(Will plan to keep this a long term Rp) The large city if woodlocke, known for its beauty. The furries in harmony. Some are gifted with power although none are strong. Some however contain a gift of power although government disapproves of this gift for a war in the past had wiped the furries with these 'powers'. The government will attack the gifted ones with no warning.
Along with these Barriers that separate the city with outside contact though no one knows why, nor questions this. Those who try to escape for freedom are quickly erased by the Assassins, Officers, or Steambots... Besides who would want to leave this lovely city?
This is a mix of steampunk and medieval... But more of steampunk and a tiny bit of future...

(We can start!)
Zaida sat down on the bridge looking down to the flowing water as her tail swayed and she kicked her feet lightly the hybrid deep in thought.
-
Acon's heels cracked against hard pavement as she walked to an old library owned my some old couple that planned to move locations in Woodlocke very soon. Their new location would be too far away for Acon to walk to, so she figured it'd be best to brows now.
-
Ray sat behind the brass-gated wall separating the bank's vault from the rest of building. He smiled, but it disappeared slowly as he stared at the empty lobby. Most clients had cleaned their accounts after the previous owner passed away.
-
*Wulfgang looks on from a balcony before scoffing*"This city..."
-
On her way to the library, she stopped in front of the bank. "Maybe... Maybe I should open myself an account. I can't keep all my money on me like this anymore." She huffed before pushing open the door.
-
Zaida was on patrol, wasn't her job and she hated it but one criminal not a threat but a small thief escaped and she needed to find him. Her ears rested as steam hissed out of her respirator while she waited and watched but admired the view... But deep down hated the city with a burning passion.
-
Ray blinked, and sat up straight, smiling. "H-Hello! C-Coming to make an account?" He looked nervous, as this was the first customer in months.
-
Acon's heavily pierced ears laid down flat against her head. The rings jingled quietly, a little noticeable in the quiet room. "Yes. Where is everyone?"
-
Ray spoke quietly, a tad ashamed. "T-They left, after the previous owner, my master, died. I've t-taken to running...what's left of this." He sighed again. "You're...well...t-the first person h-here in months."
-
Acon raised a brow. "Hmm... What a shame. Well, you know they weren't loyal patrons to abandon the man's bank like that."
-
*Wulfgang walks past a few guards, his weapons jingling as he steps on the hard,marble floor*"I fight for the common poor, commader"*he says to the fur walking next to him*"This digusting city must be freed from tyranny if we want to make any progress"
-
Ray sighed. "Less lack of loyal, more skeptical of a young man running a bank. They thought I was going to lose the money." He shook his head, and picked up a feather pen. "A-Anyway, w-will you be making an account?"
-
"I agree but I told you many times what your saying can get you beheaded. Do you not understand that." The lizard hissed the warning quietly.
Zaida heard a tell looking to her right the thief sprinting two officers chasing after, behind his tail before a Raven had swooped down ta killing him and then beating him as they tied him up dragging him back. "Ashame" she said standing. "At least I'm finally off..."
-
"Hmm..." Acon thought a moment. "I don't know. How do I know you're reliable?" She eyed Ray suspiciously. "You ARE rather young. And incredibly jumpy."
-
Ray shrugged. "I-It's a trust thing. I-I'm only jumpy b-because you're the first person here in months."
-
She offered Ray a tight half smile. "Not a very good first impression, my friend."
-
"I agree but I told you many times what your saying can get you beheaded.
*He looks at the lizard*"Death will not stop, us i will take these beliefs to the grave"*he passes more guards*"Do you oppose my beliefs commander?"
-
Ray sighed. "I-I was raised to tell the truth, ma'am. We've never been robbed, nor have we lost any accounts." He smiled, kindly. "So, ma'am, what can I do for you?" Ray hoped she'd agree, but would push her to a decision, just as his late master would do.
-
He doesn't answer his head lowered a bit and sighed. "I'm sorry but I cannot take that risk..." He admits.
Zaida began to walk around the city back straightened and head held high.
-
Acon smiled. She knew what he was trying to do. "Hmm... I don't know. I think I need some more convincing."
-
Ray continued to smile. "I can't offer anything more than the truth, ma'am." He thought a moment, biting the inside of his lip before speaking again. "W-Would you like to inspect the vault? I'm sure you'll find it secure enough."
-
He doesn't answer his head lowered a bit and sighed. "I'm sorry but I cannot take that risk..." He admits.
Zaida began to walk around the city back straightened and head held high.
*he grabs his gun*"I'm sorry commander"
-
Acon's smile grew wider then. "Oh yes! If you could." He was willing to let her see the vault? It'd be too easy for someone to just waltz in and rob him blind. "Oh, and before we do see the vault, I just want you to know I have a history of crime."
-
Ray blinked. "W-Well, t-the only way to build trust is by trusting others, r-right?" He stood, and unlocked the gate, motioning Acon through.
-
Acon shrugged. "Can't argue with that." She walked through the gate slowly as she looked around.
-
"Sorry?" He asked to look up with a raised brow.
Zaida bought an apple from the market taking small bites furries walking off, avoiding her path.
-
Ray smiled, and led Acon to the vault. The massive iron and brass vault seemed to be an icon of security. Ray turned to Acon, and smiled. "You see? The vault is completely secure, ma'am. My master had the building constructed around it."
-
*he shoots him*
-
The lizard stood for seconds falling to his knees and face against the hard floor the blood from his head creating a puddle.
-
*he looks at the guards*"Dispose of this body"*hew walks out the fromt door to the angry crowd*
-
The guards quickly pick him up walking to get rid of his body as the blood was being cleaned.
Some yelled insults and threats though obviously weren't capable of doing so
-
Acon placed a paw on her chin and nodded, eyeing the vault carefully. "I see. I imagine it's a doozy to get into."
-
Ray nodded. "Indeed. Three meter thick iron on all sides, the vault combination is every special to me."
-
Acon turned her attention to Ray. "Oh yeah?" She flashed him a sly smile.
-
Ray nodded. "Yes ma'am." He smiled, and crossed his arms behind his back.
-
Acon tilted her head. "Birth date special? Death date special? Perhaps... Anniversary or honeymoon special."
-
Ray smiled, both knowingly and kindly. "Just special, ma'am."
-
Acon pursed and lips and shrugged. "Alright."
-
Ray chuckled. "I may be young, miss, but dumb I am not." He smiled, and motioned towards the lobby. "Now, shall we get that account sorted, or..?"
-
(Not sure if this should be a pm... is it too late to join?)
-
Acon sighed. "Alright, alright. Let's get the damn account set up."
-
((I think you're good Cecil, check with Zaida, though.))
Ray smiled, and led Acon to the main desk. "So...miss...erm..." He had a feather pen in paw, waiting to jot down her name.
-
(Not sure if this should be a pm... is it too late to join?)
No it's not, post a sheet to join.
-
"Aconitum Lovien." She finished, walking back out of the gate.
-
Ray nodded, and wrote that down. "So, miss Lovien. What will be your initial deposit? Oh, there's a minimum of 50 ___ ((erm...gold, I assume?))"
-
(Yea)
Zaida stopped her ears raised hearing the crowd. "What could that possibly be" she hissed.
-
*Wulfgang walks through the crowd*
-
Most do nothing as they feared him. Watching him leave, they broke away not wanting to push his temper further as they had seen the body of the lizard carried out.
As it faded she gave a questionable look with brow raised but it was none of her concern. She bit into the apple continuing as she looked at her boots with each step again everything fading and going silent as she dozed off, thinking what she could do now.
-
*he looks at zaida*"What the..."
-
Zaida continued before bumping into wulfgang having her fall back onto her back. "Gaugh!" She yelped as she hit the floor, looking up at him her hood falling down. "O-oh?! apologies sir!" she stood up quickly looking up to him. "I really am, it's was my fault should have been paying attention" she said
-
"Zaida,Is that you?"
-
"..." She stayed silent looking at him with a confused look until she blinked pulling her respirator down to hang on her neck. "W-Wulfgang... Wulf?!. She said a bit surprised and nodded "Yes it's me."
-
*he takes off his mask*"wow,it is you.."
-
"It's been a long time, five, six years? Either way it's great to see you again." She said with a slight smile.

Intro:
Cecil arrived at Woodlocke. Since he was a wanderer, he had been all over the world. Woodlocke was just another unexplored dot on his map. So far he was impressed, the city was beautiful and large. However, he didn't expect much from the citizens. Since he was one of the few gifted with supernatural abilities, he was looked down upon. Cecil never understood why, he had never used his powers for evil. "Oh well." Cecil sighed to himself. "At least no one knows who I am."
"Yet..."
-
She looked around and grabbed his paw firmly leading him under a bridge for privacy. "I agree, your lucky they think your still a commanding officer they would have been looking for you." Zaida spoke in a quiet soothing voice. "And tonight my fa- Mr.V is expecting all the superiors to join for the feast." She finished.
"Perfect"*he says*
-
"Look, I'm not against what your doing. I'm just worried, looking out for you...I mean your the only one I can trust. we haven't seen eachother for years and I don't want to see you be locked up or worse, understand?" She said in serious looking up to him.
-
Acon nodded before she leaned over she leaned over the counter, dumping golden coins out of her bodice.
-
"Look, I'm not against what your doing. I'm just worried, looking out for you...I mean your the only one I can trust. My only friend and we haven't seen eachother for years and I don't want to see you be locked up or worse." She said in a whisper looking up to him.
*he looks at her*
-
"Just come to the feast tonight so he doesn't get any thoughts... We can try to talk then get ideas to figure things out." She said and sighed. "I don't want to stay in this living hell..." Zaida had said. "I'm forced to do everything and grow up with the man I must call my father who murdered my parents..." She hissed coldly.
-
*he sighs*"Alright"
-
"Thank you, just dress in something formal it starts in an hour we can talk more then besides I'm sure we have to catch up. I have to get ready I'll see you then, Just be careful" she said in a serious but soothing tone as she walked off.
-
JR-71 was turning on and putting water in his energy chamber so he won't have to refill later...But he looks around in the junkyard he was in and was sacred..."Where am I?....who am I?....what is my perpose...." He was lifting himself up, when he noticed his right arm was broken and his chest was a bit crumbled... So it went around finding random parts and used an old weilder to give himself minor repairs..and stomped out of the junkyard to explore this .... World...
-
As she arrived at what looked a bit like a castle she entered silently with a plain face. The large table being set up. She began walking to her room upstairs before stoping, her step father, Vlad in her way dressed up ready for the feast of superiors his left paw resting upon his cane.
Vlad stood to 6'5 a jaguar, Caracal (african jinx) mix. He looked like exactly like an jaguar but his ears having unique tufts making them appear longer and the shape of devil horns as his tail a short stump. The felines fur black but in light you can see his silver grey fur and pattern hidden beneath, brown hair slicked back with a medium stubble beard attached and lastly having pure gold eyes, his pupils sharp. Holding his serious expression he gruffed "your late, get yourself ready then meet me downstairs to greet our guests that will be arriving soon." He said walking past.
"I know I will" she said listening to him walk off his cane tapping the hard floor as she walked to her room to get ready.
-
"my forces are ready to wage war"*he says to the new commander*
-
Ray blinked, and began counting the coins. "I-If I may speak my mind, Miss Lovien, that's a strange way to carry your coin." He drew up fifty gold pieces, and bagged them. "Thank you, Miss Lovien. Is there anything else you need?"
-
Acon shook her head. "No. That's it."
-
Cecil was entering Woodlock. To enter you had to get past the security depot. It was a small, poorly lit building, and the guards were armed to the teeth. Something was definitely different about this place.
"Stop right there!" One of the guards said, as all of them pointed their weapons at Cecil. "Who are you! What are you doing in here! You better talk fast!" Cecil was shocked at the hostility, but he was not afraid of the guards or their weapons. "My name is Cecil Jacobs. I just want to go in the city." The head gaurd gestured the others to put down their guns but he was still aiming his right between Cecil's eyes. "So you want to be a citizen then? Only citizens are allowed in Woodlocke." Steam began to fill the room as a door to the chief's left opened. "Go through there to start the application process." The chief said. Cecil went through, he really wanted to go into the city now. There was something wierd going on and he wanted to get to the bottom of it.
-
Ray nodded, and smiled. "Then, I wish you a good day, miss Lovien."
-
She quickly got dressed in something, she would wear a dress but knowing this was with the superiors she didn't want to look so soft and fragile to them. However everyone was dressing formal and it would be rude not to. She picked a dark dress teal beneath (corset type dress steampunkish). Dark brown boots almost to black. Giving a sigh she sat on her bed thinking looking at some scratches on the wall these were from times she couldn't control her power it was confusing still and she was practicing and a bit curious
Vlad was outside waiting for those who would come his can tapping and eyes narrowed watching some furries passing by behind the brick fence seperate ng them from his home, guards at the entrance.
-
*wulfgang walks towards the entrance,in formal military wear*
-
"Your early General Freidrich, I like that" Vlad says with a slight grin, "make yourself at home, I need one smoke."
Zaida watched the servants finishing putting the plates, glass, and silverware.
-
*he walms through the entrance*"thanks"
-
He nods watching him walk by.
Zaida looked up seeing wulfgang.
-
*he looks at zaida*
-
"Glad you can make it." She said in a soothing voice as the table was finally set up
-
"Agreed"*he says*
-
She watches to see if Vlad was paying attention before whispering to wulfgang "After dinner we can talk in my room about any plans"
Not long after A rhino the leading guard, German Shepard running the taxes in the city, the elk a priest, along with more
-
Soon after Acon left the bank, she headed down the way towards the library, selected the books she needed, and made her way back home.
-
She watches to see if Vlad was paying attention before whispering to wulfgang "After dinner we can talk in my room about any plans"
Not long after A rhino the leading guard, German Shepard running the taxes in the city, the elk a priest, along with more
*Wulfgang looks at the others*
-
Vlad sat as everyone else did. Zaida sitting next to her step father silently.
-
Ray stepped out of the bank, locking the door behind him. He sighed, adjusted his cap, and left a sign reading 'Off to Lunch', before walking away.
-
The application room was more bleak than the entrance. A fox dressed as a doctor was standing in front of some kind of medical examination room. "Right this way." He said with a chilling voice. Cecil was afraid now. "What are you going to do to me?." He asked. The doctor smiled coldly. "Woodlocke is a sanitary city. The cleanest in the country, and we'd like to keep it that way. All you have to do is pass the procedure and then you'll be a citizen."
The exam was simple. First they checked Cecil's weight, height, blood pressure, normal things. But then it got strange. The physical portion had Cecil try to grab a knob that was ridiculously out of reach, he was told to spot a flashing light when all he could see was a metal wall. Several impossible tasks later, Cecil was finally done. "Well you passed you are now an official citizen of Woodlocke." A secretary said. "Leave through that door" she said, pointing at the door to her right. Cecil was just confused. "Wait, I passed? But I couldn't do any of that stuff, nobody could've!" He said. The secretary's expression didn't change. "Of course you couldn't, that's normal, if you could, then you would fail the exam." She said. It all made sense now. Woodlocke was "clean,"... but not anymore... Cecil went through the exit.
-
Jr-71 was just finally past all the dump and abandoned wreckage when ihe finally comes to the city streets..Now he was in what would be the suberbs and went around watching or listening to anything that came across his path and was leaving a bit of rust here and their..
-
The guards watched the mouse walk by. The boar gruffed. "Another to watch over, better watch it mouse and follow the laws... Or Mr.V will deal with you, or His daugh~"
"Don't worry yourself he doesn't look like he's going to be trouble besides he doesn't look like a fur that would get a bounty that high to have those two, to come after him." The stallion huffs in responds.
-
Cecil's sensitive ears couldn't help but overhear the conversation. It didn't matter though, it just made him more confused. "What the heck have I gotten myself into?" He whispered.
-
*Wulfgang had his hand on his gun*
-
"Lovely to see you all arrived" Vlad said with a smirk. "Now Jack"
The German shepards ears perked. "How are taxes."
Fixing his glass "as always good everyone has been cooperating" he nods
"Good"
Zaida sat in silence as the food was being served. she looked to her side seeing his hand on the firearm and place a paw on his lap and patting trying to calm him. And mouthed 'dont' she gave a slight snarl but she was mostly worried.
-
*he takes his paw away from the gun sighing*
-
In the worn-down workshop, Geoffrey was delicately chipping away at a mass of plaster. It had finally took form as a feral owl resting on a branch. It was beautiful, and will be even more so once he paints and finishes it.
The bear added a few more touches to the sculpture before plucking it up and running his eyes across every detail, then setting it back on the table with care. His chair creaked as he leaned back to gaze at the whole of it for a minute. He hummed and grinned wide, giving it a thumbs up. The owl was ready for painting, and soon it will be ready to add to his humble shop's collection.
Much of the time he would rather to keep his work on his own shelves, but it was better enjoyed in the hands of others, preferably in exchange for coin.
-
Jr-71 was on his search for life, when he stumbled across a shop that had some light in in..curious he went to it and lightly knocked on the door..Though it's memory about history is a bit fuzzy and how to talk to others wasn't fully completed...So it stoond on the pouch listening to the wind, as it heald it's right arm in almost a painful feeling....

Weapons: retractable baton that has a function for administering a shock and a flintlock pistol for emergencies. If he needs to he is happy to improvise.
Appearance: Pure white fur, dull green eyes, blue fur on his ears, a couple of scars on his hands and chest which are hidden by his clothing.
Personality: Comes across as lazy, uncaring, and all around just apathetic. In truth, he's jaded and cynical yet not completely apathetic. He has a softer side. He acts lazy and uncaring as a ruse to make himself appear weak or at least just normal and boring. Seems to suffer from narcolepsy, yet it could just be part of the act.
Acts weaker and dumber than he is.
Occupation: None, is looking for a line of work that suits him.
Background: During his adolescence, he was kicked out of his home and forced to live on the streets. He found himself getting involved with the wrong kind of people and became a member of a group of criminals. Eventually things got out of control and, after a series of betrayals and some bloodshed, Xander decided it was time to try and leave all that behind. He currently doesn't have a permanent residence and at times still has to sleep on the street.
-
Geoffrey jolted in his seat as he heard a knock at the door. It should be clear that the place was closed. Didn't he put the curtains up...?
The bear peeked at one of the curtains and frowned. The curtain was up, but he had accidentally left a small gap, which allowed some of the lantern's dim light through the window. All he could do was hope whoever was at the door wasn't a serial killer, or an authority figure wanting to kick him out. This workshop was officially abandoned, and he was staying here for free. No one had any issue with it so far, but that didn't necessarily mean he was in the clear.
Geoffrey sneaked closer to the door, making sure to not pass the lantern, and with his breath held, he peeked through the peephole lens he had fastened to the door. In the darkness, he could just make out what appeared to be a knight's helmet, and his heart nearly stopped.
He was in big trouble now.
Geoffrey carefully backed away into his makeshift bedroom. He hoped the knight would believe no one was inside and leave.
-
Zaida sighed as the chatted on most drunk. Somtimes picking up on uncomfortable conversations... Well uncomfortable to her being a female in this meeting. As she stayed silent her head hung low looking at her dress. Her food not even touched as she just thought silently, zoning out.
-
The manchines mind seemed to wander as it waited, "What is this place....Who is in their?" It thought to himself as the chilly wind touched it's metal skin...
The problem jr-71 was having was trying to figure out what to do next...Since he knows that what is considered kind is to ask if anyone is home..So warming up it's vocal pipes and the werid hum for burning some water to produce steam..."Hello....Is anyone here?" He said in a creakily and low voice...
Though he knew that something told him he might not be safe..
-
Geoffrey could hear the bizarre voice and kept his mouth shut tight. It certainly didn't sound natural. A steam bot, perhaps?
It had to be sent after him by the police. They made it sound friendly, too. It must be a new approach they programmed in. He refused to let that get to him and stayed still and silent with his raised ears listening carefully.
-
Jr-71 decided that it was a torch that hadn't been put out and walked off the pouch, but stopped when it forgot it's arm on the floor and dragged it along..."Well, I guess here has no life....shame.." He said as tripped over a rock and looked for water to refill it's tank...
-
Ray wandered about Woodlocke, looking for a place to eat. He kept twenty gold on him at all time, usually.
-
They all laughed and joked. Zaida was silent looking at the floor, this wasn't that important anyways. She scooted out of her chair standing and heading to her room not wanting to hear the vulgar things they said. She boil inside but she showed no emotion.
Entering her room she closed it behind her clenching her fists as a dark shadow past through the room in a flash having things fly and tip over. She sat down against the wall the voices in her head increasing, she groaned, gritting her teeth. "Get out!" She hissed in a hoarse whisper.
-
Geoffrey's brow furrowed at the sound scraping of metal, but he relaxed somewhat and silently continued to listen for a while. Either he was being fooled, or the bot wasn't an enforcement tool after all. It could be just an experiment by some random mechanic that wandered off. Hopefully the guy will find the bot soon before it causes trouble.
The bear shuddered. As much as he was in awe of steam bots, he still found them too uncanny for his comfort.
-
Jr-71 was wandering around and finally found some water in barrel at a bar, while everyone inside was busy with drinking or partying, he was refilling his water tank.."Power at 72%....Now I do wonder a lot...but maybe here isn't a place for knowledge.." He said shuffling in the street which the lamps light some way but other than that it's pitch black...
-
Geoffrey decided to curl up in his bed--which was more like a pile of cloth--despite having slept quite a lot recently, but his mind was too active. He left his room, adjusted the curtain, then started painting the owl sculpture.
-
Xander was strolling through the streets of Woodlocke. He brushed passed the citizens going about their days. He kept his head down as he walked, watching where he placed his feet. He didn't have any specific place to go, he was just wandering for the moment, seeing where he would end up.
-
Cecil pressed on, wandering the city streets, watching the people. They all seemed like they had to be somewhere, they were rushing around, as if being late was some kind of crime. Cecil wondered if it actually was. He tried to think of where he could go.
-
Jr-71 Saw many diffrent furs..All whiched seemed to be afarid of him or refuse to go near..For not only was he a steam bot, but a rusted and busted up one to..It saddens him that he was quite out oh place in this....place. And everyone around him seem to act like he is a monster...Which to his mind seemed that maybe, he was a mistake..But then again..He really doesn't know much...
-
Cecil continued to wander. Everything looked the same no matter how far he went in any direction. Something finally caught his eye. A robot, worn down and rusty. Cecil couldn't help feeling some sort of strange connection to it. It looked like it had nowhere to go, it was wandering, looking for a purpose. Just like he was... Cecil began to walk in it's direction.
-
Jr-71 was still shuffleing as it spots a fur walking in his way.. Which almost filled it's emtpy iron heart..but something was trying to make him stop moving.."Stop your to protect furkinzzzzz" which was odd since this wasn't his voice, and it seemed to coming from within..But he shruged it off to get to this fur, as it picked it's left arm off the ground and held it like a baby..
-
Cecil saw the steambot as it tried to become defensive. It was very pitiful, his generous instincts kicked in and he wanted to help. He made it to the robot. "Umm... hello, what's your name?"
-
The manchine was trying to get it's memory in check..but after some search it came up with an idea."I know my factory number is JR-71....but a name...I don't know." You can hear it's vocal cords shake as it spoke and it's defenseive pose die down..
-
"Ok then, I'll just call you JR. You look like you need some repairs, I think I saw a mechanic shop somewhere nearby. Why don't you follow me? I'll take you there and get you fixed up. I have money."
-
He nods and steps behind you..."Who are you, and thank you..I wish I could tell you more..but my memeroy core is gone.."
-
"My name is Cecil, and you're welcome." They stopped at a building. "Think this is it, it doesn't look like much, but they may have what you need. Your missing a memory core you say?"
-
Xander wandered around some more before realising he had nowhere to rest when he felt tired. He happened to stumble across a workshop that seemed like it was relatively abandoned. He approached the door and attempted to turn the handle, sighing as it just rattled in his hand. "Well, shit."
-
"Yes..I think..Well as long as I get my arm on my body, then I'll be fine..Cecil..I see." He nods as he knocks on the door and he waits as some ruffleing was going on inside..
-
The door flies open. A gruff looking wolf answered the knocking. "What you want!?" He yelled, and his glance quickly fell to JR. "Well, looky here, that's a fine robot you got there. Ya here for repairs." He asked Cecil. "Yes, Cecil said. What can you do and for how much?" He asked. The mechanic took on a much more friendlier tone and allowed the two to enter. "Just 100 pieces and I'll have him as good as new! What do you say?" He asked JR.
-
As the door handle rattled, Geoffrey froze and held his breath for a long moment.
-
The sun set was lovely. The buildings casting shadows throughout the beautiful city.
Most began to leave the feasts going home or back to work. Meanwhile Zaida sat in her room laying down trying to relax herself before her father barged in. "It is rude to leave like that, don't do it again..." He hissed a bit drunkly before walking down the hall to his room as the servants began to clean up.
-
JR nodded as a vent of steam leaks though his excuast pipe and it rubs his head...
-
Xander tried turning the door handle one more time, sighing again when it doesn't work. "Maybe someone might be inside. Worth a shot before looking for another way in." He knocked on the door firmly. "Hello?"
-
Cecil handed the mechanic the money. He took it happily. "Wonderful, now follow me little guy." He said as he moved to the back of the workshop. "You see I like them rusty!" He shouted to Cecil. "It means I can give them my magic touch! I'll make him work like new. I'll give him a nice shine and polish!" He said. The mechanic then got to work, hammering metal, and rummaging through a large amount of spare parts."
-
Damn it all.
Geoffrey sneaked up and peered through the peephole. "... Y-Yes?"
-
JR was filled with this new feeling as his vision was increased and his parts moved with ease..."I....I think...I feel happy.." Then when the new memory core was slipped in, his hard drive conneted to it and boom, his head felt much better and he can think oh many things at once.."Thank you sir, I feel that my mind is expanding to this with ease.." He said as he moved his left arm, finally back in it's right place...
-
Xander seemed a little surprised as he recoiled away from the door at the response. "Oh shit, someone actually is in there. Well, I need a place to sleep for a small amount of time. If it isn't any bother, this place would do nicely."
-
Cecil, saw the mechanic practically give JR new life. He was feeling good about himself, this is what he lived for. He loved to help people. "So JR, how do you feel?"
-
"Uh... Well, I don't see why not."
Geoffrey unlocked the door and opened it for the wolf.
-
The wolf stepped into the workshop and took off his trench coat, discarding it to the side as he did. It fell to the floor but he didn't seem to really mind it all that much. He glanced at the person who let him in. "So, who are you?"
-
"Geoffrey," the bear replied, somewhat nervously. He wasn't expecting to be social at all tonight. "A-and you?"
-
"Xander." The white wolf paced for a moment, noticing the slight nervousness, he wasn't too great socially either. Not like he couldn't make friends. He paused and stopped pacing at the thought. That was a lie. He hadn't had a real, true friend for a while. "Relax, I'm not hear to rob you. I'm here to share this building with you for a night or two. Robbing you would be too much effort anyway."
-
Geoffrey nodded and scratched the back of his neck
"Heh... Well, make yourself at home, I guess... Noth--... Nnothing really special about this place. Aside from the, uh... ghost kid."
-
Xander stared at Geoff and scoffed. "Right. Ghost Kid. I'll be sure to keep an eye out for that." He walked over to the nearest soft looking thing and flopped on to it. "I'm sure if I don't bother it, then it will do me a favour and and not bother me. Otherwise that'd be a hassle."
-
"He's pretty shy," Geoffrey replied, "so you don't have to worry about that."
Geoffrey locked the door and walked back into his room to sleep.
-

The elk sighed. "Like I said I wish I could help but I cannot, I'm far too old and weak. Besides I'm forced to be at the church each day for those who pray and worship and if not he'll send men out looking for me and possibly kill my wife" he says quietly.

The elk sighed. "Like I said I wish I could help but I cannot, I'm far too old and weak. Besides I'm forced to be at the church each day for those who pray and worship and if not he'll send men out looking for me and possibly kill my wife" he says quietly.
*he nods*"Fine by me. thanks anyway"*wulfgang sighs before walking to the bathroom*
-
(I have to go to bed soon...and I'm going to my mom's tomorrow so I will post later)
-
(That's fine ^^)
The elk said as he did. "I wish you best of luck... You are brave, I hope you succeed" he says walking out.
The servant. "It's late. Will you be staying the night General Freidrich?" The ferret asked. "I can let master Vlad know" he finished.
Zaida sat looking at Vlad. "Just listen Zaida, show respect or they'll chew you up... I'm just trying to look after you dear... Trust me I may seem like a bad man, but I'm trying my best." He said softly. "I'll be in my room"
-
"I'll stay,rick"
-
"Alright I'll be sure to open a room up and let Vlad know. Holler if you need anything general" he said walking upstairs to Vlad
The rodent lightly knocking on his door "sir, it's late and the General wants permission."
"That's fine, let me rest in not feeling good"
"Yes sir, sleep well."
He walks past Zaida's room unlocking a guest room leaving the door wide open and waiting as he fixed his sleeves.
-
*he walks in*
-
((Can we have a timeskip?))
-
(Sure.)
-
((Thank you :3))
As the sun rose, Geoffrey stretched and crawled out from his cloth pile. He paid no mind to the wolf as he passed him and sat down to continue painting the owl sculpture. This was far from the first time a fellow squatter roomed with him, and it was nice to have company once in a while.
-
(No problem)
Zaida's eyes shot, black before a quick blink back to her regular color, as she woke up early. Her head facing the window looking at the sun with and at the city, a fantastic view but never pleased her.
-
Xander had passed out at around about three in the morning, he was pretty much out for the count right now. He snored quietly as he slept. Occasionally grunting and rolling a litle in his sleep.
-
Geoffrey tried to keep his mind on painting as his stomach grumbled. He was out of food, unfortunately. There might be enough money left to get something decent to eat, but he wasn't too confident. Hopefully Xander could handle himself...
-
(Hey guys I'm back.)
Talia woke up and got dressed. She was currently in the attic of her alchemy shop which she had fashioned into a bedroom. She headed downstairs and headed out as today was her day off.
-
Xander slowly sat up and stretched. He looked over at Geoff lazily his eyes lazily. "Morning."
-
"Morning," Geoffrey greeted, looking at the wolf for a moment before continuing to paint. "So, uh, you homeless too, or uh... not wanting to pay for an inn room? Heh..."
-
"No permanent home at the moment. So yeah, homeless. I need to find a line of work that works for me." Xander slowly stood up and walked over to Geoff. "So, what you doing over here then?"
-
Talia was walking down the street trying to find something interesting but was bored
-
(we are in a workshop)
-
((They're inside a locked building.))
"Uh, sculpture stuff," Geoffrey replied. "Sorta my living."
-
(Oh it sounded like you were on the streets.)
-
"Sculpture stuff eh? So you're one of a more artistic persuasion. Can see why you're on the streets then, that apparently never start off well." He stood up straight and patted Geoff on the back. "Sure that'll look up soon."
-
"Eh... more like I was a complete idiot and lost everything," Geoff muttered. "This is just my way to get by. At least I already had the talent, if you can call it that..."
-
Xander flopped back onto whatever the heap he was sleeping on earlier was, he really wasn't certain. "Well, more talent than I've got at least, I can assure you of that."
-
(So where is this building?)
-
((Somewhere in town, it's not really set yet.))
-
(Ok because I've been sitting here trying to find a better description of where the building is and failing. :S)
-
JR was hopping a bit as his vocal pipes were now clean and brand new, do he sounded like a normal steam bot and looked at the shining full plate which is now his hody.." I feel alive, and I can think withut pain..Thank you...Please let me help you with whatever you need." He says as he shakes your hand a bit too hard and hugs you...
-
"If you think so..."
Geoffrey finished painting the owl, then prepared to open up shop.
-
Zaida opened the door in some old clothing a bit loose on her which were just sleepware.
-
Xander cocked his head. "You actually take customers?"
-
Geoffrey didn't know what to think of that question and just chuckled softly. "Heh, yeah. Business is kinda slow, though..."
Two at a time, he carefully placed each sculpture on a long table at the front of the workshop. Most were of various feral woodland creatures. Most were painted and carved from plaster, some were unpainted and polished wood.
-
JR was wondering what to do now that is knight look is restored and he can hold a lot more memory..So he frist decided to examine that cabin he first saw...
-
Geoffrey opened the curtains and set up the sign.
"Should be a good day... I think... I hope.... "
-
JR was thinking he went to the right way, but he was happy to see that the first place he visit was much werided but it had a sign. So lets try this again..He went up to the front door and knocked on it...
-
Geoffrey realized he forgot to unlock the door this whole time. He facepalmed and unlocked the door, opening it for who he believed to be a customer at first. His eyes widened once they registered the form of the knight--the steam bot from last night.
"Oh! Heh, h-hey there," he greeted with a happy but nervous smile.
-
"Hello their, So I was right that someone lived here.Mind if I come in?" He said knwoing that he could seem odd, then again everything around him seemd to be odd..
-
Xander sat up again and looked over at the steam bot. He cocked his head. "Huh...?"
-
"S-sure," Geoffrey backed up to allow the steam bot through.
-
He walked in and carefully went around not trying to break anything..."I came here not to harm you or anything barabearic, however I want knowledge..and about anything really...Since I know not what my perpose is.." He says as he looks at a painting and folds it's arms...
-
"Hey! Where are you going!" Cecil called out to JR. He rushed out if the mechanic's shop, and saw JR very far away down the street, talking to someone. Cecil ran and caught up to the robot. "Why'd you leave?" He asked while catching his breath.
-
Watching the person rush in, Geoffrey accidentally backed up into the table, slapping his arm against one of the sculptures. He instantly grabbed the sculpture to keep it steady. "Woops, heh..."
-
"Hello....Ceil, I went hear to expand my mind, and to see...these creations....But if I'm a creation...Does this mean I should sit in front of a window of a shop?" He sat down to think, but suprised that it was rather hard to do...
-
Xander glanced absentmindedly at Cecil as he ran up to the robot. "Good one Geoff. Least you caught it. So is the walking suit of armour yours then or what?"
-
"I have a name...yes.. I am JR-71 and I belong to no one...I...I don't know..." He sits down and rubs his helm as his hardware is running over drive..
-
Cecil responded to Xander, "He's not mine. I found him on the street. He needed some major repairs so I took him to a mechanic. So, who are you all?"
-
"My name is Geoffrey," the young bear replied. "I run this, uh, shop. All these works were made by my hands."
He showed a soft, shy smile. "Feel free to look around."
Along the long table, well-made sculptures of various feral woodland creatures sat. Most were painted and carved from plaster, some were unpainted and polished wood.
There was also a table of sketches, also with various wildlife as well as trees, flowers, and landscapes.
Each work had a notecard in front of it, displaying name of it and the price. A few sculptures had a discount, for they got damaged at some point, but he managed to restore them well enough that only a picky art critic could take note.
((I'm not sure how much gold is worth in this RP. But the prices are reasonable for the work, if not cheaper))
-
"Nice name...maybe I should name myself..." He drums his fingers to help with his thought process..
-
Xander receded back into the pile of whatever the heck he was lying on, he was still unsure. "I am Xander. I am a person who decided to stay here and the bear let me. That's about it."
-
Zaida quickly dressed and went out as she had to watch over. The hybrid has her ears low and tail swaying as she looked about, listening and even sniffing her surroundings carefully.
-
"Well hello to you all." Cecil said. "This is a nice shop you have here Geoffrey. Do you get many customers."
-
Zaida walked her, filled with sorrow. Her ears laid down before she stopped looking at the walls ahead 'I wonder if there's more...' She thought curiously giving a sigh through her nose.
-
Geoffrey shrugged sheepishly. "Well, eh, enough that I'm still living, heh..."
-
"That's good. I'm pretty new here if I didn't know, this place is very strange. Do you ever feel like your being watched?"
-
Geoffrey sighed. "Y-yeah. All the time, honestly..."
-
"Who runs this city."
-
"Uhh..."
Geoffrey furrowed his brow in thought. "Err, to be honest, I can't even remember at this moment. Don't really know much about the politics and such here. I... can't even vote, honestly...as if it'd do much..."
-
Xander started to zone out as Cecil and Geoffrey spoke about politics. He didn't really are for all that nonsense. He put his hands behind his head and crossed his legs, one over the other, before letting out a contented sigh.
-
*Wulfgang aighs looking at his gun*
-
"What do you think of the furs out there who have supernatural abilities? Around here people act like they're monsters."
-
Ray wandered about the city, wondering about how he could get any sort of interest for Acon's money. He looked lost, and confused, even moreso when he collided with a lamp-post. The impact knocked the young raccoon down, and made a resounding thud.
-
Geoffrey blinked, somewhat surprised and a perhaps a little discomforted from Cecil's question. He nervously rubbed his arm. "Th-they're fine, to me... Generally good people. B-but from what I understand... the government is afraid of them," he replied.
-
Xander opened one eye as Cecil mentioned furs with supernatural powers. Letting out a dismissive scoff. "Who cares? Not exactly our problem is it?"
-
Geoffrey glanced at Xander. It seemed the wolf took his comment about the ghost kid as a joke, and that was for the best. Now he regretted making that comment, for it could have implied his own ability. Whether or not it counted as the kind the government was after didn't matter to him. It was best to keep it a secret.
-
Cecil could tell that Geoffrey had gotten nervous. "So the government of this city hates them... and what exactly would happen if somehow, they caught one in the city?"
-
"They attack them, or capture them, I-I'm... not entirely sure what they do after that..."
-
Cecil became afraid. He had never been to a place like this, he had always been able to use his powers freely. He never thought that here he would have to hide them. "That's not fair. They're people too. Has anyone tried to do anything about this?"
-
Xander spoke up, clearing his throat as he did. "I heard they just kill them, hide the bodies. That's it."
-
"I-I think that's why they try to get rid of them in the first place," Geoffrey replied, "They're afraid of them using their powers to overthrow them..."
-
"If they just accepted u- I mean... them, they wouldn't have a problem. There would be peace."
-
Xander shrugs. "Meh."
-
Talia was in her shop today, brewing up alchemical goods for the general public. She also had some...illegal trade substances that she only sold to trusted customers that were looking for the good stuff.
-
((Oh my god, mouse chao, yes! :D))
Geoffrey smiled somewhat at Cecil's slip-up and relaxed a little.
"Y-yeah... But there's more issues with this city than that..."
-
"Like what exactly?" Cecil asked.
-
"J-just... corruption and things..." the bear huffed and rubbed his forehead, growing frustrated with all the questions. Not that he had any issue with the new arrival. His patience and brain power was running thin today, largely due to not eating for a couple days.
"but, eh, maybe it's not much different elsewhere," he showed a small, awkward smile. "I dunno. I've been stuck here all my life..."
-
"I'm just a traveler, I've been all over the world. I honestly don't know why I came here. I just sort of walked in."
-
"I'm not sure if I have no idea what you two are talking about or just have zero interest in it, but it's boring me. Maybe we should go and do something?" Xander groaned in boredom and annoyance.
-
Geoffrey would have agreed with Xander's request until hearing what Cecil just said. "Oh... Oh, I wish I could do that... I'd love to explore the world--b-but, well..." he sighed. "Wh-when I say 'stuck', I mean, like... literally stuck. No one can leave..."
-
"No one can leave here?" Cecil said, he wanted to ask why, but he could see that Geoffrey was tired of talking. Instead he took up Xander's offer. "I do think it is time we go outside, it's pretty stuffy in here."
-
Xaner slowly rose to his feet and walked over to where he dropped his trench coat the night before, picking it up and putting it on. He brushed it off then shoved his hands into the pockets. "Yeah, pretty stuffy."
-
"Yeah..."
Geoffrey opened the shop door and held it open for the others.
-
Cecil exited the shop, the sky was deep blue with big fluffy white clouds. If Woodlocke had anything, it was beauty. Cecil took in a deep breath, taking in the fresh air. ((Fixed))
-
Geoffrey relaxed against the building and peered up at the sky, trying not to worry himself too much. He was surprised Cecil still wanted to stick around. He could have sworn he accidentally made the guy uncomfortable at some point. The last thing he wanted to do was scare him off.
-
JR got to his feet and paced around the room.."My memory...this things you say...Are familar...Yes...I have a faint thought about the time I was built....I was told to kill anything....supious, but I thought that didn't make much sense..I know something tells me that what is happening here is bad...but after my repair, the voice has gotten much softer...I think....I think...that.....Sorry I don't know were I was going with that..." He shrugs and sits on the floor.
-
Zaida was at her home being scolded by her father since she apparently asked the wrong question about the city.
"I've done so much and you ask that, I protect the furries here. I'd think you understand by now." He growled. "This is for everyone's own good..." He then paused turning around. "You got this from wulfgang haven't you? I've heard him, although he's no threat not yet of course but he's blinded you, hmm" he snapped. "...you do know he's using you, he's a general all his life he was trained to backstab, kill... You do know that zaida?" He said fixing the small carved horse on the desk.
-
Xander followed the others out of the building. His movements were a little sluggish and slow. He supposed he still felt a little tired. Ah well, I can deal with it.
-
Geoffrey suddenly got a little dizzy and exhaled as he rested the back of his head against the wall. He pulled a piece of chewing gum from his jacket pocket and stuck it in his mouth as he descended deep into thought.
-
JR was looking at the furs and stood up.."Whats wrong my firends?"
-
"Nothing JR, we're just relaxing out here. I'm glad that you've gotten to feeling better. Do you by any chance know when you were built?"
-
Xander cocked his head. "Can a robot really even feel anything? Like at all? Not even just bad but like good in anyway. I don't exactly know how they work."
-
Ray had returned to the bank, and pulled the sign away. He stepped inside, and again locked himself behind the counter. A few customers showed up, depositing small amounts. Fifty gold here, a hundred there. Ray never felt so productive. With this money, he began to make deals with nearby stores, charity organizations, and city systems. A small inflow of money began to make itself clear to the young raccoon, and he smiled.
-
"Well...I don't know what is it is to feel...but I do have a focused mind, and have no worries..So I belive they call that happiness, as for my constrotion. Well I belive I was built ummmm ah! 5 months ago. Oh and since you all have nick names, I figured to give myself one. So I perfer to be called Mikey, it has a certin ring to it." He folds his arms and his boiler seems to hum in a alomst musical sound...
-
"Mikey, I like that. So what else do you remember Mikey?"
-
"I do know that.... I was made to kill outsiders...whatever that is.."
-
Geoff scratched his head. "So... you were made for the police, I'm guessing..."
-
"Well the past is the past. Your free now your purpose is whatever you believe it is. What DO you think your purpose is now Mikey?"
-
Xander's ears twitched a little as heard the name 'Mikey'. He didn't like that name, as far as he was concerned it didn't have a particularly nice ring to it. He frowned slightly but shrugged it off.
-
Geoffrey spit the gum into a piece of scrap paper.
So the steam bot really does have some sort of sentience. He wondered how such a thing was even possible. Then again, he didn't understand much about steam bots in general. At least he knew Mikey wasn't going to arrest him or anything.

Duernab Passes through a busy street, on his back was his gun, in his hand a crumpled piece of paper, actually a pair of pieces, but thats hard to see from a distance, and few dared get close to him. The crowd almost seemed to split ahead of him, allowing him to pass through easily and quickly.
He had tracked this killer so far. Xander. These jobs were always easy, they were reckless, scared. Always made the first move. Always died easily. Or ran. Not that running helped. He turns off the busy street, into an alleyway, and heads towards the industrial area. Could not be far now...
-
Xander cleared his throat loudly, not pleased with the fact they were all basically right outside the door to the workshop. "We actually planning on going anywhere or are we gonna sit around here? Here is fine I guess."
-
"I don't know a lot about this city. I don't really have a place to go. Do you have any suggestions Xander?
-
Geoff grunted and scratched his head again. "Y-yeah... how about we get something to eat?"
-
She sat in the room silent looking at the floor memories passing through her mind. "Is he He's right..." She asked with a soft mumble looking up to gaze out the window, watching the city below.
-
"That's a good idea, do you know a good restaurant nearby?"
-
Xander's eyes widened and he shook his head. "Two of us are broke! We can't exactly afford to go to a restaurant."
-
Geoff checked his coin sack for a moment. It was pitifully light. "I, uh... Gotta have more somewhere," he mumbled, "G-give me a moment..."
He headed back inside to pick out any change he might have lying about.
-
"Money...hmmm...Thats something I have a little knowledege about as for my perpose....I don't know..." He satnds up as he checks his fuel tank.."Do you know where water is?"
-
Xander tapped his chin for a moment as he thought. "I suppose a restaurant may offer you some water for free. So I guess it wouldn't hurt going anyway, right?"
-
Geoffrey returned with a couple more coins and counted the rest, groaning quietly to himself.
-
"I guess we don't have to eat there. We could just go for the water that Mikey needs."
-
"Sounds good enough to me. So then let's go. No point in standing around here for much longer." Xander began to walk, heading in the direction of the nearest restaurant, using only his knowledge of the city, which wasn't much at least when it came to restaurant locations. He knew places he could hide for a while without being bothered, but not restaurants.
-
Duernab was not far from the workshop now. He pauses to check his gun, still loaded. Still ready to do what he needed to it to do. This was where he had heard the target had been sighted, probably squatting in a abandoned building like street filth. Duernab grins. That should mean he can avoid a public confrontation, no-one important would see this. With luck.
-
Cecil followed Xander, he was glad that he didn't have to find the restaurant by himself or he'd surely get lost. And then Mikey would run out of water. Cecil couldn't help but wonder what happened if Mikey ran out of water, would he "die"? Or would he just stop until someone filed him back up? Regardless, Mikey was Cecil's friend, and he wanted to help him out.
-
Mikey was reliveved that they would get some water and food for the organic beings...He remeanbers on the night of his awakeing their was rain. He had this bruning feeling in his harddrive which was a little man barking orders at him...It was getting a little annoying, but as he moved making his gears and pipes pump or turn..The voice faded and now he started to think more then his perpose, he thought as these beings as....Family, and what that meant to be.."Ceil...whats a family?"
-
Geoffrey grunted softly as they walked.
"Family..." he muttered. "People... who... care for each other, I guess. I-I mean, outside genes... I me--eh... uh..."
He shook his head, rubbing his forehead. "I-Ignore me..."
-
Xander stopped walking for a moment and looked back at the bear. "You alright? We aren't going to have to carry you all the way to this place are we?"
-
"Pfft, no," Geoffrey forced out a chuckle. "My brain's not working right at the moment..."
-
Zaida rode a black horse around the town. Until stopping to look at the posters seeing there was going to be an execution soon tonight for a few furries one for being a thief, another taking the life of an officer, and a few others and all must participate in watching the execution. "Of course" she growled she walked past crowds eventually stopping to face the great walls of the city, breathing from her nose mist escaping.
-
Mikey took this to heart, whatever that is. And fallowed the family he now thinks he has..."So...does that make us a family? And if so... Does that have a higher perpose other then a title?"
-
Xander shook his head. "I barely know any of you. I hardly consider any of you friends, you're acquaintances at best. Geoffrey has a bit of head start I guess, he did let me into the workshop after all." He couldn't stand this talk of family right now. He took a sudden turn, just before they walked out onto the main street.
-
Mikey watched him leave but decied to stay with the bigger group..More protection that way..
-
Geoff saw Xander take a turn and slipped away as well. He had a feeling he wasn't going to get a meal anytime soon with the group, and if he had to snatch something edible from the market, he'd rather not have the others see. He didn't worry about Xander, though. Surely he wouldn't care.
-
Duernab was at the workshop, He could see the door was open, and heads over. He had seen the sign, some damn sculpture... but no sign of them present, in fact no sign of anyone. He swears. This was the place. He was damn certain. He guessed he would have to wait. Even if Xander did not come back, the owner of these sculptures would eventually, and he could find out where the murderer went from there. The building did not belong to the current occupant. So it would not take much... persuading. He picks a sculpture up, looking at it. Its actually well made. The sculptor must be proud of them... Another method if he needed it. Question was. Did he wait, or try to pursue. He looks around for any evidence as to where his target might have gone from here.
-
Mikey looked at the family..or this new word...allys..hmmm..But he kept up with the group and tryed to think of how to aptane this "money" without hassle or breaking rules. "I belive that this money you want can be in your hands if you do a favor for someone...Maybe I can help with that." He shrugs and checks his water supply..
-
Xander sighed, he had noticed Geoff slipping away just as he had. He considered going back, he felt bad. It was only one turn, heading back wouldn't exactly be hard. However, he didn't want them starting to rely on him for anything. He especially didn't want them seeing him as family...
-
"I'm afraid that it doesn't really work that way Mikey, to get money you need a job. And as far as I know Geoffrey is the only one with one of those. It's a shame though. It doesn't seem like he makes a lot of money..."
-
Geoffrey glanced at a poster. A thief was in line for the block tonight. He gulped and shook his head. They wouldn't do that to a lowly food thief, would they? It had to be a bigger job to deserve that sort of punishment. Though he wouldn't be surprised with this city. He had to be careful.
Suddenly, he remembered his shop. He was so preoccupied with socializing, he forgot to close it down while he went out! Stupid!
He turned and jogged his way back to the workshop.
-
Duernab is already in the "store" he hears Geoff returning, He slouches by the door. Scowling.
-
Geoff stepped into the shop, immediately going to check his sculptures to make sure none were stolen, and sure enough, one of the deer sculptures was missing.
"Oh, g-god damn it," He growled to himself.
-
"This is technically called trespassing." The tiger states, standing beside the door, Geoff had walked right past him. He idly throws the deer sculpture in the air and catches it. The bear did not look particular tough. This should be easy enough.
-
Geoff jolted at the voice and span around.
"L-I-I'm sorr--can...I-I'll leave," he stammered, his hands raised as he backed up.
-
"Oh, I don't think we need to do that yet." Duernab steps forward a few paces. "You can keep the... shop? Though I need some information. I am looking for a murderer."
-
Xander was about to return to Mikey and Cecil, thinking he could pass it off as getting lost. If he had been portraying the right kind of image they should believe it, he hoped. However, as he took a step he felt like something was off. It was a sense of foreboding, like something could happen soon. Not uncommon for this city and it probably meant nothing, but he wasn't going to ignore it.
-
Geoff relaxed somewhat and lowered his hands. "Uh... M-mur--Okay..."
-
"His name is Xander. White wolf. Sighted hanging around nearby. Have you seen him?" Duernab asks.

(your accepted... Ugh tried posting and it deleted and I'm working blehe... *gurgles*)
-
(I think I will rejoin this rp. I had trouble at first since I had no clue how to introduce Talia so I took a break. Anyway what has happened so far?)
-
(Not much at all really. Got a villain though)
-
((Another black bear!! :D ))
"His name is Xander. White wolf. Sighted hanging around nearby. Have you seen him?" Duernab asks.
Geoff's eyebrows rose. So that guy was a murderer. He sure didn't seem the type, but he only knew of him for a short time.
"Uh, y-yeah, I did," the bear replied, his ears lowered slightly.
-
(Where is everyone anyway?)
-
Duernab takes another step forward. "where are they." He asks, coldly.
((Villain here :D ))
((Me and geoff are at the workshop Geoff uses as a shop. The other active characters are all in the streets. as far as I am aware.))
-
As the two talk about this Murderer, loud foot steps are heard behind the door, a few shuffles and a cough. The handle of the door starts to jiggle and it then pops open. All large black bear was standing in the door way with a large gin on his face, "Hello! Hello! I am Reise! Nice to meet you! I heard you had sculptures hear! Is that correct? If it is, I would love to buy some for a high price! For my collection if you where wondering."
-
"I-I'm not sure exactly, but he turned left on, uh, Parker--"
Geoff turned to the fellow bear. "Haha, y-you picked an odd time to come in, sir, but yes, feel free to look."
-
The bear light up with excitement and proceeded to walk around the shop looking at things, giggling, and smiling.
-
Duernab turns to face the other bear. "Actually I would prefer you wait until my business here is DONE" He states. "And It would be unwise to..." Duernab twitches, the guy just waltzed in. Barely even seeing him. He twitches and snarls. "Which street?" he asks. Quietly fuming.
-
Geoff trembled. "P-Parker. Parker Avenue."
-
The bear turns around fast with fire in his eyes and a big grin on his face, "Oh. Okay, I will leave just for you little man." He walks out and slams the door behind him. You can still see his silhouette in the door, waiting until your business is done.
-
Duernab's hand clench into fists, unfortunately crushing the unfortunate dear sculpture. "Thank you." He whispers. "Now... Geoff. I think thats your name. If you see Xander again. You should report him. Immediately." He glances around thinking if there was anything else that needed doing. Satisfied, he turned to leave. "Thanks for your cooperation." He states. opening the door.
-
Geoff gaped at the ruined sculpture, then pressed his lips together as he nodded at the tiger's request. After watching him march out, he sighed and began picking up the pieces. That's another piece of his hard work destroyed...
-
The other bear proceeded to walk into the shop, looked down, and began to help, "Who was that man? What did he want from you?"
-
Talia was wondering around on Parker Avenue alone looking for alchemical ingredients in a dark alley way.
-
Xander took a deep breath, he had stayed put. The foreboding feeling had passed, he felt like he could move on now. "This place has the most wrong feel to it. Just feels...Off." He realised he was talking to himself. "Probably cuz it's filled with crazy people like me who stand around talking to themselves instead of getting a move on." He started to head back the way he came.
-
Duernab turns into the avanue, He looks over the area. Found him.
He moves in, closer to Xander, tailing him. He wanted to be up close and personal for this one... He pulls out his baton, grinning, he tries to sneak closer.
-
The other bear proceeded to walk into the shop, looked down, and began to help, "Who was that man? What did he want from you?"
"Some police officer," Geoff replied, "looking for a murderer..."
He peered at the sculpture shards and sighed. "Can't repair it..."
-
Xander's ears twitched at the sound of oncoming footsteps. It could mean nothing but in this city that is just not a chance worth taking. He slowly turned, hands in his pockets to face the tiger. "Well hello there. Need something?" He pretended not to notice the baton, staying completely relaxed.
-
After they where done cleaning up the mess the bear stands up and smiles while looking around the shop. "Well, I wish I couldn't but I must go. Goodbye, and try to have a better day." He turns around and opens the door and walks down the street.
-
Talia came out of a nearby alley way holding a bunch of weird mushrooms in a basket. She saw the police with the baton and Xander and simply observed.
-
Duernab grins. "Xander... 6 counts of murder. several more thefts. Several more minor crimes. You made a mistake showing your face again." He states. Standing still for now, almost inviting Xander to try to run.
-
For what must have been the first time in a while, a genuine smile crept across Xander's face. He found this extremely amusing. "Oh really? That's what this is about? Just that, is it? Sure, I'll act like I buy that." He couldn't help but chuckle a little. "Why exactly do you care then, as I recall, those people weren't model citizens." He was still completely relaxed, showing no signs of preparing to fight or run.
-
As Reise walks down the street he sees an ally way with someone looking down it. He proceeds to look into the ally with the girl and looks at the man with the baton. "You again." He looks at him with anger and hatred, but does not but in and stays back.
-
"Alright. Y-You too."
Geoff smiled softly and waved at the other bear, but the smile faded and quivered as he left. A potential customer gone. Again. A depressed whimper escaped the poor bear's throat as he slumped to the floor.
-
Duernab's face hardens. "You. Stay out of it." he barks over his shoulder. "Official buisness. MOVE ALONG."
"As for you. Xander. Maybe your right... but does it matter? are you going to come with me. Or do we do this the hard way?" He asks, grinning.
((Wait what Talia? What is happening to make you run to his side? for now I am ignoring as I assume you made a mistake or misunderstood something.))
-
(Oops I was reading geoffs. My mistake. :$)
-
(No biggie)
Xander stared at Duernab, his smile only widening. "Oh. But of course, I'd just love to come along with a member of an obviously corrupt police force. As much as that would be the easy option, and I'd really like to take it. No. I don't think I'll come with you."
-
Duernab Grins, "Then we do this the hard way." and lunges at Xander with the baton, aiming to smash it into the side of his head before he could react.
-
Reise jumps with fright and changes at the police officer screaming, "Police brutality!" He then tries to grab him and lift him up.
-
Xander goes to dodge the blow, stumbling backwards a few steps. He was still perfectly relaxed, the move was a pretty obvious on and he was ready for it. He was not, however, ready for what Reise had decided to do. That threw him off a little.
-
"Idiot." Talia facepalms. Now she has to get involved so she draws her twin pistols.
-
Duernab snarls, and elbows the air behind him. Hoping to connect it with Reise's Jaw. He also swings again at Xander, moving so he is sideways reletive to both his opponents, so he can fight both of them at once.
-
He stumbles backwards and looks at the Police Officer and laughs manically, "This is going to be fun!" He goes into a fighting stance with a big smile on his face.
-
Xander wasn't as ready for this swing, still surprised by what was happening. He just managed to raise his arm in front of his face and take the blow. The blow made him whirl around and he grinned as he was facing an alleyway. He gave Reise a salute. "Thanks for the assist bear." He took off down the alley way as fast as he could cradling his arm. "Bears have been making a habit of helping me lately. Weird."
-
Duernab Swears, then looks at the bear. A good target in his own right. And easier to deal with than the unwilling wolf. "You made a mistake, you helped him get away, that makes you as guilty as him." He purrs. He lunges at the bear, aiming for the stomach. He regretted not using the rifle instead...
-
It could not be seen by any normal person, but a translucent figure, an antelope child, floated its way toward Geoffrey.
Geoff looked up. "Oh, h-hi, Darren..."
The ghost bowed his head and smiled softly, then sat down beside the bear.
Geoff sensed the child's concern of his sadness. His gaze fell back to the floor.
"I don't know what to do," he mumbled to the kid. "I promised myself I wouldn't thieve anymore, b-but business is too slow lately. I don't think I have a choice... b-but it's just not right... and if I'm caught..."
-
Reise looks up at Xanders and yells, "You are welcome my friend! Now to deal with this one!" He grabs the police officers hand lifting him up and squeezing him, " You have made a big mistake little man!" He then drops him and tries to punch him in the gut, laughing while doing so.
-
Duernab was no push over, he kicks Reise in the stomach as he is liifted, and twists his hand, allowing his claws to dig into the bears palm. the punch to the gut causes him to stagger, but he looks up at the bear grinning despite the pain. "Guess your belly makes up for your brain."
-
The bear looks up at him and laughs, "You are funny man! I like you!" he grabs his arm and lifts up despite the pain. He headbutts the police officer and proceeds to push him.
-
Duernab finds his back pressed into a wall, he snarls, and claws at the bears face, pushing himself off the wall with his legs. He did not look in great shape, but then again, He had suffered much worse injury. "Funny, I don't like you" He snarls.
-
The bear backs of and holds his face with both paws. He looks up at him, with rage in his eyes. That smile that was once on his face was gone, now replaced with anger and hate. He roars and charges at the officer and tackles him.
-
Duernab snarls as he hits the floor, punching the bear in the head. "GET. OFF. ME." He tries to crawl back and get to his feet.
-
The bear stands up and cleans his jacket. "Now look what you did to my face. I need to get a bandage because of you. Oh well." The bear smiles "That was fun, don't you think?" he cleans the blood of his face and coughs.
-
Duernab stands up. "Thats it? you just back off?" He says, confused.
-
"Well if you want me to go back at it. Then sure lets fight! But I thought about it while I tackled you and tried to rip your face off. This was nothing more than me trying to protect someone I thought was being hurt. But then I remember what you said in the sculpture shop. You where looking for a murderer. That man must have been the murderer."
He looks at the officer with a smirk, "Yes, I did assault and try to kill a man of the law. So please arrest me and take me in for my crimes." He sticks his hands out and smiles.
-
Duernab snarls, and looks at Talia, that... bitch... was watching the whole fight, and looked like she was going to do something nasty with her guns... it was not worth the risk. "I think your face is all the punishment you need for now... not that it looks much worse." Duernab grins, and backs away. Before picking up his baton and moving away from the area. He needed to get back somewhere he could nurse his injuries.
((I need to sleep now. Night all :3 ))
-
(Goodnight!!)
Reise looks at Talia smiles and walks away.
-
Geoff closed up shop and curled up in his cloth pile bed. It was a little too early, but it wasn't like he'd get any customers today anyway.
((Gonna get some sleep too))
-
Xander ran until he was sure he wasn't being followed then he stopped and slumped against a wall. So he was actively being hunted now, fantastic. He could practically feel his life span getting shorter. He stopped cradling his arm, it was limp. It wasn't broken that was for certain, so he concluded that he was hit with a shock baton. "Well... That's gonna feel just amazing in a short while..." He stumbled off to find a nice, hopefully warm place to hide out for the night. Anywhere quiet would do.
-
Cecil was caught in the chaos, he ran and hid in an alleyway. Then he realized he was all alone. "Mikey! Mikey! Where are you are you okay!" He called out.
-
Mikey had shut off due to this madness to protect himself and awoke when the seen has resolved..He looked for Ceil as he heard his cry for his nameand ran stomping his metal feet to protect his saver.."Ceil are you ok?!"
-
((erm, When I attacked Xander, I assumed he was seprate from the rest of you, in fact that's why I waited before acting :S ))
-
(Well thats what I thought to,,but since I feel asleep I just made my Steam bot shut off, sooo He doesn't even know what just happend.)
-
Geoffrey stay hidden under his worn-out blanket, his snout sticking out and sniffling at the dusty air. He was too restless to sleep.
He lifted his head up and gripped the blanket close.
"'Yeah, 'pity me', right?" he muttered to himself. "It's my fault I'm in this mess..."
-
Duernab links into the station. He knew who he is hunting now. He also had a few more faces to report. he huffs as he slouches down in a seat, waiting to submit his report. He was probably going to get told off for letting the perp get away. A minor setback.
-
(What'd I miss?)
-
((Duernab beat the Reise up a bit, then retreated because you had guns out, and he was scared you were going to use them. Xander ran away and escaped almost unscathed))
-
(Duernab attacked Xander, Reise intervened, Xander ran away and hid)
Xander woke up in a room on the top floor of an old abandoned apartment building. He shivered, damn place was cold even if he was wearing his trench coat. He was pretty sure it was still the same day. He could feel his arm again, it was tingling annoyingly. "Had to hit me didn't he? Had to be a stun baton. Such a pain in the ass."
-
(Ok)
Talia had run back to her shop and put up the closed sign.
"Great now the police are going to be after me. Just perfect, just ****ing perfect." Talia began to gather some things. She knew was going to have to lie low for a while till things blow over.
-
Cecil heard Mikey's call and then saw the robot not too far from where he was, he ran over to him. "There you are. Are you ok? Did you see what happened?
-
Sorry the sound of the voice made me overload so I had to shut myself off to pervent damage, so I saw nothing." He looked at his tank and then back at Cecil.."I belive I really need to refuel." He looks around and takes Cecil by the hand to what his built in memory says is a restruant..
-
Cecil wondered at first where Mikey was leading him, but then he saw it. A restaurant, more of a bar really. They walked in and Cecil approached the bartender. "Excuse me, do you have any water? I have a steambot that needs fuel." The bartender said absolutely nothing, he disappeared under the counter and came back up with a medium size tank. "Just take it he said." Cecil took it and handed it over to Mikey. "Well... is this enough?" He asked.
-
Geoffrey lifted himself up with the blanket draped over him like a hooded cloak, and he paced around the main room of the workshop. Darren appeared again, looking at the sculptures left sitting on the tables.
"Oh hey," Geoff greeted the ghost child. He exhaled and sat down in his sculpting chair. "...There has to be something I'm doing wrong... Maybe I should start a different theme..."
Darren cocked his head, uncertain of what Geoff meant.
"Well, woodland ferals," Geoff explained, "Those were the most popular when I first started selling my work. Probably because... well, people don't get to see them much, being stuck in the city and all. Maybe the fad's grown tired..."
"I like," the antelope told him, smiling while pointing to the recent owl sculpture.
Geoff showed him a soft smile back. "Yeah, I know. I like it, too. But I'm sure many more notable artists have been doing the same stuff, and people are getting bored with the concept... But what should I do next?"
-
Reise stood in a local bars bathroom, staring at his face with cuts all over it. He began to put bandages over his face, they covered his left eye and the top of his head, like a bandanna. He then walked out and proceeded to walk away once again.
-
Xander wandered out of the apartment building. He was starting to become hungry and he certainly wasn't going to find food sitting around and moping. He flexed his left arm a little, it was still tingling, but at least he could move it fine. He made a mental note to hit that jackass right in the kneecap with his own stun baton next time they met.
-
Geoffrey prepared a cylinder mold of plaster and paced around in thought while waiting for it to harden. He had to be careful when experimenting. Sculpture supplies were not free, and a flopped project only wasted what little money he had. Money he could have spent keeping fed.
Food. If that customer had purchased something, anything, he would have had a chance to eat something. But no, that damned policeman had to take that away from him!
The thought of the tiger boiled the bear's blood, his lips parted and baring his fangs. He swung his clenched fist against the table, the jarring sound disturbing the silence of the workshop.
-
((Is it too late to join?))
-
(Not really.)
-
((Should be fine.))
-
Talia went out her back door with a bag full of her stuff.
"There has got to be somewhere...the abandoned apartments is probably the safest chose." Talia ran down alley ways, making her way to the abandoned apartments.
-
Geoffrey finally grew tired enough and flopped into his cloth pile to sleep.
-
Reise stood in front of a abandon apartment. It was getting dark and he needed somewhere to stay for awhile. So he then walked into the apartment and scanned the area for anyone. Nothing, he then walked into a dark corner, placed his pack onto the ground, pulled out a blanket and placed it on the ground and he sat on it. He pulled out a pencil and book and began to write his transactions of the day.
-
Talia than walked into the apartments carrying a rather large bag. She looked around but didn't see Reise as she looked for a place to set up.
-
Xander was walking around, looking for food to eat. He pinched a packet of crisps off a stall and was munching on them but that wasn't exactly much.
-
Duernab was patched up enough, and was now preparing his spare (clean) uniform for the execution later. He was not looking forward to it. He felt it was a waste of time. Kill them in the streets, Cleaner and quicker. Better for all concerned.
Still, the fear the killing created was good he guessed. Always helps to keep people in line.
-
After a fitful dream, Geoff awoke suddenly, but he was not in his bed. No, he was standing. But looking down, he could see a mass laying there, a reddish-brown black bear. Himself. How?! He had to still be dreaming, at least, he hoped so. Peering closer, there were no signs of life from his body.
No, no, it had to be a dream...
-
Talia went deeper into the apartments and found an empty room. She than began to empty her bag and all its contents. It had a whole bunch of alchemical weapons, bombs, and other useful things from her shop to help her live here.
-
Reise saw Talia enter the room. He stood up and followed silently. He entered the room that Talia was in, "Hello there." He said with a smile. The bandages on his face covered most of his smile though.
-
"Eep!" Talia exclaimed as she nearly jumped out of her fur because of Reise. She quickly turned and let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh it's just you. You scared me."
-
Reise laughs and says, "I am sorry, I did not mean to scare you, I just wanted to say hi. I saw you come in but you never noticed me." He looks at all the things on the ground and gestures if he could sit down.
-
"Please sit. You know you caused me a lot of trouble." Talia as she continued to organize her stuff.
-
He sits down and looks up at Talia, "Like how? Oh wait don't tell me is it because I attacked that Police Officer?" He begins to laugh. "You never had to pull out your weapons. I had it all under control." He begins to rub his bandages. "Well sort of." He chuckles a little bit.
-
"Yeah but you could have gotten yourself killed, so I had to do something." Talia searches her mechanical arm because it wasn't that comfortable.
-
"Oh my time is nearly almost up anyway. I'm old and I need to rest." He looks at Talias arm. "I have something for you, I noticed you hava a mechanical arm. I have one if you want it. Much better than that one."
-
"I couldn't take your arm, I'm sure you need it more."
-
Geoff panicked and dived back in to his body.
He gasped and panted for air. He was fine. He felt chilly, despite the blanket around him, but he wasn't dead. He continued to breathe in thought. It was more than a dream, surely...
-
He shows Talia his arms and wiggles his fingers. "Oh silly I have both my arms." He proceeds to stand up and walk down to his pack. He comes back up with a yellow arm. He sits down again and shows it. "It is like any other arm. It has fingers little joints in between the fingers to have extra mobility, and this little pack right on the top is used for giving a 100,000 voltes of electricity to anyone it hits. Just spin your hand around and once it reaches a point where sparks are coming out. Open your palm and a shock will come out." He smiles, he clearly is admiring his own work. "I've had it with me for three years trying to get rid of it." He hands Talia it. "Take it."
-
"...thank you." Talia takes the arm and attaches it to her stump. It take said second for her to be able to move it but when she does it feels great.
"Wow this arm feels great, it's even more comfortable than that piece of metal right there." Talia says refers to her old arm.
-
Reise smiles and picks up the old arm, "If you don't mind I am going to take the old one." He picks it up and looks at it.
-
"Go ahead I don't need it any more. I'll have to give this arm a new coat of paint later because I'm sorry to say this but yellow is my least favorite color." Talia says rubbing the back of her head.
-
Reise laughs and stands up, "It is perfectly fine! Do whatever you like with it, its yours now." He walks to his pack and puts the arm in it. He slings his pack on his back and ask, "Are you staying hear? Because I am leaving."
-
"I have too, the cops might be looking for me and I need to hide for little while."
-
Reise stands up and walks away he turns back around and waves goodbye, he opens the door and shuts it behind him. The sounds of loud footsteps begin to fade away.
-
"...I hope he stays safe." Talia set up her bed on an old mattress and got undressed. Now down to just her undergarments she slipped under the covers and started reading a book.
-
Geoffrey was too scared to sleep again, but at the same time, he wanted to know what he did to have that experience. Why was he scared anyway? He didn't have much to really live for.
He took a deep breath and relaxed with his eyes shut tight. He exhaled, and he could feel himself detach from his body and float upwards. So he did have control over this... power. Fantastic...
It was best to not stay out of his body for too long just in case, but now that he was apparently a spirit, he wondered how much he could do. He stuck a hand through the wall, then his whole body. He decided to wander further away from the building to see if he was limited to a certain range.
-
Cecil left the bar and Mikey, who was refilling himself with the water. "I'm going back out, don't stay in there too long." Cecil called out, he wasn't going to go very far anyway. The street he was on looked completely abandoned. There was absolutely no one around. Cecil got an idea, he concentrated and a diamond shaped portal opened up. It led straight to that alleyway that was near Geoffrey's house. He went through it quickly and closed both portals. He then made his way to the bear's shop. Certain that no one had seen him.
-
Reise stopped dead in his tracks, he saw some sort of portal open. He walked faster towards it, faster and faster he walked.
-
Geoff noticed the mouse. "O-oh hey," he greeted hesitantly. "C-can you see me?"
Cecil was not able to see Geoff, but he might have been able to hear his greeting, although sounding somewhat garbled.
-
Reise walks right up behind the mouse and taps his shoulder, "You! What was that? That hing you just walked out of?" Reise then turns around staring at the sky like he heard something. He then looks back at the mouse.
-
Cecil was speechless. He was just frozen, eventually he spoke. "You mean you... you saw that!? Please! Please don't tell anyone! I don't want to die! Please!"
-
"Calm down, calm down! I will not tell anyone! I only have one question. What was that and how did you do it?" Reise looked at the mouse with a stern emotionless face.
-
"It's just something I can do. I've always been able to do that. Have you ever heard of certain people who have supernatural abilities? Well, i'm one of them. But you can't tell anyone! The police here, they murder people like me. Out of cold blood!"
-
Well, that answered his question.
Geoffrey flew back into his room and entered his body again. He gasped and gave himself a moment to recover.
-
"Yes, I have heard of those kind of people. And I will not tell anyone. Just be careful next time and don't do that in a city like this, Again." Reise looks around and begins to walk forward a bit, he looks behind him and ask, "You want to come with me?"
-
"Ok I think it's time to get to work." Talia closed her book and got out of bed. She took a coat out of her bag to keep herself warm and started making stuff with her alchemy kit. However while she did this she made an illusion of a wall where the door was so who ever walked by would most likely believe there was no room here.
-
"Sure, but where are you going?"
-
"To a sculpture shop down the road from here." He begins to walk towards the shop with the mouse.
-
"Ok then." Cecil said and he followed the stranger. Then he realized, Mikey! He was still in the bar wasn't he? Cecil wondered if he should turn around. The steam bot had plenty of fuel now, it wouldn't hurt him if he was on his own for a while. Cecil decided that he would stay with this person, he seemed to know what he was doing.
-
Geoffrey wanted to meet up with the two, but his body felt too weak to push himself up right away. He made note to not overuse this ability next time.
-
"Where here." Reise said, he opened the door and yelled. "Hello! Is anyone home?"
-
Geoffrey jolted. He forgot to lock the door again, damn it...
He pushed himself to his feet and peered into the main room of the workshop. Seeing the fellow bear and mouse, he relaxed.
"Oh, h-hey..."
-
"Oh, hello Geoffrey. It's good to see you again."
-
"Ah yes! Hello there! Last time I was hear I never got to buy anything! I have came back to buy things!" Reise smiled and scratched his face which was still covered in bandages.
-
Geoffrey smiled softly. "Ah... w-what happened to your face--I-I mean, uh..."
He waved a hand over his own face, referencing the bandage "Th-the, wound... thing."
-
"That tiger that came in the other day. I attacked him. And he scratched me.... Anyway what is your most expensive item here?" Reise smiled and looked around a bit.
(Post your response below I gotta go real quick be back in like 10 minutes)
-
"...I forgot food." Talia face palmed as she felt her stomach growl. She got dressed and took down illusion. When she was dressed she looked in a mirror and thought for a moment.
"...hmm." She put up a new illusion that altered her features to make her look like a fennec fox with long blonde hair.
"Perfect." With that she headed out of the apartments.
-
Geoffrey blinked. "I-uh... Uh..." He rubbed his forehead. "Uh... I-I can't remember right now... It should say, on the... uh..."
He span his hand, trying to get the proper words out. "The-the, price... paper-things, on em, in front'um..."
-
"Are you okay Geoffrey? You seem a little out of it."
-
(I am back)
"Um are you okay?" Reise walked up to Geoffrey.
-
Geoffrey shook his head. "Yeah, Sorry... I'm just... stressed... kinda dizzy, honestly..."
-
Talia was on her way to her shop when she heard a conversation going on in Geoffrey's shop. Seeing a whole bunch of people she went in to check it out.
"Excuse me but I notice there are quite few people in this shop...a few more than usual. What is going on?"
(Talia didn't disguise the yellow arm by the way since its a new feature to her.)
-
"Anyway you never told me whaa." He turns around and see's the yellow arm and looks up at the fox. "How did you get that arm?" Reise walked up to the fox. His face looked angry and annoyed.
-
"Uh...what arm?" Talia said taking off her arm and hiding it behind her back. She would drop her disguise...if there weren't other people here.
-
"Did you steal that from one of my customers!" The bear got furious, clenching his fist and grinding his teeth. "No one! Steals from my customers! Give me that army right now!" He tried to grab it by force, but not to forceful since he didn't want to hurt the fox.
-
Talia backed up but ended up tripping over hersel which caused her to lose focus on the disguise. She falls on her rear end looking like Talia, as the illusion disappears.
-
Reise jumped back with a screech. "What in gods green are you doing! Don't scare me like that!" He begins to help Talia up.
-
Cecil was suprised. How many people like him were actually in this city? "You, your look changed. How did you do that?" He asked.
-
Xander was wandering around still. He had stolen an apple and wan munching on it happily.
-
"Sorry there was to many people here I don't know...and I just showed my power..." when Talia was helped up she started to move towards the exit.
-
Feeling ready, Duernab left for the execution site. Most of the city was told to attend, so there should be quite a crowd.
-
(What's the execution site?)
-
"Wait you don't have to go. I'm like you too."
-
"Y-you are? Prove it." Talia said still not sure whether to trust you.
-
Reise steps in. "He does not need to prove it, I saw it happen in front of me."
-
((I don't know exactly, but I would assume its where the city kills people :P ))
((Its something Zaida said was happening. you will have to PM her for details))
-
Talia relaxed a bit as she did trust Reise.
"Ok...I guess I trust you." She picked up her arm that she had dropped and put it back on.
-
Geoffrey stayed silent, not wanting to get into the tiff. Instead, he browsed through the sculptures, trying to remember which one was worth the most. The largest and most detailed ones were the most expensive, of course. One sculpture was of two feral deer in a charging match, another was a tree with multiple squirrels and birds resting on the branches and in and around the trunk. They might be worth more for the work than the listed price.
((I'm not sure how much the currency is worth in this RP, just that it's gold coins))
-
"So what is your name? Mine is Cecil." He said, and extended a hand out, offering a handshake.
-
Reise turned around and pointed at the sculpture with the two feral deers. "I want that one, how much will it cost?"
-
"Talia...Talia Garrison." Talia shakes cecil's hand.
"If you were wondering, I can tell my power is illusions to trick people."
-
"My name is Cecil. My power... It's hard to explain really. It has to do with mirrors."
-
Geoff looked down at the price card again and told Reise, it being cheaper than one would expect for the work.
((Again, dunno what to base the price off of. XD ))
-
(Sorry XP)
"I'll just buy it for 100 if you can't think of anything"
-
((No, Geoff has a price down, I mean OOC I don't know what it is.))
-
(100 sounds a little cheap. Maybe 200? Or 250? It's just a suggestion.)
-
(AHHHH im sorry! LOL I'm so stupid! XP )
Reise buys the thingy.
-
"Ok, nice to meet you Cecil." Talia felt way more relaxe.
-
"So Talia, how long have you lived in this city? I pretty much just got here."
-
"I was born and raised here, but I wish I could leave."
-
((I'm sorry I wasn't clear at first XD ))
"Th-thank you, sir," Geoffrey said with a grateful smile. He did a quick count of the coins, but he wasn't worried about it. Now he could rest easy for a little while, and his body went even more wobbly at the relief of it. He could finally get something to eat, though he had gone past the stage of it sounding appealing. But all of a sudden he remembered.
"Th-the execution thing..." he mumbled. "That's tonight isn't it?"
-
"An execution, who is it this time?" Talia asked having been to executions before.
-
"Why do you think they won't let us leave? Is there something here that they don't want us to tell people from other cities about?"
-
"Many people," Geoff replied to Talia. "Like... a thief, a murderer... I dunno who else. But it said everyone has to attend..."
"I-I think they don't let us leave 'cause they'd have no one to control."
-
"Yeah that has been my theory for a while, or they don't want us to see something."
-
Xander realised he was approaching Geoffrey's shop. He approached the door and stuck his head inside. He tossed his apple away and stepped inside as it landed with a thud outside the store.
-
"So we all have to watch this execution? What if we don't show up?"
-
"I don't know... hey your the guy from last night." Talia says seeing Xander.
-
Xander cocked his head and looked at Talia. "Erm... Hi there... You? Whoever you are?"
-
"You don't remember how I scared off that cop that was on you?" Talia said putting her hands on her hips.
-
"Hmm? I thought that it was a bear guy who tackled the co- Oh no wait you stood there with your guns. Thanks for that." Xander shurgged. "Nearly forgot."
-
"Yeah my guns scared him enough to make him leave, luckily I didn't have to fire a shot."
-
Xnader nods. "Very lucky indeed. So... What's going on in here?"
-
"...nothing." Talia says not saying anything about her powers.
-
"We were just talking about the execution. Do we have to go?"
-
"Almost absolutely certain we do. Bet they aren't even real criminals. Just people who are are of the "more capable" variety." Xander rolled his eyes.
-
Reise turns the corner looking at his new sculpture. He then looks up at Xanders. He walks up to him and whispers, "Your the murderer aren't you?"
-
Xander lets out a quiet sigh before whispering back. "No idea what you're talking about. Hey, aren't you that guy who assaulted a police officer?"
-

Blu Sat on the rail of a bridge with his fishing pole outstretched across the water, his bobber bounced as he kicked his feet. The line soon went taught, and he quickly brought up a decent sized fish "Good enough, it'll feed me tonight" he said, looking around before slipping the fish under his coat, the fish disappearing. He hopped down from his perch and started down the street.
-
(I'd PM her about the power)
-
"Anyway it was nice meeting you all but I shouldn't stay here. Pointing a gun at a cop while he is doing an arrest could have them want to execute me. If a cop walked in I could be dead." Talia leaves putting up her disguise back on and headed to her hideout.
(I'm off to bed, goodnight.)
-
He looks into Xanders eyes while smiling, He yells. "Why yes! Yes I did assault that police officer! And didn't you kill someone?"
-
Xander scowled, shaking his head at Reise. "You, my friend, are an asshole. Shout it louder, why don't you? Lead someone right to me. It'll be a real joy." He sighed. "And it was several someone's, not that it's any of your business."
-
Geoffrey paid little attention to the conversation, for he was in his own little world, grinning at the chatter of shuffling coins as he patted his gold pouch. No thieving necessary. The block could wait for him another day.
-
He began to laugh and patted his back, "It is okay my friend! I've killed many people before, more than I can count!"
-
Cecil was getting uncomfortable. All this talk of murder and execution was unsettling. He moved away from Reise and Xander. He walked over to Geoffrey. "Are you listening to those guys? They're talking about all of the people that they've killed. I don't like it, and I'm not going to the execution. I'd rather just hide."
-
"Mmh, I-I'd rather just go, to be honest," Geoffrey replied, "I mean, the poster said to just attend, n-not watch..."
-
"I guess I could go if you would come with me. We could not watch together."
-
Geoffrey nodded. "Y-yeah, we should probably head there now. We might be a little late..."
-
"Ok then, do you know where it is?"
-
"Yeah. Gone there a few times..."
After locking the shop, Geoffrey began heading out to the execution area. He actually didn't care about seeing the execution. He didn't like it, but he didn't hate it either. What bothered him more was the thought being "on stage" himself. As long as he stayed off the city's bad side, he won't have to be up their being ogled at as a bloody fountain.
-
Cecil followed Geoffrey. He began to wonder who was going to be killed and why. Was he a theif? A murderer? Or was he someone like himself? Is he being killed just because he was born different? Cecil didn't know what he would do if that was case. He just knew that he couldn't just stand there and watch someone like that be killed for no reason.
-
Blu was walking along the street when he noticed a poster for an execution, he stopped and took a few steps back to look at the poster. He spotted a bear and a mouse walking down the road, "Hey you two, know anything about this?" He said, holding out the poster and pointing at it.
-
"Yes, that's where we're heading. Apparently everyone has to attend, so you might as well follow us. What's your name?"
-
Xander walked out after Cecil and Geoffrey. He knew everyone most likely had to go and watch the spectacle. He followed behind the pair, keeping his distance from them to avoid them freaking out or something equally annoying and stupid.
-
(Good morning what happened in my sleep.)
-
(Basically we're all going to the execution. And Wolxikin joined the rp.)
-
(Ok)
Talia in disguise started to make her way to the execution site.
-
"The names Blu, nice to meet you I guess" he said starting off behind them
-
"Nice to meet you as well. My name is Cecil, and this is Geoffrey."
-
Geoffrey nodded. "N-nice to meet you."
He continued on to the execution.
-
(Oh dear a weekend of work and I miss this....) Mikey has shut off due to lack of fuel and sits on the sidewalk motionless and afarid of why he keep shutting down and awaken when someone with a uniform appears..
-
Ray stepped out of his bank, closing it for execution. He spotted a group, who seemed to be conversing, and approached them (Cecil, Geoffrey, and Blu). "Hello, friends! Beautiful day, huh?" The young raccoon was tense as a bowstring, obviously not accustomed to approaching others, but he needed to get his name out there, so that his bank could flourish.
-
"Hello!" Cecil said, this little group he was in was just getting bigger. Cecil liked that. "We're all heading over to the execution, everyone has to go. Why don't you join us? We don't bite!"
-
Geoffrey walked ahead of the group, starting to feel uncomfortable around the strangers gathering up. He wanted to get this execution thing over with, then get some decent food in him. Hopefully it will help him feel better emotionally as well.
-
"Actually I can't promise I won't bite" he said jokingly. Blu spotted Geoffrey and sped up to catch up to him. "The execution making you uncomfortable? Well I can't say it isn't making me the same."
-
"It's just not right. Killing someone in front of every resident of Woodlocke. What happened to courts and trials and lawyers? Does Woodlocke even have these things?"
-
Geoff ducked his head like a turtle hiding in its shell as he walked the rest of the way to the execution area in silence.
-
It was set up each furry surrounding the scene as vlad stood there high and mighty in his suit the leopard licking his maw looking down at every anthro.
Zaida on the other side as well staying in complete silent as she was in her uniform standing straight but head lowered.
A rhino standing in the back holding the leaver to hang the 'criminals' or what vlad had label criminals.
(Sorry I haven't been posting kind of hot lost in my own Rp but **censor** it)
-
Xander sped up a little and walked past Cecil and the group, mutterung to Cecil as he passed. "You clearly aren't very used to how things work around here." He made his way to the site of the execution and looked up at the 'criminals' and Vlad. He pondered how easily someone could kill him at this very moment, he seemed quite exposed.
-
A shiver went down the bear's spine as he stared at the prisoners. He wasn't sure if they really deserved this or not, but at least their end won't be as bloody as he was expecting. Part of him hoped that something would delay the deed and allow them time to escape their doom. But his other half knew only a more brutal death would come for them if that were the case.
-
Duernab snarls, as he takes up position near the "Stage". He looks out at the crowd, daring someone to try something stupid. Hanging... Duernab never liked this method. It seemed so ungainly. Yet clean. A good decapitation gave something to look at, a firing squad was at least loud, but a hanging? there was no style, it was not even a good death. He guessed that was the point. to reduce rallying caused by martyrs.
He looks over the crowd. None of that was his issue. He just did his job.
-
Cecil looks at the stage. He sees the mighty looking leapard and the sergal. "Who are those people?" He asked.
-
Ray stepped up beside Cecil, and spoke idly to himself. "I wonder if I left the door unlocked..?" He looked up at Cecil, and then spoke to him. "I think they're criminals, mister. Thieves, murderers. I'm sure they're criminals."
-
Blu silently split off as the group conversed. Heading down an alleyway he stepped into a hotel and went to the top floor, climbing the small ladder to the roof, he wanted a better vantage point. He could still see the group as he sat on the edge of the building
-
Ray sighed. "A regrettable scare tactic, but it works. Those in power know how to keep the populace complacent."
-
Xander spotted Duernab and stared up at him. He wondered why he specifically was there. Was he someone important? If so did that make him important to have someone like him after him? Or do the the police force like using unnecessary force that much?
He overheard Ray as he spoke and scoffed, muttering to Ray in response. "I can tell you most of those people are only criminals by a certain someone's standards. Their crime is being different from most others i ways that didn't even choose. Such a display would make a fitting end for the guy who decided this should be their fate." He paused. "But what concern is that of us, were just ordinary citizens, who want to be left alone. Right?" He didn't take his eyes off of Duernab as he spoke.
-
"It doesn't make me scared." Cecil said to Ray, "It makes me furious. This needs to stop, it just has to."
-
"Thank you all for coming~" with a smile showing his teeth, Vlad spoke in a booming voice although it was if he didn't even try. "Now, as you see these four men here"
The black feline gestured to the four anthros with ropes around their necks, all of them looking beaten. "saber for murdering my guards, ferret for stealing food, crow for snooping in kingdom grounds, and lastly an otter for disobeying rules and attempt in escape." The jaguar had said a with a slight hiss. Zaida staying in complete silent as she watched by her step father's side.
-
Xander glared up at Vlad as he spoke, if there was one more asshole he'd kill, it'd be him, he'd do it almost happily, much more happily than anyone else he had to kill. He then glanced at Duernab, oh and him, make that, two assholes he'd kill. He was a little surprised he was able to just hide in plain sight here, then again this was an event everyone was meant to come to, he was most likely lost in the crowd from their perspective.
-
Cecil saw the "criminals" they all had an emotionless look on their faces, exept for the ferret. He looked young, his face was that of complete shock. Cecil couldn't take this for much longer. He was so angry at the leopard and the sergal both. He was about to snap. He raised his hand up high over his head, he had a question.
-
Xander snapped his hand out and firmly grabbed Cecil's wrist, forcing his arm down before saying very clearly. "Look, I get you might be tired but stretching right now is not the best of ideas." He spoke slowly, through gritted teeth. He was hoping that Cecil would take the hint.
-
Cecil glanced a Xander sternly and whispered. "Do not realize how wrong this is! Four people are about to be killed for no reason! and your just going to stand and watch!"
-
Vlad turn to Zaida with a whisper "want to say anything dear?" She shook her head "I rather not..." she replied in a quiet time almost mouthing the words to him.
"Alright, First slade!" He roared the saber had no expression staring at the clouds taking a deep breath from his nose then the rhino had pulled the leaver. "Jackson!" The ferret closed his eyes his body tense as he shook, the switch was pulled for him as well and he went limp. "And Edgar!" The crow stared around at people his eyes showing fear before he was gone as well. "Lastly Robert..." the otter squirmed frantically although the ropes were obviously impossible to escape from, before it was pulled. Those four all alive just seconds ago hung there. the crowd watching in silent and fear.
-
Cecil didn't even see the people be executed, it was as if he blinked and everyone was already dead. It was too late. He stood frozen where he was, he couldn't believe his eyes. This city was ran by monsters.
-
Duernab smiles slightly as a ripple of fear, disgust, and in a few, acceptance, passes through the crowd. Maybe this was worth the hassle after all...
-
Xander nodded. "I know exactly what is going to happen and I prize my head. I'd rather not lose it doing something dumb. You should consider that t-" He stopped talking as the first person was executed. His grip on Cecil's wrist tighten as each on died. He wasn't even aware he was doing it. A scowl had spread across his face.
-
He looked at Zaida and the rhino "Zaida, drake clean up the bodies. I have work to do" he began to walk two guards by his side although he didn't need them.
People began to break away from the scene going back to what they were doing, Scarred.
-
Geoffrey barely blinked as he watched the prisoners drop, but cringed at the ferret's turn.
Jackson. He swore he met the poor kid before, but he was too far away to be sure.
He couldn't take his mind off him now, and his eyes drifted to the ground.
-
Duernab stays near the stage. People had a habit of trying to get a closer look at things like this, and he is there to push them away. Mourners, friends, curious kids, It does not matter who you are. Until the mess is cleared, people would stay away. He pulls out his shock baton, as he patrols round the "stage".
-
Xander let go of Cecil wrist, having noticed how tightly he was gripping it. It had left a bit of a red mark on the skin under the fur, not too noticeable but definitely there. "Sorry about that... I hate it as much as you do." He then spat on the floor and went to walk away before he drew any attention.
-
Cecil did not say anything else to Xander, he didn't move at all. He stayed there, even as the crowd began to disintegrate, he stayed there. He wasn't afraid of death, because stopping this injustice was something worth dying for.
-
Xander stopped and looked over his shoulder at Cecil, waiting to see if he'd try to do something foolish. He was fully aware that every passing moment made it more risky to stick around as the crowd thinned out more and more.
-
Geoff remained where he stood, his eyes on the floor as they began to water. He shut them tight for a moment before before turning and stomping past Xander.
-
Duernab pushes away a small group of otters, they wanted to see a corpse for some reason, but Duernab would have nothing of it. the group were dragged off by a set of guards, hopefully without incident, for their sake. Not that Duernab cared.
looking up, and back out at the crowd, Duernab noticed something odd. A mouse ((Cecil)). standing there with its arm slightly raised, like a schoolkid. he smirks, and watches him, considering sending a guard over to remove him, a broken mind like this one would probably be fun to watch as its dragged from the area. Duernab smirks at the thought.
-
Drake picked up the saber, otter, crow, and ferret stomping off pushing, and threatening anthros out of his way.
The Serynx jumped of the stage wiping her shoe off from previous executions that were far more worse than being hung. A horrible migraine as she walked off anthro's keeping their distance as if she were some monster.
-
Cecil met the gaurds gaze. He looked him straight in the eyes and stared fiercely. He knew that he would be asked to move, but he didn't care, he wanted to make a point.
-
Blu cringed each time the floor dropped out from under the "criminals". He noticed Cecil try to raise his hand but be stooped by some stranger. He went back down to rejoin Cecil, only to find out he was having a staredown with a guard
-
Duernab grins. He moves menacingly towards Cecil. A couple of other civilians and gaurds pause to watch. Duernab grins, and looks at the mouse,spinning the baton in his hand. "Do you have somthing you want to say. Mouse?" Duernab asked. "Because I think its about time you moved along." Duernab comes to a stop a meter away from Cecil, baton at the ready
-
Blu say the anthro move towards Cecil, he casually put his hood on and leaned against a building, waiting to see what happened
-
Xander recognised Duernab's voice and kept his back to him and Cecil. He was already pushing his luck being so close. He put one hand on his holstered flintlock pistol, the other was ready to whip outwards and grab Cecil. He was not about to let that smug son of a bitch get any sort of satisfaction so easily.
-
"I just have a question," Cecil said, still keeping his gaze on the gaurd. "Will the bodies be buried?"
-
Duernab pauses, amused and surprised. "No." he states. "I believe they will be burnt, and the ashes scattered."
The tiger did not know for sure, but it was a safe bet they were not going to a normal graveyard.
-
"I see, ok then." Then Cecil walked away, his question answered. At least they wouldn't get thrown in some ditch. That made things better, but not by much. Cecil had made a vow: that this execution, would be the last. He continued on, catching up with Xander and the others.
-
Geoff had ducked behind a nearby building. He was too focused on the thoughts in his head. The poor kid. The poor people. The jerk-off high-and-mighty authority. Something in him seemed to snap. He was no longer depressed, but angry.
Now with the execution over, he was free to get food, but he wasn't going to lose a single coin. No, he was stealing his dinner tonight. Just to spite them.
-
Duernab watches Cecil leave, slightly disappointed. He had wanted a fi~
Wolf. White fur. Injured arm. clothes matched to.
Duernab looks over his shoulder a couple of quick hand gestures, and most if the guards in the square had their eyes on Xander, Duernab stays where he is, watching Cecil and Xander as they move away, deciding if to give chase now, or to follow them.
-
Geoff peeked around to see the guards facing the two... and that tiger. They were planning something, weren't they?
-
Blu still stood there watching, waiting, till something happened. He looked up and saw the guard with his eyes on the wolf from before. He started off towards Cecil. "You almost got yourself in some trouble, oh, and I think the guards might have noticed your friend" he said, nodding towards the wolf.
-
Xander was a few steps behind Cecil, he knew he had **censor** up. He stayed around too long, risked his own safety to make sure one guy didn't do something he shouldn't. He still had one hand on his flintlock and the other was on his stun baton. He couldn't help but smile at the stupidity of his own mistake.
-
Duernab moved to follow the group, a couple of Gaurds vanished from the square, spreading out to try to move parallel to the group. Duernab knew they knew. but he wanted to make them panic. then he could pick them off one by one.
-
"Lovely. Just lovely. I get summoned to see an execution and now I'm being chased by the 'law'. Lovely day today." He chuckled, turning to walk backwards as he watched the cat walk after them
-
Xander's hand left his baton for a moment as he slowly and discreetly loaded a round into his flintlock. He kept walking as he did. He decided not to say anything to the others, they could end up up being useful. He made a note that if he survived this he should get more flintlocks and find a way to carry several on his person, the things are a pain to load.
-
Duernab grins at blu. they had gone far enough. He speeds up, and shouts to them. "You know you can't get away. Xander" he points his baton at him. "Multiple counts of murder. Of course the rest of you are his accomplices. Unless you hand him over." duernab's grin spreads wider. "If you hand him over, I will forget I saw the rest of you... otherwise, me and my friends will take the whole lot of you in."
Gaurds appeared from the far side of the street they were in. blocking the way.
-
Xander had loaded his flintlock, now holding it by his side in one hand, his baton in the other. He looked around and saw a couple of shops, their windows might be easy enough to break, They may even have back door exits if he's lucky. He saw a potential way out of this. He just had to not mess this up. "Guess I'm screw huh? Good job, big guy."
-
((Grovy has told me to hurry up its late for him))
Duernab beams a Xander, as if proud. "Can't escape this time. How about ya come quietly. prehaps you will get away in better shape than... well... Jackson?"
-
"I don't think so. That's my friend, if you want him you're going to have to deal with me too. You heartless monster."
-
"I believe we have discussed this before and my answer is still very much the same. You need to learn some new conversation topics." Xander turned around to face Duernab, as he did his flintlock and stun baton cane into view, no longer obscured by his trench coat.
(sorry but I have to hit the hay, this will have to be on hold till tomorrow, probably after school. Sorry >.<)
-
Duernabnpulls the shockrifle off his back as Xander reveals his gun. "Glad to hear." he snarls. now finally getting his wish. A proper fight.
-
Xander glared at Duernab and slowly raised his flintlock, pointing it right at Duernab. "You shoot me and you end up shot. This isn't exactly a shock weapon, it'll probably kill you. So that's probably not worth the risk." He glanced at one of the shops again. He had to wait a little.
-
Duernab looks at the gun. "Worth the risk" Duernab jumps to the side, fires, then rolls to the side. Hoping the sudden movement would cause Xander's shot to miss.
The two gaurds at the far end of the street draw their batons, and move to attack the other 2, Cecil and Blu.
-
(Ummm i think it's safe to say that I can no longer post in this and keep up. :| )
-
Xander wasn't even planning to fire, his bluff not going exactly the way he wanted it to. The shot hit him and he gritted his teeth and let out a slight grunt as the shock was administered to his chest. Usually those shots had enough volts to at least make a man drop his weapons and at the most completely immobilize him in a single shot. It was times like this he was thankful for his little gift. "Ya know, that was rude." He shook his head and started to take some steps towards Duernab, flintlock still raised. "Don't make me shoot you, tough guy. Just let us go."
(>.< sorry, we post too fast?)
-
(No I just don't have time....*sigh* Well ummm wait....I got it...What if I just leand Mikey to someone so he's not useless.)
-
((Alright, so Zaida accepted me using this sheet:
Name: Kromas Ndorai, most often known as Solus
Age:19
Species:Wolfsky
Power: Smoke production from the hands.
Height:1.75m
Weight:124lbs
Clothing/armor: Kro wears a long coat over the top of his (albeit quite threadbare) suit, and a mask that covers the lower portion of his face. He also wears a pair of gloves, so his hands are covered in case he was to think about using his 'gift', as he actively tries to avoid using it.
Weapons:A quite rusty, bloodied sickle with makeshift carvings in the blade, and a count etched into the wooden handle.
Appearance: Kro has mainly black fur, with red detail and highlighting in paces.
Personality:Kro has tendencies to keep himself to himself when he can, trying to stay away from much unneeded interaction. However, when confronted, and not able to abscond, he will attack in a ferocious form combining freeform bladesmanship with low kicks and jabs. This, however, is only a measure to alllow himself time to escape. He often tries to form some kind of business partnership with others he thought to be helpful allies. This is strictly business, as he has no time for relationships.
Occupation: Pickpocket/Hired Hunter.
Backstory: Kro covered up the details of his past when he arrived in woodlocke. Probably for the best.
I will keep of out of current events.))
Kro walked along the alley. His sickle scratched a line into the loose mortar, dropping yellowing dust to the ground. Grunting as he stepped into the daylight, he took in the vista. A wicked smile crossed his face. Now all he needed was work, and by the looks, it wouldn't be hard to find here. As long as he kept his face in the shadows, and the authorities in the dark, he would fit in just fine.
-
Zaida watching from afar gave a gruff with frustration as she had helped burning the bodies brushing ash off her hands, starting her way over to the scene "what the hell is this..." She grumbled to herself eyes narrowed and ears laid back. Her hands folded behind her back growing closer to the fight studying what was happening.
-
"What did I ever do to deserve this?" Blu sighed sarcastically, drawing the broadsword off his back.
-
Cecil saw the gaurd coming at him, and he was ready to fight. He put one hand behind his back to conceal it and produced a diamond shaped shard of reflective glass out of thin air.
-
Duernab blinks, "How the hell did you~" He blurts out. He must have missed. He fires two more bolts into Xander, while dashing to the side, hoping to dodge Xander's flintlock shot.
~~~
The first guard dives forward and swings at Blu, trying to hit him before he has his sword ready.
The second guard thinks Cecil is an easy target, the guard strides confidently towards the mouse, expecting him to bolt any moment.
-
Cecil took a a slow step forward, then rushed the gaurd. Wielding the glass shard like a dagger, he made a swift slash at the gaurd, aiming for the neck.
-
Blu quickly jumped to the side and lifted the sword over his head, brining it down, aiming for~ Well wherever it ended up
-
Xander was stopped in his tracks by both shots, the shock causing his body to tense up for a few moments. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest, he may be able to take the shocks but his body sure as hell wasn't a fan. He was still yet to fire, keeping his aim on Duernab. "Alright, that hurt. Let's stop the game now alright." He fire just in front of Duernab as he dashed.
-
Duernab yelps, the ball bearing from the flintlock hits his chest, he effectively runs into it. Only a glancing blow though. Another scar for the tigers collection, he fires again, but it goes wide, the gun was over heating, but Duernab risked it, firing another shot...
He yelps as the gun misfires, and burns his paws. He lowers the lump of metal. It was useless now. "Guess its onto round 2" he says. looking right at Xander, the flintlock now empty gun.
~~~
The first gaurd yells out as the sword buries itself in his left leg.
~~~
The second Guard puts an arm out, trying to elbow Cecil in the face. the arm does not connect, but it does just about block the blade in a sense... Swearing, the guard staggers back. he had dropped the baton and is now nursing his arm.
-
Xander holstered his flintlock, he wouldn't have enough time to reload it in a close up fight. He still had his tun baton in his other hand, he switched it to his right hand. If he was gonna use it, he'd rather use it in his dominant hand. "Wow. Those things are sort of useless after a few shots huh? You sure you wouldn't rather give up? I'm given you more than enough chances."
-
Blu quickly tried to pull back the sword, well as 'quick' as a heavy broadsword can go. He took a few steps back, sword in hand, and charge at the guard aiming to pierce his midriff
-
Cecil had missed his target, but had dealt a decent amount of damage. Seconds after his first attack he aimed a swift kick to the gaurd's head.
-
Acon walked around the city, for the first time in months. She'd been lost in her studies... Literally and hadn't gotten in contact with a single soul. With the exception of a guard that visited regularly.
-
Duernab drew his baton. By the looks of this this would be 3 on one.
He liked those odds. Duernab Charges at Xander
~~~
The first Guard is skewered. barely yelling as the sword goes through him.
The second guard gets a swift kick to the head. And falls
-
Xander remained in place as Duernab charged, doing his best to stay completely relaxed. He dodged to the side at the last moment and swung his baton right for Duernab's elbow, hoping that it would hit true to his aim and have the desired effect.
-
With the gaurd down, Cecil picked up the baton, claiming it. He headed in the direction of Xander and Duernab.
-
((What... Is going on. @-@))
-
(Duernab = Pretty much the villain right now, is about it)
-
((Xander, (Grovy grunge) me, and Blu (Wolxikin) are fighting Duernab (Angder.) That's what's happening now, if you want to know what's already happened, you should talk to Zaida.))
-
((Duernab, a policeman (also a complete prick) Has hunted down a murderer (Xander) and is trying to bring him to 'Justice' Unfortunately Duernab is a villain, so his idea of 'Justice' is beating the crap out of Xander, and anyone in the nearby area. I am Duernab))
((Going to wait on Blu before posting))
((Edit: Redundant post is redundant))
-
((Sounds like my kind of justice. See a beached whale? Beat it until it submits. @-@))
-
((Will continue, as wolx has had plenty of time.))
Duernab was too quick, leaping back, the baton misses, "Too slow! saw it coming" Duernab says with a grin. Duernab takes another swing now he is already in up close, this time aiming to hit Xander in the head.
-
While Cecil was running at Duernab, he produced another shard of glass and threw it at Duernab, it flew fast and as straight as an arrow.
-
Xander quickly raised his own baton, causing the two to clash against each other. He had no idea what that'd actually do besides keep him from taking a blow to the head.
-
Duernab swears, the dagger flies right past him as he shifts slightly to the side to dodge it, the dodge causes Xander's baton to slide down onto Duernabs fingers. He yelps loudly as he drops his baton, and claws Xander's stomach with his other paw. He could tell Xander was not in the best of shape.
-
Xander stumbled back as Duernab clawed his stomach. He winced a little, a stinging pain in his belly where he was clawed. He looked down quickly, it wasn't deep, just annoying, stinging, throbbing pain. Great.
-
While everyone was distracted by the battle, Geoffrey decided to take the chance to steal some food.
-
Cecil was closing in now. He jumped at Duernab, and swung the baton downward in a vertical slash.
-
Duernab grins and takes a step towards Xander, he notices Cecil coming and tries to kick the mouse in the stomach. The baton however hit him in the head, hard. He yells and stumbles back, his vision was blurry from the electricity. He shakes his head, trying to clear his vision. "BASTARDS" he yells.
-
Xander grinned and charged towards Duernab, bringing his arm back as he did. As he got close to Duernab he sent his fist flying forwards, aiming right for Duernab's face. If this hit, it was going to hurt.
(hitting the hay, night.)
-
Kro arrived at the location if the fight, but decided to watch from a nearby alleyway. This was interesting, and the weapons they were using seemed q fair bit more advanced that what he had himself been used to. Continuing to watch, he put up his mask, just in case.
-
(Oh! Sorry for making you wait Ang! I left without saying anything, my bad. When I was finally about to log in turns out the forums were down)
Blu pulled the sword out of the guard's chest and made his way over to Duernab and the others "Oh this will never do!" He said sarcastically, looking at his broadsword. He sheathed it and appeared to materialize a smaller sword from inside his coat. "Ahh, much better" He chuckled to himself. Ble charged at Duernab, making a sllice aiming for his side
-
Duernab is punched firmly in the head, and then only just dodges the sword, staggering backwards. Hissing.
He looks across the 3, His face bloody. "This is not the end." Duernab starts to back away. lifting up his gun by the barrel, obviously prepared to use it as a club. He keeps moving back. He knew he was now outmatched.
-
"You might as well just give up. You're outmatched. You can make this easier on yourself."
-
Xander gently shook his fist. "Ow, that hurt. What is your face made of? Lead?"
-
Duernab looks at the 3 of them. Giving up and surrendering would be a death sentence. If not from them, then from the rest of the watch. No. He had to flee. Behind him was one of the shops. he swings his gun into the window.smashing it, and then retreats inside, "This is not the end Xander. Make sure you know that. Prehaps if this had been one on one things would be different." Duernab spits at him, then turns and flees through the shop, heading for the back door.
-
Geoffrey was on his way to safety, carrying a bag full of stolen pears. The job made him feel stupidly happy, and he had to try hard not to giggle as he scurried down the alley to his workshop.
-
Cecil watched the policeman flee. He walked over to Xander. "Are you okay? That's was pretty rough." He said.
-
Xander shrugged, his heart felt like it was gonna beat right out of chest. "I'm fine. It's alright."
-
Kro turned, and walked back down the alley. If most fights were like that. It should be somewhat interesting here. As he passed a bakery, he took a small roll from the stall out front, and put it into his pocket in one swift motion. With new speed, he continued away, into the back alleys and pathways.
-
Geoffrey unlocked the workshop door and went inside, giving the area a check before locking it down again and huddling in the corner of his room. He chuckled in victory as he grabbed a pear and took a bite.
-
"Who was that guy?" Cecil asked Xander, "and why is he after you?"
-
"Just a cop, trust me he isn't after me for the right reasons. That's all you need to know. Thanks for the helping hand by the way, I guess." Xander took a deep breath, trying to calm himself and slow his heart rate. Electrical shocks suck...
-
"You're welcome, if he shows up again just call me. We'll take care of him together. Let's get out of here and find somewhere to rest."
-
"Well that was interesting" Blu said, watching Duernab flee. He turned to face Cecil and Xander "If you want you can stay at my shop to rest, there should be enough room"
-
Ray, after the executions went south, fled quickly. He ran back to his home, built above the bank, and was satisfied to see the bank was locked up tight. Ray stepped into his home via the steps up the side, and settled in bed. After a few moments, Ray realized that there was now a criminal on the loose. "I-I should get m-more ammunition for my gun."
-
Xander shrugged and started to walk off. "I know where I'm headed. I'm sure you can guess." He had started heading for Geoff's shop, may as well go back there for a small amount of time.
-
It took a while but Cecil realized that Xander was heading to Geoffrey's shop. He trailed behind him. After all, he had no where else to go.
-
Only thought for a second, he could go back to his shop and continue hammering all day, or follow Xander and Cecil and do something interesting for once. He followed date Cecil
-
Duernab holds his nose as he walks, wincing. Xander had taken several bolts to the chest, and failing to aprehend an unarmed civilian was not going to look good on a report... well, there were 3 of them... and one had a sword.
Duernab pauses. Thinking the events through. His eyes narrow, and he grins. He knows EXACTLY what angle to take with his report. Xander was not a normal person. No normal person could have taken so many shocks...
Duernab had found oone of THEM. No wonder he had trouble...
He hurries back to the station, his arrogance now returning to him.
-
Geoffrey purred as he began eating another pear.
-
Xander kept walking until he reached Geoff's shop then poked his head in and knocked loudly on the door. "Hey, bear guy, Geoff, ya home?"
-
Geoff jolted up and hopped over to the door to let Xander in. "You alright? No guards on your tail?"
-
"Not anymore at least, but we might need to lay low for a while. Do you mind if we just stay here for a bit?"
-
"Uh, I suppose it's fine," Geoff replied. "As long as we don't get caught too soon. Wanna figure out how to pack my stuff... Want some pears?"
-
"Sure! I'm starving!" Cecil said, he couldn't even remember the last time he ate anything.
-
"Hello um, Geoff" Blu said, standing in the doorway "So hey, wolf man, mind telling me why we were attacked by city guards?"
-
Ray wandered the city streets, kicking an empty can down the street. He had a rather large amount of gold on him, roughly one-thousand, and planned on buying some sort of guardian robot, or something along those lines. He whistled quietly, the coins jingling as he walked.
-
Xander stepped into Geoff's shop and stretched. His back clicking loudly, his body felt tired and he could still feel his heart pounding a little faster then usual. He was going to need to rest for a bit. "Huh? Why exactly? Well that's honestly none of your business. Maybe it's for the best if we never speak of it ever again and continue on with our lives, huh?"
-
((Idk wut happened to my post x_x ))
"You could not tell me, but I bet the guards would sure like to know you're staying here, and you can continue your life in prison or the chopping block, your choice. Nice shop by the way bear man"
-
Ray, as he passed Geoff's shop, heard someone say 'business', and got curious. Perhaps he could get in on the deal? Ray smiled, and knocked politely. "H-Hello?"
-
"Whatever." Xander flopped onto a pile of clothes on the floor, which he vaguely recalled Geoff sleeping on at some point. He relaxed and sighed in relief.
-
Geoffrey peeked into the peephole lens at the raccoon. It was a bit late for customers, but since the bear wasn't going to sleep for a while, he might as well let him in--if he's not secretly part of the guard, that is. But denying service would only make things worse for himself, wouldn't it?
He opened the door. "Good evening, sir."
-
Ray smiled, and offered a paw. "Good morning, sir! I happened to be in the neighborhood, and overheard you talking about business." He smiled wider. "My name is Rayleonarde Blackburn. I own the bank a little while down the road, and was wondering if...perhaps...you would bank with me? Partners get great interest." Ray knew he was being over-nice and very strange, but it was better than stuttering and stumbling through his sentences.
-
Geoffrey shrugged slightly. His money felt safest in his own hands than others, but being stolen from by rascals and fellow homeless wasn't new to him. "Eh, I'm no--err, how safe is it?"
-
Ray smiled. "The building was built around the vault, which was built from a decommissioned war-ship. Self-locking, and tucked in the back, no one gets in without my knowledge." He knew he was slightly overselling it, but better to oversell then undersell.
-
Geoffrey liked the idea, but at the same time he was worried setting this up will make things worse for him somehow.
Pushing that aside as he usual paranoia, he replied with a smile, "Hm... I suppose I'll make an account."
-
Ray blinked, and smiled. "T-Thank you! S-So, h-how much should I put you down for? There's a 50 gold minimum."
-
"Hmm..." Geoffrey tapped his finger on his coin pouch as he tried to remember how much it had right now. 250, if he remembered correctly. Would it be worth putting a fifth or more in?
"...I could do 50, maybe more..."
Or he could store half in the bank, that way if something were to happen to him or the bank, he wouldn't be completely screwed over.
"uh... maybe 100, 125."
-
Ray nodded, and pulled a piece of parchment from his coat. "What was your name?"
-
"Geoffrey... uh..." Geoffrey shifted uncomfortably. "I uh... I dunno if it's okay, but I prefer not to use my family name, I kinda, uh... I'd rather stay detached from them... I-I go by Geoffrey Noah."
-
Ray nodded, and began to write. "Noah, Geoffrey. Account of one-hundred twenty five, yes?"
-
Geoffrey nodded. "Yes, thank you. But uh, is there a fee or anything?"
-
Ray shook his head. "Only that you trust me. And the money you wish to deposit."
-
Geoff smiled. "Alright."
-
Ray nodded. "Now, we can either walk down to the bank, and you can deposit your money. Or I can take it down there myself." He smiled.
-
"I'd like to do it," Geoffrey replied. He began heading to the bank. He already knew where it was, like he did with nearly every place in the city.
-
Ray followed Geoffrey, smiling.
-
Xander had fallen asleep on the pile of clothes during Ray and Geoff's conversation.
-
Kro wandered the streets, looking for something to do. His mask covered his somewhat saddened frown, for this venture to Woodlocke had yet to bear any fruit. But, all would come in time, he guessed.
-
((Zaida said I can bring a new character in. ^_^ Duernabs a bit one note, so I am going to leave him for now))
Deeper inside the city, a strange figure moves slowly and silently, large robe around him, he glares at a pair of policemen, 2 hateful eyes staring out of his mask. He then looks down hastily, It was time to show the world... show this city...
He glances around the square, Money, he needed money. This campaign would not work without it... He would gain support when he started to act. People were predictable enough.
-
Kro walked through the streets, the path clearing for him. Intimidation is a powerful tool. He arrive just outside a bank, and waited around across the street. Analysis of inflow and outflow would probably be a valuable asset, if he were ever to... Need a bit of money.
-
Geoffrey arrived at the bank and glanced at the wolfsky before heading inside.
-
The figure arrives near a bank... It was an elegant building... By this cites standards anyway. He watches the bear enter... Hopefully this was a successful bank... not the biggest though, robbing the biggest bank was just a plain bad idea. The smaller ones... enough money for what he needs, but not too well defended. He stands out side, watching the bank. Plotting.
-
Xander stretched and groaned as he felt his back click. "Yup. Sleeping on the floor will definitely do that to you." He sat up then slowly rose to his feet. He decided to go for a walk, he was bored and maybe something interesting would happen. Maybe he'd see that cop again. He'd certainly try to kill him this time if he did. He noticed Geoffrey entering the bank, deciding not to enter. Not like he had money anyway.
-
Cecil had been in the kitchen area in the shop's living space, helping himself to Geoffrey's pears. They tasted delicious, Cecil ate until he was full. There were still plenty left so he didn't feel too guilty about stuffing himself. He walked around the shop and noticed that he was alone. "Hello?" He called out.... no response.... He thought that he should leave too, it's rude to be in someone's house while they're gone. However, Cecil was tired now, he wanted to take a nice long nap. "Oh what the heck, i'm sure Geoff won't mind," he said to himself. He headed over to the bedroom.
-
Ray followed Geoffrey inside, and opened the rear-gate to the vault. "Right this way, sir."
-
The figure in the mask looks around briefly, then enters the bank. Slowly. His mask is in a better light now, it was like a human face made of brass, the eyes are small, but seem to bulge outwards. It is a strange sight. The way he moves is wrong to, it is like his legs are stretched. they hit the front of his robe before they stop being visible from the back. equally, no shoes or paws are visible below the robe. Finally, both of his hands are gloved, and are most definitely not natural. n engineer would have no trouble identifying them as artificial, robotic.
He glances around for where the counter is, and moves up to it.
-
Xander watched the strange looking person enter the bank. He wasn't sure why they seemed to stick out a little but they definitely had something off about them. He stayed outside, looking around. His interest piqued slightly.
-
Kro continued watching the bank. He made sure his mask was in place, hiding his smile. This situation seemed out of place, and that could mean one of two things. Hoping for the first, he watched the masked figure, guessing at what he would do.
-
Geoffrey walked through the gate to the vault. Maybe this was a good idea after all.
-
Ray turned to the figure at the desk, and spoke, stepping up to the desk slowly. "H-Hello. W-What can I help you with?" He was obviously perturbed, unsettled by the figure's mask.
-
The figure looks at Ray. "So... this is a bank... Tell me... Is it successful?"
-
Xander was standing across the street from the bank, watching it from across the street. He occasionally glanced in the direction of Kro. He felt like something was about to happen at some point.
-
Kro walked forward, and into the entryway of the bank. He removed one of his gloves, shoving it into his pocket. With the other hand, he reached inside his coat. If anything happened, he was ready.
-
Ray nodded. "V-Very sir. I-I can promise your deposit will i-increase f-faster than you...can...uh...um...w-well, i-it's v-very substantial."
-
"Hmm. It is an interesting society you lead here you know." The figure states. "Its like watching a horse run into a brick wall." the figure seems to move forward slightly. "Hilarious at first, then tragic, and then... well... then someone like me has to clean up the mess left behind."
"That's the real reason I am here... To clean. To replace this with something... Better?"
At the back of the building, 2 more masked figures watch, waiting for their signal.
-
Xander watched Kro enter the bank. He thought about remaining outside. He stretched as he thought, his arms clicking loudly as he did. "Seems quite a few interesting characters need to make a deposit today..." He pushed off the wall he was leaning on and made his way towards the bank.
-
The figure seems to drop slightly, as if flattening, in a few seconds, what was a tall cloaked figure became an eight legged monstrosity, a spider, Feral, and gigantic.
"Now... I assume I have everyone's attention." The spiders front legs, which had pretended to be arms mere second ago, lunge at Ray, the mechanical hands on them trying to grab Rays arms. the other 6 legs have nothing on them, but bend, preparing to jump.
At the back, the masked figures, far more ordinary furs, Kick down the back door, the real robbers were here to do their job, while the spider kept people busy.
-
Ray yelped and flailed, as the mechanical hands gripped his arms. "H-Hey! W-What's going on?! Help! G-Guards!"
-
Geoffrey was rushing over after hearing the commotion, then stepped back as the figures approached.
-
Under his mask, Kro smiled.
He threw a hand up in the air, forming a swirling ball of smoke, and pulled out his sickle in the other.
"Alright, don't go trying to be a hero, alright? Anyone who tries to interfere with this robbery is gonna get a face full of smoke and throat full of rust!"
-
Ray yelped, and closed his eyes. "W-Whatever you're gonna do, j-just don't hurt me!" He tried to scrunch himself up as best as possible, and tried to ditch his pistols. He'd do whatever he could to keep this heist non-violent.
-
The spider grins, lifting Ray off the floor, He starts to walk backwards up the wall. "Everyone. My name is Octavius Tactium. This City has oppressed. People have been killed for the crime of being born. Today that ends. Powered people will take their rightful place in society. Or we will die trying." Octavain starts climbing the wall properly. "I recommend you stop struggling" He says, quietly. "It would be easy to drop you." He says to Ray.
In the back, the real Theives spot Geoff. "Listen. This hear is a robbery." They pull out their shock batons. "Let us do this quietly, and nobody gets hurt... Get on the ground, and just ignore everything. Got it?"
-
Ray froze, and immediately stopped moving. He feared to even breathe, as the spider could easily drop him headfirst to the porcelain tiles below.
-
"N-No-L-Look, guys, p-please," Geoffrey stammered, "please, i-if anything, please don't take my money in there, I'm poor enough as it is!"
He doubted it would work, but it was worth a shot. It was clearly true, anyway.
-
Kro stood just inside the entrance, making sure no one went in or out. This impromptu event was fun, and that was quite a statement from himself. His wicked grin cackled behind his mask.
-
Xander stared at the spider monstrosity on the ceiling to the furs in mask actually performing the robbery then to Kro with his sickle and his smoke. He cocked his head slightly and tapped his chin in thought. Now, I could get behind what this freak of nature is saying. I really could. However...This seems senseless. It's just a bank, sure it'll hurt the economy a little and get them a lot of attention, but I'd say that's not exactly the way to do this. Maybe I'm stuck in the grunt's way of thinking after all this time but... **censor** this noise. He sighed as he slowly drew his flintlock pistol and stub baton, aiming the pistol straight up at the ceiling and firing, the shot ringing through out the room.
-
Octavain bolts, holding Ray below him as a shield as he smashes out a high window, and crawls for the roof.
In the back, one of the thugs pushes Geoff against the wall, and holds them there, forcefully, but not actually harmfully.
The other headed for the vault. Confident of their skills getting them into it.
-
Kro spun on the spot, holding his sickle towards the weilder of the gun. A flintlock, specifically. He kept the smoke on the other hand.
"You do know you're gonna be making a mistake of you try to stop this, right? Trust me, you'll be having a very bad time."
-
Geoffrey tried to remain calm. "I-If I may ask, what is this for?"
-
Xander smiled at Kro. "And you realise that this plan of theirs isn't the best as far as I'm aware. Just a pointless little publicity stunt. What am I going to stop exactly?"
-
The thug grins. "Money. Power. And in my case getting payed. She though?" he gestures at the other thug. "She is special."
Sure enough, the other thug reaches the Vault... and somehow walks straight in. Through the crack between the door and the metal wall. Her body liquefying. letting her enter the vault.
-
Geoffrey watched with awe as the thug liquefied.
"I'm pretty sure I heard... s-something about rising up against the city?" Geoffrey said. "I'm willing to help."

-
Rhosyn steps into the door (if this is possible at this point) and comes into the bank of the ensuing robbery.
"OYE! What d'you lot think ya' doin?" she shouted, seeing the commotion, reaching for the shotgun in her hip holster and raising it. She had just come to deposit her earnings from her last adventure and, what, it's being robbed? Figures.
-
Kro turned to see the shotgun toting guy come in. Another problem. He instead grabbed a fleeing patron of the band, using them as a shield, and bringing the sickle close to his throat. The patron screamed, terrified by the smoke creeping over him.
"We wouldn't want any... Mistakes here, would we? Cuz I'm feeling a bit ... Clumsy, heh."
-
Octavain was already heading for the roof. His ally inside was going to have to fend for himself. If he survived, he would be a welcome addition to his group.
~~~
The powered fox opens the vault from the inside, carrying a sack of gold. "Got it." The Other thug nods. "This one wants to join your freakshow." The thug holding geoff responds. "Wants to rise up with you or something." The women blinks, she was actually a fox under the creepy mask. "Drag him with us then. We need to leave. NOW."
((I'm slightly worried I am going too far without Ray. So this is going to be my last post for now.))
-
((BTW my character is female))
"Does yer mother still love her kid that holds blades up to innocent's throats? I dunn' think so. Anyways, if ye meant te kill anyone, ye would have done it already. Let the fella go." she glared at the smoggy assailant, positioning herself for a fight if necessary.
"Look I came to do business here. Ye punks are takin' these people's hard earned cash and well bein' for, what, a cause ye believe to be right? C'mon mate. Drop the fella."
-
Cecil awoke from his lengthy nap. He wandered around the shop and realized that everyone was still gone. "Where are they?" He asked out loud. He lookwd out the window of the shop and saw some sort of commotion nearby. "What the?" He said and rushed outside. The building in question looked like a bank. He barged through the door "what's going on in here!?"
-
Xander hummed to himself as he reloaded his flintlock. He seriously needed something just a little bit better, or maybe just more, more is better in a way. As he reloaded he looked over to the shotgun toting fox and Cecil as they entered. "Well this keeps getting more interesting. I swear, same people always get dragged into shit in this city." Xander holstered his pistol and gave Kro a half smile. "Put the poor bastard down would you?"
Xander glanced over for a moment and spotted Geoff, staring at him from across the room.
-
"I'm with him" Cecil said, motioning to Xander. "Put that fur down and walk away, or else." Cecil said, while producing large mirror shards in both hands.
-
"Firstly, I'll have you know my mother is dead. Secondly, I'm gonna walk out that door, and then this guy is gonna be just fine. Until then..."
The smoke from his hand covered Kro's arm, and poured slightly onto the floor.
-
Rhosyn looks to my right at the newcomer pulling out the weapons.
"Thank's luv, appreciate the assist!" she grinned and looked at the fur holding the innocent. "But aye've got this handled."
A click and the grappling hook on my gauntlet shoots forward at lightning speed and wraps around the scythe, and the clockwork pulls hard.
-
Ray had remained silent, but tears streamed from his eyes. He had hoped the robbers would've left him in the bank, but apparently kidnapping was on the agenda. Ray also knew that, unfortunately, if these thugs wouldn't kill him, his clients will. His bank, which he had advertised as impregnable, obviously was not. This would cost him, dearly.
-
Octavain slammed Ray onto the roof of the building.
"Please forgive the manner of our ascent. But I needed a chance to talk to you." he states. "At the end of this. There will be questions. Who am I? what do I want? I hope you will answer that question. My name is Octavain Tactium. I had little in the way of family. That fear you feel now? that is what I feel ever day of the week. The simple fact is. Powered furs are growing in power. Your kinds days are numbered... Ray isn't it?" Tact releases one of Rays arms. "I want you spread the word. Is that clear?"
Meanwhile The 2 thugs bolt, the male one Grabs Geoff, dragging him with them.
-
Ray, when he made contact with the roof, cried out in fear and pain. He looked up at his captor, and wept openly. "W-What d-do y-you want m-me to say?"
-
The smoke that the spider had created cleared away. "Drat!" Cecil said, "they got away!". He looked around the bank, the empty bank, Cecil gasped as he realized what had happened. "Those guys! Those thugs! They took Geoffrey! We have to go after them!"
-
"Who?"
Coughing, Rhosyn looked around, her grappling hook retracted clutching the scythe.
"Listen mate, aye just walked in t'e this establishment. I dunn' know what yer talkin' about. Who is Geoffrey?" she still held her shotgun out, looking around for any enemies.
-
((Sorry, I went off, so I didn't reply. Please give me time to reply if you're gonna do stuff like that.))
Kro pulled on the clockwork, retaking his sickle, and dropping the civilian. He then dashed outside, and out into an all!eyway, which he filled with smoke. By the time the smoke dissipated, he was gone. And he still had his sickle.
-
"Geoffrey is my friend. He runs an art shop nearby. And those lowlives took him!"
-
Geoffrey instantly regretted the words he let escape from his mouth. As much as he wanted to take down the government, these people had an terrible, powerful vibe to them, and he was just a poor bear who can talk to ghosts. Terrified, he let himself get dragged away.
-
((Sorry about that, retconning to just the hook returning to me))
"Well, lad that's a dang shame, but what d'ye think aye can'ne do about it?"
Upon seeing the lack of enemies, she holsters the shotgun again.
-
Octavain twists Ray's arm. "tell them... Tell them that things are changing... tell them that We will be free... Tell them a golden age is coming. And they are either with us... or... well... I think you know the rest." Octavain knocks Ray over, Slamming his shoulder into the roof, before letting go, and scrambling away, preparing to jump to another nearby rooftop.
~~~
The 2 thugs move quickly. Hoping they will not be followed. "I think one of the patrons saw us." The male thug, who was in the process of removing his mask to reveal a grey wolf, states. "That smoke guy seems to have it covered." The fox replies. "We need to get back to our base. Tact will make his own way there." The wolf blinks. "what about the guy still in the bank?" The fox grins. "Never seen him before. Looks like Tacts plans are already succeeding." The wolf snarls. "As long as I get payed, I don't give a toss to be honest."
-
Kro kept running. The adrenaline was all be needed.
After a while, he came to a stop. Satisfied that no one was chasing, he took his mask off, placing it in his pocket. His sickle went back into his coat, and he put his glove back on. That was fun. He would happily do it again. He now wandered the streets, away from the bank. Far away.
-
Xander shrugged and walked past Cecil and Rhosyn as he made his way out of the bank. Well, that was eventful. Wonder if anything else spectacular will happen today?
-
((Sorry about that, retconning to just the hook returning to me))
"Well, lad that's a dang shame, but what d'ye think aye can'ne do about it?"
Upon seeing the lack of enemies, she holsters the shotgun again.
"We have to follow them! Come on! They couldn't have gotten far! Cecil said, and he exited the bank through the front door."
-
"I come to the bank, and adventure follows me." she grins fiercely and follows the mouse at a sprint.
"Come on lad, lets see what their made of!"
-
Ray yelped, at first from the twist, and then felt his shoulder give upon impact with the roof. He curled up, and waited for Octavian to leave.
-
((Sorry Ray! D:))
Octavain leaps from roof to roof, staying above the city, heading for the industrial section of the city. The thugs on the ground, with Geoff, also head there. Aware they could be being followed.
-
(('Ey, jus' like m' uncle Tony says, fo'geddabowdet.))
Ray sat up, gingerly, and looked for a safe way down. He was shocked, dazed and confused.
-
Xander walked out of the bank and looked up just in tie to see the grotesque spider thing jumping from roof to roof. He watched for a few moments before deciding to follow from street level. He started to sprint in the direction the over-sized arachnid was heading.
-
Ray started down the fire-escape ladder, gingerly trying to get down. He needed to do damage control, as soon as possible.
-
Cecil was sprinting in Xander's direction. "We have to stop him! He has Geoffrey!" He shouted.
-
Xander cocked his head at Cecil. "No he doesn't. The other two took Geoff. This guy has Ray."
-
Octavain kept moving. Crawling across towards the location he planned to drop to street level. A small back alleyway. From there he could apply his second disguise, and move uncontested.
Until then, he had to stay far ahead.
~~~
The other two thugs come to a stop at a street corner. "OK... Anyone following us?" The fox asks. "Not that I can see." The wolf replies. "Good... think its time to move more discretely." She pulls out a backpack, places the money inside, and then removes her mask. "OK... Now. Just act like nothing happened." She tells the wolf, and Geoff.
She starts to move off. Suddenly acting cheerful, she made some alterations to her clothes to. She looked like a young fox, no older than 18. She had the look of a student, possibly an engineer. It was hard to believe she was robbing a bank mere minutes ago. The wolf looked far older, and had a far harder time making themselves look respectable. It did not help that his arms seemed to be badly scarred.
-
Ray slid down the last few feet of the ladder, but his foot caught the last rung, and he fell. Ray yelped, and groaned as he rested on the sidewalk, his head spinning.
-
Xander was still sprinting after the spider. Doing his best to keep his eyes on him whilst paying attention to where he was going. He narrowly avoided slamming into some and stumbled a little but quickly regained his balance and kept running.
-
Rhosyn aimed her grappling line up and fired, taking a running leap and swinging up to the building and dashing across the rooftops.
This was her element, the hunt, the chase, like so many battle before she had them on the run. She pulled her saber out of the sheath along with her shotgun, firing a warning shot over their head.
-
Xander cocked his head at Cecil. "No he doesn't. The other two took Geoff. This guy has Ray."
"Then I'm going after them!" Cecil shouted. He turned a corner and started heading down an alleyway. He opened up a portal that led to the top of a building. From there he had a perfect view of the city. He spotted two characters in the distance.
-
((erm, what two characters? Octavain is alone, The two thugs are with Geoff))
Octavain swears. Someone else was up here with them. Chasing. He swears under his breath, and crawls down, so he is on the side of a building, hoping to limit where he could be shot from, and also keeping an eye on the street.
-
(at this point, Rhosyn wants answers and you were one of the guys there, thus chasing.)
Seeing the figure drop down to the side of the building, Rhosyn took her hook and clanked it onto a nearby building, leaping off the side of the building and swinging down lower to stay in line of sight, firing her shotgun trying to slow the runner.
-
((That makes sense, i was questioning Cecil))
Octavain pauses as the wall ahead of him explodes from a shotgun blast. He realizes his mistake, and tries to clamber up the building, panicking slightly more than he would like to admit.
-
((erm, what two characters? Octavain is alone, The two thugs are with Geoff))
Octavain swears. Someone else was up here with them. Chasing. He swears under his breath, and crawls down, so he is on the side of a building, hoping to limit where he could be shot from, and also keeping an eye on the street.
((Two thugs = two characters, but if I'm forgetting any other details just let me know))
Cecil made another portal that lead to the ground. On the street that the thungs were on. He started running at them. Continuing the chase.
-
((but there are 3 characters, or 2 + Geoff :S ))
((Also I can't interact there until Evna comes on and posts))
-
Xander slowed down a little as the spider was fired upon and crawled along the side of the wall. He scowled up at Rhosyn for a moment. "Are you kidding me? What a dumb thing to do..." He sighed and returned to trying to follow the spider from the ground.
-
((Yeah 2 + Geoffrey. And don't worry about it, I have plenty of time to wait. I'm sure Geoff is just enjoying the holiday.))
-
She landed on the wall, and climbed up after the spider. Upon reaching the top again, she fired the grappling hook at the spider, aiming to entangle the creature, now fleeing, hoping the blind attack could grapple it.
-
Octavain raises a leg, letting it get hit with the grappling hook, curling round and sticking. he then pulls on it, hoping to drag his attacker towards him, off the edge of the building.
-
Rhosyn planted one of her hooves in the ground and yanked back, the gears in the grappling hook help her pull the spider towards her.
"C'mere ye buggah!"
-
Octavain swears. While he was physically larger, he was frail. Unlike his attacker. Octavain struggles against the pull... then suddenly does the reverse, he leaps at the person realing him up, hoping to plow into them, knocking them off the far side of the building.
-
"Ooof! Why hello there!" she grappled the spider and attempted to hold on to him with two of her arms, while the one holding the saber puts it up to their face.
"Ye fell right inte'h m'aye trap there lad."
-
Octavain slams the leg with the hook attached to it into Rhosyn's stomach. Hoping to knock her off balance and make her let go of him.
"I'm sorry. But I don't think I speak your language" He states. Insulting Rhosyn's accent.
-
"Ooofh! That 'urt! I just want te'h ask ye a few" she paused and punched him in the face with her two free fists three times. "Questions. Why don't yeh" punch, "just" punch "calm" punch "down!"
-
Octavain yells as his mask is hit, He sweeps a leg under his attacker, hoping to knock her over. He then raises his legs to try to deflect any more incoming blows. The punches were doing a surprising amount of damage, his mask helped a little, but he really could not keep fighting for long.
"What exactly do you want to know." He says. Angrily.
-
Ray returned to the bank, glad that, at least, the common thieves had the decency to leave him alone. He stepped inside the bank, and looked up at the hole in the ceiling Octavian made while leaving, and felt a burning sensation. Ray realized then that his back was lacerated by bits of glass when he was forced through the roof. He sighed, and made his way to the vault, leaving a few small droplets of blood on the floor. Ray didn't realized that he had left a pretty definitive blood trail from where Octavian left him. The young raccoon, upon reaching the inside of the vault, wanted to scream, cry, vomit, and curl up all at once. The inside of the massive black-iron vault was barren of any and all currency. Seven different accounts and two business investments, gone. The young raccoon, overcome by the sudden loss of, well, everything, laid down on the vault's floor, and curled up, vainly hoping that it was all some sort of horrific nightmare.
-
Xander had been watching the spider and Rhosyn fight for a while. He sighed and looked for a way up. He ran into the building and sprinted up the stairs all the way up to the roof, bursting out onto the roof. He bent over and panted heavily. "**censor** sake... Why ya gotta make me run?"
-
While Rhosyn was punching with three of her arms, not letting go of the deathgrip her legs had on the spider, she pulled out the shotgun from her holster with her fourth hand, shoving the barrel to the mask, round in the chamber.
"If ye'd stop squirmin' I'd ask ye! Now tell meh.." her eyes glowed purple as she shoved the barrel a little harder.
"͘͘W̴h̡̕y ̧҉di͟҉d͘͟ ͘͠y̢ou̶ ̀gu͏ys̡͘ ̛knóc͠k̢ ͘o̴vé̶r̷̶ ̀͢th̴͘͡a̛͠͞t͘͢҉ ̴̸b̵a̡n͢k̀.͟͟"̧͜͞ she said, her voice grinding, losing it's accent.
-
Xander shouted at Rhosyn. "Hey fuckface! Could you not do that for like five minutes? Cool off for a couple of seconds."
-
She looked up at the newcomer.
"What's yer problem, mate? I've got him down, doin' some interrogatin'! This bloke was at the crime scene, I wanna know what he knows."
-
((I was waiting on Geoff))
Octavain makes a snarling noise as the shotgun is pushed into his mask. "Money and public recognition." Octavain states. "And to eventually free this city from tyranny"
-
"Aye, but there be many better ways t'get that fame 'nd glory, lad." she looked over at the newcomer. "Are ye gonna help with tyin' up this vagabond? Or just stand there gawkin'??"
She looked down at the spider again. "Yer lucky aye caught ye. I dunne have a hidden agenda like the coppas, but if yer not straight with me, I'mma make sure ye have the most painful death in existence, savvy?"
-
Xander started to walk over to Rhosyn and the spider. He stared from one to the other, he considered the goals of the spider and shrugged. "Neither." Xander then shoved Rhosyn away from the spider and helped him up.
(gonna be honest, I'm perceiving some OPness in some of those last few posts)
-
(( Sorry D: I was aiming for an indiana Jones' esque character. The whole swinging from things and chasing. parkour-y. the difference is he doesn't have powers.))
"Oy! What was that for?" She scrambled to her feet. "Are you in on the whole bank heist?"
-
Octavain looks over to Xander. "I will point out the police will be here any moment... So I can't hang around to be~" Octavain shoves one leg onto Rhosyn's shotgun, hoping to knock it away. "~Arrested. Still. you... Wolf... what is your game. You resist me in the bank, then prevent me being shot."
-
Geoffrey was naturally able to blend in as his normal impoverished self, with his worn jacket and flat cap. He stayed silent as he followed the thugs. He was conflicted about siding with the bank robbers, but he did steal a sack of pears earlier just to spite the system. What made him any better?
Well, he didn't aim to manhandle the shopkeeper, so he had that going for him.
-
"No, no I'm not." Xander shrugged at Tact. "I disagree with the way you're going after your goal. However I believe your goal is pretty much just."
-
As Cecil was getting closer to the thugs he could finally make out a thick figure that resembled a bear. "Geoffrey!" He shouted, "hold on! I'm coming!"
-
The two bank robbers look over at Geoff. "You know this guy?" The fox asks. "Can you try to get rid of him before he causes a scene?"
~~~
Octavain (or "Tact") sighs. "The only way to fix things, is if we all are willing to strike back. A revolution is not done by one man. We need an army. This was my way of recruiting."
-
Geoff's ears lowered. "I'll see what I can do."
He began walking toward Cecil.
-
As the figure of the bear got bigger Cecil slowed down. "Geoff, is that you? Come with me! These people aren't your friends, they're just thugs! Trust me!"
-
Geoffrey rushed over to Cecil.
"Calm down, alright?" he panted. The bear leaned closer to the mouse and spoke quietly. "I know who they are, but I'm not gonna let them take my hard-earned gold like that. I'm gonna play along and take back what I can."
-
Ray stepped out of the vault, and took his position behind the counter. He thought about going to the apothecary, but didn't know how he was gonna pay.
-
Cecil shook his head, he wasn't liking the sound of this. "What are you planning to do exactly?"
-
"I don't know, I'm just gonna see what I can do. If I manage to take back all they stole I'll bring it back, but I doubt that will work. I'll likely only take my gold and run."
He looked back. "don't worry about me. I-If something happens, it's no big loss."
He jogged back to the thugs.
-
Xander shrugged at the spider. "Well, I suppose. Maybe I just need more convincing than others to join your cause. Either way, power to you, sir." He looked to Rhosyn. "You gonna shoot him or can I walk away knowing he'll live?"
-
She frowned and glared at the wolf, her eyes darkening with purple again.
"Give me one good reason to let him walk, or for that matter, you. He was trying to harm innocents and take what is rightfully theirs. While normally I would condone that, I'm feeling rather righteous today. I don't like people stealing."
-
"Innocents? What innocents are those. Every person in this city who sits idle, every person who keeps their head down... Every person who continues to allow this... They are all GUILTY." Octavain says coldly. "Regardless of if they realize or not. As long as the people continue to allow this... place... to be run like this. More will be killed for stealing bread, more will be tortured for daring to speak up. Why? Because OF YOU." Octavain points a front leg at Rhosyn, moving forward slightly. all eyes on her.
Post Merge: November 30, 2015, 07:20:24 PM
The thugs look up. "Shall we make a move?" The fox asks Geoff. "Hopefully Tact got back OK."
-
She growled pointing the end of her shotgun at the spider again.
"You are going to blame the actions of a few on the many thousands of individuals living here? How selfish are you to do that. Do you not think there are people in that bank who have saved their lives away because there is no other option? Those who didn't need to steal bread until your band of hooligans tipped it over. Now the thousands who used that bank will suffer for your revenge on the one percent of those who used it for evil means."
She shook her head sadly. "I am one of many. Sure small outburst will be stifled, but when the entire machine bucks under the weight of it's oppression, as one, there is nothing that can stand in her way. Anarchy and chaos in this time will only break down the system until all will suffer. I will not sit idly by when those who have no stain on their souls be punished for the wrongdoing of a few."
She stared back into the spider's many eyes, pleading. "Did ye ever think that ye might get more support by helpin' and educatin' those who are in the wrong? That ye could attract more help by information, than by a stunt like that? Now every'ne thinks yer a bunch'o terror-mongers that are in it fer thems'elves. That's how they get'cha. They will blame you and yer cause will be tha' much harder t'e achieve."
Suddenly she lowered the shotgun and slid it back in the holster. "Ifin' ye can't se tha', yer just as bad as they are."
-
"He has a point as far as I'm concerned. The people of this city sit in complacent silence and obedient submission, ignoring the suffering of those born slightly differently to them because it isn't them so why should they care. When that is the attitude of an entire community, that is the most heinous crime I can think of. This coming from a man like me is awfully rich yet it is the truth as far as I'm concerned. You ask me nothing short of a full scale revolution is going to change things." Xander sighed and glanced from the spider to Rhosyn. "So can we part ways now? He's not going to get shot?"
-
She looked back to the wolf, glaring.
"So because they don't know any better, don't understand that those with power are not to be feared but to be celebrated, they deserve to die and suffer? Without given a chance to learn? Tell me, how is kicking over a little bank like this going to help anyone, huh?"
-
Octavain looks straight at Rhosyn. "If you want to educate Vlad to be a better leader feel free to give him a visit. Maybe a peaceful petition." The spider says, mockingly. he then backs off slightly. "Change comes to those who seek it. Those in charge now do not care about right or wrong. The only thing they care about is force. Maybe I will start an anarchy, but from that, there will at least be change. A new beginning. This city is beyond saving... at least not with your methods." Octavain turns, and prepares to jump away to another roof.
-
She sighed and shook her head.
"Aye won't stop yer spider friend, wolf, but mark my words. Some day, iffin' this city does stand tall again, it won't be from the likes of ye or yer kin." she said gravely, keeping her hand off the shotgun.
-
"I don't think the whole bank thing helped anyone at all. Pointless publicity stunt which could have been done some other way or something I suppose. As for innocents dying, I said no such thing. They just need to move when someone comes along with an army to kill those who need to be killed. Not so bad. Can I leave now?" Xander pauses. "Hey! Spider, if I were interested in what you want to do, where would I go exactly?"
-
Octavain pauses. "The bank was necessary for the money as well as the publicity" Octavain states. "Wolf? Come closer. I still do not trust your four armed friend." When Xander came closer, Octavain whispers to him. "Abandoned warehouse... edge of the city, right up near the wall.." Octavain gives the address, then leaps away to another roof. Continuing on his way, making for his base.
-
She watched the spider go, running off across the rooftops.
"So, wolf, what's yer game in this? Ye seem t'e have a good head on yer shoulders, but yer playin' hardball here." she turned to him, crossing her arms in front of her and grinning. "Aye dunno why but ye seem... honest... at least. Compared to that icky bloke."
-
Xander cracked a slight smile. "No game. I just want to kill a man who deserves to be killed. That's about it." He started to head for the way back into the building so he could begin his descent back to the ground.
-
She nodded, empathizing. Turning to look over the rooftops, she sat on a nearby smokestack, thinking about what was to come.
-
Cecil watched Geoff go. He didn't like it but, there was nothing he could do. He turned around and slowly walked back. He must've seemed weak and helpless to those thugs, but if they ever crossed him, he would make sure that they pay for their crimes.
-
Ray sighed, and shook his head. He started out to the apothecary's, not even bothering to lock the bank. What was the point? There was nothing left.
-
Tact arrives back at base. The two thugs and Geoff were already there The base was an abandoned warehouse, large, and imposing.
Tact walks in under his disguise once more, tall, using his legs to mimic a normal humanoid. "Sorry I am late..." Tact looks over at Geoff. "Have we picked up a new recruit already?"
-
Geoff tried to swallow his nervousness and nodded. "Y-yes. Uh, I discovered I was powered some time ago, but I'm not sure how useful it will be. Nevertheless, I'm willing to help overthrow the pigs at the top."
-
Tact nods. "Good." Tact backs off to address the 3. "We have made a bold first step." He announces. "I trust we have a significant haul of money?" The wolf nods. "Indeed. As we have a new member. I should introduce myself formally. I am Octavain Tactium, though you can refer to me as Tact, that is Diulf." Tact Gestures at the fox. "And finally that is Gunn" Tact gestures at the wolf, who grunts in response. "We have money, what we need next is support. Gunn. I trust you can get the supplies we need with this." "As long as I get my cut." he snarls. "Of course" Tact responds. "I already have decided our next target... Ironstone prison." Tact declares. "You sure about that?" Diulf questions. "Quite sure." Tact replies. "Still, until then, you two should get some rest. Gunn will sort out the supplies tomorrow. The day after that we break some people out of prison"
"Diulf will show the new person around the base I trust... Are there any other questions?" Tact asks.

Xander was strolling through the streets, doing his best to keep to the alleyways and the less busy streets. He had managed to get his hands on a second flintlock pistol. He was heading towards the abandoned warehouse at the edge of the city that the spider had told him about. He wasn't entirely sure why he was even going, but he was and that was all that really mattered.
-
Kro was still wandering the streets, hidden by his mask and jacket. This life wasn't ideal, but it allowed him to get by. Better than nothing, he thought, as he wandered through the back streets, surrounded by abandoned husks of buildings.
-
Ray reached the apothecary's without a hitch, and went inside. He hoped there would be some charity in the doctor's heart.
-
Tact nods. "Then it seems we are in agreement." Tact nods, and moves away from the group.
Duilf nods to Geoff. "The rooms are on the next floor up. Here, let me show you." She begins to move in the direction of the stairs.
-
Geoff followed Duilf silently.
He had no idea what he was doing.
-
After visiting the apothecary, who was gracious enough to give Ray a while to pay off what he owed, the young raccoon walked back to his home.
-
Xander approached the warehouse, looking around to see if he had been followed at or if anyone was nearby. After deciding he was alone he shrugged and started to look for a way in. The door, whilst rather obvious, seemed like a good enough way in as any and he walked up to it, turning the handle and stepping and frowning as it refuses to budge. "That would be too easy..."
-
Diulf shows Geoff to a room on the upstairs, it was small, and a bit run down. Probably still better than what Geoff was used to though... "This is your room." Diulf says. "You should rest. I am going to head down to the kitchen to get you something to eat..." The fox disappears, leaving Geoff in his new room.

Within Tact's base, a small puddle of smoke laid on the floor. It slowly rose up, and as it did, it expanded ever so slightly.
Kro stepped from the smoke, with his mask and hood on. He looked around for the spider, as he knew this was the place.
-
Tact notices the smoke materialize from his office far above. He had removed his mask now, showing his twisted 8 eyed face. Covered in scars, like someone had tried to alter his face. He looks down at Kro. "Seems my advertising worked..." He says. pleased with himself. He then moves over to the door, and opens it. There were no stairs beyond, just a sheer drop. Not a problem for a spider. He heads down the wall towards what he expected to be his newest recruit.
-
Kro looked around, until his eyes met the spider. He stepped back, allowing the smoke to flow back into himself before he put his gloves back on..
"I trust you recognise me as I do you?"
-
"There is only really one question I have." Tact responds. "Are you with me? Brother?"
-
"For the downfall of the oppressors of our enhanced kind? If so, then indeed.... But please, is it possible for you to refrain from calling me brother? It seems.... Strange, but I understand why you use such vocabulary."
Kro watched the spider from behind his facade. It somewhat comforted him, in case things were to go sour, that his face was hidden.

Xander had searched for another entrance to the warehouse before deciding to give up and just try and kick down the door. He went back to it and took a couple of steps away from it before charging at it and slamming his foot into the door, right next to the lock. The door swung open and hit the wall. He stepped in and stared at the wolfsky and the spider. There was a pause before he spoke up. "You may want to think about fixing that..."
