In this universe, there's a lake, surrounded by forest, other dens, animals, etc. Your den can be wherever you'd like, but the cavern at the bottom of the lake is already mine. Take your pick. Enjoy!
Sen sat up in his crystal bed, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes, the dim glow of the crystals jammed in the walls of the vast cavern, slowly getting brighter, allowing his eyes to adjust. Standing up slowly, he then leaned backwards, feeling a few comforting pops and cracks, stretching his back, then spread his wings, stretching them as well.
"AAAaaaahhh... That's better..." he said, sighing, one of his favorite songs stuck in his head (Nemo, by Nightwish).

Sam woke with a start, a snarl stuck in her throat. The footstpes from her nightmare faded into silence. She sighed and sat up; looking around the dark den for something. Her footfalls echoed softly back at her as she walked on her hind legs ot the mouth of the den, wathcing the sun rise.

Tezztor stood there silent at the edge of the lake. He breathed in the air around him taking in the various scents off the wind. Around the lake he noticed several cavern entrances as well as some deer on the far end drinking water. He waded a bit into the water till he was knee deep, his tail swishing the water contently behind him. "The water iss pure here. Let them wash away my deedss and prepare me for those ahead." He took a ragged patch of fur from his pack and wiped his claws clean then left the water. When uppon a dry patch of land he began to clear it away and build a makeshift shelter. "Thiss place will do nicely. Water abound and the sscent of many quary about." He snifs the air again. "Hmm maybe more then quary here, I'll have to be careful."

Sen walked deeper into his underwater cavern, the light crystals in the walls matching the brightness outside, simulating the sun surprisingly well. On his left, his Kendo training area. On his right, rows and rows of crystal bookshelves, loaded with arcane tomes. His special tome not among the shelves, but hidden elsewhere. Sen slowly walked over to his Kendo area, lifting his katana from the stand, and strapping it on his back, positioning it between his wings as he always has. He slowly walked over to the entrance of his den - a seemingly shallow puddle of water about 10 feet in diameter.
Sen took a deep breath, letting it out slowly. He then took another breath really quickly, diving straight down into the "puddle", banking forward right before hitting the bottom, swimming and navigating through the maze-like entrance, finally making it to the small pocket of air at the bottom of the lake, breathing quickly at first, the pressure hurting his ears. He popped his ears, shaking his head and letting the pressure regulate. Breathing slowly now, he took a deep breath, swimming down to the bottom of the lake, smiling, pushing off the bottom hard, shooting upwards to the surface. He spread his wings wide, using them to help push the water down, his wings glowing brighter as they worked harder, a beacon of light firing upwards from the dark depths of the lake.

She had her face turned to the sun when somethnig shot out of the lake below. Her green-gold eyes narrowed, she looked around the mouth then crouched. Springing foreward, Sam leaped off the lip her den was sitting on and landed two down. Her black tail flicked, catching her. Her ears flattened to her skull as she prepared to leap again.

Tezztor scratches the bark of a nearby tree and rubs the underside of his muzzle against it, marking the spot as his territory. He hears a rustle off in the distance and quickly turns to see it but finds nothing. His neon green eyes squint, examining every detail. He stretches out his fingers ande clutches them, preparing for any ambushes. Sniffing the air he picks up a unmistakeable scent. He crouches and lurks torward a leafy patch and lies in wait. "Dinner has come to me perhapss"

Flying up straight into the sky from his home in the bottom of the lake, the water that had soaked into his fur dripping out back into the lake, the wind cooling him down quickly, waking him up from the warmth of his soft bed and the swim in the warm lake water. Sen landed on the far edge of the lake, a small head-wind making him have to fly a little bit harder to reach there. The deer was drinking water from the lake not even 30 feet away, but payed no mind to him. Sen wouldn't hurt anything that had no intention of harming him.
He shook himself dry, folding his wings to his back, and took a deep smell of the air around him. Quite pointless in doing so, being upwind, though.
Sen sighed, looking down a bit. "It's the same thing every day... Wake up, swim, run, fly, eat, explore... It's pointless in exploring anymore... I already know everything about this forest... Being here for so long with only an occasional fur to talk to is good, but I'd like someone rather than the fur who just wants answers or to be healed..." Walking slowly over to the edge of the rock slab overhanging the lake, he sits down, crossing his legs and closing his eyes, letting his awareness flood around him. Meditation is always a good way of putting the mind at ease...

Her eyes noticed something above her and she climbed down, running up the trail as she caught the unmistakable senct of another wolf. She relaxed a little then pounced on it. (Sen) "HI!" She yelped, wheezing a little. Her tail swished lazily and her ears perked.
This was her first exploration of the forest and the other places around her den. Sam looked past him to the trees and barked, smelling food.

Tezztor stood motionless in the brush, carefully examining 2 creatures which he had never seen before. Both of them able to fly which made him weary. Fliers have always been a bane to his people and he has learned not to take them lightly. He motioned closer to a tree to give himself some protection. The one leaped upon the other and he was sure it was an attack but he remained still. To his suprise the creatures intent did not seem ill. "What kind of place have I gotten myself into" he thought to himself.

Her fur bristled and she jumped off, walking closer to the brush and sniffing the air. "Who's there?" She snarled, leaping into the woods with clumsy grace. "Come out, come out, where ever you are."

"Sam, relax. Whoever is there might not be hostile." Sen said, following her through the bushes. "Who's there?"

Tezztor caustiously steps from the bushes still weary of the creatures before him. "Only I stand here. I assk you keep your distance." He examines the creature before him. It is unlike anything he has encountered in his travels before. "My name iss Tezztor, a raptor of the Ne'taku tribe. I will defend myself if attacked" He says cooly completely unconvinced that there is any hostile intent, but still ready in case. He sniffs the air and only the two remain upwind and there is no sign of a scent trail. "I appologize if I had wandered into any territoriess but there was no indication."

"It's fine, Tezztor. My name is Sen, and my friend here is Sam. It's not often I see an anthro like yourself. I don't believe I've heard of the Ne'taku tribe. Around where are you from?" Sen asked, walking a few steps closer, wings folded tightly to his back. "As for the territory, there isn't really an indication of any kind. There are so few anthro's in the forest that 'territory' doesn't really count for anything. The only thing that a fur can call their own is their den. So, welcome to the forest." Sen smiled, offering his paw in friendship.

Sam glanced at Tezztor and growled softly. "You are welcome here as long as you wish. Although there are two things I hope you will rmember for future use: the cave at the middle of the rock face on the other side of this forest is mine, and the cave at the bottom of the lake is his. I disapprove of anything near mine uninvited so if yuo want to check it out, find me. I'm unsure about his."

"Sam, relax. It's not like he's going to try and destroy the forest..." Sen said to Sam, his ears folded back. "You're welcome to come take a look in my den if you'd like. It's not that far, but being able to hold your breath might be needed..."

She turned to him with her brows rasied. "I wasn't meaning it that way. i meant I dislike any intruders. Food is always killed first and it's rude of me to think you hostile before I get to know you. I apologise." She offered her apw and folded her black wings with a whisper of motion.

Tezztor shakes both their paws as a show of faith. "You will have to forgive me, my tribe often warss with the winged beats of the silvery plains. We have learned to expect trouble from fliers. My tribe iss not of thiss forest. Our lands lie across the silvery plains and into the marshlandss beyond." He eyes both the creatures and stares offward torward the forementioned dens. Leaves rustle and blow in the wind and a cool air gently flows across his scales. He walks torward his campfire and sits down. "You two are welcome to take of its warmth for as long as long as you ssee fit. I'm afraid I have little in the way of food to offer. Please tell me about yoursselves"

Sam looked behnid her and came closer, sitting across from him. "My name is Samantha. I'm an anthro from Sryka. My clan lost our land to Two-Legged, Wingless Things and we moved out here to find better shelter. I was a cub when the Things took me and expiremented on me. I have not seen any of my kind since I met Sen. That's all I remember, and that they are the reason for my weird coloring..." She stood on two legs and pointed out the neon blue markings on her stomach.
"And I also lost everything from my childhood. I only remember my parent's names; no faces or anything but the annoying expirements...It's a wonder to me I survived..." She twisted her head around and stoked the scars at the base of her wings thoughtfully.

"I remember I was just a normal fur when I was born. Tawny, brown fur, and only 8 years old. My mother died while giving birth to me, and my father was devastated..." Sen started, sighing softly. "He managed to pull through my mother's death, but he never got over it the right way. He busied himself in his work. Well, by his work, I mean 2 month-long expeditions to foreign lands. Every time he was gone, he left me in the care of my Aunt Katharine, my mothers sister. She signed me up for Kendo one time, and I went until I was able to take down the sensei with just the bamboo bokutos they provide. Along with Kendo, she signed me up for numerous martial arts classes. They were so long ago...
"I remember my father coming home one time after being gone for about 5 months. I feared that he might've been dead. When he came home, I ran down the stairs into his arms. My father had quite precious cargo in his arms, along with myself. He told me that it was an ancient arcane tome, and that it's powers, if fallen into the wrong hands, could prove deadly to all furkind..."

"Interesting..I've never heard your history Sen..." Sam looked over Tezztor's shoulder and smiled wistfully. "I wish I could find my family again and apologise..."

Tezztor scratched the dewflap under his chin contemplating the words of Samantha and Sen. He noticed how they seem sad, yet wisened from their experiances. Almost involuntary he turned to Sam and asked, "What do you need to appologize for?" The raptor tribes of the marshes were used to battle and all its effects both good and ill. It seemed almost second nature to him to expect death and when the other two mentioned their experiances it almost seemed foreign. He was not used to sorrow being applied to such matters. To him death was the glory of battle of a fierce foe and life was the gift of pride of ones prowess in combat. "I am sorry that you have lost both family and time, there iss no honor to torture" He said trying to be comforting.

"If you'd like, I we can all go back to my den, where I can show you the tome," Sen said, nodding in his consolation.

Sam shook her head to clear her mind and shrugged. "For everything I could have done that I didn't. I wandered off from my Haunt and now I pay everyday..." She nods. "There isn't. At least I can say I fought back. They took children and did horrible things to us. I was one out of a group of fifteen that lasted a thousand and one tests about loads of things." She sighed, sadness coloring her face. "If only I'd been faster...I could have saved them..." Tears glistened in her eyes and she wiped them away absently.
"My mother and father were the last to leave. I adopted several of the other cubs and kept them safe until we were far enough away to seperate. THey went in search of their families and I in search of a place to call my own. I knew I wouldn't find my family again. It was inevitable..." She looked at Tezztor and shrugged again. "My honor died with the last Twoleg I killed. I met Sen while I was struggling through some brambles after a rabbit that got away from me. I was starving and I hadn't seen another fur like me since my cubs left.."

A black cat lay curled up on the branch of a spruce tree. She purred happily as the comforting wind blew past her.
'Finally, some relaxation, NYA!' Nintai thought.
'Yeah, whatever...I'm so bored let me out so I can have some fun!'
Nintai frowned, but made no other movements. '...No, I won't let you out to go kill people as you please. The last thing I need is more horrifying images of you slaughter people...just because you have no conscience doesn't mean I don't get effected by what you do..'
'Tch, you're just a weak excuse for a furson...it's not my fault you can't handle a little blood....'

Sen sighed, speaking these memories making a small lump come to his throat. Regardless, he continued.
"About 6 months later, my father was killed during an expedition by a group of people who were after the tome he found... He left his entire estate to me, as well as all his belongings. I was struck hard... I still managed to take my grieving and sorrow and turn it into something productive... I mastered my Kendo classes, and many forms of self-defense. As I looked through my father's vast library, I saw the tome hidden among the books. I looked through it, reading a single passage out loud, and then the rest of the room seemed to fade out of existence... the book started to glow, as though there were light emanating from the page... I don't remember what the book said to me, but upon its pages showed a tree that looked as though it were from a children's fairy tale... I knew at that moment that I needed to go to that tree.
"Within the next 3 days, I gathered everything I needed for an expedition of my own. A katana strapped to my backpack, as well as my backpack stuffed with my sleeping bag, canteen, extra food, etc, I left. Over many months of travel on paw, I made it to the peak of a mountain, where the tree was located. The moment I laid my paw upon it, I felt as though energy were coursing through my very being. Everything turned to white. I remember waking up next to the tree with my back and shoulders feeling like they were going to snap under my shirt, I slashed away at it with my claws. My shirt falling away, I saw that I had large, angelic wings. I flew home after that.
"I continued to read through the tomes and scrolls my father brought home from his journeys, mastering the light arts and spells, the a little bit of dark magic and spells... Before long, I had the power to form crystal from nowhere, as well as heal, enter and telepathically communicate with peoples' minds, and control different types of vines. I'm still learning new spells at the moment. I decided that I no longer needed to own my father's estate, so I sold it, keeping only his many many books he owned. I moved out here, and decided to live here among nature."

'Hey, Nintai can you feel that spirit energy? It's huge.'
I stood up on the branch and looked to the ground. "Yeah, who could miss it....and it's not to far off either..." I jumped lithely from the tree and landed on all fours. As soon as I landed, without sparring a second I took off running. Gracefully I hopped over anything that obscured my path. I immediately came to a halt and jumped into the safety of a mighty oak tree when I heard voices. I lay low on a branch, concealed by the leaves as I listened to what Ibelieved to be a male furson speaking.
'Could he be the one I sensed....'
'It's hard to tell with these other furs standing so close to him. All their spirit energies seem to blend together, making it impossible to distinguish who's spirit energy belongs to who...'

"Along with just living here, I guard this forest from all those who have ill intent towards those who inhabit it. I've tracked down my fathers' murderers, and avenged him by my blade. His soul is now at rest, so my being is, as well. Then again, being here for the past 115 years can be quite redundant... It's nice to see a new anthro here."

'Well...it doesn't look like he would do any harm...so we should lea-'
"NYAAAA!!" Nintai shrieked as the branch she was on broke and she fell into the brushes below.
'Kuso!! You baka!! You just gave us away!! Can't you do anything right!!'
Nintai huffed and ignored Asim as she tried to stand up. "MeOW!" She mewed in pain from her front left paw. 'Well this is just wonderful...'

Sens ears perked up, hearing a cry of pain nearby from the east. Without a word, he walked away from the fire and the 2 furs with him, running through the trees towards the source of the sound.
"Who's there? Are you alright?"

Tezztor jumped up and hissed at the new arrival, baring his teeth. "Whoss there? Show yourself now!" Tezztor looked back at Sam then back at the forest where the noise came from. He doesn't like being snuck up on. A scent upon the air caught his attention and he made his way torward it custiously.

"NYAA!!" Nintai jumped when she heard the same male voice from before behind her. She turned and backed up, albeit a little clumsily on three legs. She looked up at him, he was tall, but then again at the moment she was only a small black cat.

Sen kneeled down by the small cat, offering a paw, ears down to the side. "Are you alright? What happened?"

Tezztor eases when he notices Sen tending to he creature and turns back and walks back to the campire. "Foolissh cat, not wise to ssneak up on people" He sits down and pokes the fire with a stick. "You sshouldn't blame yourself for what others do to you. Don't look back to fault what you could've done, instead plan for what you could do in the future. " he says to Sam. A feeling of pity came over him seeing the pain that obviously afflicts her. He could not fathom what she feels.

"Err....uhh....I sorta....fell out of the tree...the I was on branch gave away and dislocated my wrist, nya" She said nervously.
'...Kuso....My time limit is up....' Nintai backed away further, until she hit the base of the tree.
'Oh no!' She thought as she began glowing a blinding white. After the bright light had disappeared a furry with light black fur sat hold her left wrist. She wearing a dark black body suit resembling a bathing suit without straps and a long gray skirted belt that covered one half. She had black boots that reached below her knees on and long black gloves. Her silver hair was waist long and covered one of her dark green eyes.
"...Well looks like my time limit has come to an end. At least now I can heal my wrist." Nintai mused to herself as her right hand began to glow. A sickening cracking noise was heard as her wrist was forced back into place again. "Ahhh!! Heh, still hurts like hell even if you use healing magic to fix it..." I laughed painfully and stood up. "The name's Nintai, I'm glad to know you're someone who is kind," I smiled and held out my hand to the furson in front of me.

Sen took her paw, his tail-tip twitching a little bit, shaking his paw slowly. "Nice to meet you, Nintai. My name is Sen. What exactly just happened...?

"Umm, well I was in my feral form a moment ago and I sensed a strong energy here while I was relaxing. I came to check it out to make sure that there wasn't something bad going on. Now I know that the source of this spirit energy is from someone kind-hearted I'm relieved. That means I won't have to fight anyone today." Nintai explained to Sen, still smiling.

Sen smiled at Nintai's comment, shrugging a little bit. "Well, I try and keep peace in the forest. We have a fire ahead, if you'd like to sit down and talk with us. There's 2 others besides me."

Sam shrugged. "I can't help it. I believe it was my fault I was taken to begin with and I always will think it my fault I lost my friends in those experiments." She sighed, staring into the fire as images danced in the flames. Memories from long ago for all to veiw. "I wish they had let me out more..." She slumped into a half sitting posture and continued to watch the flames, mesmerized. Hope glimmered faintly in her eyes then died as the images faded.
One face dragged itself from the fire and grew into a three dimensional head. It was her lab-mate. "Silro..." She murmured, tears streaking down the dark grey fur of her muzzle silently. In the flickering light, she looked much older than in the sunlight. Her tired eyes flicked back and forth worriedly.

"Uh, yeah. I could see them from up there." She pointed to the oak tree she fell out of. "But I would very much like to meet them," Nintai said.
'This kid is to nice...it sickens me.'
'Everything nice sickens you so shut up!! I can't afford to lose my temper, you know what will happen if I do!'
Asim sneered 'Heh, ya I know all to well,'

He peered into the fire as a figure developed amongst the flames. It was something he had only heard of oracles performing. "Was he sspecial to you?" he asked trying to add some kind of input. He scratched his scaley chin in deep thought. "Do you remember where thiss facility or camp is? My people could desstroy it and free the subjects."
A growling deep in his gut snapped Tezztor out of his thought momentarily. He grabbed a few sticks nearby and began to construct a crude cooking spit. "Pleasse go on"

Attica sighed and stretched her ebony feathered wings as she layed back in the cool grass. She put her arms behind her head as she relaxed, and looked up to the sky that was beginning to turn orange-ish from fighting the night sky that was bound to take over in a few hours. She puffed the tuft of dark crimson hair out if her face to clarify her vision of the clouds that seemed to be acquiring a purple undertone as they joined in the fight for day.
Her last few days had been somewhat hectic, escaping an institution that she felt she didn't belong in after she was hit with a heavy sadness of her past along with her recent failure. But she wasn't too worried about running off; she knew as well as everyone else, she'd more than likely return. It was the only place that was even close to being called a home. The only benefit to running off without anyone noticing is that her scolds would be delayed. She, just like anyone else, needed to get away from life every now and then.

She shrugged again. "I guess you could say he was. He loved me and we were really close before they threw him out in a bag as the last experiment. He was here longer than the rest of us...." She let the image fade as another, more detailed one replaced it. This was a human, female. Her eyes were a red color. "Ah, my friend has lived..." She glanced away from it to look at Tezztor. "I do not bore you with my talk?"
Her eyes shifted from flame to forest to creature then back. "I miss my second family. They helped me keep sane while those horrible Twolegged Wingless Things did mean things to us like a water tolereance test, and an oxygen deprivation test." She trembled for a minute as the memories washed over her again. "I hope your tribe finds and destroys it." She growled vehemently. "It's about a half a mile from Sycramor. Eh," She pondered for a second; "A couple miles from the last town in the desert back east."

"Well, then follow me. We'll go meet up with Tezztor and Sam by the fire." Sen replied, turning around and walking forward through the trees. His wings glowed a little bit brighter, his katana moving slightly with each step.
As they reached the clearing, he saw Sam still talking with Tezztor, a spit made over the fire. Noticing the spit, he realized that he was actually quite hungry, due to the fact that he had not had dinner the night before, or breakfast this morning. "Care for something to eat, Nantai?"

Nintai looked up at Sen. Even though she was in her normal form Sen was still a good foot taller than she was. "Yeah, that would be a good idea, I don't think I have eaten at all today," she told him with a small nervous laugh.

Sam's ears flattened to her skull and a snarl ripped through her mouth. Her claws came out and she jumped the fire, glaring at the creature behind Sen. "Who goes there?!" She demanded, the snarl was growing more aggressive and louder. "Sen, what did you do? Don't bring anyone or anything with you ever. You..." She trailed off and relaxed a bit when she noticed Nintai was shorter than Sen and she seemed to be peaceful. "For now, I can let it stay. If I feel it's aggressive, I will silence it."

"Ano, My name is Nintai. I'm sorry if I am a burden to you." Nintai bowed out of habit.
'It!? IT!? How dare she call us an IT! I swear the first thing I do when I get out of here is rip that thing to pieces!!'
'For kami's sake Asim control yourself! I don't want to cause any trouble'
'Oh I'll do more than cause a little trouble...'
'I said shut it!'

She dropped her gaze and turned away. "You're welcome here. I apologise for my assault. I'm a bit jittery this morning." She glanced back and chuckled. "Don't bother with bowing. It's not your fault I'm an @#^." Her shoulders heaved up then grew rigid. "Something else is bothering me, you three." She glanced around again before she crouched closer to the ground, bekoning them to follow. "Something else is here, I smell it. Though it could be my imagination."

Sen nodded to Sam, a slight glare part of his affects, remaining from Sam's last comment. "Sam, if anything else is in this forest, I'm sure it's not of ill intent. If it shows signs of hostility, I'll be sure to take care of it. I live in this forest, care for it, protect it, and all those who inhabit it. Nothing will change that." Sen looked behind him, smiling at Nantai. "Tezztor, Sam, this is Nantai. She apparently has the power of healing as well as I do. Would anybody like something to eat? I have a crystal-filament net on the bottom of the lake. I can bring it up so then we can have some fish."

"Ah, nice to meet you Tezztor, Sam. And Sam you are not a bad person, you are just worried about your friends. I can respect that." Nintai said before turning to Sen. "And yes, healing is only one small thing I can do but I'm sure it could be helpful in the future. Now I'm not so sure about all of you but not having eaten in a while it's been taxing on me," Nintai smiled nervously and scratched the back of her head.

Sam threw something from her fur at Nintai's feet. "Nice to meet you. Eat. I'll be back in a while. I've got some things to do." She looked at Sen, nodded once and faded into the forest, silent.

'This one really ticks me off!'
'...can't you keep your calm for even a moment...honestly you'll be the death of me...'
"Return safely!!" Nintai called after Sam. After she had disappeared from sight she looked around the small groups makeshift campsite. It was calm, unlike every other she had seen. Her home town was not know for hospitality, it was a cruel place, kill or be killed is what everyone would say. It was nice to be able to relax and not worry about living through the night. Nintai sighed and slumped to the ground underneath one of the trees. She closed her eyes and swayed back and forth listening to the sound of the wind through the trees.
'So peaceful...I hope it lasts for just a little while longer...'

She came across a deer and let it go, annoyed. "I swear that new one is hiding something." She steamed. Her eyes flickered between an angry blue and a dark green...

Sam returned after several minutes, looking much calmer and more in control, carrying a carcass on her shoulder. "Here, I caught us some dinner and skinned it. All we need to do is cook it."

Sen looked up at Sam, tilting his head to the side, widening his eyes a bit, surprised at the large quantity of food that was brought. "I think we're going to need a bigger fire..."

Nintai opened her eyes and stood up. "Hai, no problem." She smiled and pointed her index finger at the fire. The flame immediately flared up twice it's original size.
"Fire, is only one of the two elements I have control over." Nintai's smile grew wider as she sat back down.

Sen opened his eyes a little bit wider, looking at the growing flame, then back at Nintai. "That's interesting... Maybe you could teach me how to do fire sometime..." Sen said, his ear swiveling on his head, facing to west, hearing somefur there. Sen shrugged, letting the furson be. They'll come when they're ready.

"It's not as simple as learning it....this power is within my blood. I have a few more tricks up my sleeve, but you'll find out what they are in time." Nintai said with a small giggle then sighed. She held out her hand in front of her, forming a small ball of a blueish-green flame. A small grin made it's way onto her features as she passed her fingers through the oddly colored flame.

Tezztor nodded at the arrival of Nintai, almost a bit too focused on the cooking of the deer meat on the spit.
"Welcome creature" he said with as much honesty as he could muster, she was after all spying on them. He thought for a moment and stood up stretching his  legs. "You wordss do not bore me at all Sam, when I get back to my tribe I'll be sure to have them desstroy the foul people you mentioned." He turned to inspect the new addition to their little party. She reminded him on a feline tribe near the outskirts of his peoples territories.
Tezztor looked at Sen and then back at the fire. "You ssaid you had fish? That would be enjoyable. Perhapss then we could see this cave and tome you mentioned. It would be safer for the night as well"

Nintai closed her hand around the strange flame, making it disappear. "....Tezztor I've never seen your kinda before...just what exactly are you?" She asked curiously.

Tezztor looked at Nintai as she asked her question, "I'm a Raptor of the Ne'taku tribe. We also have lizardine and minor draconic traitss. We reside in the marshes of Adarzine most do not venture within our borderss." He smiled pridefully at his answer as he is extremely proud of his heritage.
He thought for a moment. "Ssometimes I feel like a rarity when I travel beyond the borders, the world is filled with many creaturess most nothing like me"

Sam's eyes turned bright green and she smiled at Tezztor. "Thank you. I extend my invitation for you to spend the night in my den, all of you. It slides closed at night and does not open unless you wish it to."

Sen shrugged, tilting his head to the side. "I guess we could all stay at Sam's tonight. I could make beds for anybody who needs them. Who knows. Tonight could be fun. It's still pretty early in the day. What would everybody like to do?"

Tezztor pondered the question. " I don't really know thiss area well enough to suggest any activities. Perhapss one of you two know something we can do." He looked about the forest for anything that could be done.

She looked about, her tail twitching. She turned to nintai and spread her earlier concealed wings; working the kinks out slowly as they made small winds that cooled her down. "Ooh... That's much better." She folded them back up and let the black on black blend in; except for the red veins in her wings. Sam smiled at Tezztor's response. "We could look for food for the evening and hole up in my den. I have games and such for when Sen comes over."

Sen looked over at Sam, twitching an ear. "Why go inside? It's such a nice day out, it seems like a waist... I've been working on the aerodynamics of my crystal, and I believe I've worked out how to give someone control of artificial wings that I make... I'll be like a safety net to anybody that's willing to try it out..."

Tezztor looks at Sen puzzled. "Artificial wingss? How do they work?"

Nintai now lay on her stomach, listen to the others with her eyes shut. Her light black tail was swaying elegantly back and forth. It continued to do so until Sen mentioned Artificial wings, her tail stood frozen in place and Nintai was now looking at Sen with one eye open. "Artificial wings? How...could you make them..." There was a slight edge in Nintai's voice, it was a slight hint of fear.

Attica's ear twitched catching bits of conversation. It was murmured and she could not make out any words. She sat up and looked in the direction that the sounds were coming from across the body of water and saw the dim glow of a fire. Immediately, her thoughts raced, debating on whether or not to approach. Her devilish appearance might strike the others as hostile.. She stood, then shot into the air, accidentally rustling some of the leaves on the trees around her.

"Well, I've mastered the ability to make different types of crystals, and I could form some crystal into-" Sen stopped mid-sentence, turning around, catching a flash of red and black fly through the trees out of the corner of his eye. He then turned back to the group, saying, "...could you excuse me one moment?" Without waiting for a reply, Sen jumped up running off to a small open space among the trees, spreading his wings wide, flying straight up, looking around for whatever he saw.

Attica stopped in midair sensing that she wasn't alone, though not seeing what might be following her. She looked around, scanning the area with her yellow eyes only seeing the group that she assumed she heard resting temporarily by a fire. Quickly, she rolled in the air, folding her wings around her in order to dive into a patch of trees, hoping it was good enough for cover to lose whatever it was. The trees rustled as she initially entered and landed on a limb as her large feathered wings melded into her back until they were just black markings in the shape of tribal wings. She looked up to see a white wolf with glowing feathered wings above her, yet she couldn't tell if she was seen or not. Idiot! You should have approached on foot and you know it! she chastised in her mind.

Nintai relaxed a bit. What she heard sounded a lot like something the one person she hoped to never meet up with again would do...Experimenting and creating new technology or even creatures...He frighten her so much...the one who gave her life...the one who created...she feared more than anything in this world.
'...R-ridiculous to think...he could have possibly found me...that he could possibly be here...I've got to get a grip!'

Tezztor snuck up and grabbed the demon bringing it face to face and snarled "What iss your business here. Just give me a reason." Furious he bared his teeth at the invader. "Thiss is getting to be quite rediculouss" He noticed Sen land nearby and dropped the demon to the ground. "If found him hiding here, seems a bit ssuspicious. He couldn't hide his sscent"

Attica struggled to get out of the reptile's grip; but it was worthless until he dropped her, but by the time he dropped her, instinct had taken over. She had already tapped into her dark energy and it had caused the limb she'd been on snap into splinters and the flames of the fire to turn black. The same black aurora glowed around her eyes and fists as she stood up, ready to fight if she was attacked. "Why must I state my purpose here? It is not your land, and I do not need to justify my reasons to you." She answered defensively, not intending to hurt anyone.. Attica only concentrated on keeping control of her powers after she felt like she almost lost it when the limb shattered.

Tezztor growled back at the demon. "Your magicss do not scare me demon. But if you going to ssneak up on somebody make sure you don't get noticed" He had no fear of any magic. His people are naturally protected. Still he didn't want to attack he might anger his new friends who call this place their own.

Sen walked forward to the new being, his eyes glowing white, holy crystal forming over his paws. "You're right. It's not his land. It's mine. What brings you here? If it is for a fight, then I won't leave you disappointed... I refrain from fighting, using violence only when necessary. If you choose to bring chaos and disorder upon this land, then I will not hesitate to stop you."

Nintai shook herself from her stupor and returned to reality when she heard Tezztor walk off. It sounded like he was talking to someone, or more threatening them. She stood up and walked in the direction of the voices she heard. "...Hey umm guys what's....going....on....." Nintai's voice trailed off when she saw the strangers limb shatter and the glowing black aura around her. "Nya! What in kamis' name happened!?" Nintai shrieked, falling to the ground in shock.

Sen glanced back at Nintai, right as she collapsed. "Tezztor! Tend to Nintai! Bring her back to the fire, and make sure she's okay." He commanded, still facing the new being.

"First off, I have no interest in wreaking havoc to anything for the time being. Secondly, I am not a full-fledged demon." Her black feathered wings unfurled from behind her back. "My mother was a half-breed angel." She allowed her guard to drop, the auroras subsiding as she did so and the flames turning back to their original color. Her eyes caught the approaching fur that was behind Tezztor as the feline collapsed.

"Hey! I'm not unconscious here! It just...just took me by surprise is all...and I can take care of myself...." Nintai muttered stubbornly as she stood back up, brushing herself off.

Sen listened to the new half-demon's words, slowly letting the crystal fade from his paws, his eyes returning to normal. "I'm glad that you mean no harm. My name is Sen." He offered a paw of friendship, looking the new fur in the eyes. "What might your name be?"

She took the wolf's hand and shook it; feeling odd with her having less fingers than her shaker, but nevertheless getting the message across. "My name's Attica. I'm sorry I acted to rashly, Sen.. But I'm kind of escaping my own life for a few days if you know what I mean, so I've been on the edge. Also being grabbed from behind didn't help my nerves any." She looked back to Tezztor. "I bluff before I fight; so I didn't mean to startle anyone if I did.."

"Hmm, well it's nice to know you have no ill-will towards us. My name's Nintai, I'm the newest around here...nice to meet you Attica." Nintai said with a smile.
'Half demon huh? Well that's something you don't see every day...'
'You're one to talk...I don't even know for sure what I am...'
'That's obvious...WE are a black cat...'
'....no...we only have the appearance of one....'

"It's a pleasure to be of your acquaintance, Attica. Would you like to join us at our fire?"

"If you won't hold my father's Heritage against me." She folded her wings back, and they turned into markings once again. "To be technical, I'm more demon than angel. My father was a full fledged demon.. Not a half breed." She followed the wolf and nodded Nintai as if to acknowledge her presence. "Which means I love a good dose of Chaos and destruction; just, not right now."

Tezztor looked around the forest and sniffed for scents before returning to the fire. When he arrived he saw Sen talking to the demon. "Demonss have always been a enemy of my people. We owe a a great deal of pain to their rankss for the foul magics they have used against us. It is because of them we have grown such a resisstance to magic" He eyed the demon again mistrustngly before tending to the cooked meat on the spit.

Sam looked the half demon over and stood, stretching her black and red wings out. "Welcome, Attica, to our humble gathering. Where do you hail form?" She was smirking as she getstured to the meat still roasting on the spit. "I mean you no harm. Half demon, half angel eh? Complex mix." She chuckled and held out her black paw. The dark crimson pads were barely visible. "Hungry? I can go fetch more food if we need it. So what brings you here?"

"No need, Sam. I bring up the fish that are in the net at the bottom of the lake if need be. Then again, I doubt we'll need any. The huge deer you brought in should be more than enough." Sen said, smiling a bit. One ear moved behind him, listening to the leaves rustle from the movement of the new fur hiding among the branches. "And whoever you are, hiding in the trees, you're welcome to join us for something to eat." He called, not turning around, smiling a little bit wider.

Her ears flattened again, listening to the rustling of the wind in the branches of an oak tree a few yards away. "Eh, hem." She lowered her eyes to the ground, moving to put the fire between hersefl and the rustling. "Things just keep popping up here." >.< She made a face and pumped her wings back and forth slowly. "I don't like how so many things keep sneaking up on us to bite us in the bud." She growled, turning to glance at Attica and Nintai. "No offence meant, girls." She sighed.

A fennec fox cub mewed, trembling in the bushes under Sam's intense gaze. It mewed again and cautiously poked it's head out.

"Personally, I kind of like it. There haven't been this many furs here at once in a very long time. It's quite intriguing. Who knows; maybe some other people will come along and join us!" Sen said, sitting down by the fire. "I think the meat's almost cooked."

It's amber eyes watched Sam and Sen then it rocketed out to cling to Sam. It mewed again, digging its' claws in her thigh gently.

She yelped and looked down, growling. "There better be a good reason why you're on my leg, Syracues. I'm not in the mood for playtime." She snarled, reaching down to pry the small creature off her leg and cuddle it to her chest. "Are there any more of you?"
It shook its head, snuggling to her neck. "Master." It barked.

Attica nodded to the other wolf. "I know not of what my father's people have done to yours, Reptile. I've known neither of my parents since I was supposedly banished to Earth. I only know I am what I am because the mortal who raised me let me know when I was ten years of age." Her tail swayed as she spoke and watched the flames as they danced along the brush that fueled their elegance. "I come from an institution. It's more or less my home, but I have to escape sometimes to get away from reality."

Sam growled at the fox and cuddled it closer, "Syracues, you better not be lying to me." She swung toward Attica. "Meet Syracues. He's kind of a spy." She tickled his chin and lifted him up to see all the other furs in turn.
Syracues blinked in the firelight and struggled to jump out of Sam's arms and into Attica's. He barked frustratedly. "Angel. Want." He growled, nipping her arms.

Attica, surprised by the Fennec's actions, almost instinctively shoved him off of her lap, but stopped in respect of Sam. "Angel want?" she asked, not quite understanding what he meant.

He glowered at Sam and jerked his head at Attica. "Angel. Demon." He barked again.
Sam rolled her eyes and sat across from Attica. "He means he wants you to talk to him. Tell him what you wouldn't or can't tell us. He is a secret-keeper. A spy too..." She scratched the foxs' ears fondly. "He's to watch over all of you. It's his job."
He nodded, yipping happily and wagging his short tail. "Yes, yes. Want, Angmon. Demal. Is pretty." He nudged Attica's hands, purring softly.
She smiled at Syracues. "He likes you. That's a good thing. He normally doesn't take well to others..."

Tezztor took the spit from the fire and sniffed in the delightful aroma. "Finisshed finally, feel free to grab there iss plenty of deer meat to go around" He tears a piece off and nibbles at it, relishing the taste.
Between bites he keeps an eye on Attica. "I can't be ssure if our enemies are of your ilk, I'd hate to accuse you of something your family has not taken place in. I know my people are often blamed for many things we don't do." He ponders his status and a raptor assassin. "Maybe some that we DO do" He smiled mischieviously

Attica scratched behind his ears as she saw Sam do. "No secrets for you, I'm afraid." She looked over to the raptor as he ate. "I know nothing of my family, so I'd be unable to tell you about what they have and haven't been involved in. I see occasional signs from my mother, but my father doesn't know I'm alive." She felt odd in the group, not really having a species or clan to belong to. "And flattering won't get you anywhere," she smiled at Syracues.

She chuckled and scratched his ears again. "Eh, I'll be right back." She walked up to Tezztor and took some of the deer meat, bringing it over to offer some to Attica and Syracues. "Meh...I'm at a loss for what to do for tonite. I'd like to spend the evening at your place but I've got things t watch over, Sen."
He looked up at her and smiled. "Flatter? No. I compliment. Demal is pretty. No lie. You smell nice too." He beamed up at her porudl, flicking his tail as his purr grew louder. "Right Master? She pretty?"
Sam snapped her attention to the fennec and smiled. "Yes, Attica is very pretty. Now be a dear and go find Saras. I imagine she'll be around the lakebed somewhere." She smirked and fed him a small peice of the deer meat; turning to speak with Attica. "He's a bit of a nosy little fox. Cute though, isn't he?"

"I suppose if you call things cute." She also wasn't used to feeling emotions toward certain things, but it was not out of rudeness; it was her demonic nature. She looked at the others, somewhat curious. "So what are your names? So far I only know Sen and Nintai."

"The lizard is Tezztor, I'm Sam. The little fox in your lap is Syracues, and..." She paused; "I think that's all." She swung her head to Sen. "Am I missing anyone?"

Tezztor stood up and went to his pack and pulled a vicious looking tribal knife. The blades along the edges seemed to glow white. He turned and walked back torward the camp. As he moved closer the blades turned blood red. He kneeled down before the fire and offered the blade end into the flames. "My name iss Tezztor, I'm a raptor assassin of the Ne'taku tribe of raptorss"
He peered intently at the blade before him. "The blade is Zenruil. demon's bane" He began chanting in the lizard tongue. When he stoped he removed the blade from the fire and clenched the hot side in his fist tightly, but no blood was wraught. "It iss a artifact of great power. It is searing yet I'm caused no damage. It is a sign of faith for my people to hold the sscorched blade. If you are found to be righteous and true, the blade will causse you no harm. It wass a gift to my people from the gods, we struck down the demon overlord with it in combat. It wass the only time a weapon was used in battle. We'd be sslaves if it weren't for this blade. I killed my guildmaster to obtain it, my right of advancement."
He playfully spun the blade about a bit. "Anybody elsse care to test their faith?"

She glanced at the blade. "I'd rather not."

Attica looked at the blade questioningly. "I don't think so. You said it was demon bane, which means it's got the potential to kill me since I'm technically three fourths demon." She swayed her tail somewhat annoyed at Tezztor's gesture. Demons were never good, and the way her faith always seemed to change, she didn't dare to touch the blade.

The corners of Tezztor's mouth curled up into a smile "Very well" He walks back to the pack and puts the blade back in its sheath. "You have been honored father, continue to watch over me" he murmered to himself quietly. He kneeled there still as stone peering at the sheathed blade for a bit, lost in thought.

While the others chatted amongst themselves Nintai sat in front of the fire, staring into the flame with pure hatred flickering in her eyes. She was no longer paying attention to anything being said or done, she was too busy talking to that annoying voice in the back of her head that was known as Asim.
'You known they're going to find out about me if you stay here too long...'
'I know...'
'And Akuma-san...don't forget about him...he's probably nearly caught up to us now'
'....I know...'
'And-'
'I get it!! For kamis' sake you just love to hear yourself talk!'
'Well, if you know all this then why are you still here! You should have fled when Sen first saw you!'
"...I should have but I didn't and I'm here now. Nothing we can do but see how things turn out...'

Sen, sitting back from the group, observing everyone, sighed softly. Although Tezztor most likely mean any harm by his gesture of a test of purity to Attica, there was still some resentment between the two. Tezztor's kind may have been in a long and terrible battle with the demon race, so it might put a biased imprint on his mind and thoughts. Sam, of course, with her little pets, must've been enjoying them regardless of her annoyed facade. One thing caught Sens eye, though. Looking over at Nintai, he saw that her stare into the dancing fire was filled with total anger and loathing. It was almost as though there were another presence inside her... He would have to talk to her about it later in private...

Attica watched Tezztor carefully as he put away the blade. She didn't quite trust him the way he had tried to get her to touch the demon baned knife. Her eyes flickered a brighter yellow, almost glowing on their own as her anger flared. She hated being judged by appearance and by her species. She could not help her father's heritage, nor her mother's; could not choose who she was. Though her taste for destruction and chaos was much higher than the usual being, it did not mean she was completely bad. The fire flared up higher, almost touching the treetops as her anger steepened.. Her powers going to action without her being aware. When Attica realized what she was doing, she took in a deep breath to relax.
(No offense meant toward you Tezztor, just playing my character. :peek: )

Tezztor stood up and turned back torwards the fire, a solemn look across his scaley face. He seemed lost in thought. He casually walked back and sat down peering at the others taking in their various personalities through their body language. The fire crackled and snapped as if trying to make up for the silence. Each of them seemed to be sizing the others at that very moment. So much diversity its hard not to feel a little tense. He felt a bit of tension torwards him which didn't really suprise him given his races' situation. Most raptor tribes were ignorant and warlike. It gives his tribe a bad reputation despite their efforts to keep the peace and use diplomacy. Often they are attacked on sight.
He couldn't help but wonder if it weren't for Sens presance, would any of the others attack? Scenarios raced through his mind. He looked over at the demon who looked more then angry with him. "Wouldn't be the firsst" he accidently said outloud.
(No worries its just roleplay, I'd be a fool to hold anything against you for it. Besides a little conflict makes things interesting)

Nintai looked up at Tezztor and Attica. Her eyes flickered yellow then back to green so fast it was almost invisible to the naked eye, almost.
'Kuso...I need to go somewhere else for a bit before you get US killed...'
'There's no harm in having a little fun,'
'There is in your case...'
Nintai sighed and stood up. "I'm....going for a walk...I'll be back sooner or later..." She said as she walked deeper into the thick forest. Nintai walked as far as she could get before collapsing to her knees, one of her hands were fisted against her chest. Nintai's breathing was ragged and uneven from the pain swelling up in her chest. "Not....now.......any other time but now..."

Sen thought, realizing this moment as an opportunity to talk to Nintai. He got up from the group around the fire, setting his meat down. "I have to take care of something really quick... enjoy the meat." He said hurriedly, walking briskly after the catgirl venturing through the woods. He noticed that one of her paws was was against her chest. Something tugged at the edge of Sen's mind, telling him that something was wrong. Not a moment after that feeling entered his body, she collapsed to her knees, her labored breathing audible from where he was. They were now well away from the rest of the group.
"Nintai! Are you alright?" Sen called, running up to her and kneeling down next to her, rubbing her back slowly, consolingly. His paw was glowing white, healing magics in use now.

Nintai closed her eyes and tried to breath evenly again. "Sen...I don't want to hurt you...please...go ba--AHHHHH!!" Nintai's hands flew up to her head, clutching the sides. She twisted and withered in pain, screaming the whole while. When her continuous screaming subsided she doubled over limply "...I'm so sorry...if I hurt any of you.....but when I wake up...I...I won't....be........." Nintai's last words tailed off and she fell to her side, unconscious.
'Looks like I win...'

Attica's ears perked as she heard a scream in the distance. She stood and turned toward the woods that seemed to be dark and foreboding, wondering if she should go see what it was, if it was her place... Her wings expanded from her back, becoming their full size; huge, like an angel's. She looked back to Tezztor to see if he'd heard the same scream, and whether or not he'd go into action. Her fists tightened as her tension and anxiousness heightened.

Tezztor stood when he heard the shock, sniffing the air in the direction it came. "The only scent I catch belongss to Sen and Nintai, they might need help" Tezztor runs off in the direction of the scream only to find Sen standing over Nintai who was unconscious. He cautiously surveyed the surrounding area sniffing the air for attackers. "What happened? Did ssomebody attack you?"

"I... don't think she's unconscious, Tezztor..." Sen replied warily, his eyes fixed on Nintai. Her last words made his fur stand on edge a little bit. He took a step back, still looking at Nintai, waiting for what might happen next. Sen thought for a second of her words... "I'm so sorry if I hurt any of you... when I wake up, I won't be..." He restated, immediately realizing what she meant. His ears went back on his head, unsheathing his katana. She had another being or entity inside her. That's where she got her powers from... "Everyone, put out the fire and take the meat and yourselves to Sam's den. You'll be safe there. I'll take care of this."

While Tezztor hates walking away from a fight, he respects Sen enough to trust his judgement. He nods before he runs back to the camp. When there he puts out the fire and encourages the others to goto Sam's den. "Sen inssisted we goto Sam's den for our safety. Ssomebody grab the meat"

Attica waited for Tezztor to return, and when he did, he tried to encourage everyone to leave to Sam's Den. Being the Demon she was, she was never quite good with taking orders without questions. "Why? What's going on?" she asked, still a little wary of the raptor since he offered her the blade. "I'm not going anywhere unless it's for good reason. I can take care of myself."

Tezztor sneered. "I didnt order anything demon, Sen requessted that we go there for whatever reasons. I'm ssure they are good enough or he wouldn't mention them. To be honesst I don't like the thought of running from a fight everybody seems to mistake me for a weakling becausse I don't fly or have magical power. But I won't ignore reason to foolissh pride" Tezztor grabbed his pack of the ground and slung it over his back and made his way to Sam's den.

Unsteadily Nintai sat herself up. She opened her eyes, now an eerie yellow instead of their normal dark green. Her gaze immediately went to the unsheathed katana pointed at her. "Aww, now what's this...I've just awakened and I'm already being labeled as the bad guy. I find that a little prejudice." Nintai smirked and stood up. "I'm so disappointed. I expected better from you...Sen"

*the fox awakes in a strange cave. this is not were he was supposed to be. he arises from the cavern floor and walks into a brightly lit clearing surrounded by towering pine trees. he was hungry and geussed he was out of it for a while. he left the relative safety of the small cave to searchn the forest for food and water.*

"Well, after a while of being the guardian of a forest, 'Nintai', you tend to be able to tell who is good and who is bad... which hearts are pure and which are tainted with evil and darkness..." Sen said softly, his eyes narrowed, looking into Nintai's yellow eyes. "You aren't the fur that you were when you joined us... Who are you?"

Mei chuckled darkly and jumped up, staying afloat mid-air. "Oh I'm no different then before. I was here to begin with. You see I'm Nintai's...other half if you will. We're like two parts of the same person..." She leaned back and placed her hands behind her head as if she was lying on the ground. "The name's Mei by the way," She looked at Sen and smirked devilishly. "And you should get used to it, 'cause you'll be seeing a lot more of me,"

"Well, Mei, regardless of you being Nintai's other half, I still expect the same thing from you. If you cause harm or wish to fight, I will not hesitate to stop you." Sen declared, staring straight into Mei's eyes, his stance steeled, ready for anything that might happen.

"Right, no causing chaos" Mei said in a dull tone, using air quotes with the words "causing chaos". With a sigh she brought herself up right and suddenly disappeared, re-appearing next to Sen. She had her arm resting on his shoulder, though her feet still didn't reach the ground below. "And just to let you know. None of these abilities come from me, or Nintai. We have these because of....because we...." Mei pushed away from Sen, agitated that she couldn't say anything about her origins. The words were literally being choked back. "...She really must not want anyone to know at all...what an idiot..." She scoffed.

"Mei, let Nintai come out. I'm sure that after we all shared our origins, we're curious as to what hers are." Sen stated, sheathing his katana and crossing his arms. "I'd like to know where you two came from."

The smirk that was plastered to her face disappeared and was replaced with a scowl. "What do you think I was trying to tell you! She's the one who won't let me say anything about it!" Mei growled at him. She lowered herself to the ground and walked a few steps away then stopped in her tracks. There was a long silent pause before Mei finally turned around "Fine....I've had a enough time to stretch my legs, but next time I'm back I won't be as kind as I was today..." Mei closed her eyes for a second, re-opening them they were a dark green again.
"...I guess we don't experience any pain if we switch willingly..." Nintai muttered before looking at Sen. "...I know all of you have shared your stories and it's only fair I do to...so I'll tell you this. I am an only child. I only have my 'father' but I'm not related to him by blood and he's....well I guess you could say he's abusive....in more way that one..." Nintai couldn't look a Sen when she was saying this so she was looking at the ground. "When I was growing up I was never allowed outside, until the day Mei had enough and took control. That was the day I ran away from my 'home' and I have been running ever since..." When she was done Nintai turned away from Sen. Her nails dug into her now crossed arms.
'I feel absolutely horrible. How could I all say that!'

"Hmm..." Sen started, thinking for a bit. "Multiple personality invoked by extreme trauma, torture, and multiple type of abuse... It seems like a likely result of all that you've been through, Nintai..." Sen took a couple steps closer to her, putting his paw on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry you had to deal with such a terrible father... If I were him, I would've done the same thing... But you're safe here, Nintai. If he comes here, you have my word that he will be put down like the sick sadistic bastard he is..."
Sens last words had a touch of aggression added, his tone cutting like the sharp edge of his blade. His thumb rubbed over up her neck a little bit, stroking through her fur a little bit. "It's going to be okay..."

Nintai bit her lip and shrugged away from Sen. "No, please don't...no no no...I can't do this...."
'Don't do it you'll regret it!'
"I can't....I feel horrible lying about it!"
'It's true for the most part....you just left out the details now CAN IT BEFORE YOU REGRET IT!!'
"No, I can't. I can't tell you but I can't let you try and comfort me for some lie I told you! I would feel horrible misleading anyone....." Nintai paused. She was chewing on her fingers for a long while before she sighed in defeat. "....ok....you may not believe me but I would feel better if you know....the whole truth....I have no siblings...and I am not related to my father in anyway. I had NO parents...I CAN'T have a blood relative...I wasn't created naturally." She took a deep breath before continuing, but her voice wasn't sad or angry. It was just calm. "I'm this crazy experiment that some sick guy created. He makes dolls, and he wanted to make one that could think for itself that had emotions like any other furson. He wanted the perfect doll for him. I was his 'perfect' doll...a thing....a possession....a freak. Everything was great except for something in the development stages went wrong and 'I' became a 'we'. I lived in a lab....with a...horrible sick sadistic man....so I nearly killed him and ran." Nintai sighed and flopped to the ground, she felt like she could no longer stand. Her eyes were shut and she tilted her head towards the sky, a light smile on her face. "I feel so much better telling you the truth....but I so so sorry....I probably put all of you in danger...."

Attica was still by herself in the clearing, tense, unsure of what to do. One side of her brain told her to march into the woods to see what was going one, while the other half tried to prevent her from doing so by telling her to go to Sam's Den. She sighed and turned around to see that the fire was dying; the embers slowly flickering and smoldering in defeat. Her wings melded back into her back, merely markings, and she sat on the ground directly by the fire, grabbing an ember and holding it in her hand. The benefits of being a demon was that you never got burned, unless something you touched was blessed or specially designed to be your death. She looked up to the sky, bored, but also curious as to what had happened with Nintai.. But her thoughts were ripped from her as they diverted to her parents.

The sound of water gently shuffling in the wind serenaded the rustling of leaves overhead as Tezztor walked about the lake torwards Sam's den. "Fool," he said fustrated. "You are sshamed for running from battle." He paused and kicked the dirt and thought about why he was asked to retreat. "These winged beasts think little of you, they look down upon you Tezztor. They all reek of magicss." The wind picked up for a moment as if foreboding. He looked back and saw the fire with Attica and Sam still sitting near it. "Even they did not cower and run. How could I do thiss?" he pondered. A feeling he is not used to crept over him, a feeling of sorrow and resentment. Shame was not something he took very well.
Fury swept over him, he found his teeth bared in anger. "Look at them, comforting themselvess to my fire. All have ignored your warning. I will not be your fool thiss time!" he flamed and started making his way back to the camp.

Sam was yanked out of her moment of peace by a scream. She snapped her head towards the sound and picked Syracues up. Cuddling him to her protectively, she spread her wings and flew to the lip a few meters down from her den. Her eyes flared a brilliant blue then returned to normal. "You've got work to do. Now go up there and start working." She ordered herself, scaling the rock face silently. The sun was almost set, giving her little time to finish what she had started the day before. She set Syracues down, patting his head fondly, and flicked her tail impatiently.
"This is going to be a long night, hun. Are you ready?" She asked herself, smiling at the thought of all those furs actually accepting her. The smirk disappeared as she surveyed the damage she'd done previously. She sighed, setting about brooming the floor and rearranging her trinkets. She stepped bac kto check them and nodded. "Now the others."

Sen kneeled down by Nintai, looking at her, happy that the truth has been revealed, and that she was strong enough to bask in the light of revealing her past. "I'm glad that you told me the truth, Nintai. It must've taken a lot of inner strength to fight Mei into submission to let you speak..." He said softly, ears down a little bit. Maybe it's that since you were during your 'development stages', you were already developed, and while part of you wanted to obey and submit yourself to your creator's wishes, your other side that had free will must've been so strong that it found a way to be apart from your own personality, taking form as Mei. She was the one that fought back, and you've been able to survive with her ever since... You must learn to be stronger, and gain control over her again, Nintai."

Nintai looked at Sen for a moment then smiled. "I guess that could be a theory but really all I'm worried about is leading him here....he's been tracking me and I may have put everyone in danger." Her smiled faded and she rested her head on the palm of her hand. "Maybe I'll be lucky and lost him over the mountains...." she murmured.

"Nintai, you have nothing to worry about. Those who take refuge in this forest are well protected from anything or anyone that might come in here trying to cause harm to others. You can be sure of that. I will defend this forest and its inhabitants to the death. Then again, being 'immortal' usually helps..." Sen replied, his voice strong with determination.

After twenty minutes of cleaning with no breaks, the place looked beautiful. All her trinkets and souvineurs(?) were placed neatly on their shelves, gleaming; her books were dusted, laying in odd piles around the room; and the cushions were arranged in a circle, with the bed in the middle. Her wings flexed impatiently. "Where did they go?" She thought for a minute then slapped her forehead. "Moron! They're on their way and some of em don't even know where you live!" She growled and walked over to the entrance, placing an odd shaped chrystal near the opening.

"I suppose that would help," Nintai said as she stood up. "Anyway, one thing is for sure. I would rather die that go back to that god forsaken laboratory...." After brushing the dirt off herself Nintai spoke again. "I'm sorry about all the commotion...I think we should get back to the others soon,"

"Sounds like a good idea. We should head back to the fire and put it out, and then head back to Sam's den." Sen agreed, shrugging a bit. He started through the trees back to the make-shift fire ring.

"Right." Nintai walked behind Sen to the makeshift fire pit. She walked over to the fire and waved her palm over it, making it disappear. After wards she kicked some dirt into the pit just to be certain the fire was out. "Part of me is actually grateful to my creator for these powers. Now that that's done we should head out for Sam's....but I don't know where that is...."

Attica was spaced; unaware of the two's presence until the fire before her was put out. Quickly, she stood to her feet, a little irate with Nintai for putting out the fire. She threw down the coal she had been holding, long since gone out and asked, "So what did I miss?"

Nintai looked over at Attica "...Sen and I were just talking...it's nothing really. We were just about to make our way to Sam's den...."

"Humm." Attica said, not quite believing the story, but not poking her nose any further in order to stay respectful. "Does anyone even know where her den is? I know Tezztor headed that way, but I stayed behind in case something went wrong."

"Umm, well....I really have no idea....I barely know my way around here....do you know where to go Sen?" Nintai asked him.

She looked around and crawled back down the rock face. She grinned, spreading her wings to soar over where the fire had been. "Hey guys!" She called, crashing ot the ground clumsily with a small smirk on her face. "The Den's this way."

Tezztor stops in his tracks when he hears a voice call. He turns to see the origin and notices it was Sam calling to the others. "Now they wanna go, when I'm away." He squinted his eye in anger. He look back torwards the campfire and notices Nintai up and well amongst them. "What foul trickery iss this? A moment ago we were warned to get away. Ssomething is not right." He kneeled in front of the water surveying the land around Sam's den, deciding to keep an eye on what they do.

She noticed Tezztor and the smirk vanished. She walked over calmly, folding her wings to her sides. "What's wrong? You seem a little moody." She thought for a minute and shrugged. "But who am I to judge eh? I haven't even known you a full twenty-four hours." She looked back at the group and her face clouded with a mixture of emotions. "I wonder how you will react to my place. Hm..."

Tezztor peered at Sam sizing her up. When she asked her question he thought carefully how to answer it. "I feel as if I'm being mislead. Why ask me to retreat from battle, then bring her back to the campfire. It sseems odd to me." He paused for a moment judging her reply. Her compassion put him a bit at ease. "I don't like retreating from a fight its cowardly, sshameful to my people." he said sorrowfully. He was in a place he didn't like mentally. The situation put him in a bad mood.

"Ah, I see. Well, why don't you follow me to my humble home a bit earlier than them and we'll chat before Sen leads them there or I leave to bring em up, hm?" She noticed him sizing her up and the smile returned. "I'm no enemy, if you're worried about that. And I'm also just as confused as you. I just hope Sen knows what he's doing. Sometimes I think he's as clueless as I." She chuckled a little. "By the way, leaving a fight is more courageous than staying to finish one. It means you're the better man."

Tezztor ponders her words for a moment before responding. "You are a wise one, you'd fit right in amongsst the oracles of my tribe" The thought forced a mental picture in his mind and he couldn't help but smile. "Well, mentally anywayss" He looked across the water a bit torwards her den. "Lead on. Forgive me for doubting. It iss my nature to assume the worst, it is how I survive." That wasn't the complete reason but at the risk of insulting her friends, he decided to keep his mouth shut.

Sen looked over at Sam as she called out, then landed awkwardly. He thought about going to help her, but he knew that she was more than capable to hold her own. He returned his vision to Nintai and Attica, shrugging a bit. "Well, if you'll just follow me, I'll be happy to bring you back to her den."
Sen started forward along the edge of the lake, looking out to the West. The sun was setting, casting an orange glow to reflect off the glassy lake surface from behind the clouds. He sighed softly, happy that so many new people were at his forest, keeping him and Sam company. As he walked, he made a thin, dull-gray crystal shard about 8 inches long and proceeded to twirl it through his fingers. He glanced back over his shoulder at the two, smiling a bit more. "You coming?"

Nintai was staring between a pair of trees into the darkness of the forest, in almost a defensive stance. When she heard Sen she shook her head and walked over. "Uh, yeah....." She said while giving one last look between the same trees before following behind Sen to Sam's.

She smiled widely. "You're going the wrong way to begin with." She laughed softly, moving to lead him around the fire and up the hill a few feet into the forest. The trees rustled reassuringly ad her tail flicked in rhythm. "It's up this hill, down to the crater and up the steep rock. Then I have to fly you the rest of the way there. That ok with you?" Her laugh was soft. "You think so? I never fit in with any tribe I came across so naturally I assumed I was a mistake. I would very much like to meet your family one day. Maybe you can even meet my adopted ones." She chuckled, stopping at the crest of the hill, looking around slowly. "Clear. Hurry now."

Tezztor raced after her, following her to her den. When she mentioned it he thought for a moment before replying. "It iss possible, all of the oracles of my people are femaless. I hear it everywhere but I guess itss true, women are the brains and men are the brawn.'A feeling of pride came over him as he spoke of his tribe, he really respected and thought the world of them. Though most will only ever see one of two of them at most as only assassins and hunters really ever leave their territories unless its a war. "Thiss place of yours is really secluded.' He mentioned

Sen ran up the hill at the sound of Sams voice, eyes opening wide as he reached the top. He looked over at Sam, ears laid back on his head. "Last I remember, your den was near the lake... How did it end up over here...?" Sen asked, puzzled by the new remote location of her den.

Attica watched as the others followed Sam to her den. She felt awkward around the three, especially the reptile. She could tell that he didn't really approve of her ways or her attitude. She wondered whether to follow or not... She felt useless and mistrusted already. She supposed they had good reason... After all, she was part demon. She worried for their safety as well; her taste for chaos grew, making her powers extra edgy and hard to control. It would eventually end up like a soda can under too much pressure.. And the last time that had happened outside of the institution, lives were taken..

Nintai was about to run off with the others when she noticed Attica wasn't following and stopped. "Hey Attica aren't you coming?" She asked her, curious as to why she would separate herself from the rest of the group.

Yeah, aren't you? she teased as if her hunger was a separate entity. She knew it wasn't. That cold voice was her own. "..I guess so." She said as she began to walk in the direction the others had disappeared in. She wondered how long she could keep her powers at bay.

Sam shrugged. "It's another way to get there and I feel more at ease with others in the forest than near the lake. Just trust me. And whoever has wings has to fly the others the rest of the way up." She began carefully climbing the rock facing the lake, a smile plastered on her face.

Nintai looked at Sam "...F-fly!?....I can't fly.....well I can if.......errr...I mean I can't! I can't fly! B-but there is a way I can....though I really don't want to ask for her help at the moment because I have no idea what would happen and-" Nintai paused to breathe. She was talking so fast she didn't realize she was out of breath.
'Oh good going Nintai....now you're screwed for sure....'

She laughed softly. "Well, I guessed as much Nintai." She looked up at her den entrance and flicked her tail happily. "A few more steps and I'll have to carry you, Tezztor, Nintai." She grabbed onto the bottom of the third ledge below her den and hauled herself up. "Almost there."

Tezztor climbed up after her, intending to go as far as possible on his own. The aspect of flying didn't sit to well with him. One ledge after another he scaled upwards.

"Now comes the flying part. Tezztor, sit down over there" She pointed out a little step in the side of the ledge, "and I'll carry you up there. There's no way to get all the way up without a pair of wings because of the formation of the rocks. I'm sorry. And I've never tried carrying anyone before but I can promise you that I won't drop you. My wings automatically bend to catch anything/anyone I lose my grip on." She blushed as she spoke of this being her first time carrying someone and looked up.

Tezztor thought about it for a moment. "Carry Nintai up firsst, ladies first" Truly he was nervous about it but this gave him some time

Attica scaled the ledges along with everyone else. When she reached the part where the flying began, she stretched her wings to their full extent. The ebony feathers gleamed in the light and she looked towards Tezztor. "I've got nothing to do. I can carry Tezztor if you lead the way, Sam." she suggested holding a hand out to the raptor. "I'll be careful." A grin crept across her face as said those last few words and shifted her wings.

Sen, still at the bottom of the mountain, spread his glowing white wings, taking flight into the sky. Slowly he rose up, a beacon of light in the falling darkness. He thought for a moment, looking down at the rest of the group. "I wonder how Tezztor's going to get up the rest of the way to Sam's den... maybe he could use the artificial wings I was talking about earlier... Opposed to magic or not, there's no way that he'll be able to get into her den from here..."

Dzas' face emerged from the fog overlaying the swamp at the far end of the forest. He looked into the toxic lake that laid deep inside a crater. He saw a vision of Sen materialize in the swamp, a bubble bursting over his face, the gas from the swamp emitting a toxic vapor. Dzas couldn't help but smile at the ironic foresight of the swamp and his own plan. "Soon, Sen... Very soon... You will taste my blade," He murmured softly as he drew his broadsword from across his back, "You will taste my blade, and suffer a nightmarish experience far worse than death... Far, far worse than the fate you have bestowed upon me..." He stared back at his tail, a mixture of dark and light crystals embedded in it, causing him pain with every movement.
As Dzas slowly walked forward through the swamp, he re-sheathed his blade, glancing over at a tree, making it bow down to him, dipping itself into the swamp, the bubbling toxicity eating away at it's life, pulling the tree down into the murky depths where no living creature was able to survive. "Nature bows to me, and only me..."

I stood at the edge of the cliff next to my hut....
I lived in a medium-sized hut on one of the highest cliffs in the region...
"Hmm..." My stomach growled... "I forgot about that.... Might as well find something to eat."

"Uh, m-maybe I should just go back....I really don't.....like heights....umm yeah.....so..." Before she could finish Nintai had already taken off back the way she came. She ran until she was certain she was far enough that she wouldn't be able to find the way back. Which wasn't hard because she had no idea where anything was.
'I really should have left a long time ago....oh well I have now....' She thought as she slumped to the ground.

"One of them, Sen most likely might try and follow me...I guess I should keep moving...." Nintai mumbled and rolled her eyes. She was better off on her own...or at least thats what she thought. "Maybe Mei is more the real me then I think..." She said, musing to herself as she walked through the dense trees. The whole thing with Akuma all those years ago, then Mei....it was so confusing to her.... "Why can't I be normal....not some....artificial doll.....I hate it. I hate what I am!!"

Nintai suddenly stopped her angered ranting, realizing what would happen if she didn't get her emotions in order. "Ok...no big deal....so I'm different....I'm just some genetic freak!" She sighed and took a deep breath. "This isn't getting me anywhere....getting upset about what I am isn't going to change it..." Nintai had just barley finished her sentence when she finally became aware that her mindless walking had her face to face with a steep cliff. "Oh shiznit...I don't even know what direction I came in..."

I ignored everything around me and looked up at the moon..

"Umm....." Nintai looked around but saw nothing familiar. "Well this is just great....what am I gonna do now...." She huffed and sat down with her arms crossed. "At least things can't get much worse then this....." Then her stomach growled. ".........great way to jinx it genius...." Nintai muttered to herself.

I heard a DEER to my left.. I slowly took out my dagger.
Before the deer could move, I jumped at it and stuck my dagger in it's eye.
It dropped to the ground... like a brick.

"UGH!!" Nintai squirmed impatiently mumbling again. "I'm so hungry!!!" She suddenly bounded to her feet and looked to her left when she heard something in the bushes. Silently she made her way...closer and closer....then pounced on whatever was lurking behind them.

I dodged her and held her to the ground with my left hand,
My dagger was held to her neck... "Who are you?!" I asked her.

Nintai looked at him with hateful eyes and growled, "It's impolite to ask ones name without giving your own..." She snarled at him.

"Tell me your name or you die!" I told her quietly...
I pressed the blade against her neck.

"Try it...you'll be doing me a favor...." She said, completely unfazed by his threat.

I pressed even harder... "If you want to die, be my guest."

Nintai could feel a bit of blood running down her neck. 'Kuso, what am I doing....I'm going to end up changing' She thought when there was a pain in her chest. Suddenly she kicked the boy off her and sat up. "Nintai...my name is Nintai...." She held her hand to her throat as it glowed a bit. THe feeling of her skin stitching itself back together made her cringe a bit.
'Why am I being so reckless now....'

"What are you doing here?" I asked her, recovering before I hit the ground.

She fixed her gaze on the boy... "I think it's only fair I know your name before I tell you anything more..."

I pointed the palm of my hand at her and I bound her legs to the ground with shadows..

Nintai couldn't help but laugh. "Hahaha! You really think that this'll work on me," She snapped her fingers and the shadows disappeared. "...Dark elements are only one of the elements I can control....sometimes it's good to have a creator like Akuma....this is one of those times..."

I appeared behind Nintai and stuck my dagger thru her back...

Nintai's eye widened when she felt blood flowing down her chin. "Agh! You don't give up do you! I swear you'll regret this..." She roughly pulled the dagger out of her back. She feel to the ground on one knee muttering "I give up...I'm not fight her this time...if you want to know who I am....ask Mei" Nintai closed her eyes and smiled painfully as she fell sideways.

I kneeled down next to her body and held my hand to her cheek... I sighed..
I cleaned up the blood and put a small amount in a vial...
I wrapped a bandage around her stomach and lower back.
I took my dagger and stabbed myself in the chest.....
The dagger dropped into her hand and I fell to the ground....

Nintai...who was now Mei slowly opened her eyes. "Ugh....what the..." She noticed the dagger in her hand and that she was bandaged. Looking over at the boy who called himself 'Akira' she rolled her eyes "For kami's sake Nintai you could have at least let me out after you fixed this...." Mei muttered as she got up and knelt down by him. "What is this a scene out of Romeo and Juliet! What an over dramatic idiot..." Mei rambled on as she dropped a few drops of a black liquid onto the wound. It immediately began to steam as some of the wound repaired itself. "Why am I doing this..." She wondered as she bandaged him. "....This is stupid....I should have just left him to die....though Nintai would get angry if I did..." Mei sighed when she was done, she wasn't going to do anymore...it wasn't her problem to fix anyway. "Everyday our two souls are merging more into one...soon neither Nintai nor Mei will exist...but someone completely different...."

Attica noticed Nintai run off. "Well; isn't this ironic?" she question herself, still waiting for a reply from Tezztor. "I could understand if you didn't trust me, Raptor. I wouldn't trust me either given how I long for some sort of disorder." Attica no longer teased Tezztor, but instead, she lept off the edge, allowing her wings to catch a gust of wind. She drifted a small bit and began to flap her wings, scanning the area for Nintai. But she stopped in midair and stared down as she noticed movement in the swamp.

"Good grace almighty!" She swore, leaping off the cliff. "What did she do now?" She asked Attica, flying next to her as her black and red wings caught a shaft of the waning sunlight. "She ran off to go flip out, did she not?" She sneered, whipping her tail back and forth angrily. "Does she have to..." She stopped to snarl at herself. Taking a few deep breathes to calm herself, she flew up to the last lip and into the hole in the face of the cliff. "Welcome to my den." She called, landing on the polished wood floor. "Sorry it ain't much, I haven't had a chance with remodeling yet."

As Sen was lost in thought while flying above the group that was heading up to the top of the mountain, he felt a pang of pain in another being ring out. "Nintai!" He called out, banking hard back down to the forest, scanning quickly through the leaves, listening and watching for any movement. The moon was rising now, the sun completely set. He had to find her quickly... He felt that a life was in danger...

Attica dove down at the point in which she saw the movement, too concentrated on it to answer or follow Sam. When she landed, the first thing to hit her in the swamp was the smell; the next thing to hit her was the darkness in the aurora of the being she supposed she had spotted. The fog was thick, and she could barely make out the ghostly form of the skeleton-like trees.. But somehow she managed to spot the figure in the mist. It stood at a tree that seemed to have fallen at first glance, but a closer look revealed the trunk was bent into the water. Her yellow eyes and lines that ran down her cheeks seemed to glow, giving off their own light as she tapped into some of her power. Her craving was insatiable by now, and she struggled to keep her abilities under sane control. She wondered how to approach the being. It seemed to be interested in the same thing she was: Chaos.

Tezztor saw everybody suddenly rush off in the direction Nintai was formerly at. Wasting no time he jumped back downand raced in that direction to. When he got their he saw Nintai standing over somebody with a knife. "I knew it" he said. "I knew ssomebody was up to something" He walked up and stood over the newcomer. "Swine" he said disapprovingly. "Did he attack you? Somehow thiss doesn't seem like your doing Nintai."
He reached down and grabbed him by the neck. "Scrawny one too" he said almost laughing. "What kind of fool attackss one amongst a crowd?" He coldly dropped him to the ground. "I don't feel that he iss dead though, there is more to him then we know. Still no match for all of us if he is here to cause trouble"
He walked back a bit glancing at Attica as he passes her. He thought about all the different offers of flight, from Sam, Attica and Sen's magical wings. He wasn't completely trusting of Attica, they hadn't hit it off to well and it would be an opportunity to "accidently" drop him. He's tough but a fall of over 50 feet is tougher.

Sen landed next to Tezztor, grabbing hold of his wrist, glaring at him. "Regardless of him being a human or even attacking someone else in my forest, he is still a life that is as precious as the next. Unhand him, and I shall deal with him soon." Sen stepped forward, walking lcoser to Nintai, offering her a paw. "Are you okay? What happened?" He asked, worry prominent in his voice.

Tezztor glared back at Sen. "He just showed ill intent to one of us, if you treasure his well being over ourss, maybe I'm on the wrong side." He tugged his arm back angrily and walked back to where the newcomer lays. "He could be powerful beyond imagination, sstill you show him pity." He kneeled down and took in his scent and spoke silenty only enough that the newcomer could hear him. "Should they come to any harm, even the demon and even Sen's power won't be able to save you" He stood up and walked into the jungle back torwards the cliff"

"Tezztor, you know that's not what I meant. If he comes back, I will not hesitate to destroy him. A smug attitude can only be put up with for so long..." Sen replied, glaring back up at the raptor. He heard a small voice off near his lake, recognizing the faint call of his name, his fur standing on end...
Sen started to walk off towards his lake, letting out a low growl. He stopped mid-step, and turned around, looking at Nintai and Tezztor. "I have to go. Get back up to Sam's den. You may not like it, Tezztor, but I'm asking you as a friend. I don't mean any offense when I say this, but I don't want you to get hurt. Nintai, stay with Sam, and help get Tezztor up to the den. If I'm not back by morning... Take care of each other..." Sen ran off into the woods, speeding through the trees, heading towards his lake.

Mei scoffed. "Typical...." She turned and walked towards the cliff she almost walked off of when she was Nintai. She stood on the very edge and peered over, not being able to see the bottom. "I wonder how far down it goes..." Mei thought out-loud as she kicked at stone over the edge, watching it disappear.

Attica followed the fur closely, but quietly, her powers ready to fight if need be. It wanted Sen, but why? Was Sen the bad guy in this situation? He had already threatened her once, but it seemed to be a just cause. The figure drew a broadsword, still teasing the white wolf.. Attica snuck up closely and grabbed the fur by the shoulder and pulled it back, "What do you want with Sen?" She asked, her voice calm and steady.

Rolling his eyes backwards, he noticed his attacker was not sen, but a demon "First off, my name is Dzas" said Dzas, "secondly, don't ever grab me from behind." he then ordered a tree to grab the demon. "Finaly," he said after the tree grabed the demon, "my buisness with Sen is not yours or anyone else's, so just sit there and be a good little demon. his eyes again turned to the skies, waiting for Sen

Tezztor waited at the foot of the cliff, looking torwards the top deep in thought. "Their wayss are peculiar to you. One who would take life is spared, even with compassion is would sseem." He thought to himself kicking the dirt in fustration. He looked back and saw nobody. "Again a threat wanders the foresst and still I'm standing here. Out of respect only I'll humor him.' He sniffs upon the wind searching for scents. "Threat is close indeed."

Attica struggled in the limbs of the tree, wriggling to try and get away. When she realized that the tree had too good of a grip on her, she tapped into the power wells that had seem to be asking for destruction. Her eyes glowed bright yellow, and the tree as well as herself became completely engulfed in black flames. The flames made everything around her wither, allowing her to drop from the tree.
"Well, DZAS. I was not trying to startle you, I just wanted to know which side I should pick to be on." A mischievous grin spread across her face. "What is your intent? Do you enjoy disorder? The group didn't take much of a liking to me anyway; and I'm getting bored being that 'good little demon' and keeping my powers under control." The black flames danced around her hands, the appeared around her eyes.

Mei's ears perked up when she felt a strange heaviness in the atmosphere. "What....is this...." she muttered, looking at her hands. They were glowing with a black aura. "....the dark energy in this area just suddenly increased dramatically...I wonder...." Looking down into the thick cloud like fog she smirked. The energy she felt seemed to be coming from that direction. Mei turned her back to the edge of the cliff and held her arms out to her sides with her eyes closed. Without a second thought she fell back off the cliff, falling quickly to the earth below.

Tezztor heard a rustle above and his eyes widened as he saw Nintai falling, he rushed to catch her. He sat her down upon the ground. "Are you ok?" he asked concerned. "What happened?" He couldn't help but notice the black aura. All this magic was making him unsettled. Sure he was resistant to magic but a lot of magic force has gathered in the area and no good could come of it. This is why Raptors have always shyed away from socialization with magical peoples.

Dzas turned to face the demon. he then replied "I am here to kill Sen, if you want to help, Fine, but otherwise stay out of my way"

"Idiotic reptile....I'm not Nintai....my name is Mei...." Mei scowled and walked a few paces. "...and in this consciousness I have the ability to walk through the air..." To prove her point Mei jumped up a few feet, staying in place. As she stood there in mid-air Mei had her arms crossed and her yellow eyes glared down upon Tezztor.

After a few minutes of running, Sen finally reached the edge of the trees, finding a sight that he wished he would never see again. He halted in his tracks, sliding a few more inches, his rugged foot-paws digging into the underbrush. Slowly, he walked forward, out into the small open field next to the lake, seeing a being engulfed in black flame as well as an old enemy... Dzas...
"Fancy seeing you again, Dzas. I thought I finished you off last time..." He said, his voice soft yet carrying across the distant opening. His words were dripping in hostility and loathing, reaching over his shoulder and drawing his katana from its sheath, gripping the handle tightly.

Dzas turned to face his old foe. "Sen" he said as he turned "You wont beat me this time." "Now... I'll say this once more, Give me the tome or die" he said as he pointed his sword twords Sen.

Mei smirked when she found the source. Ripples fanned through the air around her as if she was in water and she disappeared. Reappearing above the trees behind Sen and some other unknown fursona. Mei's gaze moved to the unknown fur.
'....another new face...I wonder what this one wants....'

"You have tried last time at the end of the forest, and you've left your mark. I defeated you once before, and I'll be happy to do it again..." Sen replied, smiling a little bit, his glare still fixed on Dzas. "I see you must have a minion... Who's that hidden by the darkness?"

"If you mean ill will come out fighting I dont have the time for wordss.!" He sniffed the air, somebody was there alright. He waited, ready for an attack.

Mei frowned. "There's quite a gathering here now..." She said referring to the fact that Tezztor and that other guy who said his name was Akira, were the only ones not around. Mei didn't want to stay here any longer if there was going to be a crowd. She was planning to go back up to the cliff side and walk around from there but when she transported Mei found herself in a huge clearing, in the background she could here the sound of water running. "What the heck!? This isn't..." Mei's voice suddenly stopped when she felt a harsh pain in her lungs. "....Fine...since neither of us will exist soon enough I'll let you do what you want...." she muttered, allowing Nintai to regain control. When she opened her eyes Nintai found herself sitting on the ground, she sighed and fell back with her eyes closed again. "....there's nothing I can do but wait..."

Nintai's ears twitched when she heard something. She sat up, feeling another wave of pain and wrapped her arms around her stomach. Ignoring it she looked around cautiously but couldn't she anyone, or sense them. Which was strange, normally she would have been able to sense everyone's spirit energy....but she felt none at all. "...that's odd...."

Nintai saw that boy who attacked her fall from a tree not to far from her. "Holy s***!" Nintai jumped up, which was a bad idea on her part. She collapsed back to the ground when the pain in her body increased dramatically... "Ahhh! I-I really thought I might of had more time before this happened..."

I flinched in pain again. "...I don't care...about some stupid antidote.....use it on yourself! I'm not going to live as this person for much longer with or without the poison in me......so there's no point..."

"Why would you want to let yourself die like that...you idiot..." Nintai scoffed but regretted it as she felt pain rush through her body again. "Kuso...what's causing this...pain.....it's not...because I'm fading...so what is it..." She muttered. She was starting to feel faint, the pain was becoming to intesnse and she knew she was going to pass out because of it. "....this isn't...good..." Nintai mumbled as the last of her consciousness slipped away and she fell to the ground.

Tezztor reaches his camp stretching out his arms. The wind blew across the lifeless firepit and crept across him giving him a chill. "Night will be upon us ssoon, better setup" He kneeled before the fire striking a flame by scraping his claws across a rock. He kneeled down a foot away and prayed a few more scriptures in the Raptor tongue. Sitting his pack down he reached in and pulled out a piece of very fine cloth. He sniffed at it and a sense of peace came over him. "No matter where in the world I find myself, th thoughtss of you bring me ssanity and joy. There is so much strife here and conflict. The other racess know war and mistrust. I wonder if I'll make it home alive" He thought to himself. He clenched the cloth in his claw not wanting to let go of the thought of her. "If I die here, may you forgive me."

Sen took another step closer to Dzas, still a fair distance away. "I asked you a question, you foul beast. Who is that behind you?" He said, his voice brimming on fury.

She stood above the crowd of furs, still swooping around the mountain boredly. Her eyes scanned the forest tiredly and she frowned. "Well, there goes plan A." She shrugged her shoulders and folded her wings to her side. "When they're ready to come join me for the night, they'll ring." She told herself, climbing onto her colossal bed and closed her eyes to rest for a little while. "And, when they do.....be well rested...." She trailed off, smiling as she fell into a shallow slumber.

Nintai floated between the lines of consciousness and unconsciousness in a dream like state. Everything was black everywhere she looked. Suddenly when she turned around she was face to face with the one person she hoped would never find her. Nintai stepped away, only to fall backwards after only a few steps. He advanced closer to her, she was able to move as he came closer and closer until.... "Ah!" Nintai jolted awake, sitting up swiftly. She braced herself for the pain to come again but it didn't. "What....was I right before...was that pain caused because I'm slowly fading into someone else..."

Sen thought quickly and encased himself in crystal made of a mixture of light and dark crystal, stream-line spikes growing off his solid armor, unsheathing his katana. Steeling himself for Dzas' attack, he took quick account of his surroundings. The lake to his right, the wide open field he was in, Dzas' growing fury and rage, the forest around him, and the weak spot on his tail... Maybe he could use some things to his advantage...
"I brought it once, and I'll take you down again, you disgusting bag of filth!"

Sen looked at the new vixen, his features softening a bit, yet his dark/light crystal armor still remained, still wielding his katana. "It's a story for another time... The trees you made might not've been the best idea... The will of all of nature is in the balance now... You might want to take cover. Move those trees!"

Tezztor looked back across the lake and saw flashes and tree movement among other things. "Musst be fighting each other as I speak. Whoever winss will surely come to attack me. I hope Sen and Sam fair well. Ssuch nice furs, they gave me a chance when most do not." He thought about that last sentence for a few minutes, focusing his thoughts into the flickering flames. 'What kind of raptor are you Tezztor? Sitting here while those you would call friends engage in battle." His head sank a little. "What can you do, you have no magical powerss. While your melee combat ability surely surpasses their own, getting past their magic is another thing." He looked back upon the battle and stood up "If I can not defeat them, then may I sserve to further Sen and the others to victory."

Sen stood his ground firmly, waiting for any attack by either the trees or Dzas himself. The dragon wings were a new addition that he had no seen yet. They'll help him fly, but they can act like a weak point if they're exposed... "I'm calling you out, Dzas! Come away from your minion and let this fight be between us. Winner takes the tome, loser his relieved of his power! Do you accept my challenge?" He yelled to Dzas through the trees, waiting for a response.

Waking as her head hit the floor, Sam leaped to her feet. "SEN!!!" She screamed, her voice echoeing off the mountain, across the forest. "STOP IT!!!!" She ran to the opening and, without thought, leaped outside; forgetting to unfurl her wings. She crashed into the ledges twenty paces below her den and managed to bouce off. Unfolding her wings, she flew out towards where the sounds of the battle could be heard. She wasn't going to lose anybody.
When she arrived, she dropped like a stone to land in the middle; btween Dzas and Sen. She glared at them both, thrashing her tail side to side impatiently. "Stop this now. There's no reason to fight like this. And besides, I'm sure you two can act civilized and solve this annoying predicament with peacful means. I was trying to sleep." She yelled crossly, sweeping her wings back and forth impatiently; creating harsh winds to blow across the plain. "I mean it you two. If I have to knock your heads together to pause, I will."

Dzas stepped forward, walking over to Sam, his features softening a little bit, his broadsword still held. Within arm's length of Sam, he stopped, looking at her, tail tip flicking a little. "I'm sorry, young one; but words cannot put and end to this situation..." Without a word of warning, he stabbed his broadsword deep into Sam's chest, slashing downwards, a spray of blood staining the earth below her red. He smiled, his teeth showing eerily in the moonlight. "Don't ever try and cross my path again, you worthless waste of flesh..." He quickly pulled his sword out of her torso, stepping back and slamming his foot into her stomach, stomping her to the ground. "...try it again, and I will be sure to kill you in the bloodiest way possible..."

She licked the blood from her lips and smiled up at him, letting her muscles and skin stich together. "And if you ever stab me like that again," She snarled, rising slowly as her body began to glow a brilliant red-black; "I'll make you wish you were never born." She moved her hand aside and his body flew off, landing in the trunk of a tree. "When I say to cease your violence, I mean it. Now, are you going to stop or must I rip your limbs from your body and beat you senseless with them?" There was a sadistic smile plastered on her face. "I expect your behavior from a small child," She sneered. "but this surprises me." She used two fingers and crossed them, twisting his body into a pretzel. "Yell mercy when you're done being an idiot."
She looked over her shoulder at Sen and raised a brow. "Care to explain why this annoying creature is attacking you? Or do I have to find out myself?" Turning back to Dzas, she smiled wider and pulled him to her. Hugging him close, she licked his neck before plunging her fangs into his neck, lapping hungrily at his blood. "You taste delicious..." She murmured in his ear, breathing softly. "And that makes me wonder how you are when you're not wishing your life signed away." She chuckled darkly.

Tezztor lay in wait in the bushes, watching Sam interact with this newcomer. He hadn't seen another reptile species in a long time, however this one was hostile and had attacked Sam. He watched as Sam bit his neck. "Vampiric hmmm, would sshe of bitten our neck in her den? No matter she befriended me I'll repay the kindness, thiss new guy foolishly doesn't protect his flanks" He sniffed at the air before takin his assault but paused when he sniffed another scent, this one was familiar to him. "The demon!" he exclaimed in his mind. A mischievious smile slid across his scaley mug.

Dropping him at Tezztor's voice, Sam turned. "Ah, nice to see you again, my dear." She smiled, taking Dzas' sword and plunging it through his stomach, ripping him open as he'd done to her. "I warned you." She walked calmly to Tezztor and touched his shoulder gently. "I apologise for my rude behavior but I must protect my comrades, even if they wish I'd leave." She looked at Dzas with a sour expression and walked back to him, hauling him over her shoulders to sit there like a sack of potatoes. "And you try anything, I'll kill you." She hissed, wrapping a thin cord around his arms and legs expertly. "So," she smirked, flinching as the rest of her skin finally stitched together with a huge scar across her chest; "we going home or what?" She stroked the scar thoughtfully and sighed. "How many more, eh?"
Turning to catch Sen's eye, she nodded once, spreading her wings and flying off towards her den to take care of Dzas. As she landed, she went about cleaning up his wounds, licking the more severe ones to heal them, administering what little herbs she knew of that could fade his scars. "More innocent blood was spilt on account of stupidity and assumption. I only wish we could learn to listen to Song and remember why we're alive." Leaving him tied to a strong bar hanging from the ceiling, she returned to watch the rest of the group. "How long till Sunsetter I wonder."

Sen ran through the trees, his mind focused like the hunter inside him, unfortunately, missing everything else around him. He stepped on a wet patch of ground, lifting his paw to see blood sprayed across it. A chill ran down his spine, and he closed his eyes, gathering himself. He smelled the air, catching Dzas' scent, and flew up to Sam's den, entering the den with a flourish. "SAM! WHERE IS HE!"

Nintai awoke, groggy and disoriented. "What....what happened....why did I pass out like that...I...." Nintai stopped when she realized her voice sounded different.
'No, it can't be...I'm not out of time yet...I couldn't be!' She thought as she jumped to her feet. She expected her body to collapse from being unconscious for so long but her body seemed lither than ever before. Ignoring it Nintai walked over to the waters edge and peered at her refection. She nearly let out a shriek in shock but manged to hold it back to a gasp. Her left hand covered her left eye almost instantly, it was a dark golden color. "...what....it happened so soon...." she muttered, knowing that she's no longer the person anyone knew before. Her and Mei were no longer separate souls, they were the same person now. A mix between the two, a stranger who just happened to have their memories.

She smiled and pointed at his shadow. "There." She laughed at Dzas. "He deserves it for this:" groaning, she pulled at the skin of her scar.

Sen glanced down at her scar, and released a low growl, his ears back. "Give him back. The battle was between me and him. Nobody else. I'm sorry that you got hurt trying to stop us, but this must be done. There will only be peace when he's gone by my hands."

She stared at him, anger twisting her face. "Never. He has harmed me, my friends, and I won't stand for it. He gets his Deserves and you'll step down or I'll provide yours as well." She snarled, whipping her tail back and forth in maddening circles. "This creature attacked me when I made no move to attack it." She called softly, taking a step foreward to mess with the ropes hanging Dzas from the ceiling on the long metal bar. "Thus I will make him learn his place. My territory and my comrades will NOT be harmed for their past actions. If you two have a grudge, I'd like you to carry it away from here. I don't like any of this, Sen. It attracts the wrong things here, and you know who I'm talking about." She snorted. The thought of those horrid humans returning to destroy her life made her wings pop and sizzle in rage.
"I had hoped fighting wouldn't come to this peacful place but I can't let your stupidity chain-react and murder the things I worked so hard to keep together." Sam looked at him sideways and shrugged her shoulders. "Listen, I don't want to fight with anyone anymore but I do want to protect my resting place and make this a safe haven for anyone and everyone needing a home. I don't want this place to become a wasteland like mine was. Don't make me leave, please?" She begged soflty, sitting down on the cold floor as the ropes released Dzas. "Take him away and deal with things peacefully or leave. Don't come back until you've finished..." She let her tears fall as she stroked the scar, lost in memories she wished she'd never lived.

Tezzto scratched his head unsure as to what to make of what just happened. He saw the chameleon cut into her but she regenerated at a unbelievable pace. He had seen regeneration before but this was different. "I sshould see if she is ok" he made his way to her den. Unfortunately for him he forgot about the cliff face that he couldn't climb, the rocks wear tear his claws and talons to bits. "Thiss is just great" he thought to himself.

She leaned to the side and crawled to the entrance, reaching her hand down lazily. "I hope no one has to suffer because I stepped in..." She looked over the lip and screamed. "TEZZTOR!" Her eyes widened in shock as she scrambled down the treacherous rock, grabbing his arm. "What're you doing here?"

"I came to ssee if you were alright, I saw you get cut by that other lizard" Tezztor almost cringed calling the other one a lizard. He hated giving somebody so dark in nature the same label as himself. He paused for a moment. "Despite all that happened I sstill can't fly" he said half jokingly, half seriously poking at the fact there was a cliff between him and the entrance to her den.

She nodded, flying down to pick him up. "I know you don't like flying much but bear with me here." She groaned, holding him close to her chest and sweeping her wings down then back up to push her. She folded them to her sides slightly and coasted up on a draft of wind. "There..." she panted, laying him gently on the lip in front of her den. "Wow, you're light."

Tezztor nodded, "Yess my size often misleads people" he said giving the best answer he could think of. "Where did you put the intruder?" He was curious and it probably was written all over his muzzle. He tried to fake interest in the magical doorway to hide his concern for the scar the chameleon had given her. It didn't particularly sit well with him. "So how do you open thiss door?"

"The scar will fade with time." She replied, answering his unasked question. "I don't mind the curiousity, it's alright." She looked at the door and smiled sadly. "It works with pulleys and levers. The lever there moves that pulley over there to close it. The other lever pulls the second, more complex pulley to open it." She laughed to herself, moving the levers to demonstrate. "I have him in the other room. Sen'll take care of him."

Attica had missed everything as if she had been in a powerful trance. It was as if her blood burned due to her two completely opposite natures clashing as she was engulfed in black flames. Her more powerful side urged her to grip what life flourished in this place and destroy it while the more righteous angelic side fought a hopeless battle to stop her. As she levitated in the black fire, her three-fingered hands and feet extended into claws, her fangs grew longer, her eyes grew a brighter yellow, and transparent cuffs of light attached to broken chain links appeared around her wrists and ankles. In a flash of light, her clothes had changed from her usual garb, to snowy white attire: a tattered open backed tank top and ripped up capris with lacing down the calf. A grin spread across the half-demon's face as she touched the ground, the grass around her feet dying as it touched her. She whipped her tail with anxiousness, ready for the chaos as the flames around her subsided only still burning around her hands and eyes.

"Besides, I was stupid enough to stand in his way so I deserve what I got. I can handle it." She looked at the scar again, frowning. "I've been throught worse, trust me." She murmured.

Tezztor didn't approve of such things happening but he forced a comforting grin and made a "ladies first" gesture torwards her den entrance

Leading him in, she pointed out the kitchen and the living room and the bedroom. All set off by half walls. "Sorry for the small spacing." She blushed, stopping in the center to sweep her arms. The den was a lot bigger than most she'd seen but the biggest she had been in wasn't her own.

Nintai sighed and stared at her reflection in the lake. Her face was the same, except for her eyes, but she didn't recognize herself. "My name is Nin-no... I'm no longer Nintai or Mei. My name....is Kurayami...Fukyuu Kurayami....." She told herself with the slightest ease. As if she was never any other person than who she was now.

"Well, what do you think of my humble home?" She whirled around slowly, laughing.

Sen looked down, and took a deep breath, sensing great evil down where the confrontation with Dzas took place. He quickly walked over to Sam, taking her by the shoulder and turning her toward himself, hissing to her, "Do you feel it? The abomination of death and plague of chaos and destruction that beckons for us? Do you not hear it? It's down there, and it wants our blood, as well as all that inhabit the forest. You call me stupid, and that my foolishness will lead to the destruction of this forest, but this humble spit of land has been more home to you than any other place. Before you have arrived, this forest was nothing but a desolate forlorn swamp. I took this place from Dzas, but for the good of everyone else.
"If I hadn't taken my rightful place here as guardian of the newly grown forest, then surely he would've made everything around him a swamp." Sen turned, walking over to where Dzas hung, pointing up a furious paw at him, almost yelling. "THAT is why he's back. He wants his land back, and I'll be damned if I'm going to let him have it. With every breath in my body, I will defend this place to the death. There is nothing you can do to stop me.
"If we ignore the ongoing war between what is righteous and what is chaos, then the peaceful mountaintop that you call home will soon be destroyed. If you look down the face of your mountain, you can see that there is still great evil lurking, calling for us. As a being of light, I am obligated to rectify the cause of the darkness. Now stay here if you want, do what you'd like to Dzas, but don't kill him. Leave that to me. Seal up the entrance to your den after I leave." Sen slowly walked to the entrance, encasing himself in holy crystal.
"You say that I fight out of stupidity... I fight out of honor and and undying passion to defend what's mine. I fight for the lives of people like you that are willing to just turn their cheek away from a dying comrade. I fight to keep you alive. Call it stupidity, but I call it a good reason." Sen turned around, running and diving off the edge of the cliff, spreading his brightly-glowing wings wide, taking flight and gliding down to the demonic being.

Attica's powers spiked as if in anger as Sen approached, a few trees and brush around her instantly decaying and withering to nothing in a flash of black fire. Hello, darkness. The half demon's dark powers were now controlling her rather than her controlling them.
The holy crystal armor that protected the white wolf seemed to strengthen the shackles of light around her wrists and ankles, making her powers calm for the moment. Her eyes dimmed and she stumbled a few steps forward as if confused, in the pit of death in which she had created. She was trying to fight off the black entity that made her so strong, but it seemed to be too late for that now. She cackled as if to mock the chains that were trying to suppress her, and released a small bit of energy, an aurora that killed the wild life around her as she strolled to the lake.

A sudden shrill shrieking rang through Kurayami's ears, causing her to cover them in a futile attempt at blocking the sound out. She could here so many voices at the same time it was painful, but she resisted the urge to scream out in pain. After a few moments the shrieking had stopped and only one voice could be heard.
'Well well....you've remembered then name I originally gave you....my perfect creation is finally back to her old self again...'
Kurayami's heart nearly stopped. She could never forget that voice. Her creators' voice. But why she could hear him now and what he was talking about didn't make any sense to her.
'...A-akuma...you...what do you mean...old self. I-I'm nothing like this! I can't be! I was a mistake, an experiment gone wrong!'
'Hmm, this is a disappointment. Seems like it hasn't all come back to you yet....I won't confuse you any more than you already seem to be....'
'Wait, what are you talking about! tell me!!'
Kurayami sighed. It was too late, she could feel his presence in her mind any more. "....What....what really happened to me...."

Sen let out a loud bark of anger, the demonic entity tainting the purity and holiness of the lake water. Right above the dark being, he folded his wings back, spikes growing out of his armor, quickly drawing his katana, and letting himself plummet down ontop of the demon. "I will not let you take this forest, you foul deity!" As he fell, he got into proper position to slash away at the being.

Taken by surprise, Attica let out a cry of pain as the shackles of light glowed with great power; they sizzled and seemed to pulse with holiness, nearly crippling her own dark nature as Sen got into position to hack away at her. She grit her teeth as pain pulsed through her muscles and awakened her true self. She grabbed Sen and pulled him down far enough to whisper in his ear, "Don't let me kill. Not again." The voice in which she spoke was small and scared, she'd only lost control like this once, and in the process killed the family that she had known on Earth after her mother and father banished her here. There were no containment chambers here, no workers from the institution to stop her... She only hoped that Sen could prevent her burst of power from killing everyone here. His soul was pure, and seemed to strengthen the fail-safe chains of light that were bound to her by her mother after she had lost control the first time. She groaned, lapsing back into evil as she shoved the wolf off of her. The flames around her eyes leaped, as if to chomp at the bit, as Attica growled and unfurled her wings, preparing to fight.

Tezztor looked around the den, noticing its soft features despite being encased in rock. "It is quite cozy in appearance" he said truthfully. "Lookss like some trouble went into its creation" He walked about looking at various trinkets she had collected or made. He stopped abruptly upon one collectable, scanning it carefully before asking. "Thiss one has some resemblance to dragon relics my people have held for generationss. Where did you get thiss?"
His people had once had serious relations with a dragon tribe nearby, the dragons were about the size of a raptor so most refered to them as miniature dragons. Often times dragons and raptors would inter breed, exchanging genetic bonuses between the two. The mind control immunity of a raptor for the magical resistance of the dragons. It was also how Tezztor got the genetic dragon horns of his family line.
His eyes seemed fixed upon the artifact for some time

"A friend gave it to me. He died in the labs." She sighed and gave him a torn look. "I have to go help protect my home. I can't let anything happen to another safe place....It'll be too much for any of us." She glanced at Dzas and took out her dagger. "I set you free in the hopes that you will aid me and my comrades. If you want a peice of land back, do what's right; not what's popular." With that, she sliced the ropes holding him back and began pulling things from the shelf. "Tezztor, I'll need your help as well. I believe Attica's gone bad so we'll have to contain her." She had all her things together now; the longbow strapped to her back, the daggers hanging from her belt, and the shortsword tied to her left leg. "Grace save my soul, for I will defend thee to the death and beyond." She prayed, dragging her hand across the red scar.

"Jeez...I live anywhere and trouble follows me." She made a sour face. "And they wonder why I bristle at visitors..." She grunted, shaking her head sadly.

Kurayami decided not to think too much on what had been said to her, she would probably figure it out in time, besides something else had her attention at the moment. She had felt a dark aura mixed with a light aura she presumed was Sen's in the atmosphere for a while now so she wasn't too concerned about it. Though it had caught her attention when the dark aura had faded suddenly and came back just a quickly. "I know that spiritual energy...it's Attica's....but it's so much stronger...and darker now..." She muttered to herself as she looked in the direction of where the energy was coming from. Kurayami had no difficulty distinguishing the origins of auras anymore, ever since she became her 'original self' as Akuma had put it.
'I'm a little curious as to why there would be such a murderous intent to this aura....Attica couldn't be fighting Sen....could she?' After giving it some thought Kurayami decided to take a look at what was going on. In a flash she found herself in the air high above where Sen and Attica were. Attica's wings were out and she appeared to be in a fighting stance. '...well....looks like my assumption was correct..'

Attica Lunged for Sen ignoring the second presence she sensed approach. She struck at one section of Crystal, smiling as it crumbled away, but recoiling when the chains strengthened against her. Through gritted teeth she snarled and cursed at the chains in a demonic tongue, trying once more to make the darkness in her spike.

Sam shrugged when he didn't reply and ran to the edge of her den, throwing herself out. As she unfolded her wings, she plumetted a few meters then caught herself on an updraft. "Ah, the simple plaesures...." Sweeping her wings back and forth, she soared over the terrain to where Attica and Sen were fighting. Roaring thunderously, she folded her wings and dived. "ATTICA!! STOP THIS MINDLESS NONSENSE!!!"

Tezztor stood at the mouth of the den and watched Sam soar off. "I'll take a much more subtle approach" he thought to himself as he jumped down from ledge to ledge. When he reached the bottom he slinked through the woods, and snuck behind where Sen and Attica were engaged in battle. "Thiss time it is live or die. No time for pity" He sat there quietly upwind, waiting for Sam to make a move. "You start the show, I'll finissh it."

She dived down, aiming at Attica. "You listen to reason &^*$ it!"

Sen quickly resheathed his katana, deciding to use his fists and crystals instead of deadly slashes. He speedily approached Attica, grabbing her by the wrist and spinning around, lifting her and slamming her down into the water, his holy crystal armor pressing against her skin hard with his grip, the crumbled part of his armor quickly reforming. "A strike for another. I wish not to harm you, nor anybody else. Tell me what you yearn for, and the holiness of light and good will guide you to it."

Kurayami watched them attack Attica, slightly appalled by their actions. "STOP IT EVERYONE!!" She yelled out, desperate to stop this mindless violence.

Hearing Nintai's plea for peace, Sen thought quickly and formed a holy crystal dome around himself and Attica, enclosing them from everybody else, no sound able to be heard from outside or in. Still holding Attica's wrists, he held her down, looking deep into her eyes. "Tell me what troubles you, and I may be able to help. Fighting is never a good option to start with..."

Attica snarled as she was bound by the chains, they strengthened, actually causing her pain in addition to amount she felt from being tossed around. She whipped her tail and tried to wriggle out of the Wolf's grip. Her mentality still gripped by her demonic nature, she was still trying to fight, though she was at great risk. With one quick burst of energy, she pushed Sen back against the crystal enclosure, pressing her forearm into his throat. "You think a petty wolf with a few angelic qualities can stop me? I won't stop until this forest is flat and everything in it is dead." she promised, her voice full of venom, "I can't.." She shook her head, "I can't control all of this power.. I-I have to release it." She pleaded as she pressed harder, "And the only way I know how is through DESTRUCTION." She licked her fangs as if she could feel the life draining from the forest and smiled at the thought.

Tezztor sat there quietly, waiting for the right moment, observing Attica and her fluctuations of demonic power. "My claws won't be enough for thiss alone." he thought as he reached into his pack and pulled out demon's bane. "I don't like it but this may be the only way." He watched them closely for a few minutes then saw his opportunity. He broke from the bushes and sprinted torwards her then leaped through the air, catching his killer claws on her lower back. His size knocked her from the air to the ground with a nasty crash. He then thrust the demon's bane into her back and stepped away. He watched the power eminations from her interact with the blade. "Working as I had planned. The blade will dim her demon powerss, but won't actually kill her even if stabbed through the heart"

She snarled at Attica, slamming into her. "Do you really want to see everything dead?" She asked quietly, holding her down with little strength. "Is that what you truly want, Attica? To see everything here dead? All of us, gone?" Her voice didn't rise above a whisper. Didn't have to, Attica would hear her even if she'd rather not. "You don't want to let us die, do you?"

Not letting Attica's moment of weakness go to waste, he quickly formed super-dense crystal bracers over her forearms, weighing her down and strengthening the holy aura around them both. "There will be no destruction under my watch, Attica. With each form of life you take from this forest, a little part of my own being goes with it. I won't let you kill me and my home!" With his last words, a backlash of strong holy aura flowing through the forest, regrowing the lost life around the being sapping it from around her.

She glowered at Sen and lended him some strength, holding onto Attica's wings. "You want us to live, you want to survuve. And you want to be understood...No one can do that if you fight us." She murmured, smoothing the hafl demons' hair out of her face in a motherly gesture.

"No, she needs to be contained for a time while her two sides clash." She replied, pushing max away gently. "And we have to help her control herself."

It all went by in a flash as Attica collapsed to the ground panting. She had released a good bit of the bad energy within her as she fought, though she had regretfully destroyed a few things in the process... She tried to stand with the heavy crystal bracers around her wrists but was unable to due to their weight. It was as if literally all her strength had been drained from her body. She fell back to the ground, watching a few sprigs of grass weakly grow beneath her as it seemed her angelic side was going to work. She doubted so, assuming it was Sen's work. After getting a general gist of her surroundings, she felt the pain from battle surge through her body especially at the wound inflicted in her back. "I-I-I.." the half demon started somewhat embarrassed of her own actions, "Apologize." She coughed, a black substance coming up and dissipating in the air when she turned to look at it, her eyes a dimmer yellow.

"Are you ok, Attica?" Her eyes were full of concern as she let go of the half demon. "I'm sorry if I hurt you."

Attica shook her head as if getting rid of dizziness. "I'm fine now.. A little weak, but I'll manage." Her wings folded, melding back into her back, but not hiding the blade that still protruded from her back. She reached behind her despite the pain and pulled it out, tossing it aside as if it were scalding hot. She fell back onto her back and looked up somewhat dazed, "I'll.. Manage.." She muttered before drifting.

"Pillow." She muttered, sitting by her head and pulled it into her lap. "Sen, go get a blanket from my den for her. I'll stay here til she wakes up. You guys can go back to my den and chat or somethnig."

Tezztor walked up and picked up the Demon's bane and twirled it around in his fingers a bit. A lot of energy was eminating from it. He looked at Sam then Attica then walked off, his job was done here. No lives needed to be taken

She stroked Attica's hair, humming softly. The wind played with her own hair and she smiled wistfully, a fuzzy image appearing in behind her eyes of two children playing in a street near a large building. She looked around and reached out, trying to scream and warn the children before the woman in the white lab coat got them. She wasn't fast enough...The human got both the children and they disappeared in a wisp of smoke as the memory faded. She looked around, confused as tears ran down her face and landed on Attica.

Sen slowly let the crystal armor around him fade into nothingness, making it easier for him to fly up to Sam's den. On the floor was Dzas, still passed out from the night's earlier confrontation. Rest well, old friend... He walked further into her den, grabbing a couple blankets, and a pillow for good measure. Running back through and diving off the edge of the mountaintop, he smiled, the wind whipping through his fur. He loved the sudden rush of falling and then catching himself at the last moment. He landed down next to Sam, blankets and pillow in paw. "Here you go. You're going to take care of her?"

Kurayami now stood on the ground. Sometime during the whole matter she had dropped back down.
"Thank the goddess Martel nobody died...." She sighed and dropped down, sitting cross legged on the ground. Kurayami looked over at Sen, one of her eyes no longer their original verdant shade. Her left was an oddly yellow color.
"You wouldn't have killed Attica would you? She obviously had another side to her, she was the same person, only she had lost control. A demonic power hidden within her. Sort of like how I was....except I was literally two people...."
'But not anymore....for some reason or another our two souls became one....Akuma said that this was my original form...so that makes me wonder what happened and why I don't remember....'

Attica stirred a little, feeling the fear and sadness Sam had felt when she lapsed into a vision. Feeling someone else's emotions caused her to remember the day that she had totally lost control and along with it her family on earth..
She stood in the middle of a three ring circus with what she considered her family helping her put on a show. The ring master, a father figure in her eyes, announcing her name, and the crowd of spectators cheering in anticipation. Her fists and eyes caught with that black flame as she prepared to demonstrate her powers. "You've never seen a thing like this! The Grim Reaper has nothing on our very own Attica, Destroyer of life, Master of Chaos, a living reaper! Watch as she makes man-made objects fall apart with a mere flick of a wrist!" As he finished announcing, a line of clowns came out carrying various things such as toasters and radios for her to use her powers on... Everything was going as planned.

"I just hope she doesn't go nuts again..." She murmured, stroking Attica's hair. She wiped the tears away, ashamed. Another image passed by: A group of teenagers was playing in a darkened alley. They were all different fursons and they seemed to actually love the sole human playing with them. A few times, some other humans tried to take her away but the furries all stood together. She was their family, no one could touch her. "Alex, Samantha, Adriene, let's go. It's time to come back inside!" A soft voice called. The kids all smiled, most wagging their tails. "OK!! WE'RE COMIN'!" They shouted happily, racing to the steel building the young woman was standing in front of. They disappeared inside and exploded in giggles as the water balloons popped all along the hallway to the sleeping quarters. "SAMANTHA AND TYSON, GET DOWN HERE NOW!!!" Someone shouted.
A black wolf and the human supported each other down the hallway as they were still laughing. "Yea?" "You two are grounded. Samantha, it's time for your appointment." This tiger was seven foot tall and he looked ready to strangle them. Samantha cringed from him, standing at only five four, she was the shortest one. Tyson put his arm aorund her shoulders and picked her up, holding her like a baby. "Tyson, I'm fine. I can handle that galute." She mumbled, scratching behind the wolfs' ears. "You're sure?" He looked way too worried. "Yea, I'm sure. Love you." She replied, kissing his cheek. She escaped his hold and followed the ticked off tiger to a room with white wallpaper and chains in the middle. There was no furniture. "*sigh* Can we get this over with? I know it's going to hurt so don't give me any 'This won't hurt a bit' bull." She asked, making her way to the chains alone. The tiger walked behind a wall and pulled a switch. The chains became animated, leaping up and attaching to her wrists, binding her to the floor as she was engulfed in a dark blue light. She screamed in pain then clamped her mouth shut, knowing they loved it when their guinea pigs screamed.
A tail burst from her tailbone, wings fought from her shoulders. Fur grew everywhere as her clothing shredded. The ears she now had laid back as she roared in anguish. She was a hybrid now, neither human nor furry; a monster. She slumped back to the floor in exhuastion, knowing they wouldn't let her out for at least a week. She slept fitfully, waking in a rage then falling back again. Those were her first nights as an outcast. She would remember the look on her mates face. When she was allowed out, all the other furries gave her a wide berth. She approached Tyson and howled when she noticed the fear in his eyes. She smelled fear and something else coming from them in waves. Later that night, she set her family free and burned down the lab. She didn't look back, didn't want to as she ran from the law, forever an outcast...
She looked around and her wings grew larger, pumping back and forth slowly. She sighed, tucking her tail under her.

Tezztor stood at the edge of the water, the wind sliding across his scales, comforting him. He still held the blade, now eminating a lot of demonic power. "The blade thirssted, it hasn't had the taste of demon in a long time." He sniffed at the air, only the scent of Sam and Attica remained. "magic can destroy a furson" he examined. "Can turn friends into enemies. It iss good that I chose not to use it." He thought a loud, thinking of the pain Sam had suffered when she told him some of her past.
He kneeled before the water reaching into his pack pulling out a special sand and sprinkled it over the blade chanting anchient scriptures in the raptor tongue, which to other would sound nothing more then hisses, chirps and growls. The sand purified the blade, and with a blinding flash of light, the blade was holy once more.

"Way too many memories..." She carefully moved her body to lay under Attica's head as a pillow so she could sleep better. Her own comfort didn't matter, long as Attica was safe.

As they passed, her eyes glowed a blinding yellow as she licked her fangs and carefully made motions, watching the objects explode as the clowns carried them. The crowd roared with excitement as the objects grew larger; from toasters to dryers, all exploding with the same passiveness. The destruction excited her, made her powers go out on a limb of their own as she tried to keep them under control in the big top. Sides of the bleachers caught into black flames as she laughed, knowing the spectators would think it was all part of the act. Out of her peripheral vision, she saw Randall's (the ring master) face twist in horror as his large top hat turned to dust upon his head, and some audience members did the same. The rest were set ablaze with the black flames as people scattered, now realizing it was not just a show, but their death.
Attica began to toss and turn in her unconcios state; her face blotted with sweat and etched with fear as she dreamed out the rest of the vision.. Reliving the experience she wanted to forget. Black flames weakly glowed around her eyes...

Sen was sitting down next to Attica and Sam, his legs crossed and eyes closed, his awareness spread out to everyone else. His mind undetectedly touching everyone else's mind. He could see the horrific events that happened to Sam, as though he were there. He witnessed the horror of Attica's family and how her destructive skills were pushed over her limit of control. It was a sad fate for both of them...

Attica woke with a start, coughing that black substance up again as she gasped for breath. She looked around, somewhat frightened as if she were still stuck in the visions she had been witnessing in her sleep. She shifted, looking back down at Same, then back to Sen, pulling her knees up to her chest. She felt scared, yet she had no reason to be.. She was among friends, and safe. She coughed again, this time more violently, and the black substance almost gushed out as it disappeared as quickly as it had come. When the coughing subsided, she asked, "I never asked before, but what exactly is this place called, Sen?"

Tezztor walked back to where he left them, noticing them sitting together. He looked at them curiously, feeling a magical emination between all of them. He wondered what it could be.

A look of worry spread across Kurayami's face as Attica went into a coughing fit. Sensing her distress she knelt down next to Attica. "It's ok, you have nothing to fear. You are safe here, you know that." She said to her as the coughing subsided and she spoke to Sen. Kurayami's yellow and verdant eyes looked back up to him curiously. That's right, none of us really knew what this place was called. Kurayami didn't even have the slightest clue of how she got here....

At Attica's question, Sen opened his eyes, his pupils completely white, glowing brightly, with darkness around outside the outside. "The place which you now reside has no name, nor has it ever. Upon this ground was a deadly, horrible swamp, and life has grown from that which did not exist previously. Each patch of ground you step upon is part of my being, my essence. I care for this land, therefore, I am this land. The trees, the grass, the lake, the rocks, mountains, and sky. Each a part of reality that I have formed. You are here for I have summoned you.
"A terrible plight is on its way to this wonderous forest, and I need you all to help survive the gloom and destruction that will come, and pull through, rebuilding this forest. I'm not sure when it will come, but soon, now that you're all here, we will prevail." Sen turned his gaze to Maximum, his ear twitching once. "From the young and innocent," He then turned his sight to Tezztor, "To the wise and honorable, we must learn to keep life and goodness at all costs."
Sen stood up, backing towards the lake. "With the light that resides within us..." He held out his right paw, forming a shining holy crystal, brimming with energy. "...And the darkness that will always remain in our hearts..." He then held up his left paw, forming a demonic crystal, dark energy rivulets rising off the surface, almost eating away at the moonlight reflecting off of the glassy lake surface. "...Combined as one, we will bring new life." As he said these last words, moved his arms together, pushing his paws into one another, forming a single, blank, gray crystal.
Sen closed his eyes, clenching the crystal tightly in his paws, slowly grinding it to dust. As he finished his task, he knelt down on one knee, spreading the small crystal shards over the ground, the grass growing exponentially. He then opened his eyes, and as he stood up, the grass grew thicker and more lush with each passing second. He then pushed through the spit of thicket, the tips tickling under his muzzle. "As life continues, it must be maintained, or else life will end..." Within a few seconds of speaking those words, the grass behind him slowly shriveled, shrinking down and dying. "I need you all to continue life in this forest when I am taken by the plight. There is a way that I have found for you to bring me back, but speaking of it will render the method useless." Sen looked around at all of the other furs around him, bowing his head downwards. "I'll be forever in your debt for bringing me back..."
With those final words, he closed his eyes, collapsing to the ground in a heap, breathing slowly.

Attica's eyes grew wide as Sen collapsed. She rushed to his side and tried to help pick him up despite the weight of the crystals around her wrists and her own fatigue. "Sen, I don't understand. How do you expect me to help continue nature when I can't even control myself?" She lowered her head in disappointment. "I know you've binded me to these crystal cuffs, but restraints can only hold my energy for so long."

"Sen!" Kurayami followed Attica's movements and rushed over to Sen as well. As she approached him she noticed his breathing was continually getting slower.
'But...he can't die...no one should be dying!'
Kurayami's attention was then turned towards Attica as she spoke. "Don't say that. You can suppress your dark powers. If you have a will strong enough you can, don't doubt yourself. If Sen believes in us then we shouldn't doubt him. We have to do our best...."

Tezztor looked onward wth concern as Sen collapsed. "Thiss will be beyond my ability to heal, only raptor oracles would have an idea on how to cure a ailment of this caliber. If only we had sseen that tome. He got his power from it ssurely it would mention something like this." he said, trying to think of something to do. He was unomfortable, not having the ability to help unsettled him greatly.

Sen took a deep gasp, opening his eyes and sitting up, his entire body shaking. He looked around at everyone, raising a paw at Attica, the bracers fading away. His heart rate was quickening, the horizon starting to give way to nothingness. "Go now. Enter my den and find the tome. It will tell you how to fix what is already coming undone. You will be safe there from the chaos and destruction that will come down upon this land. It is a dangerous path to take, but you must go. I will not be with you corporeally, but I will guide you along the many twisting and turning halls whenever I can. Use your inner strengths and help your comrades along the path. Leave nobody outside my den! You must save everyone..."
With those last words, Sen reached out for Attica, his frightened gaze upon her. "When the time comes, you must let your energy loose. Your friends will be safe, for they will be protected by the angel within you." He then turned to Sam, shaking more and more. "Fly quickly up to your mountaintop, and retrieve Dzas. He should still be passed out from earlier. I don't have much time left... may light always guide you through darkness..." With those last words, he started to age rapidly, going from a young 23 years old to his true age, shriveling and disintegrating into dust. The grass grew a little bit where he died, but then slowly shriveled away to nothing, the life starting to decay from everything around him. Trees dried up, leaves falling to the ground, but vanishing before they touched earth. Arboreal beauties, verdant wonders, starting to die...
I will be with you all through your journey. Worry not...

Tezztor looked at Sam, then at Attica, then back at Sam, completely unsure and in a state of shock as to what happened. "He never told uss where his den was. This is a big forest it could be anywhere." He said worried. He wasn't to worried about the evil as much as not fullfilling Sen's request. If he were to die then so be it, but he didn't want Sen to die in vain.

Tezztor... you must remember where you first saw me... My den is close by where you are now. Sam most likely know where my den is.

Attica dropped back to her knees staring at her wrists that had been unbound by Sen. She feared herself once again, tears swelling in her eyes, but not quite spilling over her cheeks. She did not understand why Sen had so much faith that she'd do the right thing. She could hardly control her powers with restraints, she didn't trust herself without them.. Did Sen not understand that Hybrids are not gifted with power? That it was a burden to be a mix? Sometimes, the half-demon wondered why she bothered staying on Earth, why she couldn't just end it all and dive into the sweet nothingness that waited for her after life.. But she could. She could if she didn't follow the others to Sen's den.

Attica, I've seen powers within you that are a match even for my own. I believe that you have the ability to control your powers, but you just need to believe in yourself. When I was travelling to the tree that held the origins of my powers, I was out of food, and there wasn't a river or any source of water for days of hiking. I didn't let the biting cold and frost-bitten tail slow me down. I was determined to fight to the bitter end, win or lose. Knowing deep in my heart that I couldn't let my father's killers live, it gave me the strength to push forward until I reached the summit of my mountain, claiming my prize. You need to push on in life, through the winding passages in my den, and find that tome. Within that tome, it will give you control like you've never seen yourself do before. Perserverance will get you through even the most hopeless moments in life. I believe in you...

Kurayami stood up "We should get moving...I don't think we have much time.....and Attica Sen is right. If he believes in you, you should believe in yourself." A small smile found it's way to her face. "And if you ever find yourself in need of aid, we'll help. We are your friends, we will protect each other no matter what. Because that's what friends do...they are there for you when you need it."

"We can't just leave Sam here. Entranced as she is she wouldn't even know what hit her. Sen if your sspirit is able to talk to us, maybe you can guide them to your den to begin looking for the tome. I'll wait for Sam here" Tezztor explained looking at Sam then the others.

It's not only Sam that we need to help.  We need to get Dzas from Sam's den atop the mountain.  Someone must fly up there and retrieve him before non-existance envelops the mountain top.  My den is at the bottom of the lake, hidden through an underwater tunnel.  There is a small pocket of air at the bottom of the lake where you can rest.

Tezztor sighed. "Dzas who wanted to kill you and attacked Sam, I ssay leave him." He didnt like the thought of risking anybody else's life for one who only saught to take it away.

"Tezztor, it doesn't matter. All things deserve a chance to live...evil or not..." Kurayami sighed.
"I'll go get him..." With that she faded from sight and appeared at the entrance to Sam's den. Following Dzas' spirit energy she found him and unchained him. Kurayami put Dzas on her back and brought his unconscious body back to the others.
"Ok Sen, I've got him...now what? Should we go to your den now..."

Yes. You must dive deep into the lake, and at the lowest point, there will be a small tunnel that you will have to swim through in a single-file line. We need Dzas alive, for if he is killed, the swampy foundation that this forest was built upon will vanish, causing the land you stand on to fall into nothingness. We'll need him later... Now hurry! Time is of the essence!
With these last words flowing through everyone's minds, the mountain started to fade away, rocks crumbling away from the peak, but vanishing before colliding with the summit.

Tezztor grabs a hold of Sam and follows the others to the lake. "Ladiess first" he said trying to be as polite as he can despite the dire situation. A foul wind swept across him, leaving a sense of uncertainty that did not help the unease he felt. A terrible destruction lay behind them, he wanted to find that tome and fast.

Attica closed her eyes and wiped her tears away with her arm. She had nothing really to push for other than what Sen considered important. She was still doubtful of herself, being stuck in a pessimist state of mind all of her life not aiding her in her own self confidence. "I guess you're right.." she managed to utter knowing that the tome that Sen had spoken of was her only hope in being any kind of benefit in this battle that was encroaching upon the land; the land that was now slowly falling apart before her very eyes. All the beauty it had once held, gone. If it had not been for Sen, she would have done it herself.. A sick enjoyment actually festering in the very back of her mind. She closed her eyes and shook her head as if to try and get it out, then looked back to the others. "Who's going first?"

The darker side of Kurayami's personality was starting to come out as she was losing her patience. "Does it really matter...let's just go already before we ALL die...." She said in a ticked tone as she hoisted Dzas up so she wouldn't drop him. "Besides, I can't swim while carrying this thing. I'll have to wait until one of you are already inside, that way there is an aura I can follow and just transport there...."

Sam woke with a start, kicking Tezztor as a fierce snarl erupted from her maw. "LET ME GO!!" She roared, struggling to escape his grasp. "Please?!"

Tezztor dropped Sam to the ground. "Don't be sso angry, I was just trying to help. Didn't want to leave you there in casse of trouble." A irritated look came over his face. "Everybody ssure is touchy here" he puffed as he jumped into the water and swam downward torwards Sens den entrance.

"I'm sorry. I paniced." She muttered, shaking her head. "I really didn't mean to..."

"It seems as though I'm still alive..." I muttered, watching the lizard swim away..

Attica looked at the others, "What are we waiting for? Death?" She asked in a solemn voice, then she jumped in the water following the raptor as he swam.

She sighed, slipping into the water to swim past Tezztor and Attica. 'this way.' She motioned, lazily making her way to a glowing circle. Now I know that entrance is here somewhere... She muttered to herself, looking around.

"Come on..." I grabbed Maxium's arm and transported her with me and Dzas to Sen's den.

Tezztor noticed the entrance among the underwater rocks and hurridly swam torwards them. He broke through the water on the otherside, gasping from breath then climbing upon the damp earth of Sen's den. After collecting himself he looked around noticing there was still a tunnel to go through, and began to make his way up to it, feeling a faint power off in the distance. "Musst be the tome" he thought to himself

She looked about, noting the light. Swimming towards it, she appeared a little ahead of Tezztor. She took in a breath calmly, walking briskly down the tunnel to reach the tome faster. "What did you do to it, Sen?" She pondered aloud, flicking her wet tail in annoyance. He'd moved it from wher she'd seen it last.

Attica had been entranced as she swam; until she came upon an air pocket. She shot up through the water and gasped for breath as she climbed onto the lip of what seemed to be Sen's den. Well, I'm here. She thought, What next?

She looked to the end of the hall and a twisted smile blossomed on her face. "Ah, there you are."

The demon jerked in surprise, still on the defensive, then relaxed, scratching her head as if coming out of a fog, "That I am." She stood to her feet and looked to Sam, who was standing in front of a tunnel that glimmered with a dim light. "So this is it?" she asked curiously. "Also who else is here?" she moved her head to indicate the shadow that was on the wall; someone was in the tunnel.

Tezztor walked up to the tome, eyeing it carefully. "We sshould be careful, whatever power this tome holds transformed Sen." He was reluctant to touch it, the uncertainty of it made him uneasy. He looked back at Sam then Attica, then back to the tome.

Stop. A voice echoed out through the cavern. That isn't the tome. It's a decoy to catch intruders unaware. It lies deeper in my den. There's a hidden passage on the other side of my training area. The obstacles are sensitive to people's auras and put their physical and mental abilities to the test. Good luck...
The beginning of the training area was wide open with a high ceiling, allowing for flight control training. Further in had a low ceiling, not allowing flying over the obstacles. The first of aforementioned obstacles was row of crystal bars protruding down from the ceiling, a deep pit with an ominous blue glow within it. The second was a single set of 5 levers, followed by a short maze. The third was a labyrinth with 2 levels, going lower into the ground.
It is filled with trying, strenuous, thought-provoking trials, but the reward is great for both you all and myself. I will aid you as best I can along the way...

Tezztor listened to Sen's words carefully, noting his discriptions of the various training areas. "The first is flight training over a blue pit? I can't fly." He said once again disappointed in his need to such a ability. He thought on it for a bit longer. "I don't have powerss or an aura to trigger anything in there either"

The first area is just where I train flying control. There is no flying where you'll all need to go through.
Tezztor, you may have been taught that magic is for cowards, but deep inside you, I sense a dormant, yet powerful aura. You must find within yourself the key to unlocking your own true power. Your body will thank you for it...
With those words, part of Sen's consciousness touched something deep within Tezztor, unlocking a long-hidden power...
It's up to you... It's your choice whether or not you use it... It will make you stronger... faster... endure longer... The power is yours...

Tezztor let Sen's words sink in for a few minutes. Only raptor females had ever shown magical ability among his people. It was considered heretic to even speak of a male having such power because if females had the power of light, surely a male would have the power of darkness. So it became against his people's customs to even think about it. But with this evil comming to consume him, his people were no longer.
He stepped forward, concentrating hard though completely unsure of even how to use magic. After a minute he opened his eyes again, and other then a headache he didn't feel any different. "Perhapss there is another way to invoke my power, whatever it may be." He kneeled, different known methods he had seen raptor oracles use, as well as the others he had met here, running through his mind.

Sam jerked at Sen's voice and growled. How many of these %^&* things do you put up, anyhow? Last time I was here there were only two. Now you've got three? What's the deal? She looked at Attica and raised a brow. "Decoy. And the training area's a $%^&@ to get through..."

Attica arched her brow and walked past Sam through the tunnel until She ran into Tezztor. She stood beside him looking to the area that as supposed to be the flight training area. She swallowed nervously as she looked on, feeling that there was no chance she'd pass this thing despite its appearance. She was on that buckled under pressure..

You all needn't worry about the flight training. That was for my own personal use. Sen's voice boomed throughout the cavern.
You all must focus on the task at hand. There isn't much time! I feel that there is a presence still outside... Maybe human... I'm sure he'll be fine, though...
With a twist of his will, a small portal opened up under the young human, dropping him own onto the floor next to his bed. Rest for now... Things will be alright soon...

Kurayami's less patient side of herself began getting irritated. And lugging around Dzas on her back wasn't helping. "You heard him, we don't have much time, so let's just get through this without dying..." she said trying to use her ability to more or less walk through air, but found herself too heavy while carrying Dzas. "Well....that sucks...." She muttered.

She sighed, this day couldn't get any worse. "You got any bright ideas, Mr. Flashy-lights-echoing-voice-in-head or are you going to watch us make fools of ourselves?"

Tezztor stood fustrated, unable to think of how to awaken the power Sen mentioned. He turned to the others, "We have no time to wait, we should go. I can carry Dzas for you Kuriyami" He said reaching for the unconscious reptile.

"I'll gladly give him up..." Kurayami said as she let Tezztor take him of her back. Feeling much lighter she jumped into the air, flipping around once. "Great, now let's get a move on before it's too late."

"Sen, you're gonna be dead when I get my hands on you...." Sam growled, moving toward the bar in the middle of the room. "Which one's first?" She asked herself, growing tired.

"Oye...Get on my back and stay. We've got some tests to pass." She turned at Max's voice and smiled at her.

Kurayami looked at Max with a sadden expression. "Sen died Max...that's why we are here..."

"Yea, so get on my back and let's get started already..." She growled, lines creasing her forehead as she gaged the depth of the pit before the bar. "Who's ready to leap? I can carry two if need be."

Tezztor looked at Sam, pointing to the side entrance. "We need not even fly there is a path to the first trial, which I think Sen said would be a tesst different to each individual" he explained as he made his way down that path. Once through he saw what looked like a ordinary room. "Got to be careful in here" he said caustiously walking into the room. As he reached the center a odd aura filled the room and beings began to take shape from the mist

"Yea, you go that way, I'm'a go this way." She replied, walking towards the pit. "Looks deep but if I know Sen, it's an illusion.."

Attica followed Tezztor in the room. She watched as the figure formed itself, and stood speechless wondering if this would be any sort of guidance. Gods know she needed it. She was confused and somewhat fearful behind her calm reserve.

"By passing all the trials.." She groaned, jumping into the pit. A blinding light engulfed her and she was on the other side. Now what, Sen? I got where I'm supposed to be, lead me.

Tezztor sat Dzas down at the entrance and watched the shapes forming, keeping himself ready for anything. They seemed to take on a demonic form. "What kind of devilry iss this?" he thought to himself. "Could thiss be my test? To combat demonss like the raptors of old?" As attica entered the room the shapes shifted violently, and consolidated into two shapes instead of many. His eyes widened to see the shapes became a mirror of him and her. He did not know what to expect.

Attica stared in wonder at her own reflection, then back at Tezztor's. She wondered what this test could possibly be about... She didn't know Sen as well as the others, for she had only fought him and then watched him die. She never exactly got to know him. She glanced to Tezztor questioningly, then back to the reflections as if to ask what this test may be about.

Kurayami followed Tezztor and Attica, coming up behind them. She noticed the two figures in the mist, they were doubles of Attica and Tezztor. Her eyes widened when another appeared, a mirror of herself. "What kind of test is this?"

The three shapes finish forming, but stay a solid black in color. For a second they show no movement, then they rapidly transform into a mimic of the person most important to each of them. Tezztor's shade takes a female form, the form of a raptor he was courting but tragically died in the demon wars. "Foul magicss, why do you show her to me?" He thought to himself, fighting back tears. He tries to hide it from the others by acting like it doesn't bother him. But it couldn't be more written all over his scaley mug then it was right then. "I guess we gotta face something about ourselves that we never got over" he said shrugging

One of the shapes rapidly changed form and became that of a 10 years old female human. "Zansa...." Kurayami said barely above a whisper. Zansa was the youngest sister of a human family that adopted her, the only humans to ever except her.
"Nee-san...why did you let my die...why didn't you save me..."
Kurayami's furrowed her brow. "What.......Does Sen really want us to fight them!? My little sister? I can't I watched her die once I'm not doing it again!!"

Attica's form became much larger than herself; horns growing long and curving above its head as long spikey hair grew from it's head. The form was muscular and beastly with a long arrowed tail like hers, its eyes glowing the same yellow as hers. He snarled, and at once she knew it was her father. Another form, smaller, more fragile, appeared in front of him holding a child.. It was her mother. She watched in horror as the demon struck the angel across the face. "Kill it." he growled. "I will not have a MIXED child tainting my name."
Tears welled in the angel's eyes as she whispered, "I can't keep her with me, you must take her..."
Attica's eyes widened, and a tear ran down her cheek, "I was never wanted."

Sen's soft voice echoed through the chamber, his will touching close to Attica's mind.
You must know this... Most of the challenges in this cavern are not of physical abilities... They are of your sense of self and finding your true inner peace... It is a trying path that might break you down at the very start of your journey... But I believe that you all are strong enough to continue through your life and overcome your demons... Don't let your past stop you from moving forward...
Sens words continued, but they slowly started to fade...
I believe in you all... Do what is right to let you move onward in life...

Kurayami took a deep breath and stepped out towards the figure of her adopted sibling. She knelt down down to her level and placed her hands on her younger sisters' shoulders.
"You left me in that house to die. You let the flames burn me to death as you wept pitifully on the floor."
Kurayami embraced her, holding her tightly. "I tried....I tried my best to save you Zansa, I really did. But I couldn't. I'm so sorry...ever since that day I always blamed myself....but it was never my fault....it was no one's fault but Akuma's. He set fire to our home that night. So please don't blame me nee-chan...if I could go back and stop it I would....so please....forgive me...." the shadow girl slowly returned the hug.
"...I forgive you nee-san...thank you..." she said as she faded away.
Kurayami collapsed, her hands gripping the ground as a single tear rolled off her cheek. "Good bye Zansa, let your soul rest peacefully...

Tezztor stared at the shadowed figure, tears welled up in his eyes. "If only I had been there I could've saved you." he growled, in furiated. "My foolish pride took me from you then they took you from me. The demonss." A look of bloodthirst came over him, he roared at the shade. "Foul demons took you from me. No matter how many I slew that night, they jusst kept attacking. I failed to keep them from you. It should've been me." he knelt to the ground, broken, pounding his fist upon the rock then stopped.
He walking up to the shade reaching out to touch her chin. "I hunted them down, killed mosst of their kind with the demon's bane destroying their very soulss. I killed most of them.... "his voice trailed off as one of his eyes turned to Attica. He shook his head "No, if I turn to bloodlust I will be no better. My love would never want it that way" As soon as he said that the shade grabbed his wrist and he felt a horrible magic course through him, making him feel the bloodlust and pain he had felt that night. He tried to fight it without success. Struggling he reached into his pack and pulled out the demon's bane. " Demonss might of taken her but they will not take me" he said as he plunged the dagger deep into his own chest. The shade vanished that instant leaving Tezztor reeling on his hands and knees. "My faith.. has been tested." he said smirking as he coughed up blood.

In her own fog, Attica barley noticed Tezztor as he stabbed himself through his chest. She had no clue how to move past this part of her past; she was not wanted, and it truly did bother her... It always had. She reached out, her hands barely catching the shaded angel's hand. She turned and looked to Attica, tears in her eyes, "I couldn't keep you, my dear. The angels would not accept you, and I could not kill you as your father wanted. I figured at least being banished to Earth would give you a chance to live." Attica nodded at her mother's words as the demon behind her disappeared into nothing. "He doesn't know that you live. I told him you were dead."
She stepped forward, hugging her mother. "I understand." she said emotionlessly... "It was what was best." Her heart was heavy though she knew her mother was trying to do the best for her, the shade disappearing as she held it. She dropped to her knees, breaking down mentally; restraining herself from throwing a tantrum. Tears streamed down her face as a hate for her father boiled in her blood. She slammed her fists on the ground, hating her father, hating herself, wishing she could have been a normal non-mixed child.

In the lit room was an artifact Sam had never seen before. It appeared to be some kind of tome but with all the tests, it could also be an illusion. She growled, reaching forward to grab it.

Tezztor struggling, gasping and feeling dizzy. Blood was streaming out of his maw. He sat back and pulled the dagger from his chest and looked up torward the ceiling. "No starss" he said weakly, "No starss to guide me, how we will she know to find me." He looked around, eyes out of focus with double vision. "What a horrible place to die, in a cave so far from home" he thought out loud no completely sure of how loud he was talking. He gritted his teeth and went to stand up but fell to his knees. He tries again and fell again. He grabbed the pack off his back and threw it to the ground and tried to stand up again. "Not here" he said with a deathly kind of confidence.

Kurayami looked over to Tezztor. Seeing him struggling so much she walked over to his side. She placed one hand on his shoulder, keeping him down. "You will only worsen your state if you keep trying. Here take this," She took a vial filled with a red liquid out of her bag for him. "It's not magic, it's made from healing herbs found in the forest. It will help you."

Tezztor took the mixture she handed him and opened the bottle. He looked at it for a second unsure, then drank it. "Thankss" he said feeling foolish. This was only the first test Sen had mentioned. Was he so weak that he almost died on the first? The thought made him completely uneasy. Seeing his love like that tore through him more then any blade could ever. Suddenly he didn't feel so mighty.

Looking at Maximum, Samantha took her hand away. "It isn't dangerous, i don't think. Sen wouldn't use anything like that here. He's much too smart for that. Besides, this is the end. We'll wait for the others if you'd like."

Tezztor smirked, still blood comming out of his maw. Suddenly a passage opened nearby. "I guess... that is our cue" he said as he began to make his way out. Once through there was a long passage wraught with stalagmites and a pitfall on the left side. He looked down it curiously. "What kind of tesst awaits us here?" he wondered cautiously moving forward

Attica was still slumped on the floor, swimming in frustration, releasing tears she had kept bottled up for so long. She felt weak and unworthy of Sen's high opinion of her. She didn't want to move one, couldn't move on. She hated herself as she had always found herself doing lately. She thought again of how she could take her own life with the blade that sat not too far from her. It had demon's bane after all.. She shook her head, pulling her knees to her chest and sitting in the floor, still as Tezztor moved onto the door. She had barely noticed it when it opened.

"Yea, and I'm a monkey's uncle. Hold on, Attica and Tezztor are on the way. They've got two more rooms." She glanced at the iron door on the other side of the room and sighed. Attica, pull yourself together and keep going. You've got two more tests and you're home free. She thought, projecting it to the half demon.

He struggled down the narrow path, ever cautious. The redish medicine Kura had given him seemed to set his stomach at ease but he was still bleeding. Suddenly he heard a loud rumble and looked back only to notice the wall was moving, pushing torward the ledge. is eyes widened and he began to run as fast as he could down the stretch. "How.. long iss.. this" he puffed seeing no end in sight not sure he was going to make it. He cringes as he ran, his wounds opening back up from the run. He felt dizzy but kept going, the path barely wider then him now. Finally a end was in sight and he put everything he could into it and leaped as the wall nearly pushed him off the edge. He laid there trying to catch his breath. Though he was naturally built for speed, he had never had to run so fast.

Kurayami followed Tezztor down the path, shocked when the wall began moving. The black cat got down on all fours, running shortly behind Tezztor down the long stretch. She could see he was having a little more trouble than she was, seeing as he was injured still. Unfortunately she could not do anything to help his wounds until...or if they made it to the end of this ridiculously long pathway. Tezztor had already leaped across, the end was coming up quickly and she could feel wall literally on her heels. She was praying her idea would work, other wise she would be turned into cat pizza. Kurayami swiftly jumped up, allowing the wall to push her until it reached the end, then at the right moment she leaped off to safety. She stumbled next to Tezztor and looked at his wounds. "Sit still, I'm going to wrap your wounds...and don't protest or I will sedate you...." she said sternly as she took out some medical bandages and antiseptic ointment she had made from her bag. Kurayami swiftly and skillfully applied the medicated ointment to the bandages and began wrapping his wounds.

Tezztor looked around lazily as he laid his head against the wall. He didnt even try to resist being patched up. Unable to see through the double vision he sniffed the air. "One iss missing." he mentioned. "Attica did not follow us. Perhapss the stone wall will reset for her to come through. Also that chameleon is back there as well." The dressing on his wounds relaxed him a bit and he dozed off.

Kurayami finished dressing Tezztors' wounds, tying the bandages tightly so they would not come undone. She rubbed her temples and sighed as she leaned back against a wall. "The only thing we can do now is wait." the feline said to herself.

Tezztor dreamt, he was back in his village with his people. Delicately built and decorated huts that covered raptor nests littered the town. Through town a water flow twinkled against the morning light. Raptors strode everywhere, some carrying meat for the supply hut while others further off practiced combat tehcniques. Most raptors about were males, tending to the needs of their pregnant mates. He walked through town, like a stranger in a fantasy world. He came to a hut he recognized by its special markings and peeked inside. A female form looked up at him, eyes sparkling she smiled and got up to embrace him. Suddenly the day turned to night and the entire village was on fire. Eggs broken everywhere and demons flying and rampaging about. A few raptor soldiers killing off in the distance. The gates to the town were being sieged upon by something very large. *Boom* over and over as the creature smashed against them. Suddenly they whipped open and a large demonic overlord raged in, roaring a earth shattering roar...
Tezztor awoke at that very moment. He looked about nervously. Noticing Kura still sitting against a wall across from him. "How long wass I out? Couldn't of been long."

"Sen is right, you were only out for about a half hour....but we should wait for Attica...I wouldn't want her to be left too far behind..." Kurayami said, her eyes closed and her arms crossed. "Staying in a group would be wisest at the moment..."

She sat on the ground beside the tome, annoyance making her wings crackle and her tail lash backwards and forwards. "come on, Att, you can do it..." She muttered, clicking her claws together patiently.

Attica stood to her feet, clenching her fists as tears still streamed down her cheeks. Though she could care less, she realized how selfish she would be for taking her life; because though losing herself wouldn't bother her, she was sure that it would affect the others somehow. She walked through the door. As she went inside, it instantly slammed shut, and the wall behind her began to move quickly. She jumped onto it and pushed off with her legs, using her wings to shoot her across the endless spread before the wall could catch up to her. Landing with the others, she wiped her eyes, still upset from the room before.

Tezztor looked over, his vision still blurry but he knew who it was. "Nice that you made it." he said. He felt worn and beat and it hurt to move. He just wanted to lie there. If only he knew about that power Sen said he'd have stored inside, maybe it would be helpful. Suddenly he thought of the dagger and pack he left behind, which had a cloth with her scent on it. He could never leave it behind. He tried to get up, but simply collapsed.

What are you doing? The plague of non-existance is about to penetrate through the lake! Time is running out! I need you to find your way to the tome before it is too late! Your lives... no... your EXISTANCE depends on this task... You're almost there...

Tezztor looked up at Sen's manifestation "I'm utterly beaten. I don't know if I will be of any use to the others when we get there. They musst go on without me." he said with some sorrow. He felt horrible and unable to move.

Attica scooped up Tezztor in her arms, though she was beaten mentally and looked to the black cat, "Where to?" she asked.

Samantha used her voice and rolled her eyes at sen. "Attica? I'm at the end. Continue down the hall and take the door to your right, I can see you through the window."
