Title: Redwall
Post by: Thaddeus Q. Wolfe on February 25, 2008, 05:19:15 PM
Yeah, Brian Jaques is British, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good writer. If any of you haven't heard of him before, he writes novels on furries in a semi medievil time period. My only vice is that all the foxes in the series are bad peoples. No fair, I say. We are good peoples, too.  :th_Pyong-1:  either way it is a great series.

I've noticed that the "Redwall furries" and those here or most anyother place in the fandom is that the Redwall ones seem to be animals standing upright which talk. Insead of humans with fur, a snout, and ears. His seem more animal-like.

I read a lot of the Redwall series several years ago, and I loved it, but stopped reading them for whatever reason. I've been meaning to get back and read some of the other books in the series.

WHA? trip outside? you need the fresh air if your complaining about going outside. But. yeah, it is worth it, even though all foxes, cats, reptiles, amphibians, and rats are made out as evil. :'(

In regards to your earlier comment Wred, I meant the trip out to the library. I dislike cars and traffic so I gnerally stay where there is little. I.e. my house.

Eh, maybe it'll publish, maybe not. I'm working on a novel/short story about us. I don't know if anyone will like it but I'll try to finsih it soon. It ortrays humans as evil instead of furries/scalies. I find it better than I thought it would be.

ooooh, i am writing something like that, furries were made by the military and revolted, overtaking the government. Then the few remenents of the human race attempt to hunt down as many of the furries as they can.

Yeah me too, I write tons of stories all linked together. Eventually I'll probably compile them into one since they are all about my fursona. Maybe I'll even post a few here. After being here a while I've gotten tons of ideas for new people to meet in his journies

Yeah I have the same problem. Each story is interesting enough I guess but how do you tie in the mundane connections between them without putting people to sleep.

Well, most of my blocks appear in the form of my parents aggrivating me and I forget what I was doing. >>

My blocks come from the fact that it's kinda hard to concentrate from everything around me...  parents, "friends", homework, school, etc...  I have a lot of good story ideas, though.

You could send them in a PM to someone for their opinion. (I spelt it opionion >.< LOL) See what they think about it and then maybe edit the adult parts out or try making a cleaner version.  I've never done something like that so I can't say that I know how to do it. >.>

Yeah. I've read a couple stories like that in my life. Though I wouldn't say I'd be able to tell you what you could do, I could tell you what I think of it, based on the other stories I've read.  :)

I really enjoyed reading this series in middle school. Kinda led me into furry fandom. Only read about 4 or 5 of them. Maybe I should check it out again.
