Hi furs... so, you guys probably saw my thread from a couple weeks ago asking for relationship advice. I have some good news and bad news regarding that. The good news? I took the advice you furs gave me and it really helped! The bad news? I'm scared I'll never get to see my boyfriend again now.... No, not because he finally gave up on my hopelessly shy self. Because earlier, I went to check the forum we usually chat/RP on (we live like 3 hours apart and I can't always get to my phone to call/text him). When I went on there, apparently the genius admin decided to update it, but something went wrong and every last bit of data on the website went bye-bye. I was a little disappointed as I had some really close long-distance friends on there and a few really good RPs, but at least I can still call my boyfriend on my phone, right? Wrong. When I went to message him on my phone, I found that, funny enough, all the data on the crap-quality phone was gone too. My boyfriend phone number? Gone. My text messages? Gone. My extremely impressive high score on Flappy Bird and all my progress on Neko Atsume? Gone. Okay, so I can always recover the game progress... but still. Now I have no way to see my boyfriend. The admin of the forum I mentioned earlier has a backup site for members to find eachother and figure out how to replace the forum, but how will I know if any of my friends, or my boyfriend, sign up for it? I did... but what if they don't? I'm just afraid I'll never see my friends again... I've know them all for almost three years now, and we've all helped each other through some really dark times... but now I feel completely alone and torn apart inside. Really, I could use someone to talk to and maybe some advice, because honestly... I'm nothing without my friends. I may be a fox, but they were like my pack. And now we've all been torn away from one another....
I just needed to rant about that before I ended up viciously attacking something from rage and despair.

First of all, how the heck can you screw up so bad with an update that all your data gets erased xD. That admin should probably get someone else to manage the technical part of his website for him haha.
Second of all I wouldn't worry, for 2 reasons.
1. You lost your boyfriends phone number but it's unlikely he lost yours, if he's as close to you as I'd expect he might text you asking where you are, in which case you have his number again, no problem! (But maybe save it in something that can't crash, like a piece of paper or something so this doesn't happen again)
2. If the forum that went down is important to you, your boyfriend and your long distance friends, they'll probably sign up. So I wouldn't worry about that too much, if your boyfriend can't find you he'll probably look to that backup forum to try and find you. Also better to make sure you have multiple areas to communicate with so you can don't get into this problem again!

I agree with Anoni on this, and it includes everything I want to say as well. (About the update thing: people have been known to entirely erase accidentally websites with a huge database due to a button/keystroke combination too (which also erases apparently your back-ups too if it's connected), so this update screw-up doesn't surprise me.)
Give it a while and see if he contacts you back, and when he does be sure to indeed write his contact information down on paper somewhere. (I don't trust technology, so I have still a trust paper agenda with numbers and stuff in it :3 )
