Title: Sneaking Game bosses
Post by: Ori on April 21, 2016, 10:07:35 PM
So in a 'stealth' game you hide. When was the last time you fought a boss that you actually needed to take out in a stealthy fashion... And not like this:

(I'm studying stealth game bosses, just out of curiosity to see what it could/should be.)

When a boss is too difficult for me to beat head-on, I'll usually resort to stealth in order to defeat him.

One boss that comes in mind is the "Ghost" from Bioshock Infinite, because she spawns so many guys and is really powerful and she can teleport, I had to spend a lot of time hiding and sneaking up on her

Does cheesing bosses in Demon's Souls with poison cloud count? If so, then I'm a stealth master  B)

Stealth bosses are hard to make as you'd need to have a clever stealthy way to beat said boss.

Also c'mon MGS is all about "Stealth, Espionage, Action" Can't have that if there's no action in it.

On another note, I've heard Thief had good stealth bosses, apparently. I dunno though, never experienced them first hand really.
