Title: AC 2008 - im skeptical. i need some input please

alright. i know its a ways away, so i figured i might as well ask now WAY in advance. me and a few fellow furs are going to be attending AC in Pennsylvania this upcoming year. one of our buddies in particular has overheard much about different conventions that we both have been to...and is wanting to go this year, to get a feel for it. he's not a fur...he doesnt really think that cartoon animals are groovy...but he has taken a small interest in just wanting to know about it.

why am i skeptical you ask? well...of his suggestion i guess. he is wanting to go to AnthroCon as a "wookie". keep in mind, hes not a star wars addict by any means.

i guess what im asking is..."WHAT DO OTHER PEOPLE THINK OF THIS??"    arf

If you think it's a good idea, go for it. I'm going to try to go to Morphcon up in Columbus next May.

indeed...go to the AC with him. He'll get a good idear of what a fur is.

But i'm not sure if dressing up as a wookie is a good idear...seeming he's not a Star Wars fan ~big arrow pointing to me says Star Wars nerd~they quite possibly ask him to do a Wookie call XD ...but hey a Wookie makes for a great carpet XD

but it's up to him if he wants to be  Wookie

i didnt know furcons where for fursuiters only ???

I've never been to one, but I'm pretty sure a fursuit isn't required if you don't want to wear one.

Yea then only furs with money t spend on one wouldn't be fair...

a fursuit can cost $500-$3,000

He should go, he'll have fun even if he's not a fur :3  I have a couple non-furry friends who went to this year's AC and enjoyed themselves.

AC does look fun, my mate sent me a few pics of when he went to this years one and it looked really good. I especially liked the fursuits two of his friends had, they were really cute ^^. I've never been myself although I'm going to 08 with my mate, provided I get my passport and cash sorted out. Which should be easy seeing as how many months away it is
