I wanted to warn people about this, this can really dangerous and needs to be shared. People may try to make a homemade glowstick only to receive a bomb that can really hurt or even kill them.
-
Thank you for sharing this... I seriously can't believe that some people would actually do that.
-
I just went to check it out. It's good that you warn people ^^
Very good you linked the thing as well.
Some people are really not in their right minds ._.
However, regardless, I do want to add a general warning as well: Glowsticks contain dangerous chemicals eitherway. Whether it's these "glowsticks" or the real dea, I would suggest not making any of your own to begin with.
That said, if a glowstick you have bought breaks and it gets on your skin or whatever, be sure to rinse it off very well, as it might irritate your skin. Or if it gets anywhere else, be sure to rinse there as well.

Holy hell... They are made a nerve agent for political supporters?! I'm no chemist, but its a tweeked version of "chlorine gas" that was used in ww1 (can't remember the actual name.) its also weaker. Someone is playing terrorist. :o and I should know as I've made some crazy things in the past... (some by accident and others not. But I knew never to try a bloody nerve agent...)
-
It's true, they put these warnings on the packaging. As for the "Bernie Bombs". It's just proof that chemistry should be left to the chemists. It's very dangerous to mess with chemicals when you don't know what you're doing.

What. The. **censor**.
I study Biological and Chemical Warfare.. Whenever someone starts with chlorine ANYTHING, something is up. I'm strongly against Senator Sanders, but this is way WAY too far.
The number one thing that pisses me off more than anything is the use or attempted use, research, manufacture, or stockpiling of chemical weapons or their precursors with or without intent of deploying them on civilians. Given the chance, I would beat to death anyone using, attempting to use, or planning to use them on or around civilians.

I second that good sir

You'll be feelin' the bern alright.

Look, it isn't appropriate to make any jokes when WMDs are involved. And trust me, we do NOT want people to figure out their potential. Let me put it this way, if done right (which is easy) a single biological attack is much, much more dangerous than a nuclear attack. And I see chemicals as the gateway to biologicals.

This isn't a weapon of mass destruction, i just found a video of it and a lot of pressure builds up, and blows up. I'm adding comic relief to my taste. Chill

hate to tell you but i know exactly what item it is missing to be seen as a "W.M.D."
and i understand where you are coming from but i have to say that something like this in the hands of most Americans will be catastrophic no matter how you look at it, most people do not have the common sense or knowledge of what they are potentially making, i actually had a coworker start the process of making napalm, and that guy is a master mechanic. although it was an accident he could have hurt a lot of people.

NBCRWs are WMDs. Chlorine is a chemical weapon. There is no comedy in this matter. Check out WWI stats and you'll see just what first generation agents can do. And remember, there were no nerve agents back there.
BCW is a Pandora box we must keep sealed.

Just because a weapon uses chemicals doesn't make it a weapon of mass destruction. Unless it can cause death on a massive scale, It's just a chemical weapon. WWI used Chlorine gas, not chlorine bombs. The "bombs" being made release that small amount of gas immediately over a large area. The only way to get hurt is to hold the bottle, and if you're dumb enough to try a science experiment with a presidential candidate as the face then that's your fault. You're on the internet, if you can't take a joke then that's your issue. You're only on this earth for so long, if you're gonna be a tightwad all your life then what mark did you leave? I'm gonna enjoy my limited time here, and that's that. Now I'm done arguing this, ill take the warning level.

Locked by OP request. This thread was meant to bring awareness to the specific hazard, not to start a debate on what classifies as a WMD.
