Title: Favorite Genres?
Post by: Quantum on December 08, 2015, 04:05:37 AM
Ayy, lots of people listen to music :P so what's your favorite genre of music? Also, what song in that genre would you recommend?

For example:
I really like the genre future bass, I would recommend the song "Roses" by Deon Custom to everyone! (srsly tho its a gud song)

I think this is where everyone could try out new genres of music that they dont even know of  :P

It is really hard for me to choose but I would suppose my favorite genre would be thrash metal, 80's/early 90's thrash metal to be precise. Nothing else gets me going quite like that does, and I can sit in traffic for hours as long as there is some on and rock out without so much as a care in the world.

Really hard to pick a favorite song from this genre since I have so many of them, but I suppose you could give The Four Horsemen by Metallica a listen. Their first album was their best, in my humble opinion. Failing that you could try Disciples of the Watch by Testament...

...or Live Undead by Slayer...

...or Caught In A Mosh by Anthrax...
...Thrasher by Evile is really good too even if it isn't from the 80's...

Yeah I'll stop now.

I would say rock and punk

As far as rock goes, my favorite is AC/DC. I like both Bon Scott and Brian Johnson Era vocals. 50s rock'n'roll also counts under the term 'rock' in my opinion. Some of my favorites include Little Richard, Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, and Jerry Lee Lewis. CCR and Lynyrd Skynyrd are also favorites.

As fat probably as punk goes, The Misfits, Black Flag, and Ramones are my favorites. Not much else to say there.

I usually dont listen to mainstream EDM since it is usually mixed with pop and other genres. I listen to more of the lesser known artists such as Razihel, PIXL, Feint, and Au5. The old Skrillex was good, but now Virtual Riot is the only mainstream artist I listen to. Some of Knife Party's songs are also really good.

Wellet Kraftwerk is from the 70s through out. Not your average electronic music.

I forgot to mention Knife Party as well

70s :/ nice. Knife Party's newest EP sucks though.  Abandon Ship was good, but Rage Valley was the best.

Hehe yes, and German. Their accents really shine in their music. Cool stuff.

I haven't heard their new EP yet, but yeah, Rage Valley was good.
