I've been doing some thinking and I realized that when I designed my fursona I was making a character I thought looked cool instead of one that actually reflected myself, not only this but I wanted to make a hybrid with the traits I liked best from different species and I'm now worried that will make her too expensive to commission art of and too difficult to translate into a fursuit. So I was hoping to get some advice on the subject, here's a link to my introduction post which contains a detailed description of my fursona.

Honestly that's more of something you should decide yourself since it is your sona <3 but I changed mine from a fox to a skox (a skunk with fox features) if you think your sona is too complex then change it do what you feel comfortable with :) <3

You could also just create a new fursona that you feel is more "you" and keep your current one as a secondary fursona/character.
There are no rules or limits on how many fursonas/characters you can have, so just go wild with it.

I mean I'm comfortable with its complexity, I'm just worried it'll make it more expensive to commission art of and harder to make a fursuit of

A lot of artists do a flat-rate sort of things on their commisions. If you'ere worried about prices, then you could find someone that's set up like that.

Yeah I do plan on keeping Shady as a secondary character but I have decided to create a new fursona that represents me a bit better

That's all right. Whatever you choose, in the end it's your character. I think it's very original but you can do with it what you want. You can even have multiple fursonas, if you like. Personally I only have one fursona who developed quite a bit over time, and I have an alternative characters for roleplay and art.
Anyways, you shouldn't worry too much about the character being more expensive to draw. Sometimes there's a flat rate for one character, sometimes it gets more expensive for more complicated looking characters (though a lot of complex markings are usually what makes the price go up significantly).

Yeah but I also want to get a fursuit one day and something that complex would probably be a bitch to make a suit for

Making a fursona that reflects you, I think, is better. I mean I guess one of the main points of making fursonas it to be something you're not. (Especially in fursuits). But I feel like there's a small sense of attachment and commitment, you gain when you make it with your heart and soul. (...Why do I feel like I just said something cringey?)
Anyway, Of course a fursona just doesn't have to be a reflection, it could be a goal. (Like a fursona with a personality or look that you wish you had.) Or once you make a fursona that you think reflects you, then you can add or remove stuff in order to make it look cool. There's a lot of different processes to make something that's both cool and you. @.@
Hope that helped.
