Hi there.
I am Weasel, that's my name and it'll never change.
I'm a weasel, it'll never change.
I'm very new to this furry-thingy, and so i have a lot of questions. That is the reason i've come to this forum.
A little bit of backstory: the reason why i'm a weasel is because my real name rymes with weasel (in my own language, i'm not from a english speaking country). When i started calling myself Weasel on (almost)every online thing, my friends started calling me a furry and i accepted my new form(although it wasn't my final form). In real life i'm not really a furry, but online, yeah, for sure.
and so i have questions for you, more experienced furries:
#1: Am i a *normal-*furry, or just an *online-*furry?(not that it bothers me that much)
#2: Do almost all furries have a fursuit?
#3: What's the political standpoint of most furries?(just interested)
#4: What's the main activity of furries(online and real-life)?
#5: (less important, more of an quest for a artist)can someone draw a proper weasel for me?
#6: Why is there vibrating furby below my name?(WHY?)
that's it, there's many more to come, so don't worry.
I hope you can answer my questions and ignore my existance, 'cause i'm only here for knowledge(i like it more than a lamborghini).
Weasel. :?

#1: Online, definately.
#2: No. A fursuit is NOT an obligation to be furry, so... you get it.
#3: Varies per furry. Politics are not directly connected to being furry.
#4: Um... Dunno. Depends on their interests etc. But I bet it'll be school/work.
#5: Me? No. Ask my brother Michen, he's a drawer. I'm more the writing type.
Aaand welcome, before I forget.

#6: Why is there vibrating furby below my name?(WHY?)
Because each forum have "ranks" ? Just ignore that, is only for counting posts.
Hi LittlestWeasel welcome to the forum and have fun ^_^ .

Hiya Weasel!
Glad you decided to check us out ^_^
Welcome and have fun! Just have a look around and join in anything that takes you fancy!
I'm Trixsie, feel free to say hi or ask questions either by PM (personal message) or if you just bump into me around the place.
People seem to have answered your questions pretty well, but I'll recap:
1 There is almost no "normal" version of a furry, everyone seems to do it differently, so however you want to be furry is fine and both unique and normal at the same time XD
2 I think I once read that about 20% of furries are also fursuiters. That might be correct... though I know plenty who want a fursuit but can't afford them etc.
3 That definitely varies from one fur to another and we even have some interesting political debate here sometimes which is great (so long as it's kept civil).
4 Hmmm, I'd have to say that either making or appreciating art seems to be the MOST common, but roleplaying, creative writing, attending conventions and discussing "furry issues" are all very common.
5 There are lots of artists about who could help either for free or for a commission. Maybe check out this thread (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?board=53.0)!
6 Vibrating furry is a rank to show you have just joined. After that they are in alphabetical order. As you post on certain boards you will accrue a post count which progresses your rank. Not all boards count towards your post count though. Don't worry though, it doesn't mean anything special. Having a higher rank than someone else doesn't make you their boss or mean you're better than them etc. But if you like that sort of thing, it can be fun to see your title change periodically.
May I also add that I applaud your love of knowledge! Don't worry if you prefer to watch and learn more than post, there is a noble lurking tradition here! XP
Have fun! :3

#1: If you identify yourself as furry...you're furry! ^_^
#2: No. Considering how expensive they are and how difficult it is to make one, I'd say about 20% of furries own either a full or partial (I have a partial that I've been building upon each year)
#3: We have no one political standpoint. Furries come from all different political backgrounds.
#4: It differs from person to person. For me, I roleplay heavily on chat roleplay sites, I visit furry-based forums like this, I attend a furmeet up here in CT once a month and I go to Furpocalypse once a year.
#5: I'm not much of an artist. I'm more of a story writer/world builder.
#6: That's just a rank. The more you post, your rank will change.
