I'm not sure how well this is going to go, but I'm struggling to keep some of my friends connected to the furry forums. So, I'm starting this.
(P.M me if you'd like to join.)
Setting: Ruins in the middle of the forest called Axle. It's been a few centuries since anything remotely living has passed behind the Gait of Tears to the awaiting palace. When the forest was younger, there were three palaces; each representing the three sides of the country. Each palace was designed differently than the one before it. Three different palaces, three families; interconnected with years of friendship. The Palace of Hope was the first to be abandoned, Palace Fright, then Palace Vampiria. None of the families had been seen since the Blood Feud a hundred and fifty years before.
Time Period: Somewhere around the 15th century.
Appropriate wepons: crossbow, longbow, short sword, hand dagger, knife, any type of medievil weaponry is acceptable.
Character Profiles: Details would be appreciated but don't go overboard. and post it in the Companion Thread. Description of clothing, fursona appearance, and general information is appreciated. DO NOT POST THEIR PAST, PERSONALITY, NAME, AGE, OR SEX!!! If you're a good enough roleplayer, others can figure it out. Besides, that just clogs up the RP. Save that junk for later. And PLEASE be gradual with it.
Thank you,
Broken~Hearted

It was cold and damp in the corridors of hope. Webs strewn across pillars and statues like a overly elaborate party decoration. He walked through its halls, a clacking echoing with each of his steps. A torch in his left hand caused light to dance with darkness, swaying to some sonata of the now and forgotten.
He shifted quickly when he heard a noice seep up through the silence behind him, it was just a mouse. He was on edge there was no telling what made the palace home since the old days. He was of that bloodline and despite its run down form, he wanted very much to see it's almost fabled halls.
-
A lone creature scuttled through the Gait of Tears and stopped in front of Palace Fright. Its deep red eyes glowed with sorrow. After looking about for anything wrong, it scuttled into the palace with a final twitch of its dark tail...
The mouse turned back to watch the tall creature move on. It hadn't seen anyone here at Hope all its life. It was scared that the creature'd come to harm it. It shivered, sliding into the wall through a crack and scampered off to its den.
-
Crimson Fury got of his black steed at he now stood around what remained of the Palace of Vampiria. Recently he had received a letter declaring that he was part of an odd line of nobles dating back far before his time, and how he was all that remained of that line, and such the one to inherit this land. True the palace did not seem very grand for it was fairly worn by the years, but with a good group of archietects he could have fixed for living conditions in about a few months time or so.
-
The creature stopped short; whimpering quietly. Blinking, it moved on. "What a coward you are!" It scolded itself, shaking its head in amusement. As it rounded the corner, a huge shadow leaped out of the deeper black surrounding it and lunged to attack it. The animal yelped, leaping clear by a hairsbredth. It snarled, lips pulled back to showcase its gleaming white fangs.
When the mouse was safely concealed in its den, it fed its children; quieting them for a few seconds to listen for the big devils approach. The walls were falling apart but the mouse knew her babes were safe.
-
He continued through its halls. In the past they must of been of great magnificance he thought to himself. The anchient, worn text upon the walls indicated he was going in the right direction to reach the throne room. He had spent many years researching old tomes and scrolls he had inherited to learn the language of his people. It both warmed and harrowed his heart to see the words. Each glyph reached out to him like a specter trying to tear at the imagination. He moved onward, slowly and careful so to not trigger any collapses.
-
The mouse heard another noise and her ears twitched. "Stay.." She murmured, scampering off along the wall section, following the lizard from earlier. Her claws made little tick tick noises.
-
Crimson Fury then tied his steed with some rope to a large and massive weeping willow tree, and then walked up to the large wooden doors. Right before he was about to push them open the doors slowly creaked apart creating a rather chilling sound as they did. Thinking it as just a breeze and nothing more Crimson Fury entered the dreary palace. As he walked inside he so he had entered a large empty, cobweb covered hallway, whose walls had large portraits of the palace's former owners. Crimson Fury mad but a glance at the portraits and received an eerie feeling back from them, as if they were watching him as he walked through the hall.
-
Noting what it was looking for was not in Palace Fright, the creature slinked the five miles to Palace Vampiria. It stopped beside the steed of a royal and bowed to it. "Mornin." It rasped, walking carefully into the Gait and sniffed; catching the scent of another fur around. It smiled, trotting along behind the shadows, always watching.
-
Crimson Fury froze in his tracks it felt like something was in the room with him, but he could not see it. Placing a hand on one of his katanas to prepare himself for an attack. "If anyone is in here respond now or I shall strike you down!" Crimson Fury then thought he was being foolish for no matter how hard he looked he could not see anyone.
-
It giggled and leaped at him, knocking into his legs. "Hi!" It barked.
-
Crimson Fury looked down at the small create that had bumped into his leg. "A talking mouse that is something one does not see every day, don't you know it is rude to spook a guest?"
-
The creature hissed at him. "I am no mouse. Open your eyes and see me. I am a bear cub and I demand you treat me with respect, underling." It snarled, slashing at his leg.
Surprised by the sound of its own claws as it stepped on a peice of glass, the mouse leaped up in fright, squeaking. Losing its balance on the narrow beam when it came down, the mouse fell over the side; impaling itself on a mirror shard. Its babes slowly died of startvation. One by one... Until only one remained.. This squeaker fought its hardest but eventually Death reared its ugly head...
-
she rounded round the corner to see two furs arguing, wel that ws what it looked like she kept her distance and waited carmly.
-
Sneaking along the ruins of Hope Palace, a band of two Kaetif theives and a human archer watched the reptile. They were close to looting thw place when they'd noticed him. One keatif, a white fox, hissed in frustration. "Let me take care of him, please."
-
Dust sprinkled down from the ceiling, trying to distract him from his goal but he kept onward unwavering. He stopped when he reached a large door with very elaborate etchings. "Thiss must be the throne room" he said aloud excitedly. Before trying to open it he examined the state of the structure around it. This place with built by what could only be described in otherworldly architects. Even after all these years the framework, then structure and even the little carvings where almost perfectly intact. He carefully touched the door with his right claw. The door around it collapsed and dozens of little bugs scurried about. He jumped back but laughed in spite of it all. Hundreds of years of dry rotting had made the door as sturdy and a sand castle.
 He ducked through the opening and walked a few feet before stopping to survey the room. He couldn't help but notice his jaw was a bit open, the throne room at last. All his hard work had paid off. Stone pillars to each side well over a hundred feet tall, Jewels strewn across everything in elaboragte designs. "Thiss must of been something in its day" His eyes caught a sparkle upon the throne, which sat upon a few stairs. He walked up to it and up the stairs with such grace his body language was paying homeage to those lost. When he got to the throne he saw crystal ball.
He examined the ball a minbute before touching it, magic eminated from it. When he went to touch it a flash of light blinded him for a second. When he opened them again he jumped back. There on the throne sat a ancestor, the king. He looked around, the entire place looked brand new, and gleamed from the white marble and shiney stones. People were all about carrying on with gossip. He closed his eyes and reopened them and the place returned to normal. "What jusst happened?" he asked himself unsure what to think.
-
"No, Red we must wait." The human replied, grasping his shoulder. "Why?" Red asked, shrugging her hand off. "Because we are a team and we will continue to be."
-
2looks around the room ina distant haze and wonders what was going on
-
((um I'm confused was the mouse talking to me or is a different creature?))
-
(different creature. sorry.)
-
Sen approached the decrepit castle entrance, his wings nearly invisible with the contrast of white on white. His katana was sheathed between them, the handle over his right shoulder. Listening closely through the wind blowing through his fur, he heard soft noises coming from within the castle walls. A castle being this old, he doubted that anybody would still live there, and thus the front gate was closed. Slowly, he began to walk around the castle, looking for sturdy handholds and stepping spots along the wall for him to climb up. "Hmm... seems like this will be an interesting place... I thought I sensed an artifact here..." He said softly, his voice carried off by the wind.
-
"Sorry for my mistake, just use to seeing bears at a much large size I suppose, still what is a bear doing in a palace anyways?"
-
looks over at knght and smmiles"do you know what were doing"she asked
-
"Well it's not my fault I'm a stupid cub." It grumbled, annoyed.
-
hay im a cub too, and im wondering what to do, well ok maybe alittle older than a cub but im still lost too"she smiled again
-
Crimson Fury was a little bit puzzled as he looked down at the two bear cubs before, mainly the fact the two did not seem related given their very different responses to him. "What are two bear cups doing so far from their mother let alone the forest in general?" he asked the two, thinking it quite odd the two were inside a palace of all things.
-
This made him snort loudly. "No care for life at all....Mother's gone and father's not going to take care of all of us. I left to fend for myself." He looked up at Knight innocently, pleadingly. "Will you take care of me?"
XX XX XX XX XX
The other keatif, a dark colored panther, sighed and shook her head. "Red, Alyssa, we need to figure out how long we have until that annoying Scalie leaves. You two stay here, I'm going to see what I can glean from his actions." She paused to glance back at them, "And don't cause a scene." She ordered, walking down the hill with little indication as to what she was prepared to do.
-
Crimson Fury was a little taken back by the cub's question for at the moment he was in no position to take care of an animal nor did he know the first thing about raising a cub, but the expression the cub gave him was hard to just say no to. "Well seeing as I just go to this palace, and I'm not sure if this place would be good to raise a cub in i am not sure I am the best person to take care of you, but I will do all in my power to help you."
-
He beamed up at the fur. "What's your name?"
-
He took a cloth from his pack and wrapped it around the mystical globe, not wanting to trigger another event and carefully sat it back in his pack. He sat at the bottom of the steps pulling out his map and a quill n ink. The quill scribbled and jotted, scratching almong the old parchment adding lines and lizardine text. "There!" he said contently. "Now if I get lost I can find my way back. Now to find the library, itss contents could allow me to find the anchient nexus that lies between these old cities."
As he got up and made his way torward the door he caught a scent amidst the dusty air.
-
The panther pulled her lips back in a snarl and crept closer.
-
(( I'm going to try third person roleplaying ( i.e. He, instead of I ) ))
"Hmm...." Atticus stared at the blood red crystal in his hand..
"I wonder what powers it holds.." He asked himself.
-
"My name is Lord Crimson Fury at your service" he said bowing politely as was his custom to do when introducing himself to others no matter whom they may be, unless a foe of course.
-
"Hello Lord and Master Crimson Fury." The bear sighed, bowing til his nose was touching the ground. "I am your servant." He straightened up, remembering his manners. "Syrial at your command."
-
After circling the castle numerous times, Sen finally found a proper foothold and grabbed hold of a sturdy stone, hoisting himself up, slowly, he reached the top of the castle in short order. Now, he only needed to find a way in. Since he was amid ruins, it wouldn't be that hard to make an entrance if need be...
-
"Well Syrial by chance is there anything you can tell me about this palace, for I had received a letter recently stating I am the heir to it."
-
over hears the conversation that was going on but stays stuck into the dakrness of the doorway
-
"Castle Vampiria? You?" The cub snorted. "I know a story about Vampiria, but I doubt it'd be any help to you." It stated.
-
"Trust me any information at this point can be very helpful, for all i know is apparently I am the last of the blood lineage of those who ruled this castle. So please if you do not mind tell me the story."
-
ish still listening but getting cramp
-
"Very well. You might want to sit down for this." It paused, getting comfortable.
-
Crimson Fury found an old, wooden dust covered chair and pulled it up to him as he sat down on it, then motioned to the bear cub he was ready to hear his story.
-
she sat downtoo but in darknes
-
"There have always been three castles; Vampiria, Fright, and Hope. All three have been around since this land was created. In Vampiria, there were four rulers: Syrial, Mala, Nekko, and Alrept. Three of which died with no children. Syrial had three daughters who were married off to the other two Castles. His pride was his third daughter, the heir of Vampiria. Alyss was the sweetest, youngest and quietest of the trio. Her husband was the Prince of Fright Castle. They fell in love shortly before the wedding and were happy to be so lucky. She had three beautiful baby boys. Her oldest sister, Joy, was sour, vain, and nasty. She constantly complained and was never happy with her husband, Joseph. They had a daughter and a son. Syras and Kali were inseperable. When Kali died, Syras vowed revenge against her older sister and protection to her youngest. They never seemed to get along much..." Syrial took a deep breath, adjusting himself.
"Castle Vampiria has been a safe haven for any who so seek protection from the ever-present wrath of Syras. She left her castle to consume all the lands and castles around her. In the war between Hope and Fright, Hope was the first to fall, named after its' creator: Hope Reas. Vampiria the last. Or so the legend goes. There were supposedly three heirs who would step foward when all hope had been lost but many of us stopped believing the story and it became burried. After a few centuries, not more than a handful knew the real location to the castles..." He sighed, his mother had been strict with him keeping every detail but he decided Crimson should figure some things out on his own. "Thus the Castle Vampiria stands before you now, a heap of debris and cobwebs. Nothing but grahnem."
-
Shadows danced behind the pillars, like children playfully hiding from the torches' light. He sat there on the last step pouring over pages of old script looking for directions. A bug skuttled across his killer claw but he paid it no attention, he was so close he could just see it in his mind. Suddenly he stood up and yelled "I got it!" while shaking his fist in excitement. He hurridly stuffed the paper in his pack and raced off out of the door and down the hall, weaving in and out of passages with a almost otherworldly grace.
At last he came to the library, the door had long since collapsed inward due to age. He walked inside, clearing a cobweb as he went. Many rows of shelves stood before him and thousands of books, most had succumbed to age and were no longer legible. Thankfully for him the one he was looking for would be encased and would survive time. He wandered the isles, dreaming of what reaches of fact and fiction would littler the room's many pages. "If only I could live forever and delve into every one of these books" he said softly to himself, playfully pulling a book from the shelf which promtly fell apart to the floor. He came to a door in the back with a label that in the lizard tongue would say "For Royalty only" and he knew he had found it.
Once again the door collapsed as he touched it, a few rats scurrying out past him as he made his way inside. "Not very kingly" he thought to himself noticing the rather lackluster room. At the far end of a long table was a case, which he smashed open revealing a magical tome. He looked curiously upon it, it looked new and without tear. It glowed faintly but felt of warmth. He had found his prize and quickly snatched it up
-
Her fingers clenched, drawing blood as she hissed unpleasantly. "*&^% you reptile, *&^% you." She muttered, sneaking down the hill to investigate what treasures the castle ruins held for her pack.
-
Nyx sat in the library, a dragonscript book in hand, reading. She had heard some shuffling; and it broke her from her thoughts. Looking around, she saw a raptor pass, on his way for something perhaps. She had only plucked that he was seeking something from his body language and thoughts. He was anxiuous to get whatever it was. Curious, she sat the book down and followed silently. She watched as he smashed a case, and took something from it.. A tome maybe...? She wasn't sure, she was unable to get a good glance at it. As she took another step, the chains on her cuffs clanked on the floor.
-
she raced around the castle, keepin pace behind broken, but also keepig to the shadows"nwearlly there "she whispered
-
A figure stands on a balcony on the upper floor of the Great Library, the stone almost crumbling under even his light frame. His eyes are affixed to the raptor as a hand reaches into his robe. Surely he would like nothing more than to look through the knowledge of the ages until he keeled over and died. That would make his job easier, at least. He extended and retracted the claws of his left paw as he clutches a dagger in his right. His aim would have to be perfect, but he trained for perfection. His good eye narrowed to a slit and he held his breath.
The dagger whipped through the air, shattering one of the rotting bookshelves into so much rotting tinder. His distraction set, he jumps from the balcony, hitting the floor and rolling under a table not thirty feet from the raptor. Not bad, considering the short time he had been given to prepare. He would have liked to scout the area beforehand, get a feel for the entrances and exits, but he was not one to argue. Truly, in his profession, work was it's own reward, and danger just made work more rewarding. Slowly, with a stealth only his kind was capable of, he drew closer under the cover of the rotting tables, careful not to touch them and send them falling onto himself.
He made note of the glowing book as he drew nearer, always in the shadows or behind something, his motions slow and meticulous. The stone floor was cold under his pads, even through the cloth he had wrapped them in. He reached into his robes once more, not drawing a dagger but his short-sword, the edge honed to an almost frightening sharpness. And in his hands? There were few more frightening things than he in this castle.
-
wonders over to something that was glowing she could tell it was a book but was still interested.she hadnt seen anyoe and was wondering if she was thenonly living being here then reached out for ti whilst looking around
-
Crimson Fury sat there rubbing his chin in thought after he finished listening to the cub's story. "So far all I have really gathered from your story, and correct me if I am wrong since it sounded a little patchy was that Castle Fright was the one who started this whole battle between the other two castles, and Hope fell then castle Vampiria. Also there is according to the legend there is an heir that is to return to each castle. Even if this is all true, which some of it I may question, and if I am the heir of Vampiria I still do not get why they would want me to return to this ruined old place. What is suspected of the heirs to do when they return?"
-
She felt another presence, it was shifty and moved quickly as if it were hiding from something. Her dark coloring kept her hidden in the shadows, so she supposed that she had not been seen yet, though she knew she had been heard. Damn chains, she thought to herself. With her wings pressed to her back, she bent down to inspect beneath the tables. Whatever it was, it had been there; a residue of its aurora still evident... She shifted her glance around the room looking for the creature; she could not read its emotions as openly as the raptor's and it worried her. Nyx caught a slight glimmer as a pale moon beam refracted off of a blade being drawn; it was not until then she realized what the thing was bent on doing. It eyed the raptor and the tome it held within its claws. Stealthily, she snuck up on the figure, grabbing the blade with her tail and knocking him to the ground... Her claws were firmly planted on its shoulders as she looked down into its face; a feline face, and telepathically asked, And just what were you planning to do with this?
-
"I'd think the first would be to return the castles to their original states and figure out what happened exactly to cause the downfall of all three. If Fright was the starter, why did it fall as well?" He looked around and snorted as a bee flew past his nose. "In broad daylight, I'm slinking around stupid castle ruins. What's wrong with me?" He berated himself, annoyed.
As the panther was browsing, she felt someone watching her. She ingored the feeling, glancing around from time to time to asses what other riches were still around. "It amazes me sometimes how dumb looters can be." She grumbled, flashing her fangs in a twisted smile.
(Who'd you grab, Attica?)
-
((That'd be me))
He was silent, but his mind was filled with curses in at least three tongues. He was supposed to be the one sneaking, and here he was with anothers claws uncomfortably close. He was tempted, ever so tempted to jam his blade into the interloper and tear the raptor to ribbons with his bare claws, but whoever was pinning him would obviously be two steps ahead of him, given their obvious psychic abilities. What business is it of yours? Leave me to my task. How did he not hear her? He knew, of course, how he got when he was focused on his target, and how he tended to overlook such obvious signs, but chains dragging on the floor? He would not be particularly astounded if the raptor used whatever enchantment that book held to kill the both of them on the spot. Gods knew how he would react to the dagger, which had flown quite close to his head.
-
He stopped, hearing chains rattle in the room. Quickly he suffed the anchient tome into his pack and sniffed the air. Two scentslinger upon the old, dusty air of the old library. He doused the flame and krpt through the library, table by table till he saw a chain rustling on the floor. He looked curiously upon it, swerving like a snake telling of the tale of conflict. He growled and tossed up the table baring his teeth at the two invaders. One lie under the other holding dagger and the other shackled in chains. "Assassin!" he yelled as pulled the chained one off him and tosses her aside.
He grabbed the assassin, grabbing the dagger and tossing it aside before grabbing him around the neck and hoisting him into the air. "What businesss do you have with me? Who ssent you? Know that I'll die before I give up the tome of this castle." he said angrily. What had been a peaceful exploration seemed to have turned more deadly. While he was a skilled melee combatant he didn't like to fight unless he had to, but clearly the assassin had plans otherwise.
-
He laughs, his hood falling and exposing his face. "She speaks your tongue," he says, his accent as clear as his amusement. "If you know me for what I am, you should know any worthy assassin never asks why. All I know is that you have been marked for death, and that killing me will do nothing to save you." He smiles, baring his teeth to show one fang broken in half, his left eye gleaming like glass despite being just as much a part of him as his tail. "You should also know I could have killed you easily with the dagger that destroyed that bookshelf behind you, but what fun is that, eh?" He laughed outright, a sound that showed his true nature, before taking a dagger in each hand and throwing them for the raptors feet with all his might.
-
He winces a bit as the daggers hit his feet and tightens his grip on the assassin's neck. He smiles a bit despite the blood leaking from his taloned feet. "What kind of fool leaves a raptor alive when he meanss to kill him. I may be marked so I guess I'll just have to kill you and wait for the next would be killer to try their hand" He was determined to make his discovery, he worked hard for a long time to get this far and nobody was gonna stand in his way.
He angrily jabbed the assassin in the chest with his sharp claws, like lightning he repeatedly slashed the assassin before slamming him to the ground. Quickly he reached down and pulled the draggers from his feet, giving off a roar. He then went after him with his very own daggers.
-
Coming upon them, the panther snarled and threw herself at the raptor. "What the %#@@ is your problem?" She snarled, dusting herself off. Her black tail whipped back and forth.
-
He rises his hand to strike just as he gets hits from behind by a large animal, causing him to loose balance and crash into a old table. Dust flew up into the air and bugs scuttled from the wreckage. The room itself played protest giving off creaks and groans. He shook his head. "Accomplice?" he growled struggling to remove the powerful cat
-
He takes this opportunity to slink back into the shadows, losing himself in the winding corridors. 'If i'd ever needed a Deus Ex Machina...' he thought, almost humorously. In all truth, this interloper could not have arrived at a better time, and he already liked her much more than the first. Oh, he would end them both next time, even if he did have to put a dagger into their necks from the shadows. This wasn't about fun anymore. This was revenge.
But first, he had wounds to nurse.
-
She looked cross as she sat atop his chest, unmoving. "I work for no one. And you should be more perceptive if you're an assassin." She replied, cleaning a paw daintily. "Who was that other fur I saw? And how many more of you are there? I've got a family to feed."
-
Tezztor growled. "You should be more aware of your prey before you say such thingss" he said as he raked his killer claws across her belly. He rocked her back and forth and using the momentum slung her off and rolled backward onto his feet. "Maybe you sshould find better prey to feed your family." He stood ready for another attack, unsure as to why he is being targeted by so many. The wounds on his feet were causing him some pain, he really needed to adress them but he couldn't while staring down the maw of a panther.
-
Nyx thwapped the panther with her tail, then snatched the raptor up with her claws before spreading her wings and flying up to an empty balcony. She sat him down and looked to him, Why are you such a target? she asked him telepathically. I'm not sure if they'll come after you or not..
-
He looked at her then back down at the panther. "Maybe the tome drawss them here, maybe other reasons I don't know. This was a private journey in the name of peace, I don't know what their interestss are." he said while rubbing his wounds. He looked back at the creature that rescued him, noticing the chains. "Who are you? Why are you bound?"
-
She fell onto the floor and stood, laughing at the raptor. "You're not food, idiot. The loot here will feed them. Not you. Besides, I'm not a cannibal. I don't eat intelligent beings, I only eat what can't talk."
-
He comes to a small bedroom some unknown number of dark corridors and passageways later. Yet another fortunate turn, for he felt himself slipping into unconsciousness. That infernal raptor! He had not bothered looking at his wounds, knowing they were deep lacerations and he could do nothing more than cover them for now. Of course the worst casualty was his pride. It had been years since he had failed so miserably! A single target in an abandoned castle had turned into one surprise after another. He collapses onto the bed in the center of the room as everything fades to black.
-
She clutched her stomach and slinked away, resolving to find the fur from earlier she hadn't had a chance to talk to because she was too busy saving his sorry butt. "Now where'd he go?" She sniffed the air and followed the fading trail to a dark room. It resembled some kind of sleeping chamber for a prince or princess annd she noticed he was sleeping on the bed in the middle. "He looks peaceful...Why'd that cranky old scalie attack him?" She asked herself, laying beside him as her eyes closed.
-
What's in a name? All you need to know is that I am a friend. She looked to his wounds. I don't know if I can fix these. I specialize in dark magic, and that only destroys. I'm not bound either. She picked up the chains showing the broken links. I sometimes get caught by humans and they try to restrain me with these.
-
He pulled a blade from his pack, very tribal looking and turned it torward the one that saved him. "Trusst me" he said as he focused his mind on the chains attached to her. The blade began to glow white. Quickly he cut the shackles attached to the chains. He smiled and put put the blade away. "There that sshould be better then dragging em everywhere you go, my name iss Tezztor and though you won't tell me yours I appreciate the help."
He grabbed some medical supplies from his pack and began to clean and stitch up his woulds, cringing as he did so. "I thought thiss place would be empty, I was foolish and need to be smarter next time"
-
Nyx rolled her wrists as if the cuffs being removed felt like something new. People apparently don't know the rules of engagement. She watched curiously as he mended his wounds. To be fair, I didn't expect anyone here either. It's why I was reading dragonscript here. I thought I'd be alone.
-
She kicked her leg in her sleep, unintentionally snuggling closer to the cyote. (my apologies if I'm mixed up.)
-
He finished up, bandaging his woulds and stood up stretching out his feet. He limped a bit as he made his way to the door. "With so many looking for me it would be wise to get thiss book out of here. No telling what kind of magic it has." Dust fell from the ceiling as he pushed up the door and made his way down the stairs back to the main level, noticing tracks leading out the main library door. The torch he dropping stil lies there where he dropped it, he grabbed it and re lit the torch. He looked behind him to see if the other had come with him.
He made his way out of the library door and down the hall, sniffing the air for traces of the two attackers. Their scent was thick in the air as he made his way past the residential areas. "Perhapss it would be wise to go in and put a end to them now before they trouble uss later" he said quietly, having no doubt he hadn't seen the last of them.
-
She snorted, mumbling into Dave's chest.
Meanwhile, Syrial watched his new master with intrigue. He'd been confused why his mother sent him so close to the three castles when no one'd been allowed near them before. As he pondered it, he began to develop a headache.
-
He feels the other brushing against him and pulls himself reluctantly back to consciousness. 'Fool! Of course you left tracks! Get out of here!' He stumbles out of the door, holding his lacerated stomach although the bleeding had more or less stopped. His other hand reached for his short-sword, finding nothing. He curses quietly, trying to find his way through this haze of semi-consciousness to retrieve the weapon he had lost in the library. He was careful not to go back the way he had come, in the very likely event he was being followed. Soon he found himself at a section of hallway where the floor had fallen out, into a pit of unknown depth. It was not very far across however, and he managed to jump across without too much trouble. By now the halls were pitch black, though he had been blessed with a felines night vision.
-
Rolling over, she shivered at the breeze blowing across her back and curled into a ball, slipping into a deep sleep.
-
Nyx followed the Raptor, unsure of whether or not to tag along. She mainly did so now to make sure that he wasn't attacked in his current condition.
-
He smirked as he heard something bolt off from one of the rooms. Having no doubt that it was the assassin who tried to kill him. "He will have a hard time doing it without thiss" he remarked as he spun the short sword around his claw. A cool wind blew down the hallway over him, almost beckoning. "We musst be near the entrance"
-
The assassin shrugs as he leans back against the cold stone wall, his vision blurring again. That cursed raptor! Probably gave him some sort of disease. To try and keep himself occupied, he took a quick count of his daggers, finding he had seven left of his original ten. Other than those and his sword, he had not bothered bringing any weapons. Killing an intellectual was never this hard! What made this one so different? He pressed on, coming to a balcony overlooking some sort of courtyard. "Just great..." he said aloud, as he often did when stressed.
-
After several hours of sleep, she awakens to grab her stomach in pain. "%^&* you." She cursed, laying straight and biting her lip to keep from yelling.
-
"Well one might be easier than the other, true this castle is not in total ruins, but it will still take some time in order for it to be rebuilt properly, but in the mean time I would not be surprised if not in this castle, but at least in one of the others, some sort of journal or the like of what happened here. We find that then the sooner, we can figure out what happened here. Though from what you have told me I can drawl up an educated guess of what happened. It would seem at least one castle had it out for one of the others, and in the process they brought forth each others demise. Now then there is still one question that plagues my mind before I decided to take any action. What relevance does any of this really have to me? For true I might one of these heirs you speak of, but I do not see the point of waisting one's energy and gold to rebuild an old castle and find out what happened to some distant relatives of mine." Crimson Fury was getting irratated by the whole idea, for he was a man that required reason, and a bloody good one at that before he did anything.
-
While the panther writhed in pain, Syrial smiled at Crimson Fury. "Your reason is this, because the heirs will build a better kingdom with a trio of servants shared secretly. The only thing I remember well enough is that they are from three races long since declared enemies. So for now, that's all I have. And my namesake's knowledge."
-
"Really is that all?" Crimson Fury asked an apparently annoyed tone in his voice. "Ha! Well they certainly have asked the wrong person to do such a task like that for to be honest with you I have no interest in rebuilding some ancient relatives' kingdom! I am rather happy with my current position as fate deemed me worthy of having. For I am not one of joy and peace, the thought of one ever thinking of me doing so is the most loathsome deed I know. For I am Crimson Fury the knight of war and destruction, the only joy I know is out in the battlefield cutting of my foe's head, with my mighty sword nothing more. Sorry to disappoint, but this whole thing is a rather big mistake, or this legend you have been holding so dear to your heart is nothing more but a mere lie!"
-
He bowed his head, disappointed. "You aren't who they thought you were. You cannot see what lies ahead like others can. Spend a month here in Nome and then decide if you can embrace the task. I beg of you, Master."
-
"Consider your request granted for the time, lucky for you the only reason I came out here was because I had no other pressing matters at the time. Though if I am to stay here I would require a suitable place to stay, with food and water as well. Do this for me, and I shall stay here for a month."
-
While his first attempt had failed miserably, he had more to deal with than the raptor. He jumps from the balcony into the courtyard, moving through an archway and into the woods surrounding the castle. For the most part he has stopped bleeding, though his head is still reeling. He is sure he was sick from something, either an infection or the filth the raptor no doubt wallowed in, though he presses on regardless. Eventually, he comes to another castle, this ones door standing only slightly ajar. He approaches cautiously, the faint wind masking whatever noise he made.
-
"I will see what I can find. I can assure you that I will protect you with my life, Sire."
The panther drew herself up off the bed and lurched to the door, still groaning in misery. She had half a mind to follow that coyote from earlier and figure out how he/she got there so fast.
-
((Is a cat, actually))
-
(coyote, cat, whichever. Sorry Dave.)
She decided against it, more concerned with returning to her temporary pack. "He's gone, for now. You guys go ahead, I'm going to stay back and rest. I'll catch up later." When the human reached for her, she drew her lips back, snarling softly. "Go on."
-
"Hes gone" He thought as he turned to walked down the corridor. "Musst stay focused. With the tome many secrets can be revealed. I've worked to hard and long to abandon my quest to petty pride." The thought of finishing it gave him a smile as he limped down the Hall. A few turns later and he was outside, he took in a breath of fresh air. Night had fallen upon the forest and the air was alive with the symphony of crickets and other beasts. He put out his torch. "Back to camp" he said to the other. "There is excess food, your welcome to have ssome"
-
Nyx followed along, looking up to the night sky. She felt at ease, though she was sure that it wouldn't be long before the peace was broken with that tome along with them. She came up beside Tezztor, It depends, are you alone? She really wasn't fond of company.. She was surprised that she stuck with this reptile, being the anti-social dragon she was.
-
Tezztor looks at Attica as they walked into the woods and nodded to her question. "Jusst me out here. I can attract less attention by myself then with otherss." He thought about the current situation with the panther and the assassin. "Perhapss I was wrong." he shrugged as they finally came to his camp. It was a pretty ragged camp, a tent and the remains of a campfire. He grabbed some sticks and started a fire, assembling a spit above it. "Your welcome to the tent if you like, the stars are out tonight I don't mind."
-
When they returned, she was gone. She's gone down to the Castle to take another look at the layout. "I'll find me that assassin if it kills me..." She promised, grunting in pain as her stomach started to bleed again.
-
The assassin creeps into the castle, following the sound of distant voices. As he drew near enough to pick up on the conversation, he found this job promised to be impossible to fail. He slinks almost behind the larger of the two figures, ignoring the cub an moving behin his target. "Staying here may cost you dearly, oh knight of war an destruction. However, if you renounce your throne an leave this place forever, you will do us both a favor, for you see I am not in the mood for bloodshed. A simple, reasonable request, no?"
-
Nyx found a spot in the grass and lied down a short distance from the fire. She truly enjoyed the dark, the coolness of the shadows. She rolled over onto her back and looked at the stars. I think I can survive without the tent. I've gotten this far without one. I live wherever I can. The moon peaked through gaps in the canopy of the forest, shedding splotches of light on the forest floor like search lights. So... What is that tome for? And why does everyone want you dead for it? She looked over to him, only her glowing silver eyes visible in the darkness of the forest.
-
The cub, Syrial, growled and leaped at the assassin, claw extended. "Master! Look out!"
-
Tezztor sat his feet by the fire. The warmth felt good against the wounds. "The tome is a anchient artifact of the casstle hope, the castle of my distant relatives. Besides various wordss of power, it holds the location of the nexus. Not much iss known about the nexus other then it was a seat of diplomacy and supposedly great and secret power. That iss perhaps what they want." He explained trying to best explain her question. In truth he did not know all the power the tome held, or why it was so forbidden by his people to use it.
The fire crackled and snapped, its hot flames tearing at the meat, turning it a golden brown. He moved in closer to get a sniff and a look of contentment came over his face. "It smellss good!"
-
Interesting, though it doesn't surprise me how these creatures would grub for power. She looked back up to the sky, the stars winking rebelliously against the velvet black sky. Most dragons fall because of that exact reason either by corruption or by humans who envy our treasures. Her acute senses picked up the delicious smell of the meat reminding her she had a stomach; Mind tossing a piece my way? It doesn't have to be cooked.. I can do that myself.
-
jumps of the roof and does some twirls in the air njoying thw wat the wind rumple her featheres
-
Tezztor eyed her dragon form noticing she had more then a slight resemblance to the dragon half of his bloodline. He touched the horns on his head, unusual for a raptor but given to him by dragon genes. "Not many dragonss around these days" he said not letting on that he thought her to be quite attractive. He tossed her a bit of meat that was cooking, topped with spices from his homeland. "I hope its satisfactory"
-
Nyx caught the meat in her jaws and swallowed it greedily; though she was not one for gluttony, she had not eaten in a few days. There aren't many of us around, I agree. Many that I knew were slaughtered as they slumbered by idiot humans who called themselves dragon slayers. Often they would kill the young hatchlings and wear them as armour as if it were a big feat to murder an inexperienced child. I read it in the dragonscripts that were in the library and still intact. She finally got the courage to go to the fire. As she approached, her silver eyes were accompanied by a face, then a body. The dragon found a spot and lied down as if a cat would, her head erect, her hands placed on atop the other, and her tail curling around her body. I appreciate the company. It has been so long since I have spoken to anything remotely like my kind.
-
Tezztor nodded placing his pack on the ground beneath his head, tome inside. He looked up at the stars, wondering if she was upon them looking back down at him. He then looked over at the dragon. "I may be more like your kind then your realize if my theories are correct" he said and shrugged it off.
-
How so? She questioned, curiously tilting her head to the side as if encouraging him to explain. Family history? She shifted her wings uncomfortably as the grass behind her rustled. Sensing it was a small animal, she relaxed a little. Being alone for so long had made her defensive over the years...
-
lands softly down beside broken wondering what the hell was wrong
-
Tezztor shifted to lay on his side. "Dragons and my tribe are almost one in the same. Well the minature dragons anywayss which bear a almost exact resemblance to you. We had a close knit bond with them, each contributing for the greater of the whole. They guarded the sskies and we took care of the ground. But it ran much deeper then that. Often dragon and raptor royalty would breed sso that we both might share in the benefits of our unique traits. My father was the guildmasster of the assassin's guild. He took a dragon female as a mate. Thanks to that I have the magical resistance of a dragon in addition to my immunity to mind tampering." he paused for a moment for no apparent reason.
"When I was still a hatchling we entered a terrible war with demons, most of my people and those of dragonkin were killed. A few raptors made it out but we don't know what happened to the dragon surviverss. It is rumored both my mother and father survived but I only found him. I guess you remind me of her is all. Same fighter spirit. During my travels in search of her I found hints of this place and its ancestry of my people. So here I am." He trailed off, almost sad.
-
I see. I've never really stayed attatched to my family, I fled the den when I was younger without the Dragon King's knowledge. I was curious, and that's what got my into trouble, I had to raise myself. And I appreciate the compliment; but if your mother is the dragon that you describe, then I doubt that I could measure up. She placed her tail on Tezztor's shoulder reassuringly. Just because you haven't found your mother doesn't mean that she's not out there.
-
Tezztor rubbed one of the horns on his head. "Shes there even if I can't find her. Ssomeday." he said confidently. He looked back at the dragon. "Thanks for listening to this raptor's ssilly old tale." He felt content for the first time in a long time. He found the tome comming closer to unlocking his people's past and he found a friend in the most unlikely place. He grabbed a piece of meat and nibbled on it, not really hungry but for no reason. "Tomorrow morning I will open the book and see what secrets it holds" he thought to himself, assured his adventure had only begun
-
Deciding instead, to explore the other Castle, Fright, she left while the fox and human were looting what they could find in Hope. "Mhm... I see where you are, my little treat." She murmured, smiling to herself as squeals of fright echoed from down the hall. "You'll make a lovely snack, you will."
-
Crimson Fury seeing the cub leap at whomever was behind him, quickly ducked downward, allowing the cub to deal with the threat for the moment.
-
(Er, I'm kinda threatening your life here, knight...) *see page 7, about half way up
-
((thanks, not sure how I missed that lol. But um now you have a problem to deal with))
-
"I'm for hearing silly tales any time." she actually spoke. She lied her head down on top of her hands and watched the raptor. She would not sleep; she'd keep guard.
-
Syrial missed the assassin by an inch and, flipping halfway down, landed on his feet a foot away. He snarled a challenge, leaping again.
-
((where am i))
-
(( looks like you're racing around one of the castles ))
The assassin draws a dagger and takes aim at the cub. "It is never the simple way with you people, is it?" He catches the cub by the neck this time, driving it into the floor and putting his dagger to its neck. "Never send a cub, my friend. Now, is this cub to be a martyr to your reign in this kingdom, or do you renounce your throne? Decide quickly, for I am getting tired of asking."
-
He snarled, trying in vane to throw the cat off. "Ow..." He croaked, slowing his movements until he was deathly still.
-
He lay asleep, twitching and squirming, having a bad dream. Visions of horde of demons killing and maiming, dragons and raptors being scattered to the winds. He saw his mother fighting off demons. He tried to yell for her to help him but she did not answer. he was still a young raptor at the time.
Tezztor woke up in a instant breathing heavily. It was morning and birds could be heard gossiping in the trees above. He looked over to see the dragon still awake looking his way. Without him knowing it he blushed a bit embaressed. For a few minutes neither said a word he just sat there staring into space collecting himself. "Guess now iss as good a time as any to check out the tome." he said finally grabbed for the book from his pack.
-
"I suppose so." Again, she used her voice, something she rarely did. She sat looking at the trees and at the bird who flew from them so peacefully. She knew the peace would not last once they had been discovered with the tome in hand. You look and read about your family, it's none of my business to meddle in your affairs. As before I'll keep watch. Her wings shifted, and she stood to all fours, stretching them, then jumped from the ground and took flight.
-
There was no response from Crimson fury for he was no longer in the room, or at least as it seemed anyways for all the eye could see was nothing but an eerie darkness that engulfed the entire room. "Haha...do you think you are the first to try and kill me?" echoed Crimson's voice through the darkness. Suddenly Crimson Fury appeared from the darkness his massive sword drawn ((imagine sephiroth's sword)). "Now then either you put the cub done and face like a true fighter, or die a rather horrific death where you stand?" Something seemed different about Crimson Fury the darkness seemed to flow out from his as his eyes shinned a bright blood red, as fangs glistened in his mouth.
-
He ignored his master's words, using one foot to slide it under the blade. Cutting the pads, he pushed the blade away some and slipped under it. "Don't hurt my Master. He's a good man. You are low, a disgrace." He jeered, smiling at the assassin.
-
Tezztor watched as she flew away then said to himself, "I really didn't mind" Pages and pages of text to decipher put him in a bad mood momentarily. Most was nonsensical jibberish relating to nothing but the mundane. It was hours before he finally came to a passage that was important. He sat up clearly focused, this could be the breakthrough to find the nexus.
Today we walked along the northern trail just past the big statue in the northern gardens. It was a long trip past the ivory towers of hope and into the shadowed woods. Once there we set upon by....
The rest after was faded beyond legibility. Tezztor shook his head, clearly upset. " At leasst its a start." he thought before turning the page comming to a weird inscription. "Hmm" he thought outloud, "This iss the language of the dragons, not my ancestors." He read the passage to himself quietly. Suddenly the book began to glow blue and floated into the air. What could only be described as a dragon spirit flew from the book, looked him in the face then absorbed into him. He stood there stunned, unable to control his own thoughts. Suddenly the book fell from the air into the fire. The magic in the book burst disintigrating everything in a thirty foot radius and sending him flying through the air into a tree knocking him unconscious. The tome was destroyed.
-
she watched as she ran the cub jump up and rtry to fight him of put got caught in the others jaws she shouted a refudsal but it was lost in the wind then she stopped raised her hand and concentrated on the over looming rock that she could certainly put to use.
-
The assassin shrugs, tossing the cub into a corner rather roughly. "What is it about this place that gives people such foolish delusions of power..." Out of the corner of his eye he catches the falling stone, narrowly avoiding being crushed. "And now the architecture is taking sides. Well no matter. I tire of asking the same question. Leave or die." Though his face is mostly impassive, his hand flings the dagger that had been before on the cubs throat, his aim for the knights head. Before the knife was even half way there he had drawn two more and was ready to throw should the first fail.
-
He slumped against the wall, grunting in pain. Loud snaps could be heard as a few bones broke upon impact.
Meanwhile, the panther found nothing so moved on to fright. Hearing the snaps, she moved faster. Coming upon the scene, she laughed to herself. "Can't seem to get out of trouble, can you?" She sneered at the assassin, grinning toothily from ear to ear.
-
Nyx dove from the air towards Tezztor, she had not been in flight for very long when she had sensed a draconic spirit.. When she looked down, she had seen the tome explode, throwing the raptor back. She landed carelessly, almost wiping out; unusual for a dragon's grace. She was more concentrated on seeing if Tezztor was alright rather than staying graceful and almost majestic. She rushed over to his side, eyeing him with care. What happened? Why did the tome destroy itself?
-
Tezztor woke, but instead of his neon green eyes, his eyes shone with a eerie glow a bright blue. He stood up as if nothing had happened, then looked at the dragoness and spoke. "I am Kiolosk, a dragon spirit and I have claimed this vessel for my own." Without another word he began to make his way north torwards the garden. Tezztor had unlocked a secret and the spirit saught to exploit it.
-
"Kiolosk?" She asked in her native tongue. "Where are you heading?" Confused, she flew over him, and landed in front of him in a defensive stance. She would not allow him to pass without explanation, especially the plans the spirit may have in store for Tezztor's body. Not all dragons were good, and she knew that from experience.
-
Kiolosk stopped, but only briefly enough to confront her. "My plans are my own, do not defy an anchient young dragon. Once I reach the nexus, there will be no more reason to worry. I will extinguish all who oppose our kind from the face of existance. Don't worry about your friend, maybe I'll look upon his pathetic race and let them be slaves to our will." With that he began to walk again, moving her out of the way with powerful telepathic powers.
-
Nyx once again, jumped in front of him. "You will do no such thing." she snarled, this time taking him to the ground. She wasn't sure how to take him out of Tezztor's body.. She could not kill him, because in effect, it would kill her friend as well. He did not lie when he called her young one... She was indeed young for a dragon and somewhat inexperienced with magic. Her eyes glowed white and black smoke emitted from them as she tried to enter his mind to no prevail. Tezztor's body was immune to her telepathic probing... She snarled, getting less than an inch away from the raptor's face, blocking her mind from any probing that he may try. She could at least bluff. "We need more than our species for the world to be in balance. Yes, some have done us wrong, but that does not give us the right to stoop to their level!"
-
Kiolosk glared angrily "Do not tesst me young one, this will be your last warning" In doing so he liften her once again into the air, and began to chant a spell in the anchient Draconic language. before she knew it she saw a flash of light and awoke in the Castle of fright. Though there waqs one downside to the anchients power. Due to its lack of his physcial form, the raptor's brain didn't have the conditioning to keep memories tucked in. When he teleported her, she saw a glimpse of a prison, in the nexus where the dragons form still existed, jailed away. It was that the spirit saught.
Kiolosk made his way north past the statue and torward the woods.
-
Where the assasin had thrown his dagger no figure stood only darkness and in a moment Crimson Fury was now behind the man, the tip of his blade running along the side of his face. "the only one that will die is you if you do not leave."
-
Nyx looked around, unsure of where she was. Only getting that it was a castle. She'd managed a glimpse of seeing a jail, with the dragon's form within. She wondered how far away he had placed her as she walked out of the entrance, or the exit in her case, of the castle and observed the surrounding area. She sensed Tezztor, but also the dragon spirit that over powered his form. North, she thought, he said he'd head north. She sprang up into the air and began to pump her wings as fast as they could go. She had to get to the prison before Kiolosk; it was her only chance of getting any leverage against him.
-
she made the daggeres fly out the assaisins hands and ran towards the fallen cub making sure she was ok she ran her hand along her spine to see if anything was broken.
-
The assassin grins, even laughing slightly. "Such an interesting cast this place has assembled. And I must compliment your abilities, that dagger would have killed a lesser creature before it knew it was in danger. And it seems this interloper has left me with no weapons, and only four daggers left. Such a-" He turns, claws extended, his left making for the knights throat, "pity I should-" his second paw makes for the knights stomach, meaning to make him squirm before he died, "go through such trouble!"
-
she reaches out her hands and makes a roack come flying up to hit the assasins face so as to give kniht a chance.
-
Finding this amusing, she stood by. You can't get quality entertainment like this at home. She thought, snickering. Syrial grunted again, catching her attention.
-
"who moi"she smiled misicheviously letting another rock fly without even loking
-
As she tended to his cracked ribs, she swung her head. "No, Mr. Assassin over there."
-
"oh"she frowned, then continued concentrating on a big rock
-
Kiolosk moved alone at a brisk pace, reaching the forest. The dragon spirit inside Tezztor was growing furious, unable to read the raptors mind. "Let known your secrets to me or I will destroy your mind raptor!" the spirit cursed. Suddenly the raptor's body convulsed and dropped to its knees. Tears fell from his eyes though he had no control, the dragon was destroying him from within. The two spirits battled within for control, but the anchient was simply too powerful for Tezztor to handle. Tezztor's spirit lost and was thrown from his body.
Kiolosk laughed. "Pathetic soul, this form is now mine. Don't worry when I return to my body I'll be sure to burn it. But in the meanwhile lets give it a few touches" with that the raptor's body began to mutate and transform. It grew larger and more muscular, wings sprouted from its back and its claws and talons grew longer. Flames erupted from the dragon raptor's eyes.
Tezztor's spirit wept. "My body what will I do now I cannot defeat the dragon spirit." He thought hard remembering the tome and all the text he had studied for clues. "Yes I know now what must be done." He thought as he flew onwards invisible to mortal eyes.
-
she braced her self for the rock as she lifted it up and threw it towrads him to overthrow him
-
Nyx flew until she saw a structure in which she assumed was the Nexus. She swooped down scanning the area for Tezztor, but not finding him. She had no clue how close the spirit may be, she was sure he could block her ability to sense him as she was quietly trying to do herself.
-
Kiolosk glided through the forest with ease, the sheer power of his wings cracking small brush in half. A foul aura eminated from him, killing plantlife near him as he flew by. Finally he came to the nexus and landed near the front door. "At lasst I have come, the world will tremble and shatter under the limits of my power." he said as he walked up to the massive magical door. "Shsss Halur de'lira Shu Sriliss" he hissed at the door in the Raptor tongue. The door did not budge and he repeated the words but nothing. He punched the door in aggrivation, sending shockwaves of deadly power outward. "If only I could read the raptor's mind, he ssurely must know the secret to opening the door." he cursed.
Meanwhile Tezztor hovered there in the trees behind the dragon raptor. "He can't enter as I had thought. A phrase from each of the three castles must be called at the door at the same time. Nice safety net" he thought to himself. In each castle there must be a tome with the words inscribed. "Now I know the words for hope, we need the words for fight and vampiria because even if I am a spirit I cannot penetrate the magical barrier that holds this dragon's form prisoner"
-
Crimson Fury just stood there grinning at this fool's absolutely pathetic attempt to end his life. "Haha when will you mortals learn the futility of your ways?" With that Crimson Fury wrapped his hand around his foe's neck, squeezing it so tightly it was on the verge of snapping the man's neck! "I normally would drain your blood at this point, but I imagine one's blood like yourself does not taste very good."
-
smiles and looks at how well that knight had captured this man.so she turned her attention to the wounded but kept an eye out ofr the him just incase....

((Wow O.O anger.....))
looks over at the fight
-
Shadow takes his last four knives and smiles, hurling them at his foe with all his strength. His claws extend again, grabbing for the knights throat. He will bleed for this, squirm, beg for death, beg him for the sweet embrace that waits at life's end, but he will not get it. No, he will have a little fun with this one first. Along with that annoying telepath. SHE would get her turn as soon as his target was done breathing.
-
She laughed under her breath, swishing her tail in irritation at the flinching of the cub. "If you don't stop, I'll break every bone in your body and leave you to heal alone." She threatened.
-
-Ahem-
Moderating is MY job around here. No flaming others, if you cannot roleplay in a respectable manner, I'll step up your punishment. As for now, consider this your only warning before action is taken. This is for EVERYONE. Not just the two or three quarreling. Unneeded posts removed.
-
Kiolosk burns the surrounding forest in fustration. "The answer musst lie in the other kingdoms" he snarled as he took off for fright. He flew at such speed he must of seemed a blur to those on the ground, each wing flap sending him hundreds of feet forward. Seconds before his arrival his roar could be heard then suddenly he landed at the entrance with a thud, sneding shockwaves of death around, killing trees and brush. "Ah fright, now this iss more like it." he said sadistically as he made his way into the dmly lit halls, his eyes shining like flashlights amongst the darkness. "I must find the answer here"
-
"You really are clueless aren't you?" asked Crimson Fury his eyes a blaze as he starred at his foe, his hand still clenched tightly around the man's throat, and taking his other hand and pulling out the daggers with ease, the darkness around them formed around Crimson Fury's wounds and quickly began to heal them. Crimson Fury then tossed the man like a rag doll into the wall across the room. "I am a Draculina you pathetic worm! do you think such means could really kill the likes of me?! Now then leave this place and never return or next time if I even get a glimpse of you in the corner of my eye I will kill you then and there with out an ounce of mercy!"
-
she straightened up and made a small smile"hoping the fighting was over...for now anyway
-
The assassin smiles, slowly rising and dusting off his robes. "Then do it now, and save us both the trouble." He starts laughing again, his voice raspy from the knights grip, and spreads hit arms. Beneath his robes, the raptors lacerations had reopened. "Kill me if you have it in you! One of us is going to die in this room, and it looks as if it will be me, so let's just get this over with, eh?" No daggers, and that Gods-cussed raptor had his short-sword, an enchanted weapon that would make short work of this insolent fool. Ah well, it seemed Ka was not on his side today.
-
Kiolosk stormed down the halls, searching room after room. In fustration he sent a wall of fire down a corridor, torching all the rats and insects. "Where could it be?" he growled moving a few more feet. Suddenly voices crept into his ear, and he stopped. They were comming from the other side of the wall. "Perhapss they know where the tome for this castle lies." With that he burst through the wall and caught them all in a crushing mind field, levitating them and holding them in place. "Where iss the tome?" he said angrily. "One of you will tell me or you are all gonna die"
-
Nyx finally felt a breif flash of anger from the dragon spirit, and no Tezztor was to be sensed. Though the flash was brief, she was able to press hard enough to catch a location and a motive. She instantly took flight heading for the last castle. Not fright. There was no way that she could take him on in a battle, but he would need the third tome... And in oreder to get it, he'd have to find her.
-
"And why should I be so generous to give you the sweet kiss of death? No, only those who prove themselves to be worthy foes have the privilege to die by my hands, and you are far from that, but I am might just be so kind to reconsider if you tell me why you were sent to kill me?" Crimson fury continued to stand his ground though just in case this man was foolish enough to do anything more rash than he had already, or even the slim chance that Crimson fury might have underestimated him.
-
When he'd stopped flinching, she fixed him up and left him asleep. Watching the two exchange blows she soon grew tired of it. "Both of you stop. What has this place come to that its heirs are fighting again?" She asked them, frowning at both. "You say you will honor your heritage but you fight like children. Can you not see what fighting brought us? My family is dead and I must loot from others to keep my human and fox alive. You have to end this, else every citizen of this once beautiful country will die in agony for your idiocy." She stood there, quietly speaking, knowing they would hear her. "Bring the broken pieces of Hope, Fright, and Vampiria together and build a better kingdom." She growled, annoyed at how they were continuing to fight when there were people dying. "Like the child here, your subjects will die for you. And all you can do is fight? Disgusting." She spat, turning to leave.
-
Kiolosk raged waiting for their answer, tightening his grip on them until one of them finally spoke, though with trouble. "I d.. don't know what your talking about" He was furious, growing tired of these word games he wanted his body back so that he might rein terror and destruction to all that fail to worship him. He focuses on them, tightening his mental grip till their bodies exploded in a violent spray of blood all over the walls. "Ssurely somebody here must have it" He wandered around the dark halls for a while before he caught the sound of people arguing. He peeked around a corner to see two at each others throat with weapons drawn, as well as another fustrated walking away.
Tezztor floated there outside the nexus, pondering what to do, if he could do anything at all. Sadness was draped all over him, he wanted to help so badly but what could he do without any heft in the physical world? Thoughts raced through his mind about spirits, life and death. Surely there had to be some connection. Then something came to him..
-
The assassin laughs again. "Anyone of my kind worth his price never asks who. All I know is that there are three here that must die, and I've been surprised by two of them so far. Let us hope the third will be less troublesome." All he truly knew of his employer was his deep hatred for this place, and even deeper coin-purse. "Oh, but believe me, he wants to see the end of you."
-
"Your employer is probably the one person I'd hoped was dead already. And he's a she." She replied, smirking. "If anything, she's around here somewhere. She likes to watch her hired hands do their job. I heard about her having a job out but I wasn't sure if it was true. Nice she's back in business." She growled, turning more to the door. "What's the name?"
-
"I doubt our friend here knows even that much my loyal servant, one such as him can be easily prevented fro needing to know such information if the price is right of course, which brings something to mind." Crimson Fury then turns to look at the man that tried to kill him. "Seeing as it should be quite clear to me you are not capable of doing the task you were sent here to do, I am willing to give you a fairly reasonable offer. I will pay you double whatever the person who sent you to kill me offered you if you leave this land and never return to it."
-
Nyx finally saw Castle Vampiria, in the same condition as the others: Slightly broken down, weathered, and wrapped in age. She landed carefully on the edge of one of the tower's window and looked inside, crawling into the room. She felt a weird connection with the place.. As if she'd been there before in a past life. She crept down the hallways, hoping to find the library, and the tome.
-
Surrender may not be in his creed, but a bussiness deal? "Double? Are you sure you can afford that, even with the treasures lying within this place?" He thinks for a few moments, his muzzle drawn back to show his teeth, one broken fang prominent. "My current employer will likely not be pleased were I to accept such a gracious offer. Perhaps you could find a blade or two somewhere in these halls, and add that to the deal, eh?"
-
"If it causes you to end your vile task then you have deal, my only concern is the safety of those here, and that of my servants, for there is no cost too great for a thing I consider to be so valuable. You can be assured I will pay you, even it takes me to conquer every kingdom that exists in order to do so, for even though I am one whose greatest love is war, that does not mean I can not show concern for those who are loyal to me, nor does it mean I am not a man of my word. For once my task is complete here I shall pay you in full."
-
The assassin starts for the door and his camp, not too far from the castles. "You have my interest. If you can convince me that there is any way you can pay this outrageous sum you have offered me, I shall leave here forever." He gives a bow and a smile, though he doubts he will make it far past the door. His head is reeling, the accumulated injuries and stress of the day taking it's toll. "Until I have decided one way or another you and all else here have nothing to fear from me, so long as you give me no trouble. I bid you all a good night."
-
Kiolosk grabs the assassin as he tries to leave in his claw, then quickly grabs the others with his mind, squezing them and levitating them in the air where he could see. "Tell me where the tome is, or you all die" He eyed them over for any sign of the tome, he could feel its presance nearby and he would have it. He peers at the fur in his grasp. "How about you? Got anything to add?"
-
Crimson Fury watches the man leave, not entirely trusting me yet. He then heads over to the cub to make sure she is well. "You are not wounded too bad I hope?" he asked his servant.
-
she watched both of them, her eyes flicking from one to the other she kept carm and wonderedwhat the next pan of action should be, she stood next to knight nd tried to focus on the assasins face
-
(You guys need to stop ignoring Tezztor's posts. At least twice now he's grabbed you all in a mental squeeze, and yet you continue to ignore him.)
-
( its fine I can take a hint, I'm finished here, thanks for the support )
-
((wait im sorry i havent been here ror ages school, no i cant blame anythin im sorry okay, please tell me were u are))
-
From being caught in the grip of the reptiles mind, she groaned in pain. "Yo, put me down, will ya?! I have no idea what you're talking about man. Go look for it instead of forcing us to." She choked out, glaring daggers at him.
-
Crimson fury not having dealt with the assassin not focused his attention on the strange reptilian who was using so mental powers to make the others levitate, but such a weak power did not have any affect over one such as Crimson Fury. "My aren't we a rude one? First you barge in here uninvited, threaten my friends, and to make matters worse you demand an item in which none of us know anything about, and if we did with such manners as yours I would not think anyone with an ounce of common sense would still tell you were it was. Now then flee and go about your silly treasure hunt else where" Crimson fury told the reptilian figure, as he made a shooing gesture with his left hand.
-
She glanced at Crimson then Tezztor and gulped with difficulty. "Yea....I'm going....to drop...it...no...way, i. can, say...much."
-
(Uh, Knight, I hate to say this, but I can see why Tezztor bailed and Dave got annoyed; your character isn't invincible.. You have to take a few shots and sometimes play along with another's action. This is friendly advice from an experienced RPer.)
-
(I agree Nyx. Nice avatar by the way.)
-
(Thanks, just trying to help out a bit.)
-
(you have a full pic? I love your sketches/drawings.)
-
looks around i am well and truly confuzzled what the hell s going on!
-
((wow, I am surrounded by hypocrits if Tezztor has a problem with someone playing by his rules, that is his issue not mine. If Tezztor rped like an experienced rper he would not have power played us all evitating to begin with, allowing for counter action))
-
(he did, Knight. But you could go along with it for the sake of keeping the fighting to a minimum. Anyways, I'll try to see if he'll come back.)
-
((well seeing as most of us including myself are from being perfect when it comes to rping, I think it is best if we all try not to get so upset if ones is to mess up. also on a side note Crimson is not invincible, in fact that post was in order to make up for missing Tezztor's posts, and offer an explaintion for why Crimson was not paying head to him at the moment ))
-
Wow life!she shrugged hope tetzor coms bck i miss him......
-
(I'm leaving it ALONE. There's no way I'm getting in trouble for flaming you. But boy do I want to...You don't even KNOW!)
-
(I'm done with this one. Tezztor left, which means my character has no purpose here.)
-
((well then shall we continue on with the rp))
-
(One point, Knight, could you please explain to me the limits of your character. I'm not sure anything anyone does CAN kill him. Everyone has a weakness.)
-
((well he is a vampire so whatever hurts a vampire, hurts a vampire can hurt him. Note he has taken damage if you read the posts posts but he also healed. Though Crimson Fury is a very powerful vampire so simple things like lets sat levitation for example will not have much affect on him, unless one puts all their energy on causing him to levitate. There is nothing I have actually done to even give the slightest clue he is invincible, so you guys coming to that conclusion I find to be a bit silly. Also I have given clear reasoning of why he has been able to do certain actions, not just merely saying he does them which would be powerplaying))
-
she swung her arm round boredly
-
Growling in annoyance, she lunged at him.
-
keeped a wary eye on the sit uatrion
-
Growling in annoyance, she lunged at him.
((confused who is she lunging at?))
-
(you.)
-
((just thought I would check))
Crimson Fury not suspecting his servant to lunge straight at him got knocked down to the ground by the small panther cub. "Bloody hell what was that for?" he asked rather harshly at the cub, as he stood back up brushing himself off.
((also will be gone the rest of this week, have a funeral i am going too. Might be on later))
-
The PANTHER smirked. "That's for ignoring your servant and being such a jerk." She replied, flicking her tail as her eyes narrowed in annoyance.
-
oksy....um...
-
"My apologies for it did not seem I was doing either or, but I have been wrong in think as such before. Well now that you have my attention what is you want of me?" he asked as he finished readjusting his armor. Normally Crimson Fury would be rather enraged from such behavior from a servant, but he also did not like to be annoyed constantly either, so for now he thought itbest to show his servant some respect for the respect it had sown him prior to being pounced on that is.
-
"First off, stop being so high. I'll kick you off your damned high horse if you don't watch yourself. Second, that cub is worth more than your entire family. I suggest, highly, that you keep him close. And third, bad idea to tick a millennium old creature off. You might want to find him and apologise or somat." She snarled.
The cub still lay on the ground, asleep.
-
"Alright, alright I get the idea jeez...no matter why most people stopped offering to do good things any more, I am doing my best to help you guys out and what I get in return some hired hand tries to kill me, some crazy guy holding people hostage to find some tome, and then my servants flip out on me. Honestly what has the world come to? Well I guess we best make sure the cub is ok before something bad happens again." With Crimson Fury goes to make sure the cub is fine, walking over to him.
((maybe it's just me not reading careful if so ignore this, but can you clarify in your posts when reffering to the panther and the bear cub))
-
y is everybody anry today
-
(I DID specify, that's the problem. Either you're blind or I'm just really dumb. >.>)
The panther snorted. "My name is Serina. Who're you?" She bent over the cub next to him, shifting his head to lay it in her lap. "Sleep well, you have a long day ahead of you..." She murmured, stroking his soft fur.
The cub smiled, rumbling in his sleep and cuddling closer to her.
-
"I am Crimson Fury, and apparently the heir to this castle, or what remains of it anyways." Crimson Fury then felt relief as the cub took comfort in the panther nudging him. "I take it you are one of the people that live in these parts too?"
-
She nodded. "He tell you the story? Or just a part of it?" Her eyes glowed brightly at the mention of it, brighter than the cub's had. She pulled Syrial into her lap and held him like a child, hers. "How long has he been with you, do you know?"
-
"I just arrived today, but with all the comotion that has gone on thus far it seems much longer. He did though tellme a great deal, whether or not that was the full story i know not, bt if you do not mind tell me what you know in case there is something i missed."
-
She sighed, adjusting herself. "Then let me see....There were six original powers and three castles. Hope, Vampira, and Frightsa. Frightsa was the worst kept castle and King Okman was a fool. He spent most of his money on useless things for his private fright collection instead of on armor for those of us being plagued by humans. His queen, Xeldan, was blind as a bat. She listened to him and didn't challenge a thing he did. She was taught by her parents that the men ruled the house and what they did was not to be questioned." She shook her head sadly. "Shortly after his last piece was gained, he died off a snakebite. Xeldan was shattered. She took on a child to help her get over it and died a year or so later." She looked at him.
-
"Well that information is news to me thanks I guess,, not quite sure how knowing the ruler of Castle Frightsa was a fool and such, especially it does not give us any insightful information of the feud that went on, or how to bring back these kingdoms. Though I have a couple of questions for you, why if these places are so important that the people here did nothing to restore them on their own accord instead of waiting for the heirs to do it for them, but call me crazy how come I am the only heir even here? For if the other two are to be restored wont their heirs have to come here too?"
-
Serina gathered the cub into her arms and stood slowly. "The child is ...." She paused, looking around. "My grandmother. She died last year and my mother followed shortly after. Fright belongs to me but I cannot rebuild it alone. I was hoping Vampiria would have a better heir but I guess you will have to do." She sighed, frustration evident in how she stood with her hip bent to the side. "So we're the only ones to have shown up? This'll be fun. Marcus was here a few weeks ago, so was Amelia."
-
"Glad to be of service" he said rather sarcastically at the comment she made of him. "I am sorry for your loss I never knew my own family that well for we were always so far apart. Seeing as your are an heir as well any suggestion of what we should do first, for I am a battle strategist, and knight building up a kingdom again is something I lack knowledge of"
-
A crooked smile split across her face. "Yes. First we must gather some helpers then materials. I believe steel and the new stone from Bogaville will do. I'll see if Amelia can do that." She replied, whistling long and low.
-
Shadow reaches his camp somehow, only to collapse onto his bedroll and pass out almost instantly. It had been an interesting day, that much was certain. Now, after he was rested, he could nurse his wounds, find a new weapon, and wait for the knights deal to prove itself or be broken.
-
"Very well and when that is going on what is you would like me to do?" For i am tired of standing around feeling useless."
-
"Hunt down some guards for the castles and check them."
-
"You are joking right? Besides you two I have not seen really anyone around that lives in these parts. In fact the only person I know who is around is that assassin, and I still do not trust him enough, especially to be a guard of all things" Crimson Fury said rather frustrated as he was becoming more irritated by the whole idea. "this whole idea is pointless, I am a fool for wanting to help in the first place. I know nothing of these people, nor do I care what happens to them. I am a knight after all nothing more, doing things like this are absolutely pointless to one as such as myself."
-
At his words, her face hardened and she straightened up. "Then leave. Don't come back if you don't care for anyone here."
-
"gaurdian angel" she mummers with a smile and goes to stnd by mortem
-
Her hands clenched into fists then unclenched, her jaw muscles twitching with controlled fury. "You cannot understand us, therefore leave us. We have no need of careless knight such as thee." She spat through her clenched teeth: the twitching was getting harder to control. The creature beside her seemed to be trying to help. "I shall do this myself. Thou art worthless."
-
she looked from one to the other wondering if she shoul intervene
-
"Fine then I will leave, for I am wasting time standing here doing things for people that mean nothing to me. I do not even see why you people really even care about about rebuilding this castles, you have all existed fine since they fell, and I see no difference now. Kingdoms rise and fall all the time such is the way of life. These kingdoms fell so what? Deal with it, life goes on. I do not even see the point of why you wanted the heirs to come back anyways. After all what did you expect three total strangers to come back with open arms and embrace you all as their people, and rebuild the kingdoms even though there is nothing they get out of it, but to rule over you and your land? For if you thought such a thing would happen you are more than a fool then I could imagine!" Crimson Fury then stormed out of the castle ruins.
-
She snorted and turned her head from the door he'd stomped off through, tears glistening in the corners of her eyes. "The all-seeing eye watches you, putting you in the spotlight... She will soon return and consume everything. You have no compassion nor honor to fall back on when she destroys you....Breathe while you can, she will soon have you for her own..." She murmured, her voise rising and falling in rhythm with a far away ocean. Turning back, her eyes glowed a brilliant, pure silver as the image of the careless knight appeared breifly before her then her eyes went back to being their usual golden green.
The cub groaned, sitting up. "Where's Master?" He asked, shaking from his knees to his head.
-
she sank to her knees "whats happend...Oh whats happend"she growled dispite feeling horribly sad she peered over at the over two, wondering if she could join them...or even if...no theyve probably got thei rown way to go.a silent tear dropped downn her face, would she ever be able to complte her mission
-
Syrial struggled to his feet, swaying a little, and lurched over to the panther who'd taken care of him. "Can we help her? If master's gone, then you are my new master...?" He asked quietly, shivering from a chill only he could feel.
The panther sighed. "Yes, I will be... Of course we will help. She is one of us now and she deserves what we can give."
-
she sighed and looked over at the setting sun, well fair tails from here" she whispered to the other two and raced towards the hill
-
Picking up Syrial, Serina began to follow the guardian angel down the hill and through the ruins.
-
when she felt she was being folowed she turned to see the other two "w..what is it.."she asked quietly and sadly
-
She came a bit closer and stopped. "We wish to help, may we?" She asked, adjusting the bear cub in her arms.
-
"help!...wel..um.."she lookd side ways "isnt he..your master" she asked quuizacly
-
Serina shook her head slowly. "No, he never was. He was Syrials' but now Syrial is my pet. I wish he would have stopped to imagine what we would have had had he rebuilt the castles with us..." She sighed sadly, a tear falling down her face.
-
"ill help you.....i know i will be a grweat help...oh please dont cry" walks over and kneels by you "its gunna be ok...honest, trust me"*strokes your head*
-
She leaned into the angel, crying softly. Her tail drooped to between her legs as the end twitched. "You will...? Thank you."
-
Crimson Fury was now about half way back to the land he lived in on his black horse once again, in a dense forest covered in dead, withering trees, a rather eerie scene for this black and empty night. Crimson fury stopped for a moment letting out a deep sigh, and looked back at the path in which he had came. "The battlefields is the life I have ever known, things such as kindness, and helping others is nothing I know of, so what good is a knight like me who was born of the sword be able to cater to the needs of a poor and ruined kingdom. They better off with out me anyways."
-
"but one thing is bugging me....what was rwong with that fellow and...this castle wont take long cheer up."
*ruffles your head then ges out some snacks*
"fancie anything..or not" she asked whilst looking out for the knight
-
"He's just an arrogant sonuva wh**e. He doesn't need us nor we him. I hate heirs full of themselves. He'll be better off eaten by a walrus." She swore, biting back the last bit she wanted to add. She had a dirty mouth when she got into her temper.
-
she stopped her search and looked down at the cub, a smile flittered acroos her face.
"that bad is he.." she then set about getting out the food "well..i hope he doesnt put you of your food" she winked and handed them both some of her food supply
-
She nodded, munching on the snacks. "Thanks."
-
"now..white meat or blood red" she asked while setting up the bonfire.wondering how he will the knight get back..but she shook her head and forget about i. then she turned to the other two "so, how are we going about this castle of yours"
-
By now Crimson Fury was back to the kingdom he came from and sat alone in his chambers even though there was suppose to be a feast down in the main dinning hall he was not interested as he lied on his bed thinking about his life. Memories of him being trained to be a knight while he was a boy, then latermemories of him fighting on the battlefield. Then finally all the rewards given to him by the many he fought to protect, or siege land for. If one was to have a glance it would seem Crimson Fury had the life anyone of that time could of have dreamed of, he had wealth, known the company of many lovely, young maidens, and was practically a legend through out the whole land. Though if one was to look closer they would see he was always alone in the end no family, no friends, no lover to speak of. For even though it seemed Crimson Fury had everything, he lack the one thing that all people truly desire, and that was happiness, and happiness was something Crimson Fury in all his life truly knew the meaning of. Realizing this it had made him cold and bitter, mainly because he knew he had countless chances to be happy, and he had turned them all away, however there was one last chance that still existed, but whether or not he would grasp it he was still unsure of, for to obtain it he would almost have to sacrfice all he had ever known, and start a new.
-
she started the fire and sat down, immedaietly exhausted, she made sure the other two were fed and well before making herself comfortable and looking up at the stars she curled up to sleep
-
She was definitely calmer now that she'd had a chance to blow off some pent-up steam. Her amethyst eyes glittered brightly with the firelight, giving them an eerie glow. Pulling the cub to her, she cuddled him close.
-
although she could feel the cold slowly creeping around her trying to get in to her she just tightened herself into a tighter ball so nothing could get her, but it still didnt take away the feeling of tiredness, and then she could feel someone watching them
-
Crimson Fury finally made up his mind and decided he was going to try this shot of having the possiblity of true happiness, for whether or not he would succeed in doing so was something he was not sure of himself, but he knew he had to at least try, for if not he would end up doomed being alone and miserably for the rest of his days. As he was about to leave he left a note for one of his fellow knights. "I am leaving for a long time, maybe even for good my old friend. For even though I am a vampire born of the darkness, and raised to be nothing more but a solider on the bloody fields of battle, fate has given me the chance to do more than merely take one's life, but to have the power to return the glory of a life a people once knew. As result of my absence I hereby give you and all our fellow comrads to divide my possessions as you see fit among yourselves. I hope one day you and the others find what it means have a chance at truly beingl happy as well." with that done Crimson Fury went to the stables, and fetched his black steed and dashed off the castle ruins he had left behind.
-
she shivered again a cold drought flowed through her..if this kept up she could get hypothermia..or whatever. she wrapped herself up desperate to get warm...but then she fellt the coldness tug at her, she felt suddenly gloriously tired and decided she would just have a small...litlle..nap
-
The feeling of hooves on the ground made her smile. "Ah, so he returns." She murmured, pulling the cub closer and standing cautiously. Deciding to give him another shot to redeem himself, she began to make her way back; picking the safest and easiest path back. The branches that slapped her face mildly irritated her but she ignored them as best she could and slipped inside the castle once more.
-
she looked about "hay..where are you going" she asked getting up and stretching then flying gently into th ruins of the castle
-
Crimson Fury stepped into the castle ruins after securing his horse to a tree outside, and spotted the others as he came inside. Walking over to the one holding the cub, and knelt down before her. "Please forgive me of my brash and foolishness, for now my eyes have been opened and relieved to me the depressing, lonely, non-purposeful life I was living, and wish not to live the rest of my days as such any more, no matter what it takes to do so."
-
"Do you seriously think I will forgive you so easily for storming out like some idiotic knight with butterflies in his head just because you beg? I will allow you to help but you will have to prove yourself sorthy of forgiveness." She replied, pulling him to his feet. "And stop kneeling, its' unbecoming to one such as you." She rolled her eyes and walked over to a particularly large column piece.
"Now comes the hard part.... Syrial, stay out of trouble and under my feet. I've got work to do. If you want to help, move what you can carry back into place. Knight, come over here and tilt that wall piece on its side, I'm going to wedge this column under it. Use those steps to get under it, please." The fox ordered quietly as Syrial scampered off to fix the murals he'd come across on his way in.
-
Crimson Fury struggled a bit at first, to push the wall piece up on it's side, but he was a strong warrior none the less and soon had it up on its side as directed by the panther, and held it up waiting for her to wedge the clum up underneath of it.
-
she walkes siletnly into the room and watched. maube she didnt need her help after all...what was she to do now. she cuoghed gently
2erm..soryy but is here anyway that i could help"she rubbed her arm the wyay she always did hen she was nervous
-
Quickly dragging it over, she stuck it between the wall and the ceiling, fixing one column. "Whew!" She sighed, stumbling over to a shorter column and easily rolling it onto its side. "The only thing that sucks about this entire castle is its hollow." She growled, kicking a tile moodily.
-
"oki...well im sure its not to hard...i can do it for you if you want!"she smiled and tried focusing on a few pieces of rock and stuck them back into a column
-
Crimson Fury then wiped his forehead "You know it is a bit strange though that after all these years no one else has came by to work on the castle, I mean any of them. Kind off eerie in a way, I mean in all my years as a knight I have yet heard of people just letting their once beloved kingdom remain in runes, something truly horrible most have happened when the three kingdoms fell, something that made this whole area, barren. For besides us, and thse few others we met I have not seen any sign of other people within the fallen kingdom's realm."
-
He stood on a tall spire of the old castle, watching them scurry underneath him busily trying to rebuild. His face twisted in a cruel smile. He looked up at a crumbling tower and enveloped himself in his cloak dissapearing into the dark sky.
-
she stopped, her ears twitched and a thought flickered through her mind. "guys...GUYS somebodys here...or at least they were" she added when she looked around saw nothinng but darkness and shadows. she spread out her wings and gently flew up to one of the spires, she looked about and waited for the reaction of the others below to tell her what to do
-
"Busy..." She stopped at Crimsons' comment and sat on the crumbling edge of a monolith. "Well, to tell the truth, Vampiria and Fright are mostly haunted by the Anu'kar or the ghosts of the royal family. No one bothers the castle because they fear the wrath of our friends from the Other Side. Ihad hoped within the first few decades they would lea--." She was interrupted when something covered in transparant blood streaked past, knocking her onto her butt.
"Jeezus, Antone, I'd really like to finish part of this room by morning; if I'm allowed?" She growled, swatting at the Anu'kar angrily.
It chuckled hollowly and swept up the ruined stairs to perch on them and watch.
"Yea, big help you are." She picked up the left side of the monolith and grunted, this one was filled. "Lazy sonuva fre'ant." She hissed under her breath as she struggled to get the giant stone tower-thing from the far right to the middle of the room. "And it.... doesn't really... help ...that our power source... ran out... a few years...back." She managed, giving the stone pillar a last push and slumping to the floor.
-
"you know...it would be easier if you let me do it" she smiled and perched herself on the spire while connecting the roof up
-
"Kinda hard when I'm use to doing stuff like this alone and in the dead of night, kiddo. I'm going to have to get a better hold on my attitude as well. Sorry I snapped at you, Crimson. I was a little ticked about you blowing us off just because you're a knight and know little about being a ruler. I'm a theif, I only know how to steal and not get caught. We both have some learning to do, don't we?"
-
she smiled down at the other two leaning against the cool stone, wondering if they were ever going to properly talk to eachother...instead of doing it over a building
-
"Yes, I suppose you are correct, but I am sorry for being so arrogant before, but now I have realized I have been given a chance to actually live once in my life, instead of letting time merely slip by, and doing nothing more than the motions of life." Crimson Fury could not help but chuckle a bit at the playful ghost, though hoped their antics would not delay the rebuilding of the castle too much.
-
"You are a strong soldier. Your leadership will be appreciated by our people. And I want to thank you for returning. You could have still stayed away." She replied, getting back to work.
(I don't know when I'll be on next, sorry bout being so scarce. Talk to you guys later)
-
((oki)) she looked about wondering what to do now
-
Syrial was now watching them work out from the corner of the wall, smiling. It was good to see the panther and knight working together. He thought they were kind of cute when they argued...
-
((sorry been gone so long, I am horrible with thinkig of ideas when things mellow out))
"You are very welcome, I am just glad I am at last able to do something useful with my life."
-
Syrial had a wild idea and he worked on it, bumping into the panther, making her lips knock into Knight's. "Hehe..." He snickered, tail wagging.
The panther immediately pulled back, blushing. "Sorry..." She replied, staring at the floor furiously trying to control her reddening cheeks.
-
Crimson Fury naturally was taken back a bit by the sudden kiss she had given him, but for only a moment until the feelings changed from shock to that of enjoyment. For her lips for whatever reason felt more pleasurable than any female companion Crimson Fury had ever known. The feelings faded though as quickly as they had came, as the panther stepped away in total embaressment, making Crimson Fury snicker a bit as he shook his head from side to side. "Haha there is no reason to apologize to me, after all I quite enjoyed it. Nothing like a little spontaneous actions to keep one on their toes." With that Crimson Fury gave her a sly grin and went back to working.
-
Peeking up at him, she noticed the smell he gave off and, instinctively, gave him a longer kiss. "How's that?" She asked, still a little embarrassed. "You're pretty cute for a foreigner." She teased.
-
Crimson Fury held her closer to him as they kissed more passionately this time. "Haha much better" he said chuckling a bit. "Though if you keep at things like that the two of us will never get any work done around here."
-
Smirking, she nuzzled him and sighed. "Like you'd want to." Her eyes caught his and she stared at him, a dark blush creeping up her face.
-
Crimson Fury turned and looked deeply into her eyes, a sly grin spreading across his lips. "Well like the say all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." He then slid hand down along the side of her face. "You know to me it looked like the master beedroom was still in pretty good shape."
-
She snickered, couldn't help herself. "That's funny. We should finish working first, honey. And don't get too far ahead of yourself. Let your head catch up." She replied, smiling and purring at his touch.
-
"Oh well is that so? Funny after all you were the one who interrupted me when I was working so I was under the impression you were not in the mood to work right now" Crimson Fury then slid his hand down the small of her back. "Though if you want to work now that is fine, I can wait till later."
-
Chuckling, she flicked him nose playfully and nipped his lips. "Careful, I'm a monster." She replied, winking. Her eyes flickered with excitement.
Syrial snickered and ran up, jumping into the mix. "Hi!"
The panther looked down, surprised and smiled. "You were the one who bumped me then?"
-
Crimson Fury purred lightly at her teasing "That is fine I enjoy monsters even more". After Syrial popped in Crimson Fury went back to working on repairing the rest of the castle.
-
"Uh huh! And you like him, don'tcha? I know you do! Look how bad you're blushing!" He teased, giggling.

Serina shrugged and let the cub down. "Why don't you let it go and I might tell you." She snorted, walking over to Crimson and picking up a piece of brick. "****, we need mortar. I'll be back in a day or two." She announced, picking up her bag from the wall and beginning to walk outside.
-
"I can come with you if you want" Crimson Fury said running over to her.
-
"Ok, sure. Only if you want." She replied.
-
sits with her feet dangiliing over the edge, dozing slightly
-
"Of course I want to, after all I would hate for something to happen to you if you were to travel by yourself, not to mention with ethere we can bring more mortar back as well."
-
She nodded. "Makes sense." Her eyes scanned the hillside as she crouched, scenting the air. "Five miles to town, half a swish left, west-southwest. No one is awake, more damage there than here, only a few furs scurrying around so late." She murmured, the directions sliding off her tongue as she continued to scent the air for another minute. "I can smell fear, sadness, and thieving glee. My partners are nearby. Be careful, they'll rob you blind." She warned, standing once more and casually walking down the hill.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Alyssa and Red watched her, curious why she was so open now. Their eyes narrowed as they saw her with the Knight. Alyssa grabbed Red's neck fur serpent-quick as he lunged to attack the other fur.
"Not yet. Let us trail them and find out why she maketh this journey with him, aye?"
Red snarled and jerked himself out of her grasp, clenching his fist, claws digging into his palms. "Aye, we wait."
-
she watched the other two talking, and briefly wondered if she should go
-
Crimson fury listened to hear as she sniffed the air and was surprised she could learn so much by just doing that. "That is amazing you know all that just by sniffing the air?" Someone like that ability would make for an amazing scout. Though I am confused why is the rest of the area in bad condition as well? Don't the people here have means to rebuild themselves?"
-
"Yes, I tend to be better at scenting than others." She blushed, nodding. Her eyes narrowed and she scented the air again, nostrils flared. She could smell something else but she brushed it aside for later.
-
Seeing as she did not answer his question about the other people living in the area he took it as her way of telling him it was not something to talk about. By the way how do we plan on getting these supplies anyways? After all I did not bring any gold or anything like that with me, and besides I do not know what kind of currency the people here use."
-
She shrugged. "They do mean to rebuild, but we have tried many times without success. Our funds run out long before the castles rise to their former glory so we have held it off. We can find the money for you, no worrying about that." She replied, smiling. "I have enough supplies for all three castles, I just need the workforce."
-
"Oh I see, never thought of it like that before" Crimson fury though paused when she mentioned rebuilding all three castles. "will ypu plan on rebuiling the other castles too even if their heirs never show up?" he asked her as they arrived at a small village.
-
"Yes, the castles must all three stand tall else our efforts are fruitless. I am here to serve all masters, old and gone and new and living. They speak to me as I speak to you." She looks around the town, eyes narrowed at the bright flash of light from a stand next to them. "NECROMANCER!" She roared, turning to the necromancer responsible for the flash and snarling.
The necromancer bowed mockingly and held out his hand. "Pleasure to meet, milady. I hope I did not scare thee." He cooed, his language odd to foreign ears. He spoke in Latin, his tone and accent mocking as he kissed her paw.
-
"You speak with spirits? Be thankful we are far from any catholic influence or else someone might think of you as a witch, though even still if they known they deeds I committed I would most likely viewed in the same light, none the less if one tried to convict you as a witch they would meet my sword and soon after their maker." Crimson Fury froze when he saw a bright flash of light and his companion shout necromancer. Crimson Fury gritted his teeth at the man, knowing full well what a necromancer was and what they did.
-
She nodded to Crimson. "Aye, they would." She agreed. Looking the necromancer in the eye, she smirked unpleasantly. "You dare touch one who walks with those of violent origin whose name most fear to utter?" She asked softly, knowing he could hear her no matter how low her voice got. "Your ignorance is insulting to me, out of my sight." She ordered, lips pulled back in a silent snarl.
The necromancer smiled. "Ah, milady. My apologies. Thee hast the beauty of the hunter's moon. I shalt leave thee until later, milady. Sweet dreams." He turned to Crimson, "Milord."
-
Crimson fury tilted his head to her as the pair pressed on. "What that really required to be so harsh to someone like that?"
-
"Aye, he had no respect for his elders, nor the upper class. He regards us with distaste and ignorance." She replied, shaking her head.
-
"So i see, well you know more of these people than I so I will trust your judgment."
-
Looking at all the people around, she nodded. "There's Hanukkah Namoon, her husband died last fall and she still hasn't gotten over him.. Poor thing." She murmured, shaking her head.
-
"I am sorry to hear about that, but how close are we to the shop for our supplies?" he asked her wanting to change subjects
-
"Around the corner." She replied, stopping to pat a child on the head. "Na'kan'u, where's Archais? He had the keys to the shop last."
The little boy shrugged, his brilliant green hair flashing in the sunlight.
-
Crimson Fury just stood there watching, waiting to be invited inside the shop.
-
uschi walked around the town shearhing for news of her brother a famous swordsman, from another land, she was looking for him, so she steeped into a shop seeing a panthar that looked worldly affaires savvy she asked "hello have you heard any tails about a troll phantom gett, have you seen him anywhere near her" she asked
-
After she'd invited him in, Adelina turned to the huge bear. "Not that I'm aware of.. I might have, let me see...."
-
palace: vampiria
Name: Kali
kali looked around while adventuring into the woods surrounding the palace.
-
Crimson Fury nodded his head to the shopkeeper once allowed to enter and looked around the shop, as he waited the panther to purchase the supplies they needed. He noticed a large bear outside, and asked a question of some sort of a troll phantom. Crimson Fury had fought against them in one of the many battles he fought, but knew them as just foes, and not on an individual level.
-
Soleil wanders towards a fur, deciding whether approaching is a good idea or bad
-
"have you any news" she asked again fingering her swords
-
Soleil wanders into a town. She sees a bear and runs to her "hello, um can you tell me where the bakery is?"
-
"sorry i don't know honestly i just got here" uschi said turning to the wolf "i guess from the smells its right next door though" she said pointing to the little store, smal, and not very well marked "have you heard any stories or such about the troll gett, the famous swords man"
-
"no i havent it sounds interesting. would you tell me?" she says happily.
-
"he's a troll, about 7' 8" i guess, he's red skinned with white marking on him, he weilds dual katanas a lot, he's the fastest thing in the world, on 2 or 4 legs i can guaentee that" uschi said "he goes around doing heroic deeds when ever he can"' uschi said
-
"sounds like a a hero to me. Thats the kind of hero we need around here. i have heard of a demon that lives within the woods of the Vampiria Castle. i think its just a rumor but it would be interesting to find the rumor to be true" she said smiling
-
((im gunna start again oki...basically im somewhere near you oki :D )) she looked about, wondering what to do now...she nibbled her lip and starte of for the nearest fur
-
"I have, he was last somewhere near Harkinson's. You know where that is?" She asked, looking at the wolf with a raised brow. "The bakery? It's down the street, under Sir Talons' Chops. Probably going to be murder getting there. Try using the alleyway just outside of here. It'll take you right there. Tell 'em Ada sent you." She replied to Soliel.
Na'kan'u snickered and grinned. "Ada? When did you start using that?" He teased innocently.
-
she watched the conversation from beneath her hood. knowing that she was going to follow them carefully, just as a little fun
-
It was true Crimson Fury never really could tell one troll from the other, however when the bear mentioned the troll she was looking for, especially how he looked it did ring a certain cord of memory of the many battles he had fought in. Crimson Fury was already getting a bit tense as he remembered that very bloody battle, and how savagely the trolls had fought. He grew even more in anger as the bear called the roll a hero and said he did many great deeds this made Crimson Fury's blood to boil, but he did his best calm himself thinking, hoping that perhaps there a more noble troll if such a thing could exist that looked like the one he was remembering now. There was only one way to find out as he turned to address the bear. "Tell me when did this troll you speak of so vividly begin to do these many great deeds? Also since you seem to know a great deal of him would you maybe be able recall some of the battles he fought in?"
-
"he goes around the lands helping anyone who needs help, you give him some gold and he fights, as long as it's just, like a ronin he has his own honor code, there are to many times to tell them all when he did good things, like last summer a building was on fire he jumped inside to save the kids, also just a few months ago he helped repel a bandit attack on the river joans town called jacks" uschi said proudly remembering her brother "he fights for what he belives in, not what some leader tells him to do" she said looking at the dark night "besides sense troll came to thease lands as slaves, they have been used by others to do there bidding" she said sourly "many friends have died because they get 'recriuted' by your people and forced to fight" she said not wanting to start a fight, but she had to defend her brother and fur kind "i may be a bear, but i'm a troll at heart, and they raised me"
-
Miy gets back from the bakery and goes to the bear again.
"so is this hero coming around here anytime?"
-
"naw he goes for great deeds, and such, quests and fights, i miss him" she said sadly "anyway what is hapening around here"
-
"idk... i just came out to get stuff for my kingdom." she said looking at the bear
-
"cool how goes it your country, the crops in spangland to the east have been devistated by locust, i'm steering clear of there, i don't want to give them another mouth to feed" she said laughing "the rains will wash them away, and then the feilds will turn green again once more, but until then it's not much food over there"
-
Crimson Fury felt slightly insulted when the bear did not answer his questions for he had asked when not how he did his so called heroic deeds. Not to mention the bear had entirely ignored the second question which out of the two was must crucial to Crimson Fury in determining if it was the same troll or not. When the bear spoke more about him though Crimson fury felt that surely this troll and the one he had fought so long ago could not be one in the same. For it sounded to odd to think of such a savage troll to some how radical change its entire being and then start running doing gret deeds for alll of those in need. "So I see, you troll friend sounds like quite a character, a pity there is not more trolls like him, for if there were then perhaps I would have one less unpleasent memory in my mind now."
-
not all trolls are evil" she said looking at the tiger "and only some trolls are controled by other species who use them unfairly" she said remembering all the slavers that took away her friends in cart loads
-
Ada growled to herself and snarled threateningly at Fury. "Don't you start." She looked at the kid and pulled her lips back to expose her lengthening fangs. "Na'kan'u, you better hush." She replied in a hushed voice.
Na'kan'u frowned and quieted, seeming to melt into the shadows. His eyes sparked fire as he continued to watch and listen.
-
uschi looked over at the first fur she talked to and the little one that disapeared into the night "if i may ask, sense the rainy seaso will start soon, i would like to wait it out, i was wondering if i could hlp you furs with anything" uschi offered
-
Shrugging vaguely, Ada began to make her way into the back of Lestrade's, humming softly as several jars with unknown content floated off the shelves after her. She didn't seem to notice. Stopping several feet away from them, she reached deep into the bin on the bottom shelf and pulled out a dark ribbony shape. The thing inched around her arm, up to her shoulder and seemed to melt into her skin. Her eyes sparked coldly, catching Uschi's in a flat stare. The ribbon-like shadow formed a satanistic symbol on her shoulder, melting into her sjkin as a tattoo.
-
ghost looked after he floating jars, not even going to ask
-
When she returned, she smiled. "Thanks, but no thanks Amel. I'm fine as is." She called, chuckling as the jars set themselves back on the shelf and a short man nearing eighty appeared slowly.
"You ruin my fun, Adalina." He replied crossly.
-
((sorry for the wait, rl keeping me busy))
Crimson Fury just merely stood by and watched he really did not care too much of what was going on, for as far as he could tell it did not have much relevance to him. "Well when you are finished getting the supplies we need let me know, I think I amgoing to stand outside and get some fresh air."
-
ghost nodded to the kight "i'll join you" ghost said following him out "i guess i'll help you rebuild" she said she didn't have any reason to leave "if thats ok with you guys, if not fine, i'll keep looking for my bro"
-
Adalina was shaking her head, amused. "You are too much, Amelison. What did you see yesterday? Red and Tank said they heard you yelling for me but I was busy roaming the Castles.. Anything important?" She asked, watching the street cautiously, ears swiveling.
The human shrugged his wrinkled shoulders. "I guess it was about your little boy stealing form me again. And that was three days ago, dear." He replied, looking at her with concern.
"Was it really?" She wondered, concerned for herself as well. "Time sure flies when you're working, doesn't it?" She shook her head in amusement and waved goodbye, carrying a box outside. Nodding to Knight, Adalina hefted the box up to her left hip and began walking towards the Castles again. "TANK! Watch the kid! Anything happens to him, I'm having your hindquarters on a silver platter and your head on gold!" She shouted, glaring at a massive blue-green wolf-Great Dane mixed.
The man disappeared back into his shop with an exhausted sigh. He knew all too well why Adalina was so protective of the child.
-
Crimson Fury follows suit not having much on his mind really, after all who nothing of that village, or its people, and at this point besides rebuilding the castle did not care to know much about them.
-
When she could stop for rest, Ada looked behind her and frowned. "Where's that kid? He'd better be at Hope tomorrow, those D'Arrv idiots are going to come back and ransack what's left of the treasure. Which means I get to go rough 'em around and steal it all back... Fun..." She grumbled, sitting next to the crate of supplies.
-
duo sees ada walk out so getting no response from the knight she turns to her "would you need a hand. i've been looking for my bro and can delay my search to help, if you need another set of hands" duo said being polite
-
Ada smiled at the bear. "Sure, why not? I'll need your help to 'win' back my rightful treasures, if you're up to it." She replied with a wink.
-
duo cracked her mechanicle knuckles "i got time to help"
-
"Rightful treasures what are you talking about? You never mentioned anything about treasures to me before"
-
The grin on her face widened. "Remember when I appeared out of nowhere to help that cub? I own most of the things in the castle... No one claimed them for years and looters steered clear of the place because someone said it was cursed. I found a trail leading deep inside and stumbled onto lots of treasure. Rightfully, they belong to everyone but since I found them, they're mine." She looked around and frowned, pointing her nose to the sky. "What the..."
-
trowa looked up in confusion as to what would make ada look up
-
Ada sniffed the air once more and shrugged, moving off towards the castles. "Must've been a lingering scent or something.." She muttered loudly.
-
"Personally things like wealth don't concern me any more as long as we get this castle built, and the people are ruled justly are my only concerns now" Ada sniffing didn not bother Crimson Fury, after all he could not sense any threat himself.
-
After she'd dismissed the scent, it returned, far stronger than before. The rank odor of rotting flesh. Ada growled in annoyance, opting to ignore it for the time being and return to Fright. The road was long, hard, and silent. Many miles stretched before them to reach the three castles. Ada blew her hair out of her face, adjusted the box and began walking towards Fright.
-
Crimson Fury noticed Ada sniffing again, and paused and sniffed himself. all he could smell was like something was dead, most likely an animal left to die along the road or something, but that was probably all it was, and he continued walking onwards with the others.
-
trowa walked on to the castles "hey what happened, i mean why are the castels abandoned"
-
"In short, the kings and queens died in succession from the Red Death. The only remaining inherents were Prince Rasia and Princess Anali of the Fright and Vampiria Castles. They hid from the rest of the public, afraid they would be killed. My father, Renault, was Anali and Rasia's son. So, inertly, I own both Hope and Vampiria. I just don't like Hope... Too much of the memories of the past linger there..." She replied, sighing as a memory flickered halfway across her vision. "I remember only one thing of Hope, and that's my father bringing my mother and I home after the war that ripped our family apart. It was the last time I saw my mother smile, or my father laugh.... On my fifteenth birthday, my mother left my father and Renault hung himself from the rafters of their bedroom...." Ada turned her head, making the memory disappear.
-
trowa remained stotic, she had had a hard life and didn't want to hear about others. she looked ahead in the road and saw a huge castle "is that one of the castels"
-
"Don't forget to tell our friend here how I got roped into this whole mess" Crimson Fury said jokingly as he nudged Ada lightly.
-
She managed a half-smile and sighed. "Yes, it's Vampiria you see there. Hope is behind it and Fright is next door." She looked at the castles and groaned. "Lord, how much work we must do!" She complained dramatically. Smiling, she finished the walk up to Vampiria and opened the door, wincing as it creaked. Her nose twitched.
