Title: Anyone ever seen those cringey how to "psychologically" beat a troll articles?
Post by: Captain Degenerate on December 06, 2016, 09:17:20 PM
I mean I'm just saying I troll a lot and "getting inside the trolls head" god do people take the web that seriously to where they think there some kind of master mental manipulator XD for "good" also do they think the other person actually cares it just seems really embarrassingly silly that people think there actually fighting some good fight lmao.

Generally speaking whatever the person says I'm going to find some funny way to argue or disagree with even if I agree with it in real life and even if my argument is completely absurd or outlandish.

But yeah not really a rant I suppose but man the fact people legit think there having some positive effect on the web by "fighting trolls" is frankly funnycringe to me XD.

Well the article seems to of worked for you to rant about it eh? :P

I always found the best way to deal with a troll is to troll them, basically. Either roll with it or find out what their stance is and then attempt to prove how they're going against that stance. You don't use logic, you just stay adamant in that the troll is the trolled victim. For example if a troll is saying he hates hipsters, you stay adamant in the view that the troll is a closet hipster. Stuff like that, it really gets on their nerves and turns the tables super quickly.

Depends if I find the trolling funny or annoying.

If I find them to be a funny troll then I play along until one of us gets bored.

If they're annoying then I ignore them.

I have developed a thick skin over the years. So I take most things I encounter on the internet very lightly. I mean, if I don't take what "X" troll says seriously it is significantly harder for them to have an negative impact of my mood. Anyways, I think its good to approach things on the internet that way.

Yes people take the web that seriously. Orson Wells started a panic over a radio show. This is the facebook generation, what else would you expect lol.
