Title: Famous or Freaks?

OK,
So if in real life all the furrys suddenly turned into thier own fursonas in this world for real,
what would happen to us do you think?
Would we be madeoutcasts and/or freaks? Or would we be famous and marvled at?
Kinda hard to decide.
If that happened to me my Family would go probably berserk!  :shcoked:
Maybe the government'd make a furry school if the public didn't like us?  :sparkle:

Most definatly they will capture us and experiment on us to find out what caused the transformation and what we are. As for me they're goonna have a figght on thier hands.....

Well, I wouldn't be complaining because I'd be one awesome dark dragoness running around.. I wouldn't care if they called us freaks, and I'd get annoyed if we were famous because I don't desire attention. But I'm pretty sure someone in the scientific field would want to study us.

Who wouldn't? And really, who could blame them for wanting to keep tabs on you? I've met my share of furs who would become murderers if they ever became their fursonas.

And if they did, fursonas can't be invincible (unless maybe in another world...) so military forces would cut em' down  :boom:

OK, I'll edit the first post but what I meant was that they might make a school if the public
didn't like us. But Meer-Kat is kindda right, it would be kindda cool  :)
But if not a school then maybe like public furry meeting places.

Likely the response would vary greatly across the world.
For sure you'd have bigotry, hatred, fear, and your fair share of people who want to capitalize on it and or the former mentioned.
For one thing you'd see furs reconsidering being a fur after they learn how hot clothes would be.

One concern of mine would be that those who would want to negate rights based on it.

It's gotta be hard taking care of all that fuz, extra appendages and whatnot. And if you're fursona is a quadruped, say goodbye to anything like normal life. The best you could wind up as is someone's pet. Not that that would be so bad I'm sure.

An extra apendage would be like a tail or wings. Quadruped means four legs. Humans and anthros are bipedal, which means they have two legs.

Unhuman experiments, testing new biological and chemic weapons on them, gonna be treated worse than  Chechens in Russia, weird sects, brand new crazy Mesjahs, pop-culture, probably partisant wars against all governments and humanity. If humans see something new, they decapitate it into parts too feed their curiosity (and take one steep deeper into hell ^^)

Don't be silly. The response would vary world-wide. There would be persecution, definitely , but only in a few places might it be government sanctioned; like China. There would be no weapons testing on them. That doesn't even make sense. More likely governments would be trying to preserve and understand them, and there would be just as many people willing to help as hurt, if not more. There aren't that many of you, you know; maybe a scattered few hundred thousand, so no wars of revolution or "resistance".

Meaning some would see them as less than human or not equal and want to treat them as such.
Also this is more of a tangent from bigotry. The furs could be seen as the new minority class.

For myself in the situation presented by the creator of this thread.... I'd feel really awkward in various ways:

My sense of balance would be off, having two tails tangling around and constantly moving would make walking a problem for a while, I'd have a really good sense of smell (which I don't), and my eyesight would probably be worse.

When I got used to all of the changes, I think that I'd probably be better at running than I am now.

By 'us' I was referring to the actual furries.  Thats why I referred to myself separately.

I'd have to adjust with the wings and tail as far as balance goes... But as far as clothes go I wouldn't have a problem. I'm a scaled individual.

Although I think it would be awesome to be my fursona it would also bring in much to debate.  Would we considered a race or an animal? Would we have rights or no rights at all? There would be so much controversy that as said before many of furs wouldn't wish they were furs anymore.

What you are suggesting more or less sounds like a mass emo suicide. That would be sad and painful. But then again, you'd think we'd be able to persevere as we are able to wear fursuits on long occasions such as furry cons.

Well there wouldn't be enough of you to form cities. There's probably only one furry in every large city block covering the whole planet. That's maybe only a few hundred thousand. You'd be pretty alone.

I have like 3 other students and 1 other teacher at my school that are furries....Maybe it's just what area I live in...lol...Maybe we'll all go to canada...They seem a lot nicer there. lol =3

It'd probably be impossible. The definition of species is a group of organisms capable of mating with each other and bearing fertile young. Though it's just my undedicated guess, I'd wager most humans and anthros would be too genetically distinct to to reproduce.

at the beginning, real fursonas woul be hard for everyone to accept, but they would become normal sooner or later... i guess you can compare it to the native americans, who everyone considered beasts at the time of discovery, they were taken like slaves, but now look at the world, most white people and black people dont even look at each other's skin color anymore

You're fooling yourselves. There can't be more than a hundred thousand in the entire U.S. If that many people suddenly became their fursonas, probably what would happen in longterm is that most of them would die out for not finding compatible spouses. So many fursonas are distinct after all. Only the common species would have a chance of perpetuating their lines, and then only if they worked hard finding others of their kind, all the while int the midst of on-and-off persecution. If however enough of the first generation manged to reproduce, it isn't likely they'd be driven extinct or anything. They'd probably grow at a slow pace. In a few thousand years maybe then you might talk about them as being a true race unto themselves. Then you might have the possibility of large-scale contentions and wars. I thank God it'll never happen personally. What I'd like to see is genetic uplift; the granting of non-human mammals higher intelligence. This I hear is actually within our limits to do.

WOOT! I'm from Canada too eh? And I'm nice xD

they's so many thing to take into consideration though when you think about it...yes there wouldn't be many of us...we'd probably be a small minority...I think that we would e given rights considering we can talk and do normal human actions...if humans and furries weren't "compatible" with each other then yes we would have a problem at keeping our "race" alive and well...if we we're "compatible with each other...I'd say we'd probably have some weird kind of human...or some form of a neko...but we probably would be kept as pets or for scientific experimentation...to see how we were formed and such...study our anatomy...poke around inside us... we'd be pretty much aliens...

we'd probably end up getting locked up in Area 51 xD


for probably the first 10-20 years we'd be outcasts...

And they'd tap me with a hammer on the knee and I'd kick em in the face and then they'd put me in a crazy suit jacket thing
And I'd be all like "YOU CANT DO THAT!!" And theyd be all like "Ya huh we're humans so nyeah!"
Then Id rebel and kick the dude where the sun dont shine and Id poke his eye out and poke him with a stethescope and be all like well how do you like it mr. human and I'd laugh and throw corn chips a them and chuck em in the furnace and I'd be all like haha your burning.   XDDDD

Actually, I think there would be too many of you for governments in the west to round you up and hide you away. People would notice and protest over it. Besides there would be no real point. What would the g-men possibly stand to gain. It's in China where you need to worry. Dictatorships can do things simply for he heck of it, and they do. That said, don't think there'd be any heroics you could pull off to escape. Governments aren't as stupid as they look; especially how they look in comic books.
