, the goblin black marketeer "So, Glicks, you got the seeds?" "You bet your life I do." Glicks handed the bag over to him, and in return, received his pay, 3,000 platinum coins "You are a great help Glicks, thank you." "Not a problem." Glicks turned, and suddenly felt a sharp, burning stab in his neck, then he went limp. "Too easy." Having not spent or lost a penny, as usual, Barakus walked out of the alley calmly and headed towards the food market

As she continues to walk through the market, she starts to feel something. Someone was coming, someone from the Darkness...

As he walked, he felt that damned purity. Oh how he hated it so. But, it was law not to fight in the neutral goblin cities. He would just have to deal with it "How much for the bushel of nightbane?" "5 platinum." "Alright, ill take 2 bushels" He hands the clerk the money and is on his way to the alchemy shop he runs and maintains

She could feel the creature of the Darkness getting closer as she walked and she could feel it's hatred. As soon as he came into her sight, she turned to a random stand to her right, not wanting to look at him, but still feeling his presence and hatred was just as bad. It felt like a fire inside her. Fighting wasn't aloud here and both of them knew that. It was hard to be around her opposers though when she couldn't get them away by force and she had to tolerate them.

The creature of the dark was in his sights now, but he couldn't risk it. Not only was it illegal, but there were too many innocents around. So, he simply gets into a better position to observe the twisted thing in the market.

As he approached his shop, he noticed the coyote on the rooftops."Bah!" he thought "How cute, he has a toy."

Arke looks down on the thing in the market, jumping to a nearby rooftop for a better view. Had he heard the things comment he probably would have shot it right then, though he doubted a single shot would kill it.

As he opened up and walked in, he picked up a Polymorph potion, drank it and took the form of an old elderly human. "Well, off to work now." He picked up and drank another potion that would hide his auras, both of cold and evil "Wheres the mugwort? Damn it!"

She turned her head towards the creature quickly when she heard its comment, then looked up towards a roof when she caught the movement of the coyote out of the corner of her eye. He had what she remembered was a rifle and knew that was what the creature referred to as a toy. She looked back at the creature and narrowed her eyes as it walked into an alchemy shop, then shook her head and started walking again but closer to the buildings on the opposite side of the market.

He lights up the shop, notifying all that he is open for buisness

He watches the lights come on, but he lost sight of the monstocity as it entered the storefront. He curses, and decides to wait out here. This was a neutral market, after all. "What are you doing..." he mutters softly, and to no one in particular.

He soon set to work making the darkness potion, causing corruption wherever it was spilt

She notices the lights come on in the shop. Hmm...guess he owns it... She thought to herself. She stopped beside a building and leaned her back against the wall of it, and sighed. She looks up when she hears a soft voice muttering "What are you doing..." and realizes that it's the coyote talking, but it seemed that he wasn't talking to anyone in particular. She shrugged and sighed. "This village is so boring." She said to herself as her wings stretched out for a minute and then folded back behind her. She was used to constant action so she was always bored when she came to the neutral villages and cities. Everything felt too slow.

Arke shrugs, shoulders his rifle, and in an acrobatic display comparable to any 12th century assassin, jumps down to ground level. Slowly, he enters the shop and is stunned to find the only living thing inside is an elderly looking human. "Umm, sir, I know this might sound a bit strange, but... er, did you see a demon come through here recently?"

He laughs "Why no my boy, but i do happen to have a potion for you." He hands him a potion of darkness, and a potion of light "Drink these both, you will gain more power than ever."

He eyes the potions suspiciously, his slightly paranoid nature showing itself. "What's the catch?" It was strange, the old man did not give him the feeling of something being just plain wrong he felt around the Dark, but something still felt off. And as always, the worst part to him was not knowing.

She slaps her forehead when the coyote goes into the shop and she hears his question. "It's an ALCHEMY shop. Potions can do many things. Doesn't he know that?" She speaks to herself. Feeling that he might be tricked into something, she walks across the road and into the shop. She moves next to the coyote. "I wouldn't take those if I were you." She says to the coyote while examining the elderly looking human with narrowed eyes.

He laughed again "Nothing gets past you does it young one?" "The Catch is, you have to shoot me with your rifle there, i do not believe that i have anything else to do here on this plain of existence."

He sighs. "Well I just picked the wrong day to go into town, didn't I?" He sets the potions, not so gently either, on a shelf beside him, and turns to the girl behind him. "C'mon, I'm not THAT stupid. You think I'd ever drink a free potion? No way."

His joyful appearance disappears and he sits down, looking sad. "Well i would have guessed you wouldn't trust me, im sorry. Please leave my shop."

She looks at the coyote. "Well, I couldn't be too sure. I couldn't take the risk of somebody falling for something like that." She glances over at the elderly looking man out of the corner of her eye, then looks back at the coyote. "You can't trust anybody these days." She chuckles at the old man after he speaks, then moves for the door of the shop but still aware that something bad could still happen.

He turns for the exit as well, viewing the old man as harmless now that whatever trap he had laid had been foiled. "Look, it's not that I don't appreciate it. Trust me, I know just how bad things have gotten." He adjusts his rifle on his shoulder, sparing a glance back at the old man behind the counter.

She opens the door, walks through, and holds it for him. "Oh, I didn't think you didn't appreciate it. Although, I don't need appreciation, I'm used to not getting it."

Distinguishing features: Black jacket and a fiery temper
Race: Dragon
Weapons/abilities: Sharp claws, katana, fire breath.
Description: Turned down by his own kind to wonder the world alone, because of his temper and not obeying his masters.
Tiamat landed just outside the village. When he walked to the market place he sees an arctic wolf walking into the alchemy shop in a hurry. He wonders whats going on because this being a neutral village and all you never know whats going to happen. But before he can go to look the wolf is coming out with a coyote and it seems like nothing happened after all.

He shrugs, knowing all too well how ungrateful people could be. "Yeah. You save an entire village from a rampaging demon, narrowly escaping with your own life, and the next thing you know you're on the next horse out of town. And God forbid they should give you some sort of payment!"

She lets the door go after he walks out and nods in agreement. "Exactly! It's not like they're doing anything to help themselves but they act like it's our job to help them and we're below them." She shakes her head and mumbles. "People..." Her wings stretch a little and then relax and she strokes the handle of her sai on her right hip absentmindedly.

He smiles, not having anyone to actually TALK to in a few weeks. A paw falls to his coinpurse, giving it a slight tug. "Hear that? I've got three silvers, period. I'm set on food for a week or two, but can I get any armor? And what if my rifle breaks? Even if I managed to find a gunsmith there's no way I could pay him."

She smiles as well. It was nice having someone to talk to, different really. She nods as he tugs on his coinpurse. "Yeah, I understand that. Times are hard for people like us." She said. She wearing her coinpurse around her neck underneath her dress where it wasn't as obvious that it made no sound at all. Of course, she had grown used to not hearing the sound of coins in it after a while.

Now that he had a little more time he noticed that the the both of the fursonas infront of him where part of the light. He started to follow them from a distance because he had nothing else to do.

Arke takes no notice to the other trailing them, mostly because the crowded nature of the market place made being followed part of the routine. "Speaking of which, you hungry? I could go for something to eat." It had been almost a day since he had eaten anything, he was trying to make these coins last.

She doesn't notice the other trailing them either. She always had to block the feeling of being followed in these places because it was so normal and strong. "A little, I guess. But I can survive without food for another day or so..." She said, although she was actually starving since she hadn't in a very long time, she didn't want to admit that she didn't have any money to speak of.

Keeps his gaze on the crowd ahead as he speaks, not wanting to trip. "You sure? My treat. Besides, if I get stiffed again someone's going to have to save the town from ME." He chuckled, reaching into his coinpurse and grabbing a silver coin. "What do you say?"

She chuckled, then looked over at the silver coin. She looked forward again, not wanting to run into anyone, and made her wings hug tighter to her back so that she didn't take up too much room in the crowd. "But you don't have a lot of money as it is, why would you want to waste it on me?"

He smiles, turning toward a small pub on the side of the street. Probably not the best eatery, but it looked cheap. "You're the one calling it a waste." And without another word he vanished into the darkness of the tavern, the silver coin flickering as he flipped it, catching it mid-air.

Follows them into the tavern and sits down by a table in a darker corner ordering something to drink, while curiously watching what the others were doing.

She smiles a little and shakes her head, turning towards the pub as well. She followed him into the tavern and watched him flip the coin and catch it in mid-air.

He lays the coin on the table, already having ordered a plate of chicken for himself and adding "...and whatever she wants" to the end. He turns to her and smiles. "Anything but the lobster. It's not too much, I just hate the smell."

She chuckles. "Eh, I hate lobster anyway." She pauses. "I'll just have chicken." She says to the person taking the order. She didn't really care what she ate as long as it was good and filling. She sat down in a chair at the table and let her wings out a little, glad that she could relax them after being so crowded.

Deciding to close up early, he leaves and locks up, going towards a place that always emanated fun: the Fallen Flagon pub.

She takes her plate when the waitress comes back and starts eating, suprisingly managing to pace herself even though she's starving.

He smiles, knowing she must be as starved as he is, maybe even more so. Still, he paced himself as well, mostly by listening to the piano and the surprisingly intricate melodies drifting from it's outwardly filthy planking.

Walking into the Fallen Flagon, he looked around. Not to his surprise, only followers of the light were here. He never saw any others of the dark, not recently atleast. As he walked in, he stumbled on purpose.

She swallowed a mouthful of chicken and took a drink. She had just set her glass down when the other stumbled in. She looked at him for a second before returning her attention to what she was doing. "Great...him again..." She mumbled and took another bite of chicken.

He shrugs, tearing into his chicken leg. "Let's just hope he's gotten a bit more convincing." He takes a sip of his drink, not liking the taste all that much but knowing that it would do him some good.

As he stood, he let his spikes shoot out, destroying several inanimate objects. As he contracted them back to himself, he shed his guise of the old man. Chuckling, he finally spoke "Bravo, you have succeeded in forcing me back into hiding, how kind."

She felt his hatred before she even looked over at him. She knew it was the creature she had felt earlier. She glanced over at it and had to hold her chicken down that she had just swallowed, and returned her attention again to her plate and her companion. "Can't even eat in peace when I finally get the chance..."

He rolls off his stool, taking a knee and leveling his rifle with the creatures head in a single swift, rehearsed action. "Now let's not scare these good people. This a neutral area, and I'd hate to be imprisoned for ending such a worthless creature as you."

He chuckled "Shoot me, big boy. It will take more than a toy like that to bring me down."

She turned on her stool so she could conveniently watch them both at the same time. She moved her hands to her twin sai, ready for just about anything.

He fires for the things eye, not sure how tough it is but guessing that will be a soft spot. He chambers the next round in a flash, his hand working the guns bolt almost in a blur.

Making an exasperated flip, he lies there, not moving

She pulls out her sai and crosses her arms, shaking her head. She grabs a piece of chicken, eats it, and takes a drink of water and then crosses her arms again, holding her sai the whole time.

He turns to her. "Poke him for me, will ya? And I'm Arke, by the way." Bad time for introductions? Probably, but since when did timing stop him?

She nods and moves to the floor. "I'm Airlea." She says quietly as she stretches out across the floor and jabs the creature's leg with the blunt part of one of her sai, tapping into his mind at the same time and yelling into it, "WAKE UP TIME!"

Almost immediately, his body bursts into flames and one of his spikes extends to Arke's knee, Piercing it.

Shouts a fairly impressive repertoire of curses, though not all in english, or even in any sort of language, continuing even after he has dropped his rifle and fallen to the floor. He stops only long enough to take a breath before sitting up and going on as he tries to remove the spike.

An evil voice envelopes the tavern "Ah ah ah, not so fast big boy. Time to 'Clean up' he he he." He quickly rose and proceeded to spit acid onto the coyote, contracting the spike. The flames that enveloped him were now gone, and an unnatural cold set in across the tavern, freezing drinks.

She curses and sits up next to Arke. She pulls out a fairly big vial for the small pouch it came from. "Here use this on the acid." She says as she hands the vial to him. She spins her legs around and knocks the creature's legs out from under him. She slashes him some before moving closer to Arke again.

As he rises once again, he turns and leaves. "You will never be beautiful again Arke. Enjoy being outcast." Soon as he leaves, the coffin on his back bursts, revealing his 6 foot wings. He takes off and disappears from sight into the darkness.

He dumps the contents of the vial on himself, biting his muzzle to keep from screaming. His claws dug into the floor, and two streams of tears flowed down his muzzle, from which a steady flow of curses still flowed.

She looks at Arke's knee after watching the creature leave. She pulls out another smaller vial and takes the cap off. She looks at him. "That should take full affect in a minute or so and you'll feel fine." She pauses and looks at the vial and his knee. "This is going to hurt some but the pain should stop in about 20 seconds or so." She slowly pours the contents of the vial on his injured knee. She puts the vial back in her pouch along with the other one she had given him to treat the acid burns and looks at him again. "You're going to be fine."

He growls as she pours the questionable liquid over his knee. On the bright side, he had stopped cursing. Of course his eyes burned, his flesh stung, and his knee was in almost mind-numbing pain. His claws dig deeper into the floorboards as he clenches his fists.

She continues to look at him. "Talk to me, Arke. Talking will take your mind off the pain." She grabs his drink off the table, holding it in front of him and not expecting him to take it, she'd pour it in his mouth for him if he needed her to. "Drinking something helps too."

He shakes his head but smiles. "J-just do me a favor and hit me over the head with a barstool..." His eyes were closed tight, tears running down his muzzle.

She chuckles and shakes her head, setting the drink back on the table. "That would just give a very bad migraine when you woke up. The pain is going to be gone very soon, I promise. The bad thing about this stuff is that it doesn't slowly bring down its own pain, it does it more instantaneously. All the pain'll be gone in about 10 seconds." She smiles reassuringly and puts her arm around his shoulders.

He is about to bite down on his arm when all of a sudden the pain is gone. "Nevermind the barstool thing..." He slowly gets to his feet, though his knees are understandably shaky. "Maybe we should call it a day, eh? Two silvers should cover a roof over our heads for tonight."

She chuckles and stands up, examining him. "Yeah, that's a good idea." She gently lifts his arm by his hand and puts it around her neck while putting the other arm around his waist. "But I'm helping you because you're still shaky." She said, making it obvious that she wouldn't take no for an answer.

He nods and smirks. "Whatever you need to tell yourself..." He sets his coinpurse on the bar and starts limping up the stairs to the rooms, grabbing a key from one of the hooks.

She moves along next to him up the stairs to the rooms. "Well, I know how this stuff works so I guess I do need to tell myself that." She chuckles. At least Arke was in a good mood for being in so much pain before.

He smiles, closing his eyes as he opens the door to the rented room. "Hey, I'm going to pass out in a few seconds, so I can only say this once. Can you go back down there and grab my rifle?" No sooner had he finished speaking that he was face down on the floor.

She chuckles a little until he ends up on the floor, then she looks concerned. She shakes her head and manages to pull him up onto the bed, then runs back downstairs and grabs his rifle. She notices that all eyes are on her when she goes downstairs. I guess the creature was right...Arke will probably be an outcast and me along with him because I'm not outcasting him. She thought. She looks around the tavern. "Stop staring at me. You have food to eat and drinks to drink." She snapped at them, then went back up to the room and went in quietly. She laid down on the other bed and stared at the ceiling, slowly drifting off.

He lays on the bed, tears running down his muzzle again. Gods, if he ever saw that monstrosity again... No, best not to think about that. Besides, he felt good enough, and he still had his sense of humor. Plus he had a friend. All in all, things could have been worse. He'd think of something. He always did.

Her eyes open quickly and she realizes that she was still holding his rifle. She sits up and leans it against the bedstand inbetween the two beds, then lays back down.

Arke tosses and turns, getting anything but a restful nights sleep. The nightmare was incoherent but vivid, enough for him to nearly throw himself out of his bed. At least he was quiet about it.

She looks over and sees him tossing and turning then looks back at the ceiling. "Nightmare..." She says quietly to herself. She curls up on her right side and falls asleep soon after her comment to herself.

Stops his tossing and turning, either through with his nightmare or too tired to be scared. Either way, he was outwardly peaceful.

She unsurprisingly dreamt of acid. It was everywhere and there were a lot of people including herself and she only had one vial left. She was scared, but she didn't really make any sounds or movement in her sleep, probably because she didn't want any acid to get on her. If she was making any movement at all, then she was probably shaking.

He ends up falling out of bed around four AM, though it is still not enough to wake him. He simply lays there with his bedding on top of him, snoring softly.

She sleeps through him falling out of his bed mainly because her mind was engrossed in her nightmare. She starts shaking really bad a couple hours after he had fallen out and she rolls onto her back, her wings stretch to their full extent and move a little slowly. The movement gets a little frantic because in her dream she tries to fly over the acid and some gets on her wings and she falls into a bunch of acid. She screams out loud, bolting upright on her bed out of her sleep, covered in a cold sweat and still shaking.

Arke lays still on the floor, thoroughly asleep despite his roommates noise. Of course, the bedding on top of him muffled the sounds pretty effectively, his ears barely twitching as she screams.

She manages to finally calm down and shakes her head. She notices that she's holding her twin sai like she was ready to fight and sets them beside her on the bed. She looks over at Arke's bed to see that he's not in it and looks confused, then looks to the floor and chuckles when she sees that he's on the floor with his bedding over him. She was glad that she didn't wake him up when she screamed. She decides to get up and take a nice, warm shower since she didn't feel like going back to sleep.

Race: Cobra / Demon
Weapons/Abilities: Claws, fists, Poison fangs, pyrokinesis (resistance to fire as well), bladed gauntlets, Jinx, telepathy, and darkness.
Description of looks: A black cobra with shining yellow eyes and long fangs; her hood is decorated with several red tribal markings. She wears a light silver chainmail top with a heavy chained and leather belt with her supplies (potions, money, ect.) attatched to it. She also wears black leather buckled gauntlets with blades that look similar to axes down the outside of the forearm.

Night slithered into the tavern, taking hold of the dreams of those still sleeping and twisting them into horrible nightmares. She had been doing this from afar before, tormenting some young one with acid while she slept... She was bored being in a neutral area; but decided to take a rest. Checking to see if the bartender was looking, she slipped a key off of its hook and slithered up to her room without paying. Carefully, she unlocked the door and went inside.. Closing and locking the door back. As she sat down on the bed, she felt somewhat sick; an large aurora of purity taunting her in the room next door. The one, she realized, turned to two. Night snarled, wishing she could, actually restraining herself not to barge into the room next door and attack the two resting within.

He wakes, or at least stands and casts off his bedding, and makes for his rifle. The fur on his spine stood on edge, and he knew that could mean only one thing. And it as close, too. In the daze that was semi-consciousness he sits on the bed and aims the rifle for the door, his eyes locked on the knob.

Awakening in a tree outside the city, he moved to the fallen flagon and stood on the windowsill of the one he knew as Dream-Taint. "Knock knock, wont someone let me in?"

Night sat up and looked to the window, but she didn't have to look to sense that it was one of her own kind. She smiled a toothy grin, allowing her fangs to gleam as she made her way to the window, opening it to allow the visitor inside. "Good to ssee another among the neutralss."

He steps in and bows. "One of them has a gun, a toy of a thing, but a weapon none the less."He sat on a chair and waited.

Night sneered. "From what I can tell one is hurt. Hurt but pretty much healed." She clenched her fists, "Their aurora is enough to drive me mad. Oh.. If this area wassn't neutral.. I can only have fun with mind gamess here." she sighed, taking a seat on the bed again.

He grinned. "Sleep Dream-Taint. I will return. I need a new coffin."As he spread his wings, he smiled insanely, and took off towards the graveyard.

The cobra nodded, and returned a smile, equally mad. She focused her energy on the male in the room beside her; he was aiming at the door, half conscious, Oh what fun; she thought, I can tease thiss one with night terrorsss; playing with his half conscious state.. She then used her telekinesis to send images of a demon breaking through the room door toward the coyote; the images so realistic, one could not tell truth from fiction. The demon broke a hole in the door and slithered in, roaring and rearing its head back to strike... And upon striking, jolting the canine to a fully conscious state.

She gets out of the shower, dries off quickly, and throws on her clothes, sensing dark energy. She comes out of the bathroom slowly and moves next to Arke on the bed, watching the door with him.

Arke growls and flings himself at the demon, intending to smash it with his rifle butt as it struck him, only to find himself flying toward the door. A thud could be heard as he hits the door, another as he falls to the floor. "Son of a..." It had seemed so real. How could the thing have just disappeared? "Them..." He could tell there were two in the room next to him, or at least had been two. He levels his rifle with the wall, aiming just above where he thought the demon would be, and pulled the trigger, blowing a hole through the wall. He was NOT in a good mood.

The cobra watched the wall above her head explode into pieces. Immediately, she sat up on the bed and smiled, "Aww, puppy can't take a joke?" she snickered as she turned to the hole. Jinx is a good power to have... She thought as she flung negative energy at the gun, the weapon's ammunition immediately falling out and into the floor of the room.

She stands and puts her hand on Arke's shoulder. "Is it really worth going to prison?" She asks him through her telepathy. You don't need to stoop to their level."

Bursting through the window, coffin in hand, he smiles. "Fun? Without me? Tch Tch. Naughty naughty. Time to learn a lesson!" His ax in hand, he jumps up, and in a crazed, feral swoop, destroys the floor and walls in the two rooms. "Having fun yet?" Madly he cackles, grabbing Night and flying away.

Arke lands, not so gracefully, on the bar, his rifle falling onto the floor. He coughs and rolls onto the floor, cursing. "Neutral zone my tailhole!" Getting to his feet he picks up his weapon and dusts himself off. "Well, at least we don't owe them a wall anymore. C'mon, let's get out of here."

"Ah, we've got a view!" Night shouted to the dragon pointing down as people began to scramble to and from the keep; some panicking and fleeing, others running to it to investigate, "Maybe out herosss will take the blame."

'You know well as I that was the point' he thought.

"Ah, but that doesn't mean that they will," she points out the Coyote, reading his thoughts. "He planss to flee."

He turns and flies towards the darklands. Looking down, he smiles. Ah the sweet taste of chaos.

She falls and takes out a few barstools before hitting the floor with a loud thud. She curses as she slowly rises from her landing spot. She scrambles over to where her twin sai landed since she had left them on her bed when she went to take a shower before, then moves back over to where Arke is, dusting herself off as she does so. "Yeah, let's go." She says with pain in her voice.

He heads out into the street, cutting through back alleys until coming to the outskirts of town, constantly mumbling something about the neutral zone. Judging from his tone, he was far from in a good mood. "...And of course we're going to get blamed for that. As if I have the money to pay for a new floor. And look at me! I'm still waiting for my fur to grow back! I need to hurt something..."

After seeing all that happened in the tavern, Tiamat wondered if there was a reason to why he had come to the village. But without thinking long about it, he went of toward the two others who had just got out before people had come running into the tavern, to see what had happened. "This isn`t good." He thought while he was running towards the outskirts of the town. ...He didn`want to draw attencion toward himself, because dragons aren`t liked in neutral villages, because people thought that the dragons were the problem. Luckily he had been on his guard since the dark creatures had come, and was able to hear what happened and get out in time.
He just hoped that he would get to the two before anything else happened, because anything can happen outside neutral areas.

She listens to Arke vent as they walk. Her mood was just as bad as his was, but she had a little more control over it right. She growls as she puts her hands on her ribs, moving them in one direction and then the other, and putting them back in place with some loud pops and cracks. "I know. It's not right and no one would believe us if we told them what happened." She sighs and looks over at him. "You look just fine. Don't worry about it." She stretches her wings out for a few seconds and folds them again, making sure they weren't damaged in the fall. She senses someone tailing them in a hurry. "We're being followed..." She closes her eyes and focuses her mind on the follower, then opens them again. "It's a member of the Light...seems worried about something else happening outside of this neutral zone."

Arke nods, only half listening as he reloads his rifle. "Well if he's with the light we've got nothing to worry about. Let's just get out of here before the guards catch us." The shells clink as he presses them into the breach. "We've got our problems to deal with. If they want to stay out of our way, I'll let them. They want our help, we'll give it. Hell, we've got nothing better to do." He shrugs and shoulders his rifle, pressing through the underbrush that grew around the edges of the woods.

She just nods in agreement with him, running out of things to say to him at this point. She presses through the underbrush with him and pulls out her twin sai, staring at them as their silver gleams, and sighs. She was tired of this whole dispute, just wishing it would end. She grips the handles of her sai tighter and her hands start shaking, whether out of anger or being upset.

Night looked down to see the Darklands. "It'ss been so long ssince I've been back." she said to the dragon demon.

He smiled "Aye Dream-Taint. long have you been out of here, and i have been waiting."

"For what? Me?" The idea of someone waiting for her made Night laugh. She took in a deep breath of the air in the darklands. "I smell corpses."

He smiled. "You are somewhat worth waiting for, the end council isn't complete without you."

"Council?" Again, she seemed confused, "Ssseems like I must have been gone for a while." She thought aloud.

He was surprised. "You have been gone for too long. The council will become amassed later, but for now we see the human known as Uncle Istaban. The insane hermit."

"Inssanity is alwaysss fun." she snickered. She looked down watching swamps and dead trees fly past as the dragon pumped his wings, bent on a destination. She wondered what he had planned and what sick ideas maybe running through his skull...

Approaching the ancient hermits hut, he lowered and landed. The hermit would undoubtedly attack them, offer them some creatures brain, rant and rave something unintelligible, and then take a nap. "Here we are my dearest taint."

"Why thank you." she snickered, not sure what to expect from a mad hermit... She could feel his madness as he stirred within, and it excited her; making her urge to tamper with objects around her with her power of Jinx. It was the power eating away at the back of her mind.. And in a sick way she enjoyed it.

He smiled maniacally. As he moved towards the hut, he heard a cackle and the click of a trap. "Oh Istiban, come out and plaaaaaaayyyyy!"

No longer able to help herself, she smiled, and laughed maliciously. "Time for fuuuun, Istiban! I didn't come so far to be disappointed!" Her eyes glowed white as she made the trap malfunction with a flick of her wrist.

"Visitors?! At this hour? The nerve of that mangy demon! It was noon! How dare he. Although maybe they could share tea. Visitors?! Damn it." Istiban flung himself towards them, Ax in hand. "AyeEEE"

Night crossed her arms above her head catching the axe between her bladed gauntlets, his comments making her laugh even more. She then pushed off, shoving him back a bit. "Tea soundsss nice." she laughed, lunging toward him, gauntlet ready to slash.

He smiles "Oh, well, okay. Barakus you really scored this time! Hehe, Tea it is."Now embarrassed he tries to hide his face. "You old bastard."

Night pretended not to hear that first part as she slithered behind the hermit, she flicked under the Barkus's chin with her tail and smiled teasingly, "I'm not the charmer for you, reptile."

He aggressively nipped at the tease's tail and smiled

Night laughed to herself, thinking about how silly the dragon was acting as she followed the hermit. "Ssso Istiban, what is your tea made from?"

"Hmmm, well, dried peppers, mushrooms, and my hair!" He smiled, the hermit was fun, but only for awhile, they would only stay the night and then be on their way.

"Tasssty," she joked flicking her tongue. She looked to the dragon sensing something, but unsure of what. How long are we staying here? she asked him in her mind, There's much trouble we could be causing.

He replied "Just tonight."

Ah. She looked ahead with her glowing yellow eyes, Good because I'm starting to get the urge to kill this man... Though she didn't seem it, the hermit was beginning to annoy her.. She guessed being deceptive was part of being a being of Darkness.

"Oh istiban, Bye bye." In a flash he runs up and breaks the old hermits neck. Smiling, he walked to the kitchen and began to rummage around.

"Ssspoil the fun." Night chuckled half teasing, half serious. She slithered around the inside of the Hermit's hut looking for gold or silver pieces; some kind of money.

He lays down on the pile of bones and smiles.

She finally finds a bag of silver pieces and attaches it to her belt. Night, content with her findings finds the hermit's old bed and lies down on it, "Ssso, you want to explain more about the council to me, ssince I have been absent for ssso long?" She returned his smile.

He waves his hand and makes gestures as he speaks. "The Darkness council will form and take all the neutral cities for us."

"Sssounds good. What about those filthy do-gooders? There are just as many, if not more of them than there are of usss. We'll have to use the neutral zone'sss civilians to our leverage. You know how the pure oness cannot ssstand death; especially when it lashesss out at the innocent.."

He nods, thinking. "I will have to call in a few favors, but i think that can be arranged."

"It'sss something that we should at leasst arrange if we become over powered. Sssomething like a fall back plan." She coiled her tail and lied on top of it, wondering how well the dragon had thought through with the plans that he would share with the council.

He nodded and laid back, relaxing. "It will all be taken care of, do not worry."

"Ssso when are we getting thiss show on the road?" she asked, impatiently rolling over onto her back and looking up at the ceiling. "I feel like I've lost the ssense of those damn lightlings."

Rising with great purpose, he grabs her and takes off in the direction of the great mountain.
