Hello, everyone...!
I'll be honest... I am nervous, mostly because I'm always nervous. ^_^
Anyway, my name is Kaida... But some of you may know me already as Nightmare or Kristen. You see, I am Okami's owner and mate. If you want to know a bit more about me feel free to ask or look at my profile. They kept telling me how amazing this place was, so I couldn't ignore it long. A part of me always wanted to be able to open up completely about myself, so I thought here, on the internet with random and open minded strangers would be the best place to start and make frfiends! I mean, I always knew I was strange, and what's stranger than strangers, right?
...I have terrible social anxiety if you couldn't tell.
Anyway, I hope to put up some artwork soon and make the best of this new community. :)

Oh, well, I LOVE Dungeons and Dragons (classic board) as well as drawing, digital art, writing, playing video games (like Pokemon and Skyrim) and researching new obsessions for months at a time! ^~^'
Although, if I had to pick a favorite, writing would take the top, hands down.

Aha! Considering your interests, I would say to take a look at the rest of the forums (if you haven't already :D) !
We have a board called Artistic Stuff (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=4.0), for all art related things (drawings, paintings, etc.), Forum Games (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=39.0) and Roleplaying board (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=16.0) (maybe you will find something you like there, maybe something like Dungeons and Dragons ;D), a Writing and Literature board (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=38.0) and of course a board just for games: The Video and Traditional Games (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=59.0) board.
Of course we have other boards too! Feel free to check the forums out when you can and want to!
The boards mentioned are just what I thought might be a few good places for you to start looking into :3

Kaida (if I may call you that, since you said you were changing the name, think it sounds better than Nightmare...)
If you find my intro post it will explain more than I can here, but yes, some Native american influence, also ties to what I am since Naake ni is a real part of me, not 'just' a fursona.

Wait, you too? That's amazing! It's not so much that I'm changing it, but I actually have several personas that are a substantial part of me as well, much in the same way as multiple personalities(only even though they are all part of me, they feel and act like their own individuals). Kaida Lestrange is who I am now, but another one is Nightmare Zephyris. She comes out less often though, as she is pretty reclusive. But she is very deeply attached to me and... Well, I'll be honest her friends are few because she only ever comes out to help if I'm in trouble. She never connected with anyone besides Okami and I, namely because she thinks saying who/what she believes herself to be would be to my detriment. It's part of the reason why I joined... For both of us

understand.... Naake ni (Apache for Two Spirits) is the Wolf in me, now that I am accepting what I am he has become a very integral part of my daily life, and is helping me understand things around me..

That sounds a lot like Zeph, too... Except at first she wasn't so nice. I mean, I had a lot of darkness in me that I refused to accept when she first surfaced. I mean, she was always there, but I wasn't fully aware until I was around 16 years old. Anyway, she seemed to embody everything I feared about myself at first... But she was in pain because if it. It wasn't what she was meant to be. When Okami and I managed to pull her out of it, she regained a part of herself back. She's tried to protect and guide me ever since. She's even literally pulled me out of a dream to stop very substantial nightmare. (hence her title) * scratches head* I still don't know what that thing was...

yep, sounds similar. For the longest time I thought Naake ni (wasn't named back then) was just a part of me I 'created' to do a job I had to do outside my normal comfort zone. Looking further back Naake ni has ALWAYS been there, I just had to get to a place where I was able to understand and be open about it!

Exactly! I thought I made her so I wouldn't be afraid out alone anymore. But it's come down to the fact that she even has her own spiritual energy when she takes control (I have friends IRL that are aura sensitive that can vouch) I have so many 'personalities' that it's not even funny, but she has always been different.

*Hugs Okami* Yeah, In a way i suppose you could say our heads' a little scrambled, but I find life a lot more colorful that way. I'm know at the very least I'm crazy, but I've come to embrace it more than anything. I mean, after dealing with 13 different personalities not including yourself, I dare anyone to say they are perfectly sane! xD
To think, I couldn't tell anyone this in real life... I actually feel a bit relieved. ^~^
