If I may ask, what sort of jobs are you looking for?
-
wiping down tables and cleaning up in general
-
How many restaurants have you applied to?
Maybe try approach them as a dish washer.
From personal experience, there's almost always a demand for someone good at washing dishes quickly.
-
Not really sure if it applies to that branch, but I remember that in school they used to tell us that the "best" way to possibly get a summer job somewhere was to ask around/apply for one during early spring since they tend to be in high demand. Could it be that you're simply out searching too late?

I might have found a possible job that is a 30 min walk from my house but it is at mcds so yeah

McDonalds is fine, I mean its money after all :P
Good luck though, I hope that works out for you

Good luck :D
Be sure to check out Goodwill/thrift stores for cheap dress clothes. Nice clothes new can get really expensive :X

Hope that goes well for you! ^^
You could always go door-to-door in your neighborhood (or in a neighborhood closeby) and either ring the doorbell or post a small form/letter/card stating what jobs you can do:
Gardening, cleaning cars, walking dogs, etc.
Something outside, something safe. Never head inside someone's house and make sure your parents or whoever knows when you are working in which area (just in case, depending where you live, if that makes sense).
Like for example: There are lots of flats where I live with dog owners and elderly who need to walk their dogs, but a lot need help with that, so younger people implore their help to walk the dogs instead.
And I used to wash cars, and there were two boys from the neighborhood who -a couple of years ago- asked if they could do garden stuff. We gave them our equipment and told them what to do and paid them afterwards.
So that's always a thing or so you could do if McDonald's doesn't work out or any other place :)
Btw: You could always check Elderly Homes as well to see if they could use any help at all.

I work at McDonald's. It's not as bad as you think it is and for me everyone is super awesome and friendly. They even know I'm a furry and really don't care at all bc most of the people at my store have had a rough life so to them furries are no big deal.
Once I applied I got a call back and for my interview I wore a collared shirt and cargo shorts you really don't have to go super fancy for a job interview at McDonald's.
