Title: Hello!
Post by: Sigi on February 08, 2018, 12:50:21 PM
Hello everyone. I'm just trying to get myself involved in the fandom in some form. I've never really been able to so I'm hoping to be able to this time.

I'm a 21 year old cisgender woman, pansexual & in a relationship with, in my opinion, one of the best men in the world. I'm a coyote therian (psychological reasons seem likely, I can't reconcile it with my religion) in addition to being a furry.

Some of my favorite things & people: my boyfriend, indie folk music, cats (I'm "cat-hearted", which is having a strong connection to cats but not identifying as one), flaming hot Cheetos, video games (especially the Borderlands series but not the first one), memes, Troy Baker (mostly his voice & music), and a whole bunch more I am too lazy to type.

My fursona is Mistaffity and I am trying to keep her based on me (I have so much trouble with sticking to fursona species) so she is a coyote....a chubby coyote.

Full disclosure: I had an account here a few years ago (around 2015, I think) and forgot my username (apparently) and I closed down the email I used for it. Whichever account I registered before this one will not be in use.

Hello Mist, welcome to the forum! I hope you can get involved this time, it's a lot of fun in here
I recommend starting in RP or the chatter box parts, whichever you prefer. There's always something cool to do there. We also have a therian section for everything connected to that.
If you need any help or just want to chat feel free to send me a message, I'll be happy to help!
Hope to see you around!

Welcome, coyote!
It might have come to your attention that we also have an area for Therians and Otherkin (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=84.0). Maybe I will see you there someday? If not, it is fine as well. Either way, make yourself at home, lean back and enjoy your stay. :)

Hiya Mistaffity!

Welcome (back) to TFF :D

If you have any questions or just want to chat, fee free to hit me up.

If I may ask, I'm curious what you mean about psychological reasons for not being able to reconcile your religion and your therianism?

Anyway, have fun!  ^_^

Thank you all for the warm welcomes! :)

For context, I am Kemetic Orthodox. I worship Netjer (Kemetic version of God, basically) and Their many Names, which are often called "gods" despite being more like aspects of one deity. The soul in my religion is species specific and just doesn't reincarnate with other species. My guess is that my Parent(s) deity, who I haven't learned of yet but have strong suspicions for, planned for me to develop that part of my identity (the identity is called the Ka & it either gets the afterlife or gets eaten; the Ba is the immortal soul and gets to reincarnate) on a mental, non-soul level.

Wow!  That's SO interesting. I find my knowledge of Kemeticism terribly lacking, but I love to learn new things!

Hmmm, I can see now why resolving the two is complex.  You have a lot to work out.  Good luck!

Welcome to TFF, well I don't really tend to consider religon around here, despite how some of my characters 'religously' act. I wish you luck on figureing that out and for the time being enjoy your 'coming back' to the forums.

I never heard of this religion. It sounds interesting although terrifying. I don't want to be eaten when I die. I want to reincarnate again, this time back into what I actually was and should be. I simply believe for myself in reincarnation, soul misplacement and past lives. Otherwise, I am a simple Evangelist. :)
However, it's nice to meet you. And I hope that you won't get eaten in afterlife.

Hi! Hope you have fun around here. I grew up Catholic, but other religions and cultures have always been interesting.
