Title: [x]Trapt[x]
Post by: iKero-chu™ on April 12, 2008, 07:57:30 PM
Note: I wrote this poem a while backish, not too long ago.
Like a month or so ago.
I really like it because its essence is really deep; I wrote it spontaneously, not even stopping to think about the words.
Hope you Enjoy :P

The speakers are pumping and although the lyrics are all around different, I still can hear your name screaming from the bass.

The lyrics inject straight into my bloodstream and conscious; the words so potent and familiar that its all too real.

As the reliazation sinks in the wave of those memories drown me.
My heart begins to relapse violently as it slowly goes under the wave concentrated purely of pain and salty heart-ache.

No matter how hard I try to forget these memories, erase them, and even numb them, its fruitless.
The song doesnt lie and the music blasts even louder, getting pulled back into the melodic singing as the flash-backs hit full force this time.

"You used to captivate me
By your resonating light
Now I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts
My once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away
All the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase."

The questions keeps running through my head:
Why cant you get over him?
Why cant you forget him?
How can you still love him?

The break down begins; The tears stream down and my emotions overflood with the memories.

How can I ever move on when all I see is you?
All I hear is your words, your voice.
All I can ever see if your face and eyes and smile.
When can I ever muster enough strength to overcome my feelings for you when you run rampage through my mind unconsciously.

I'm stuck in this; I'm Trapt.

That was rather well written. It conveys the emotion in an intresting style. Short, somewhat simple, but undeniably effective.
