Hey does any one know of medical conditions or what not because I can barely stay awake during the day but I just can't sleep easily during the night is there a medical term or summat for that?
-
...Vampirism, lol. I'm kidding.
Really, there are multiple things that could cause you to feel that way. Ask a real doctor.
-
insomnia? or at least.. i think so, that or its just a messed up cycle, its something annoying, but if you take your nightrest, you'll get over it
-
Same as me @_@
I can't sleep during the night and go to bed around 5-6 AM, then wake up 2-4 PM if I have free day (if not, well...) My biological clock is completely crazy, dead during the day and full of vitality in the night... the only way to get back on proper cycle is trying to sleep even if you can't or spend more time working or doing something to get tired. Or take prozac... heheheheheheheh ;)
-
its probably insomnia, or your like me. Its kind of an alarm clock in your blood the best thing i can tell you is to accept it. otherwise i'd start lookin for a sleep aid. =s
-
No I'm asleep by midnight but I still am tired all day long even now as I type this its weird.

as said before, your internal clock is probably just messed up, maybe go to a doctor for some medification, or solve it on ur own

We can ban if necessary ^_^
Nah, seriously, get to a doctor, they are the only person who can state what's wrong.
-
Mmm, it COULD be Insomia as they say. Go to a doctor to check eet out.
One thing you could do to try to make you sleepy is exercise before you try to go to bed. It's proven to make you tired.
-
Random intarweb people are not qualified to give medical advice. Please go to a real doctor.
-
It's called ADOLESCENCE. Everyone goes through a stage when they want to stay up all night and sleep all day. I'm currently going through it. Just try your best to go to sleep at night, like breath in good colors and breath out bad colors.

Well ya know I think I might have develped a hypothesis about it it seems I only fall asleep in class when the teachers are talking not when I'm doing work or reading but only when the teachers are lecturing maybe their voices bore me so much that they make me spantaniosly fall asleep or sumat.

See a doctor. Well intentioned though online friends may be, there's no substitute for professionals.

hmm, yeah, i have to agree with that one, although a regular doctor might give you a psychiatrist or another specialised guy/woman... not saying theres anything wrong with you Yayashi, but a psychiatrist knows more about these kinds of things
-
I had a shrink he didn't help he made it worse.
-
Well you need a physician.
-
I don't know if I've gone through Adolesence before but I'm that way all the time...
When I was 10 I'd always fall asleep during class...
I got a lot of detentions.. :umm:
-
That's odd...it could be the atmosphere of the room.I found most of my teachers entertaining though...my one teacher was boring as hell though...Mrs. Shier...@_@
One of my fave teachers was Mr. Simmons xD he did the BEST Yoda impersonation. He was also a huge Star wars nerd like me xD
But the only time I ever fell asleep in class was when I was tired or the teacher was babbling on about something useless xD

Rest exercise and socialize thats my motto to sleep but then again I always stay up past four in the morn because I have things to do but when I don't those three things work for me.

Something to think about, instead of being on the computer before you go to bed, do something else. Computers are entertaining, thus, making your mind more alert and awake. Even though you may feel tired after getting off the computer, your mind is ready to go. When you fall asleep in class it means that your mind is tired. It's just like staying up late, except with your brain. O_o Try to limit your computer time to at least an hour before you go to bed. You may find it will help a lot.
Also, it won't work the first night you do it. You have to set your internal clock to get used to it. Make your brain tired. Read a book, draw, watch CNN... the last one was a joke. There are a million things you could do instead of being on the computer before bed. So, don't go telling me, "It doesn't work! I couldn't find anything to do!"
Happy trails,

( ...hello mr IRC moderator...long time no see lol)
I agree though, computers or other electric devices such as tvs do the same. Like he said read a book or something, preferably a long huge book, I have one and I read about 3 pages a night to make me sleepy.
-
I do read before I go to bead but that makes me more awake.
-
How about...listen to some quiet music before bed? Like some white noise? or something with a slow beat to it...
-
doesn't work thanks for the advice though. I havn't fallen asleep in class since I got the new Turok game. tell the truth I can't sleep all that much since I got it I keep seeing dinos attacking me in my dreams and then I kill them and the blood is every where and then I can't sleep because of how realistic the dream is and my nose starts bleeding.

wow, that sounds like a compulsive videogame addiction, you should probably cut down on em a little bit, ive been playing Halo and Gears of War for a long, long time, and i dont see locust or covenant attacking me in my dreams... its probably a addiction, or at least something that makes your mind relate videogames with the real world to much
-
well as soon as the Super Bowl was over I started playing and I didn't get off until midnight but hey look at the bright side I didn't fall asleep in class today.
