In the entire 2023 so far, 40 topics have been created, that's a little over 1 topic per week. The original purpose of automatically locking threads was to stop duplication and thread necroing, and that made sense when we were getting hundreds of thread per year. However, now that the forum is less active the impact of duplicate threads and thread necroing has been reduced, and I think the locking thread thing is actually becoming more of a problem.
Look at Furry Freezer, there is not a single thread there that is not locked, forum games only has four games running because all of the other threads are locked. If I were a new member I'd be very nervous about creating a new thread, and only being able to post in the very few threads that are still active would probably drive me away. It would also make me think the forum is completely dead.
My suggestion is as follows: Revive all threads, or at least all threads on the top page of every board, or all threads posted in in the last year (whatever is easiest) then disable automatic thread locking. I don't see this as a permanent thing, if the forum gets more active again we can quickly re-enable automatic thread locking, but just while it's in its less active state, I really think this is the right move.

I agree, I think that would be a great idea. ^_^ So many locked threads would be so nice to be have more open ones again. in those areas.

That would be amazing, and fun.
Would love so. Do agree on what you mentioned there Anoni.

Fourthing that notion - I disappeared for two years, and I saw so many threads that I would like to add my thoughts to, or go back to - but they're long since locked! :o

It would be very cool to go and play some of the inactive forum games that were locked ^_^
