Title: Greetings from England
Post by: Pegu on March 23, 2016, 11:24:56 AM
Hello there any and all. I am Pegulsus, or some call me Peg or Pegu for short, but my real name is James - A 22 year old guy living in England.

I'm not to sure where to put myself when it comes to the Furry fandom due to my lifelong social ineptness, thanks to my aspergers - as I have long viewed and enjoyed the art, videos, pictures of fursuiters and other furry media, but always remained on the outside. Even when it comes to the largest convention I attend (London MCM Comic Con) where there are usually many fursuiters roaming around I can never bring myself to ask for a photo, usually relying on my boyfriend to snap things for me.

So I suppose all that leads into why I'm joining a Furry forum now - I need more people I can talk to. The number of people I knew and was comfortable with has slowly been withering down, where I'm now able to count friends and contacts on one hand and it's not healthy for me, I know it, and my boyfriend worries often that I'm too lonesome, as he can't be around all the time.

Well that was fairly glum. Maybe I should try some nicer things;

Like what I like! I like computer games and computer gaming in most forms and I can almost always be found on Steam losing myself in various fantasy worlds. Some favourites of mine include Guild Wars 2, Undertale, Path of Exile and Ori and the Blind Forest (from which I've based my fursona) and I'm not a very competitive player but that doesn't stop me from occasionally playing League of Legends too!

For movies I usually enjoy more comical films in any genre or animated films - as such I'm looking forward to Zootopia arriving to cinemas in the UK, or Zootopolis as it will be called here. Music interests are uhh, incredibly wide and varied to say the least, but I mostly enjoy game OST's.

One more thing I am interested in is roleplay, though I'm not sure how good I'd be at it, I may like to try it sometime.

Wow that was long, maybe a TL;DR is needed:

TL;DR - Shy 22 year old guy finally stepping into the furry fandom in hopes of finding friends and like-minded people.

Welcome to the forum! I'm a gamer myself,  mostly on my ps4 for the time being. I am also a fan of animated movies and can't wait to see Zootopia when it's on dvd (not a theater fan)

Heya. Not much of a cinema person myself, but England is already getting it something like a solid month after the States and the internet is already a spoiler minefield, so I gotta see it at earliest opportunity!

And uhm, for role playing, it'll probably take me a while to work up the courage to go in there.  :$

Will try my best, but it can take some time for my shell to crack.

Bring a coat! It's perpetually overcast here. Seriously - I think last year Summer had about 2 weeks worth of sunnyish days, then nothing.  :)

Not much different from Seattle I guess.
Except last summer we had heat wave - 3 weeks
It does tend to get very overcasted the other seasons

Wonderful English weather going on outside my window right now - Beautifully sunny! But if you go out there you'll be more than a bit chilled!  XD

Oh yeah - I prefer the colder weather any day. Easier to put on more layers, nothing much to be done if it's too hot though.  ^_^
