Well, it would be a good idea to go through the Rules (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?page=rules) and FAQ (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?page=faq). See if most of your questions are asked there. They're generally quite helpful and also give some direction perhaps where you want to go on this forum as well.
The General board is a good place to start. In fact, while you're on a furry forum, let me link you the topic: What is a furry? (https://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=16042.0)

Yes! I do like Homestuck.
Well, other than that and Furry, I do have an interst in otherkinisim/therianthropy. I also am a fan of Undertale and enjoy the cartoon Steven Universe as well. My favorite YouTubers are Aberguine, Kothorix, The Jackoon, I Hate Everything and A few other furries and Animation channels.
