Title: Some questions and a new species idea (Not sure if it is already a thing)

Hey everyone,


I'm Khaise the Sabertooth Tiger for those who don't know me! Throughout the development of myself and my friends, Honeycomb the Dutch Angel Dragon and Vex the Meowlie, I have some questions to ask the furry community.


1. What sort of unique/made up/mythical/crossbreed species are out there?


2. Where do you get the supplies to make a fursuit? (In Australia)


3. What is a good scaffold I can use to draw art of Khaise, Honeycomb and Vex?




Also, I have made a new species. Vex is a Meowlie, which is basically a cat, an owl and a wyvern mixed. But I'm not really sure if this species is already a thing. Hopefully I can upload some art to the forums within the month so people can have a look. If anyone wants to see my current (sort of dodgy) drawings and plans then just whip me an email ([email protected]). Some more questions:


1. Is this already a species?


2. What do I do if someone is interested in making a fursona of my species?

I can only help with the lower section.

1. From what I can see both the name and species combination are still free.
2. You can either decide to have it an open species or a closed species. An open species everyone can use freely. With a closed species others need to ask you to get a fursona of that species. When they ask, you can either create characters of this species for them through comissions, let them make their own character after they received/bought permission or keep it for yourself so you can be the only one with that species. (Anyone, if I'm a bit wrong on that last bit I'm sorry, please correct me.)

Extending michen's post, if you want this to be strictly yours, (closed species) you should probably copyright it.

0n the other hand, I think getting possessive about this sort of thing isn't cool, so... XD

Ok, so I have started drawing a random Meowlie that has the body colour scheme of black-brown and white with the sub colour being a baby blue. I want to say in advance that if anyone wants or is interested in him/her now then please message or email me ([email protected]) and I'll send you what I have drawn so far (it is a digital drawing so I'll email). He/she is actually really cute so far and I like him/her.


Anyway, I will try and finish it within the next two weeks to post on the art page.
