Not sure if this is in thr right section XP
I was watching some videos on youtube about developing my fursona (I'm new to the furry world) and I heard free reference sheets mentioned a few times. Since I'm not the greatest at drawing I liked the idea and found one I particularly liked and coloured/edited it to be more like the character I had in mind
I was just wondering is this generally looked down on to use these, or is it perfectly alright? I've left the artist's tag on the bottom but I'm still not sure whether I can use this as my profile photo or if it is supposed to be used as a personal reference until I can commission or learn to draw my own to use.
Sorry if I sound clueless, I'm still learning everything and I don't want to do something that breaks an unspoken rule x_x

Ask the artist if it's okay to use the template, most of the time they're okay with it as long as you give credit.

Yes they are called free lineart. Specifically for those who need refs, ir any pictures.

Thanks guys ^_^ I will track down the artist and ask if it is okay. I tried to do my own digital drawing of my Fursona using paint but it turned out to be really terrible

You dont really need to ask if its free lineart, artist make those so anyone can use them. They usually have a watermark or something

Wow really? Thank you that would mean so much to me! Well my fursona is called Dorian. He is a feral ginger cat with white on his inner ears, tip of his tail and his toes. His eyes are blue with star shaped reflections and he also has a black star shaped marking on each hip. He has yellow hair which isn't long but the fringe kinda falls over his left eye and the rest is messy. Does that help? I'll attatxh the reference sheet /line art I edited that I wasn't sure if I could use, just so you can get the general idea (reference sheet was by ibeafluffehkitteh on deviant art)
