The world is dead... ((CLOSED))
Velox: Me, HollowofHaze
ARK: Arcizo, Madness, Alka
Lupus: Red, Sandor, Ray.
Global warming growing worse, deadly diseases and viruses spreading to anthro's and ferals... The world now dead. Everyone fled to the Ark, Velox, Lupus... three ships sending out into space holding the last of the anthro's. After many generations. Scientist discovered earth now able to hold anthro life as the ships began to give out... only those lucky few would be chosen to go back to earth in hopes to save anthro kind.

Weapons: long crystalline double sword (can be taken apart making it dual swords), and traditional ammo AR

Extra Info: Galen's species was once known for their ability to move quickly and efficiently in the open skylines of Earth. Aboard a station, however, this reputation fades steadily. Wings have no function when skies are replaced with titanium hulls and halls. Instead, he was given time to test what other capabilities he was given as a species. He has retained the strength to maintain verticality of movement, and dark regions pose no issues when confronted.

It was the day... The day the few anthro's would be chosen to return to earth where their ancestors once lived. Anthro's and some feral's gathered around in the large lobbies. The crowd in both lupus and Velox looking at the large screen above. Two from each station would be chosen today. However Ark not yet to participate, as they believed there was a way to save the stations and all anthro's aboard them... This was impossible as energy was only limited, materials were running low, stations damaged, they would soon learn the horrible truth that there was no way.
Zaida the only Vexū stayed in the back, she was part of Velox. Her arms crossed over her breasts, leaning on the metal wall. Her teal glowing eyes focused at the large hologram screen. The crowd murmured quietly, waiting...

Galen sat beside several other residents on a bench overlooking the courtyard. He'd been sure to apply for returning to Earth as soon as the offer had come up. It was a once in a lifetime (or rather, once in several lifetimes) opportunity, and he wasn't going to miss out. As the hologram screen prepped for the presentation, he tucked his wings close to his back, making sure he wouldn't rub against another nearby person in an awkward moment. His fingers ran across the scratched surface of his necklace.

Ray was inside Lupus station, eating a small, freeze-dried sandwich. He was waiting for his briefing on the Earth expedition. Ray signed up as soon as he could, he always wanted to go to Earth.

The lobby fell silent as the robotic voice spoke out. "Zaida.." before there was a pause "Galen... Thank you both for signing up." Anthro's looked about for the two, many already spotting the Vexū as she was the only one of her kind on board Velox. "Please report to the office for further instructions, thank you for your patients." Anthro's clapped for the two.
However it was still silent in station Lupus. Anthro's looked at the names from Velox showed up on the screen not knowing of the anthro's, the stations were like completely different worlds. They however waited for anthro's (or ferals) to be called in their station. Some looking about nervously, small whispers heard about...

He heard his name called, and raised his eyes to view the hologram once more. He had actually been picked, something he hadn't thought possible. Receiving a pat on the back from someone near him, he gave a slight smile, waiting for the remaining selection.

Ray sighed, finished with his sandwich, and looked about. Wonder when we're gonna get told about the Earth exped.

Zaida stood straight as she looked at her name on the screen. She walked through the crowd, carefully towards the platform up front as it would rise to the office.
Lupus station screen showed Velox a those who where chosen. The crowd obviously didn't know the two "Zaida" and "Galen" as the stations where like completely different worlds to eachother. The crowd, like Velox was quiet, eyes focused to the screen. Before the robotic voice spoke again listing the three. "Red" "Neko" "Ray" "thank you all for signing up, please report to the office for further instructions" anthro's clapped for the three, looking around for the two anthro's and feral.

The hologram screen still showed the names called "to all the lucky guests, please report to the main office in your station...thank you all for signing up." the robotic voice repeated before the screen in both lupus and Velox went black. Anthro's continued to clap to those who were chosen.
Zaida didn't plan to do much she didn't have family nor friends here on the station. Squeezing through the anthro's she continued towards the elevator taking it up to the office.

Galen's parents would have been proud. At least, if he had known them. You wouldn't think it would be possible to be anonymously orphaned on a station. It seems that his parents had achieved the impossible.
With a sigh, he got up from the courtyard bench, heading to the nearest elevator. He didn't want to keep some very important people waiting on him.

Ray sighed, and walked to the nearest elevator, taking it to the main station office.

The anthro's began to break away continuing what they were doing in the beginning. Making it easier to head up to the office. Zaida entered the elevator giving a small sigh as she waited for it to go up.

Weapon: .440 Cor Bon Desert Eagle with tactical red dot sight and a crystal scalpel. It's not really a weapon, but it can make a decent cut if it needs to.

Ray sighed, and walked to the nearest elevator, taking it to the main station office.

"Wait for me!" A mechanical voice called out as the door to the elevator was about to close. It was neko, who had fallen asleep when they were calling people's names. She just managed to squeeze into the elevator before it closed and collapsed on the ground at Rat's feet.

Galen entered the elevator, pressing the appropriate button before taking a moment to collect his thoughts. He had been chosen, yet he wasn't overly joyous. His journey had just begun. Upon reaching the correct floor, he remembered that he was not the only one selected from this station. They must have gone ahead of him. He'd be interested to see who(or what) Zaida was.

Alka was sitting in his room on the Ark spaceship. He knew fully well that today was when they would send furity's last hope back down to earth. And he wanted to be among them. But alas, the people of Ark live under the delusion that there is another way out of this mess. He sighed to himself, flicking through the pages of an old book. If it came down to it, he wouldn't mind at least attempting to seak out to the planet's surface. Providing there was a way there...

As anthro's waited at ark, one would be chosen. Still the superiors on board eager to find a way to save the station. Again there was no use. As the screen turned on anthro's gathered about looking up. "Alka" the robotic voice said. "Thank you for signing up, please report to the office immediately" anthro's clapped just like Velox and lupus slowly returning to what they were doing.
The elevator stopped, doors sliding open to the hallway. The Vexū started walking down the hall towards the office up ahead.the door slid open sensing her presence allowing her to enter. It was a polar bear, grizzly mixed. Sitting on the chair and giving a nod for her to sit. Waiting for the other that was called, Galen.

Alka's ears perked up and he sighed happily. "Music to my ears..." He rose and began making his way to the office, exiting his room and walking down the hallway before pressing the button for the elevator and waiting. I wonder what the others are going to be like. Considering how we're going to 'save' furity, I hope none of them will be too difficult to get along with. I sure hope I'M not to difficult to get along with.

The elevator played its simply tone as the doors opened to a relatively blank hallway. Walking swiftly to stay somewhat prompt, he made his way through the automatic doors to what appeared to be an office. Seeing a single vacant chair, he gave a swift apology for his lateness before sitting.

"So you are the two, Galen an Zaida supporting Velox" The Grolar bear had said in a gruff his brown muzzle having some grey hairs showing he was an old man. "Thank you both for signing up, we have gathered equipment and suits. Currently in the deck where the pods are being prepared" he sniffed. "Before we head down there is there any questions?" He asked.

Once the elevator doors opened, Alka continued down the hallway and took a seat in the office.

A blue falcon with silver black design walked in. "Hello Alka, pleased to meet you." he put out a hand to shake. "Arcizo was called as well... He should be hear"
Zaida thought for a moment before she shook her head. "No" she spoke.
"Ok good good. Come on you two, follow me" the growler said.

Rising from his chair and readjusting his sleeves slightly, Galen continued a few steps behind Zaida, curious to see where they might be headed for preparations to go planetside.

Alka stood up and shook the falcon. "The pleasure is mine, sir."

(Sorry if I seem rude I'm trying to be active more. I would like this to last. A couple hours is fine but days... )
heading down the hall they went on a platform as it slowly made its way down to the bottom, the deck where it held all the pod ships.
He nods with a light smile "we could head to the pods now. I suppose he can meet us at the deck, come on" the falcon said kindly.

Alka followed, fairly excited about what was happening. He smiled, but it was more of a dumb grin. "You sure he'd know where to go?"

"The guards down the hall will escort him" the falcon replied. "He'll make it" they went on a platform, sliding down to the deck below.

Alka nodded and waited for the platform to hit the bottom. "So, any idea on the system they use to pick the candidates?"

"We're headed down already?" he asked.
"I am assuming we;ve been provided with proper equipment and the like?"

"Well that's just random... However we do check through the sheets to make sure each is capable to go to earth, if not we shred them" the falcon said. "Besides its very rare to be picked, only a few pods... Your lucky"
"yes, in the papers you've signed... it told us all your info allowing us to make suits, along with info for weapons that your comfortable using, and each kit having a good amount of food and small health kits. Besides we cannot provide a lifetime of supplies. The whole point is to adapt to earth..." Th Grolar gruffed.

Knowing that just made Alka smile wider. "I would've though you'd select people based off of our information sheets. You know, give natural selection a good start. But, considering how I'm usually the one to pick the shortest stick out of the bunch, I'm happy for one random chance event to have gone in my favour"

"Oh trust me, I'll be taking my time adapting" Galen said. "It would be nice to get some open spaces, if you know what I mean." He shuffled his wings slightly to prove his point.
He turned to look at the other volunteer, Zaida. "What gave you the idea to sign up?" he asked.

Arcizo headed up the nearest elevator. After stepping out, he cluelessly walked down the corridor not knowing where he was going.

(Ok, sorry finals got in the way but anyways I'll be more active. Also I'm gonna hurry the hell up and get us to earth...The station shit is boring)
"I joined because I rather not stay here, waiting for death. I also believe I'm capable for this mission... You?" She asked the winged lion.
"Well I'm glad you are, however don't be so excited... earth isn't the way it was way it use to be, it's been generations. It's changed. It could be a suicide mission." He said stopping in front of the pod the scientists worked on three bags beside it, and materials already packed into the small ship.
The guard walked with Jack stopping at the elevator that opened to reveal Arcizo. "There you are, your both late, follow me the captain is downstairs." The albino aligator said with a growl.
And orca walked with Red, Ray, and Neko. "Sorry I get a bit impatient... Just a bit stressed." His voice was deep but sometimes a squeak would end his sentence. "Down in the deck holds your pod with items along with your weapons, and suits of course." He said with a smile.

He gestured madness and Arcizo. Starting down into the deck the doors sliding open to show the pod being prepared. A blue falcon, The captain talking to Alka. "Here you are..."

"Ohhh uhhhh hi there." 'slight wave.' "I'm Jack... Jack Napier." 'holds out hand.'

The falcon turned and gave a kind smile "nice to see you two caught up". He gave a strong grip but was gentle as he shook jacks paw, aware of his sharp claws careful not to harm the lad.

Yeah this kind guard showed me here. 'points at the guard.'

Seeing the others arrive, Alka looked them up and down. This might be better than k anticipated. These guys seem nice. Come Alka, where are your manners? Alka walked up to Arcizo, seeing that Jack was busy with the falcon, and held out his paw in greeting. "Hi, my name is Alka. We're going to be exploration mates it seems. Hope it isn't too difficult to survive down there."

"Kind? Well that's the first" he chuckled releasing his hand. He watched Alka approach to introduce. Turning to the engineers he watch them prepare the pod.

"ummmmm are we going down in that." 'scratches my head.'

He nods. "Well of course what other way would you all get to earth..." The falcon chuckled continuing to watch the pod be prepared.

"is there any native life on this earth?"

"I wanted a new life." He answered, almost in a spoken sigh. "It would be nice to see what I was born to do, since my family hasn't flown properly for centuries."

"No natives. There was too much radiation, the weather was too strong, ect. But there is life form, ferals, and plants. However You all will be the only anthro's there..."
"Seems like a reasonable thing." The Vexū said.
Th Grolar looked at them. "If you may both of you get ready, your suits should be in the duffle bags" he said. "After we'll strap you up and shoot you off to earth.."

"Fair enough. Thanks for the opportunity of a lifetime" said Galen.
"However short my lifetime may be."
Opening the bags to find a black insertion suit, he tried to get everything in order as quickly as possible. Wings were always a pain to deal with.

Arcizo was silent. He nervously held out his paw to meet Alka's, trying to smile. He doesn't talk much if at all, he was never really social.

Alka had a firm grip, but after the shake was done, he decided to press for information. "This is usually the part where you say, 'Hello, my name is...' fyi."

Arcizo felt embarrased, "uh, m-my name is... Ar-Arcizo" he replied, quietly.

"Arcizo, ey? Not a bad name. Very unique. Best learn to talk often, because we'll need communication down there." Alka smiled and then turned to Jack, now extending his paw towards him instead.

Zaida dressed in her custom suit which the scientist and armory created. Basing off the info on sheets she filled out like others who signed up, the Vexū was very pleased. She looked around in the bag before closing it back up and hanging it onto her shoulder.
The Grolar looked at the two. "Good, now let's get you both ready" he said the pod door opening with a hiss.
The falcon watched them, pleased. The pod finally finished and duffle bags set in the table beside them from a engineer. "After your little chit chat, suit up and the engineers will put you in the pod." He was walking off to talk with a guard.
Lupus was ready red, Neko, and Ray in their custom suits the pods nearly done.

Galen nodded at the statement, stepping forward to the insertion pod's door.

'shakes his hand.' "hi I'm Jack and I was hoping for natives honestly they would have been useful." 'gives a evilish grin flashing the scars on my cheeks.' "if you know what for." 'releases his hand and starts to put on my suit.' "I wish I could have one more my style this is just so bland but sadly it would have went against regulations and such sorts." 'finishes and steps into my pod.' "any last words."

Arcizo started to suit up.

Zaida stepped into the pod, an engineer strapping them up. The pod now prepared it closed the door, sealing it shut and vibrating lightly. The bear gave a wave through the small window before walking back to a safe distance.
The orca, leader of lupus watched the three get in their pod, He gave a light sigh. The pod sealing and beginning to vibrate.
"All are online, let's try an hurry up. Don't want them to wait" the falcon said looking at the terminal.
All the stations were connected with deck info. "Velox ready, lupus Ready, Ark Loading" showed on the screen. Once each pod was ready. Velox would shoot first, Ark, then lastly lupus.

"lets make this quick I want to see how these feral's are."

After suiting up, Arcizo stepped into the pod carefully and nervously.

After finishing his greetings with Jack, Alka suited up and quickly aimed down the sight of his pistol. "Not bad at all..." Once he holstered the pistol he stepped into the pod and strapped himself in.

"Velox ready, ARK ready, Lupus Ready" the terminal on the screen of all stations had posted.
As Velox stopped at a small jolt as it was exposed outside of the station. Blackness, and stars surrounding... The pod vibrated more building up energy to blast. '5...4...3...2...1' the robotic voice seem to speak the Velox pod blasting away from the station down to the green planet, earth.
Speaker 'velocity pod successful'
ARK pod began to vibrate as well the count down instead beeps as the stations were different. Three fast beeps, two fast beeps, and one before blasting. Ahead a circle and to their left, the Velox pod.

Lastly lupus, however was no count down as the pod vibrated before blasting, a small circle ahead, and one even farther, both pods ahead and to their right

(If your having a hard time explains they all blasted off to earth, Velox in front the middle, The second is ARK to Veloxs' right, and lastly Lupus the very left of both. somewhat triangle formation)

'i grab the sides of my pod as it jolted around and I laughed.' "woooohoooo lets goooooo."

Alka sat calmly. "Just gonna pray that nothing malfunctions. Or that Earth is at least somewhat happy to see us again."

"Hopefully we manage to land in the daylight" he said. "I'd hate to see what else comes out at night in our first few hours on the planet."

The ships fell now in earths armosphere, it shook roughly.
Velox hit a large tree beginning to spin out of control having the two inside push against the pod, the glass shattering. Flying past a mountain and tumbling before it was stopped by some rocks and a few tree's.
Ark hitting the side of the mountain and rolling down, eventually slowed down by strong plants, growing on the mountain's side.
Lupus hit flat land, water inches deep making a splash. They were mile or so away from the mountain...the impact of the crash strong, making the three jolt back in their seats.

'hits my pod door after the ride down the side I'm still a little dizzy.' "wow that was fun but shouldn't these open up for us or do we have to pry them open?"

Galen's ears were ringing from the shock of impact. Checking his arms, wings, and legs for injuries, he found nothing broken. A large cut along his right forearm bled a moderate amount, but it wasn't anything life threatening... even if it hurt considerably. Prying himself to a sitting position, he looked to his side at Zaida.
"Are you alright? Can you move?" He asked, shuffling his wings in order and moving to pick up his armaments from where they lay.

Zaida was tangles in her straps one tightly around her leg, a cut on the shoulder and eyebrow. "MYea... Just a few cuts, uncomfortable position" She groaned grabbing the small blade and cutting the strap having her fall "Oouf!..."

"Hello anyone out there!" 'i beat on the pod door.' "how does this piece of junk work!"

Stepping over to his fallen companion, he offered a hand to pull her to a standing position, looking over his shotgun with the other hand. The steel outer casing of the red dot sight had been dented, although the impact had not made its way to the lens. He quickly hung the weapon over his shoulder.
"Pretty rough landing, don't you think?" he asked, looking over the Vexu's cuts and bloodied fur.

She got to her feet, Zaida wiping the black blood off her shoulder. only smear it a bit more. She sighed with her ears laid back. "Yea...probably didn't have time to work on that. At least we aren't dead." She huffed grabbing her duffle bag.

"True... if that's anything to celebrate"
Galen proceeded to shoulder his own bag, hearing the slight ringing tone of the crystal lonsword inside. Hopefully ceramics tech would hold up just as well as steel.
"Pretty sure that blood might come out a bit easier with some water... though we might want to keep what we've got. Maybe we'll boil some tonight, and deal with the bloodstains then. Try not to get a cut infected if you can".

Arcizo was holding his head after violently hitting it on the pods inner wall. "Gahh..." He expressed quietly.

"ohhhh crap I forgot about him." 'turns around and kneels next to Arcizo.' "are you okay?"

Ray groaned, and looked about. "How do you open this thing?" He had been asleep during the launch, and wasn't sure anyone was with him.

Alka had managed to sustain minimal damage and disorientation thanks to his suit. He grunted as he got up, still a little dizzy from all the spinning and jolting about. "Oof... I think it might be voice activated... Erm..." Alka raised his voice slightly as he spoke the command. "Open pod doors?"

"Trust me I won't get an infection. Besides its just a small cut nothing too serious.." She got to the door. "...Open pod doors." the pod door creaked and Zaida pushed at the same time, popping it off as it was dented covered in scratches from the crash. She stumbled but caught herself from falling, now standing on earths soil.
As Alka spoke commands, The door made a sound of creaking and scrapping before opening slightly showing the tree that was blocking.

While holding his head, Arcizo shook his head a bit, causing more pain, as if to say no. He felt very dizzy and developed a very big head ache.

"If you say so"
He shrugged his shoulder to readjust his pack, unshouldering his shotgun to check its chamber. Loaded. He had no idea how old the ammo was, although it looked fine enough.
"Any idea which direction we should head off in?"

"Should say where the other pods are at in the the Velox pod. We should stick together however it would be faster to split up." She said. "Lupus is south east of us, Ark is North and the farthest it seems. What do you think?" She asked.

"Let's stay together. Last thing we need is for one of us to be stranded or something. Honestly, when it comes to seeing out the others, it really depends on who would be most useful. Not that we'd know. The station didn't exactly tell us much."

"well stop laying there and get up we got a long walk." 'slams my shoulder into the pod door knocking it off and grins at the pain.' "hmmm, I wonder which way they didn't tell me much how about you?" 'turns around and looks at you.'

"That's true, then again probably didn't have much time to do so." She said to Galen. "Wait...I'm pretty sure there's a radio...." She went back into the pod looking about. "Here it is." Zaida twisted her head around. "we can contact the others. I think it's best if we all met here since we are almost perfect distance between the other pods. What do you think?" She asked

"Sure, I guess. As long as we can keep everyone together well enough."

"Alright" she messed with the radio, a bit of static. "Dammit the pod damage probably affected the radio a bit" the Vexū sighed before she gave orders 'Listen carefull- report to Velox po-' the message getting to both Lupus and Ark's Pods. Zaida stopped and huffed trying to get the radio back. "Turned off, but they got it. Now we wait"

'hears someone's voice in the pod and looks around.' "ummmm I guess we need to head to velox pod so lets get going man."

"With luck, at least. I'll see if I can get a better view of the area" he said.
Flexing his wings, Galen made a short burst of flight to the nearest tree of medium height, looking out over the sparse canopy of the reclaimed landscape.
"So, let's say they come by sundown. What then?"

The Vexū watch Galen fly to the tree, exiting the pod she then climbs on top. Studying the area carefully her ears flick from the question.
Zaida thought as she now sat on top of the pod "I suggest we look for a place to settle, at least that's well hidden and if we're lucky near some water. We have some canned foods for a couple days... Then after we going to have to hunt. That's what I'm hoping for, IF everything works out" she added.

Arcizo stood up slowly, one paw on his head, and stepped toward the pod "o-ok" he said quietly.

"awwww you okay I got a little cut but it don't bother me see." 'pulls up my sleeve and there's a large cut on the back of my hand.' "we knee to get there but how about we start getting some food for everyone I think they will then trust us more."

Ray, after freeing himself from his harness, began to kick at the door. He wasn't sure how it opened, and was starting to panic.

Arcizo gave him a thumbs up. He agreed that gathering more food is a good idea.

Hmmm I wonder what the wildlife tastes like." 'looks around for some of the wildlife.'

"We should be fine, as long as we keep everything in order. We've got enough ammo for hunting and protection, so that won't be an issue. I might look for the nearest river soon enough."

"Alright, sounds good." Zaida replied. She stood up on the beaten pod, didn't let her guard down... Listening and carefully scanning for the anthro's or anything that was nearby. Her crystalline swords resting on her back just in case they were needed.

Ray, after the seventeenth or eighteenth kick, broke the viewport glass in the door. He yelped, as shards of the viewport bit into his flesh, cutting through his suit. "U-Uh...uh-oh." Ray pulled his leg out, slowly, blood streaming down the glass, and down his leg.

"Did anybody even mention what continent we were on? Anything about our location?"

*Red blinked open as his vision was blurry*"damn cheaply made pieces of shit"*he growled before unbuckling himself before elbowing the pod door open*"Here we are, hell-hole central."

Zaida said silent and still as she scanned the area, somewhat admiring the nature. Before she looked over to the wing lion "Uh...what use to be the U.S I believe. Somewhere in the middle, not sure." She replied.

"Well that's just lovely. At least it's not a continent with miles upon miles of desert."
Slumping in the nook of his tree, he said "I'll wait on finding water until we get at least a few people. If they manage to make it here."

Alka bumped his helmet and regained his senses. He exited the pod afterwards, and looked around. "Well... We best start heading south I guess. According to the formation we held while still in the outer atmosphere, Velox should be the one south of here. If not, we'll at least encounter the other group. Maybe help them out a little..." Alka pulled his pistol out and began moving south, checking the sun's position before he began moving.

Arcizo looked at Madness for a second before following Alka.

Ray stood, shakily, and limped out of the pod, staring at Red. "Y-You couldn't have...opened the pod, a little sooner?"

"They should be here within a few or so..." She said standing on the broken Velox pod. The Vexū looking north and south east, waiting for the anthro's as she saw some shadows up ahead.

Alka's ears remained perked up as he looked around for any signs of a pod. He sighed as he couldn't really see much, until his eyes set on a very distant figure to the north. He furrowed his brow as he tried to make out who it was but continued walking as he realised he wouldn't be able to at this distance.

Zaida jumped off the pod the crystalline dual swords on her back. "Seems ARK group made it, Lupus may be a delay." She said to the winged lion perched on the tree. The Vexū however didn't open up easily, she kept her guard up staying near the pod and supplies as she watched the anthro's grow nearer.

'i could vaguely make out the pod and two anthro's.' "looks like we are going to survive this."

Alka smiled and holstered his pistol. "Don't count your chickens before they've hatched Jack. We don't know that they won't kill us and steal our weapons. Keep your guard up guys... This may be a bit difficult." Alka raised his voice and waved at Zaida. "Hey! Anyone need a medic?! I have some medical knowledge!

"hmh ill keep that in mind we can only trust each other now." 'i whisper to both of you since we were in ear shot.' "I can go and start on building a place to stay I am a little knowledge able in home craft?" 'i look at each of you.' " here we go we might need to stick together." 'i whisper to them again.'

The Vexū was in her suit the hood up to cover her neck and face her glowing eyes the only thing visible "No, we have just a few scratches. We'll live." Zaida replied. Before asking "Is that all of you?" She asked.

Allah nodded. "Just the three of us. Allow me to introduce the team; I'm Alka, this is Jack and he's uhm.... Crap, I forgot his name." Alka blushed a little as he chuckled, slightly embarrassed. "So uhm... What's your name?"

The Vexū nods as she studied the three anthro's from ARK "I'm Zaida, and that's Gallen..." she pointed up the tree where the wing lion stayed, on lookout for the rest of the anthro's from the Lupus pod.

"Zaida, eh? And Galen. Will try to remember those. Anyway, you should probably get those scratches disinfected. Don't know what kind of mutated viruses and bacteria are hanging around the place. If you have a first aid kit, or any rubbing alcohol, I can disinfected it for you." Alka walked over to Zaida and extended a paw to shake.

'i hang back.' "we need shelter unless we are using the pod as a shelter."

"Hell if I know about first aid kits or alcohol. We were pretty much kicked out the front door with a gun and a bag, if you know what I mean."
He stretched in his tree, taking a moment to look at his cut hand. No swelling, which was a good sign. He'd have to keep an eye on it all the same.
"I see no reason we couldn't keep our heads out of the rain in our pods. Considering the sky isn't exactly..."
He looked up, seeing a medium dusting of smooth, grey clouds.
"Clear."

"I suppose so." She extended her hand as well, giving a firm shake. "Yea, it seems we will receive rain. I suggest we take shelter in our pods for now... It can last us for a little. Along with shelters will take a bit of time. Finding a spot, gathering, putting it together." Zaida finished.

"Agreed. I just hope there's enough space for the.... five of us."

"Great... Well, there is a much more painful way around infection. As for rain, are we sure it isn't going to rain acid or something? Last I heard, Earth was pretty messed up when we left it." Alka said as he walked over to the pod.

"I have a plan we can use just take the pods apart and use the good parts for things we can use some of the metal sheets like a sled and maybe get a thick wire to use as a rope so we can pull it around. Its just a thought." 'shrugs.'

"Anybody mind if we keep out pods intact for the time being? We've still got a whole pod unaccounted for."
Looking up at the sky he hung his Saiga from his shoulder, resting his head and looking up at the midday sky.
"I doubt the rain would be too bad. Maybe not the best for drinking as is, but it's not exactly gonna strip our flesh."

"I was talking about when we have a new shelter built up." 'gets inside the pod and looks around at the mess.' "we could at least clean up the pod."

"Fair enough. We've got an axe, hammer, nails, some rope. Not much besides that as far as building tools. I'll be dammed if they didn't give us a few windless lighters."

Ray smiled painfully. "N-No j-joke. I-I don't have any bandages. W-Was there a first-aid k-kit in there?"

Alka sighed. "This is definitely not going to be able to house 5 people, unless nobody minds sitting in someone else's lap. 2 of us, are going to have to get soaked. I don't mind being one of the two. Possible death by deadly rain is a cool way to go, in my opinion."

"so who wants to help clean up and Zaida maybe you should send out another radio broadcast for those other few that should be on their way." 'starts picking up all of the loose metal and junk on the floor of the pod.' "and ill stay outside I don't mind it but ill help clean."

"How far away was your pod anyways?" he asked, looking down at the newcomers.

"It's not very far away, but it's in kind of an awkward spot. I think we had medical supplies with us though, so I'll go back to grab them." Alka began walking away from the group, headed back to his pod.

"I already did the radio is damaged and no longer works." She said in a huff. "Lupus isn't here yet though, I might jog over to however not alone. While we're there we can grab materials, even parts of the pod then back."
"Again this is only temporary we can't he comfortable here... In the open" Zaida said.

Galen looked down at Zaida.
"I wouldn't mind following and lending a hand, if you could use the company." he said to her.
"And yes, our pods aren't exactly the best. But hey, it's day one. We'll get something figured out soon enough."

Ray smiled painfully. "N-No j-joke. I-I don't have any bandages. W-Was there a first-aid k-kit in there?"
*He looked into the pod grabbing the kit*"Ye-Yeah, yes there is!"*he pulled out the first-aid kit*

"I'll head over with Alka he could use the help." 'starts on my way behind him.'

"That'll be great" she nods. "Let's get going then" she said to the winged lion beginning to jog north to Lupus

"Sure thing. And Jack, I'll deal with my own pod when we get back. You worry about your own for the time being."
Landing on the forest floor himself, he placed his pack inside his pod before starting off after Zaida. Hopefully the trees would end soon enough.

"so what should we do gather as much of the good stuff as we can when we get there and we might have to stay the night in our pod."

Arcizo saw the four walking away and thought to himself "I'll just stay here then". He climbed on top of the pod and sat down cross-legged waiting for their return.

As Zaida jogged she saw a circular object in the distance, definitely was the pod. "There it is..." She saw the door knocked down and two anthro's. Zaida slowed down and asked. "Hello lupus, are you both alright?..." She asked seeing the coon was bleeding and the dragon holding the kit in his claws.

Galen took a short flight up to the pod where Zaida stood, looking at the two unfamiliar faces. To say that there was blood would be an understatement.

Zaida approached cautiously. "Well, I'm not going to wait for an answer I can obviously see you need medical help" she said to the coon. "We have a anthro back at the Velox pod. He can patch you up" the Vexū said.
(I know you guys have lives and must be busy but it'd be great if you all were more active... I want this RP to actually last and it's a bit frustrating. If it doesn't go far by next Friday I'll just lock the thread...)

Zaida looked at Galen. "We should grab what we can from the pod and head back" before looking at the anthro's from lupus. "you two follow we can talk once we get back to the Velox pod." she commanded.

"but not dying at all will be better to me. Besides I guess we can trust each other. And do you mind me asking where you got the scar on your neck?" 'follows his lead.'

"Yeah, I do mind." Alka rubbed the scar a little once he got to the entrance of the pod. "I'm sure you can put aide your paranoia for now. It's too early for people to start picking off the weaker of the bunch. Oh! We actually do have a standard issue first aid kit. Seems we got the long end of the stick." Alka held out the kit for Jack to see.

Looking into the pinned remnants of their pod, he reached in to grav anything he could without cutting himself on the fragmented viewport.

Zaida grabbing a empty bag, a bit torn but it would do. She started grabbing scraps of the pod that would be useful. It seemed that the impact, straight into the flatland did a good amount of damage. It was good...however not for those who were aboard especially the coon, as it seemed he took the most damage. "Alright I got what I could, you?" The Vexū said to Galen as she stepped out of the pod.

"I think I've got whatever could be of use" he said, hefting an axe from the pod over his shoulder, a bag of the pod's supplies slung over the shoulder opposite.

"Alright let's get going, it's starting to get dark.." Zaida said To Galen and the two other anthro's. She started back south to where their pod was.

Alka looked up at the slowly darkening sky. "Hey, Jack? We best head back soon. I don't want to run into any nocturnal predators. Not yet, at least."

'looks up and throws a few more things into a duffle bag and shouldered it.' "I found a little bit of rope, some can food, and a shovel. That sound good enough we could come back in the morning. Oh wait." 'picks up two sleeping bags.' "these are going to cause trouble between who gets these should we bring them?"

Alka shrugged. "Up to you." With that he bean climbing down from the pod.

Galen nodded, opening his wings and staying a good ten meters above the ground. He wasn't used to high altitudes, and the last thing he wanted was to miss a beat and fall a hundred stories with thirty pounds of gear.

Ray, who had taken a seat after the group had stopped moving, stood up, wincing at his damaged leg. His face had gone pale, and he looked weak.

"so what are you best at I'm more of a silent combat and survival type."

Zaida stopped to look at the coon. "Dammit. You, take these." She gave the scraps to red the ragnos before walking to the rodent and helping him up with a grunt. "Come on we're almost there." She hissed putting his arm over her shoulder helping him.

"I'm not too sure to be honest. I can aim this pistol pretty well, but I'm not one for killing. I'm more just there to be of use to others, in the hope that they'll be able to do all the killing and dirty work that I don't want to do." Alka whipped out his pistol and twirled it around in his paw. "Doesn't mean I won't shoot if I have to though." He chuckled as he holstered the gun.

"Nah. Best to conserve our energy for when we need it. Not like there is something chasing us." Alka quickly looked behind them after he said that.

Galen looked down and back towards the pod. It seemed that Zaida had taken the time to help the raccoon.
"Everything alright?" he shouted in concern.

She didn't say a word only heading to the pod. Visible In the distance, she continued. Hearing Galen "yes, he's just not feeling well. Needs medical attention and some rest" she hollered back.

He headed back the way he had come, landing softly and looking for himself.
"Are we taking him with us, or are we leaving him here for the time being?"

"No... Just...'a little paranoid.'" Alka grinned and chuckled softly as he continued walking the very short distance between them and the pod.

"To the Velox pod, besides its just in the distance..." She huffed. "Come on"
Zaida continued south the pod growing closer, as she could see the others approaching the pod as well.

Readjusting the bags he'd talen from the destroyed pod, Galen glided to the Velox pod, dropping them into the somewhat small compartment of the insertion vehicle.

Sitting Ray down she huffed. "Alright just sit here and rest, but don't fall asleep. we have someone who can help you" She said to the coon.

"hmh." 'shrugs and chuckles a little following up behind him.'

Alka reached the site and greeted everyone. Once he noticed Ray, he cursed under his breath and went over to him. "You're pretty banged up... How'd you get this damaged?"

'sees Ray.' "oh man this is bad."

Ray motioned at his leg. "K-Kicked the window out."

Zaida sat watching them talk her arms crossed, face under her good. Her glowing eyes studying the cuts on the rodents leg. "Shit, glass gave you nasty cuts. Are you able to fix him up?" She asked Alka.

"I can pull the shards out, and bandage him, but we don't have supplies for stitches. We could also amputate the leg, which'll leave us with more supplies for later and save him from any possible infections.... only problem with that is, it'll make moving him around harder... And it'll be more uncomfortable... And I'll need to borrow one of your swords, Zaida..." Alka looked at everyone else to make the decision. He could go either way.

"amputation is the best way to go." 'i say with a shrug.' "either ones gone be painful."

Zaida sighed through her nose. The Vexū pulled down her hood. "I don't think we should amputate it, not yet.." She hissed looking over at the cat, Jack. She then gave her attention to Alka. "That's just asking for predators to come over here, we're lucky the pods scared them off and didn't attract them. And I don't want to carry and risk my life for a dead man.... IF however he starts to get an affection then you amputate and I'll gladly give up my health kit to do so."

'catches her look.' "what a small opinion... well we should hurry up before anything wants to take a nip of us."

Alka nodded. "Alright. Well... I'll get a start on getting those shards out. Just a heads up though erm..." Alka looked up at Ray. "Introductions can come later, but this is going to be fairly painful. And I'll need you to be very still. I also may have to make incisions with my scalpel, so be weary of that." After giving Ray the heads up, Alka opened the first-aid kit and pulled out a pair of pliers

'grabs a fairly thick stick and holds it up to Ray.' "here bite this so you don't scream and let everything for a mile know we are here."

Galen knew what was about to happen, and although it was necessary, that did not mean he was exceptionally fond of it. His wings shivered as he waited for the cut.

Ray nodded, and bit down hard on the stick. He closed his eyes, and waited.

Alka gulped and thought back to medical school. Peaceful thoughts Al.... Peaceful thoughts... Alka grabbed the first shard of glass with his pliers and forcefully jerked it out. He placed the glass on the ground and dabbed a cloth from the first aid kit on the now open wound.

Ray cried out behind locked jaws, as the first shard left his leg. He had no idea how many there were, but hoped it'd be over soon.

Alka wished he had something to numb the pain, but Ray was just going to have to tough through it. He continued to pull out the shards that were sticking out enough for him to get a sure grip on, but he ran out of those eventually. He sighed and looked up at Ray, pulling out his scalpel and giving the red crystal blade a quick flick. "Alright... I'm going to have to start cutting you up in order to get out some of the more embedded shards. Do you need to have a break before we continue, or are you good?"

Ray nodded, and braced himself again.

Alka was sweating a bit as he slowly stabbed and cut around some of the shards. He wasn't leaving massive holes in Ray, by any measure at all, but it would still take a bit of a while to heal back. As the procedure continued, he kept thinking of calm, classical music. It helped to take some of the stress off.

Listening to the shrieks, Galen thought of any solution to dull that poor soul's pain. No alcohol for drinking, no anesthetic, but there had to be something....
"Could we just knock him out for the time being? Anybody care to do the honors? It would be a lot smoother I'd think."
He flexed a knuckle, willing to do the deed himself if necessary.

Arcizo was still sat on top of the pod trying to ignore the cries of pain. He was looking out into the distance, making sure nothing dangerous was going to sneak up on us.

Zaida standing near the two didn't hesitate. Simple using the handle of her sword to bop the rodent on the head. "There." She said with a gruff walking to the materials they gathered. "I'm going to sleep outside tonight since there isn't enough room in the pod, I'll start making a small shelter against the tree" she started to pick up large branches that have seemed to fall off the tree laying them against the stump.

"ill be another outside I enjoy it here and I had enough time in a steel case up in space." 'helps her start gathering large branches.'

Alka was a bit startled by the sudden whacking of Ray's head. "Well... He's probably going to feel that in the morning..." After he made his comment, he continued to work on Ray, slowly pulling out the few remaining shards.

Ray, after a time, recovered from the blow, and looked around groggily, wincing slightly. "W-What...what happened?"

"Standing from his place by a tree, Galen said "Well, if you'll notice the lack of glass in your leg from that mistake of yours, you'd probably figure out the rest. Oh, and Zaida was our impromptu anestesiologist. You can thank her later."

"well for starters you were an anatomy project with your leg and Zaida knocked you out so you wouldn't scream from all the slicing and dicing." 'i say while I sit down a huge pile of branches and sit on a nearby rock.'

Zaida blocked the others out as she was finishing the temporary shelter, the branches and sticks that she had found against the tree stump. The tree's branches would also provide shelter if there was any rain. Walking into the pod she grabbed her sleeping back and crawled under the tree tent and rolled it onto the dirt floor, where she would sleep.

Looking back to the improvised shelter, Galen shouted "Hey, any space in there for a second person?"

"hey man I already said I was outside I helped gather the stuff to build you just stood there." 'i step in front of him.'

"Fair enough, sorry about that. I'll be in the pod I guess, it seems well enough as it stands. No need to get affressive about it, we're going to be here a long time together most likely."

Alka had bandaged Ray's leg by the time he has awoken. As everyone was talking, he stared off into the distance and thought idly. Can't help but think this should be a bit more... Dangerous...

(Apologies for the lack of action. It won't always be like this.) "We should sleep, I'll guard for the night I can stay up easily... However this won't always be. Besides seems a bit too peaceful around here." Zaida said sitting by the simple tree tent she had put together.

"alright I mean I can't really sleep because of insomnia so I can keep you company." 'walks over to the tree tent grabbing a sleeping bag on the way.' "anymore room?"

She sighed "Yes there is.. Your the one who said you would sleep outside as well" she hissed lightly "And I don't need company"

"something wrong with poor ol' Jack? I can sleep somewhere else I'm just not going in those pods I'm outta space and gone from those things. So if you want tell me if you don't want me here I can keep myself company." 'smiles at you.'

"I might as well take nightwatch as well, now that we're here. We have no idea what the nights are like, last thing I want is for a single person to be awake while the rest of us sleep."

Ray groaned, as he tried to stand. He felt like an idiot for trying to kick a window out, especially out of an orbital drop pod.

Zaida was up early, as she she didn't really sleep at all, she leaned against a tree. About forty feet away from the temporary camp. She watched the large creature that ate the leaves of the branches.
It stood about sixty five feet tall having green rough skin with little hair, four tusk, one pair facing up the other pair facing down possibly for defense, it's back legs slightly lower than the front, one hind claw on the front legs, no tail, and a snout that curved down, and small eyes on the side of its head.

Alka had fallen asleep where he sat and woke up quite abruptly. "Alright... It's morning... Didn't get eaten by anything..."

'Jack taps Zaida's shoulder smiling.' "Isn't this creature strange?" 'Jack and sat next to her over the night but hadnet fallen asleep he had watched the creature munch for a while now he looks back at her after looking back up.'

Walking beside the two others, Galen looked upwards at the slowly moving creature.
"I didn't know what I was expecting, but it definitely wasn't that."

"Not harmless, I've been around it for quiet some time. Sniffed me in the beginning before it started to eat." She said. "Definitely a herbivore" the Vexū added in.

The wolf stretched out a bit before he stood up and stretched some more. Best go find the others... He walked back towards the pod before noticing the others... and the creature. He slowly began approaching the group, wandering what to call it.

Looking to Zaida, Galen said "Well, since it's not much of an obstruction or threat, any idea where we start today? I'd suggest we have a few people look for food, and I'll go ahead and find a nearest river if that's fine be you."

The creature made a moan like noise, it was loud but soft. It looked at the anthro's below it and snorted. It rubbed it's tusks gently against the tree. However wasn't the only one, as it seemed a few more were scattered through the area drinking from muddy puddles or eating from trees.
Zaida nods "seems like the best idea... I'll be searching for a better area to stay and some food. If anyone finds a fruit, or hunt a small animal that seems edible don't eat it right away... It could be dangerous"

Alka reached the group and cocked an eyebrow at the creature. "Quadratuskasaurus. I say we call it that."

She turned towards Alka "Seems like a good name, I was having some trouble trying to figure it out... A bit long. We can call these things Quadra for short"

"You'd think that would apply to any four footed animal around here, but hey, it's not like anybody will be around to contradict you" He said to the two.
Walking to the nearest clearing in the sparse trees, he leapt unwards to unfurl his wings. A quick ascent showed him a medium-sized river, not more than a kilometer away. He shouted down the the rest.
"Hey, there's a river a little ways east! Any containers I could take over there? Something a bit larger if possible."

Alka smiled. "I wonder if we could tame them... And possibly create a domesticated species..." Alka studied the way it moved and ate closely.

"That would be rather interesting having them as a pet, haha." 'Jack stands up and looks around "well I can help transport some of the stuff if you want ill go on ahead and look around while also carrying some stuff."

The large beast lowered its head. It's small eyes looking at the anthro's curiously, while munching the leaves to reveal its flat teeth. However as it got close seemed on its side had multiple scratches one particularly across its eye possibly from a predator and it's tusks beaten up a bit. Zaida gently brought her hand up patting its snout softly the quadra flinching at first but made a soft groan (Changed the Quadra's a bit)
"It's possible but such a large creature I'm unsure.. Seems friendly enough" she replied before looking over to the winged lion. "I'm unsure let me check." Zaida stopped letting the quadra and jogged over into the pod grabbing the large canteens.

Alka smiled. "With time, effort and patience, we could tame anything. These are animals and animals exist for one purpose... To survive. Give something enough reason not to kill you, and it might just respect you a little." The wolf picked a large bunch of the leaves the Quadra was eating and slowly presented them to the beast, not making any sudden movements to imply a threat.

"I know, just would take time, don't get your hopes up, not all can be tamed...some are too feral and cannot leave their natural instincts." she said walking out with the canteens. "All I could find galen" she hollered to the lion.
The quadra sniffs the leaves for a moment, sticking it's tongue out, using its sticky saliva to lick them up into its mouth and began to munch on them.

Landing softly, he gathered the canteens in his bag, giving a curt nod before flying off towards the rive again.
"Shouldn't be long." he yelled back at the group below. Hopefully there weren't any hostile animals around.

"Well we could try and I'm sure these things will defiantly help with any predators." 'Jack pats one of its legs.' "Yeah maybe we could make them into rides or guards it would be nice."

Alka smirks as he slowly placed a paw on the Quadra and pet it gently. "We won't be able to domesticate anything. But taming is a different story."

"Whatever you say, as much as I love animals I know you can't tame everything. Just don't go out to random creatures." She said with a huff. "I'm going to search for a good place to actually camp, some small animal I can hunt that seemed edible." The Vexū said getting ready.
The quadra ate the leaves before swallowing. It snorted lightly looking down at the anthro's and their camp.

"How about I come with you." 'Jack said to her smiling.' "I can help out with hunting and looking for a place to stay."

Alka continued to pet the beast. "Interesting... It seems to have evolved a very passive nature..."

Zaida didn't say a word, taking her swords and disappearing into the forest in search for a good camp and food.
The quadra pat its feet lightly stomping the dirt down before laying down. Rubbing it's tusks against the tree, it seemed to be older than the rest and larger possibly the leading quadra.

Ray, who had fallen asleep, woke up a little while later, and stood up tenderly. His head was swimming, and his balance was shot. The young raccoon braced himself against the entryway, and nearly pitched out of the pod.

Landing in the soft turf lining the riverside, Galen shook his wings into place against his back. He stepped towards the slowly rippling water and took a moment to listen to the sounds that permeated the air. So many new animals could be heard calling in the trees and in the distance, giving him a sense of awe as he started to fill the canteens he had brought in his pack.

All a continued studying the Quadra, running a paw along the tusk. Something so large... It's upper body must be very powerful to carry 4 tusks of this size and thickness. Obviously a ramming beast, as opposed to a clawing one... It's very relaxed, and while that could be due to the properties of the plant he's eaten, I'd like to think it's because it's evolved keen detection skills... Skills that will warn it of any predators or dangers. Fascinating...

Zaida stayed cautious as she went on her search looking for shelter and animals to hunt... Her swords drawn, the Vexū deep in thought.
The Quadra stopped sharpening his horns looking at the herd some seeming startled, it then looked over in the direction Galen went.
A few splashes were heard in the water where Galen filled the canteens, some growls. Dog like creatures that were a few times bigger than a feral wolf. Having skin silky an a mucky color and gave off a strong rotten fish smell, they had webbed feet, sharp outer teeth, and small Orange yellow eyes that squinted due to the sun.

Alka watched the herd. Wait... Isn't that where- Oh crap! I need to get over to him! But... Beasts of this size could only be shaken by something equally fearsome... Or possibly more... I need to alert the others... Especially Zaida.. With that Alka pulled out another bunch of leaves and gave them to the leader, before running off to the pod to find Zaida

The leading quadra looked at the anthro run to find the Vexū. It snorted lightly munching on the leaves it was given, it got to its feet walking over to the herd to calm them giving soft moan noises (like a whale)
Zaida made sure she made no noise, studying ever rock, tree's, the earth beneath her. She stopped as she wasn't that far from camp, she heard someone or possibly a something coming her way.

Alka looked around frantically, spotting Zaida. "Zaida! I think Gallen's in trouble!" The wolf ran over to her

"Ok, Shhh... Calm down, What do you mean he's in trouble?" She asked looking at the wolf with a raised brow. "What's happening?" The Vexū asked quickly

Looking up to the sound of rough growling, Galen's eyes widened at the sight of the animal pack. The smell definitely didn't help. He slowly put down his pack and the canteen in his hand, keeping a hand on the shotgun slung across his back as he did so. The sun gently shown off the anodized finish of the ancient Russian weapon as he gently shouldered it, hoping to avoid an attack. At this point, however, it might be too late to walk away from. The growls supported this theory.
With a fluid motion, he flicked the charging handle of the weapon and fired at the nearest monstrosity, leaping backwards with the aid of his wings as he sent the first shot forward.

"Well, it's just a hunch, but I think the Quadra can sense trouble and danger. I saw a few of them getting restless after looking in the direction Galen flew. If they're scared, I think that's enough to describe the implications that could have." Alka genuinely looked concerned as he looked over in Galen's direction.

She nods and sighs lightly looking in the direction as well. "Well then, let's get going" she said to the canine starting to jog in the direction saving her energy in case she would need to fight or if she had to, run.
One of the creatures hissed and screeched with pain as it shot in his eye. It stumbled and flopped in the water with pain the others jumping back from the gunshot. The small pack of four were confused and startled from what was going on. One turned to the anthro hissing lowly, the fins on its side of its head opening up as a threat.

"Go away!" he yelled at the remaining creatures. Stepping forward aggressively, he kept his sights on his next potential target.

Madness wasn't at camp as he seemed to wander off... (He's unable to get on, so he wanted me to post this for him.)
The creature whimpered laying down its head in the water scratching its eye with little pain, the pack concerned as they studied before one by one faced the winged lion.
She stopped in the river, water up to her knees to see the small pack and Galen aiming to one that grew closer. Zaida looked about unsure what to do, she gave a loud screeching roar grabbing the attention of the pack. Zaida thought before asking the wolf "I have an idea Alka... But can you run fast?" The Vexū asked.

Taking the opportunity as a result of Zaida's distraction, Galen drew his sword and forced it down on the nearest animal in one smooth arc.

Alka nodded and removed the top half of his armour to make himself lighter. "My family were all sprinters, descended from sprinters. I'm sure I can handle it." Alka grinned as he stretched himself a little. "What can I do?"

Ray stepped gingerly around the camp, trying to get some semblance of mobility in his injured leg. He looked around, trying to clear his head.
