Why did you pick your username? I'm very curious because some people usernames are very confusing to figure out on your own. XD
I picked PixelyPixel on my minecraft untill people stole it ;-; .I thought of YourUnknownHost because i was watching clue at the time and after a couple days of thinking about it it stuck to me.

It all started with this guy:

I was such a fan of Mick Thomson, that I bought his signature Ibanez, which has his number (SEVEN) in the inlays. I still own and love this guitar, even after all of these years.Up until this point, I had been using my gamer tag on all forums, whether or not the forum had anything to do with gaming. After this, I started going by some variation of Seven; Seven on smaller forums, otherwise Se7en or Sieben.At a similar time, I needed a respectable email address that was memorable but unique, so I went for "The Montgomery Incident". I thought that it sounded super cool (and I honestly still think so).To maintain a consistent identity online, I then started using MontgomerySeven everywhere. This later morphed into "Sev Montgomery".Deciding that Sev had to be short for something, I drew Inspiration from the Roman Severan Dynasty (hence "Severus"). Continuing with the theme of historical figures, I added the middle name "Alexander", and simply adopted Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery for the last part.Hence: Severus Alexander Montgomery. Some of you may also have noticed that my 'sona has an M7 on his racing leathers. That was a play on Montgomery Seven and the N7 program from Mass Effect. You can see it has the same styling.

It's all pretty convoluted, but I'm fond of how it all turned out.

Mine's a mix. Proto is short for prototype because he's the first of his kind. And Triose is Kaalin's last name; Kaalin is a very wise, empathic, and caring individual that left his people to set out on his own and follow a dream he had. He's more than capable in a fight, though he prefers it not come to that. I just thought it was fitting. -^.^-

Ulvus is a mix between the Latin word for wolf (lupus) and the Danish word for wolf (ulv). Lumia is just Latin for Lime XP

Rocco just popped into my head one night as I was trying to get to sleep.
My other fursona, Kyr'am, has a little back story. In a wolf RP, I chose it for the character. I kind of knew I needed a second fursona, and Kyr'am popped into my mind. Kyr'am is Mandalorian for death. I wonder what he is like...

I use D_Rainbow12346 for nearly everything because I like rainbows. And the numbers don't have any meaning, they're there to make it more unique so I can use the name.

My username is pretty obvious:
Mu is the Greek letter M
Alpha is the Greek letter A
And Chi is the Greek letter C though the symbol for it is the X in maths (forward c and backward c) I chose to use that as the Greek letter for X is Xi and that didn't sound as cool
Basically when written out in the symbols my username spells Max which is my name.

It's from an anime called Wolf's rain.
I first used it on a forum I used to hang on when I was ~12-13, and it kinda stuck.
I didn't really have any specific reason for picking it, I just happened to have a creepy guy net-stalking me and wanted to try and shake him off by creating a new "internet identity" and start over from scratch. I also happened to be mildly obsessed with that anime at the time so it just kinda happened.
Since it's not an original creation it's sometimes not available tho, and then I go by Chezana instead, like for example on FA.
And that's just Cheza with the last two letters of my real name added.
Yup, I'm soooooo creative.

I got the name form a old Wing Commander game. One of the characters nick name was Maniac becourse of his flying. And its the name I use everywhere i can, or if its taken i usealy throws Dx in front. The Dx coms from when I needet to make Xbox account, and Maniac was taken. At the time I watched a lot of wrestling and DgenerationX had just reformed, so thats where that comes from.

For me I wanted it to be relevant to the furry-ness and still relevant elsewhere. Since my fursona is a bat, I used Vampyrum, due to the Vampyrum Spectrum bats. I actually have a couple different usernames depending on where, but I figured I'd make this ones (and similar or same name on other fur sites) relevant to that. Didn't want to go as easy as an actual name or something, because character/sona names are liable to change in theory.

I'm still searching for a really good username.
I started off calling myself Heroic Fox at the time it's what I called myself in another forum.
From there I used Firox as my name since it's what Cecilia came up with, combination of fire and fox.
More and more recently been more than just fire for me so Firox wouldn't fit me too well anymore. Just searching for a good fox name. For now, I just been using Foxy and which ever element I happen to be (fire, ice, water, psychic, fairy for example)

"Costas" in Spanish means "coasts" as in ocean coasts, and since I'm half Latino and I feel most home at the beach, it just made sense.

Spike was originally named for my werewolf "fursona" wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy back in 2006 before I even knew about the fandom but enjoyed creative writing and art for anthro characters. A play on generic dog's name fitting a character with large teeth who I used in many stories.
Eventually, Spike became my official fursona when I switched to a desert fox and then to a coyote a few years ago. He's maintained his signature fanged teeth and his name ever since.

I got mine from my dog. She was an old English bulldog and her name was iris which is also the name of the greek goddess of rainbows so that's where I got rainbowbulldog. I use it for almost everything.

I broke internet rules with mine. Initial of first with full last. if some one wants my identity they are welcome to deal with the debt collectors. I could use the break. as for the finish. well. It's my mental state. The worlds worst five digit combination. Little mixed up and some parts missing.
Of course i am talking about my full name. Ron is just what i shortened it to cause i was bored.

Was listening one of my fave songs and it suddenly hit me and it's stuck with me ever since.

"Ambr" comes from "amber" because that's the color of her markings, and I added the "ix" at the end to make it sound cool and more unique.
But even though I may have had poor judgement of what made things cool, the name stuck.

Just thought Freya was a cool name until I looked her up and discovered who she was connected to. I changed her name to Freya which is the modern form of the name Freyja. Storm was chosen because it just seemed to fit her first name

Firefly has always been my online name after the release of the owl city song "fireflies". Stuck with me ever since. ^_^

I love Metal Gear Solid, it's the first game I ever played. so I thought it would be cleaver if I made my name into MetalGearStowe since that has a nice little ring to it. But I was given the nickname Brodie from some of my friends for being a history buff, and if you know your history Brodie derives from the Brodie Helmet worn by the British and Americans during the first World War.
Edit: Should I change my name to Brodie? Or keep it MetalGearStowe?

To be honest, I kind of stole this name from someone else. There was someone on another forum named John Grey Beard. I though it was really cool, and since my name is also John, but my beard isn't gray (yet), I started calling myself John Red Beard.
Before that, I was always JohnRaptor, a name I picked when I got my first AOL account, the same year the original Jurassic Park came out. I still have that name on my DA account and a few other places.

Ryouko was a name I always liked, I got called some stupid names because they thought I was a weeaboos but I honestly just like the name, not because its Japanese. Before Ryouko, my fursona's name was Alai, which is my real-life nickname my dad gave me.

I was trying to come up with a name for my fursona, so I decided to throw Bad Wolf into google translate, because I imagined him as a mischievous kind of person, and because he's a wolf, (It's also a Doctor Who reference) and Bad Wolf in Japanese is Baddourufu.

Well... I couldnt choose between 2 names, Sylath and Argorok, Sooo.... someone helped me out and came up with the name: Argrath. I said ok and now it's my name XD XD XD

I joined with the name Crocoliopottimus. I got this name from Ammut The Devourer. A god in Egyptian mythology that is a mix between a crocodile, a lion and a hippopotimus. This was later shortened to Crocoli and would become my fursona's surname.
Salakar came when I was creating my fursona. I didn't know what to name it and I eventually just started writing random groups of letters startin with sa. Sa is my first two initials, so that's why I started the name with that. Eventually I ended up with Salakar after probably like 50 names.
And there is was. Salakar Crocoli became my name for this forum and my fursona.

A few reasons, actually.
Firstly, I love roses. Think they're beautifuls!
Secondly, there is a video game that I adore where a certain rebel something something and another rebellion something something is easily communicated through the phrase "Wild Rose". I made up a character based on the color scheme of a rose. And because I love that game so much, I added 'Wild' to the beginning of their name. Wildrose, or Rose to close friends. Xp

I was interested in the furry community so I wanted to know more about cons and such. A news channel actually shed some light on it. And I was shocked at the diverse range of people at these conventions. So I combined "Fur", "Diverse" and "Community" to make Vurzzity. I've loved it since.

I was drinking ginger ale, and I needed a username. So I made my username Ginger Ale.
It also means "Peace and Prosperity" in Latin! (not really) (duh)

I was reading Wolves of the Beyond, and there's a part where a bear makes up a name.
He calls himself Ishodd, and I'm all like, "I should totally make up a name!"
So I dropped the odd, and thought, "You know, I like Japanese names. I'll add jin to it, why not?"
So there was Ishjin, but I didn't like it that much, so I was all like, "Random letter to add, hmmmm. How about an N?"
BOOM! Nishjin was born!

Well, my username comes from my fursona, but I made that by going to google translate and typing in things that made me think of him. After pondering what to throw into translate for a little while, I decided on the word mirror, since Vant's personality was supposed to "Mirror" a large part of my personality. Then I decided to translate it into Romanian, one of my favorite languages to name my ocs in. According to google translate "Mirror" in Romanian was "Oglinda" which I thought sounded awesome. Then I began to think of what his last name should be and decided to see what "Wind" looked like Romanian, which ended up being "Vant" and might I add, Vant had been one of my favorite names ever. Turns out, coincidentally enough, when you put the two words "Mirror Wind" into Romanian via Google Translate it switches the words to make it look like it should say "Wind Mirror" or "Vant Oglinda".
I decided that it was cool enough and just kinda made Vant be his first name and Oglinda his last. Jeez, there are a lot of quotations in there XD
(Though, I'm gonna be honest here, technically Oglinda is spelled Oglindă.)

Forgot to mention that my last name, Hlao, came from another book I was reading called Watership Down.
One of the character's nicknames was Hlao-Roo.
Hlao was cool, so why not?

Mine came after an old friend of mine called me Ginger Root all the time. To this day I don't understand why but one day I was creating a gamer tag and wanted something that seemed catchy.
I obviously wasn't going to call myself ginger root in videos games considering I hated being called ginger root. So I created G-Root. The reason I hyphen G-Root is because I originally spelled it Groot. People always called me Groot and constantly had to explain the proper way.
I became so attached to the name that I eventually have my fursona the name and added Liska to be his last name.
Liska is a combination of List and Task. Considering I'm the type of person to always having so many tasks and lists to go with the tasks.

My username here (I have a lot of different usernames for other sites) is main from my fursona, Nyro. But there's more backstory to it. His name used to be spelled "Kniro", and I remember when I searched that up in images, there was this weird hat that said "DJ KNIRO" on it. It kind of became an inside joke between me and my friends. Even though I changed the spelling of his name now (because people kept pronouncing it like "Nero" which was annoying me, and people still sometimes do . . .) DJ Nyro still kind of stuck.
Sometimes on sites I used "TJ Nyro" which was a mix of "DJ Nyro" and "TJ-Otter" (my DA username), but one of my friends really liked "DJ Nyro" for some reason so I kind of use that more with recently-made accounts.
