Saw something similar that was posted last year at this link: http://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=24597.0 (http://www.thefurryforum.com/forums/index.php?topic=24597.0)
Anyways, let's see what the percentages are. For science.
Keep it civil.
-
Pansexual as always.
-
This video sums it up nicely

Pansexual as always.
I guess that's what happens when it's such a vague proposition. XP

I guess that's what happens when it's such a vague proposition. XP
These days that could be said for any of them , but if you try to give your own two cents it's considered oppression and harassment :D
-
I'm actually pretty sure a 2015 sexuality poll was also posted, but it's locked now so it's fine to make a new one
I'm gay! probably a 5 on the Kinsey scale
-
Bi/pan/whatever, 3 on the Kinsey scale.
-
Pretty much gay, still have the odd bit of Bi still in meh but thats not often. ^~^
-
I am pretty much straight, but there are still times when I'm a bit bi. That doesn't happen very often though.
I am still so surprised at the amount of homosexuals in the furry fandom.

Is doing this the only reason you go here?

That depends what you're referring to. If you mean posting, then yes :3

I really don't know why But I'm surprised by the amount of straight votes.

I really don't know why But I'm surprised by the amount of straight votes.
It surprises me too, and I'm straight!
-
I know that I am definitely surprised myself.
-
Whoa, that IS surprising.
...
THE END IS NIGH!!! *flails like an absolute idiot*
-
It's actually not that surprising given the distribution.
There are 12 straight people, but also 26 non-straight people, it's just the non-straight people are split into categories.
For example pansexuality and bisexuality are similar, but they've been split so really there are 14 people who are "bisexual and bisexual like"
Considering that almost every furry survey out there has shown a clear distribution of bisexual people being the majority, straight people next then homosexual people, this distribution is not surprising.
-
Pan. cx
-
I recently stopped caring about my sexuality. I cant fool myself. I like guys, though I have very high standards for them and girls, they always were cool. So I guess that means I'm bisexual
-
Asexual. Heteromantic, if you believe --romanticism is a thing.
-
Talk about passive-aggressive. :P
-
Passive-aggressive? How?
I just know some people who don't believe it's a thing. Because 'Tumblr made it'.
I'm starting to think I'm more aromantic though, I have no desire to be in a relationship even though I'm a junior, and I'm getting a car senior year.
-
Hue hue, bisexual here.
Oddly, I've never actually had sexual relations with the same sex. It may be that I've never had an opportunity to, or the fact that I'm honestly a bit frightened of my sexuality a decent chunk of the time. I figured that I'm always developing and experiencing a sort of constant identity crisis, plus some of the ramifications are quite real. Trying to find a better way to elaborate, but I'm not finding the ability to articulate at the moment.
THIS IS FOR RESEARCH PORPOISES, OF COURSE :D
(Also, did that Kinsey Scale bit. A 2, if you may!)
-
Im honestly not sure anymore but bi I think
-
I'm Genderfluid, and extremely confused with my sexuality. When I'm a guy, i'm still pansexual, but I lean a lot more towards other guys. But as a girl, I wouldn't even think of dating a guy? And then when i'm Agender, then i'm as pansexual as can be...
Gah, I feel it's best not to put a label on me :P
-
I like men. Dunno anything about this Kinsey Scale though.
-
I like men. Dunno anything about this Kinsey Scale though.
Kinsey scale
0 = Exclusively Heterosexual
1 = Mostly Heterosexual with incidental homosexual behavior
2 = Mostly Hetero with more than incidental homo
3 = bi
4, 5 and 6 are the same as 2, 1 and 0 (respectively) but hetero and homo are switched.
-
Thanks for clearing that up for me, Anoni. :3
-
I think I'm a -45. :P
-
I'm becoming more confused with my gender and sexual identity with every day.
Can I recall my vote here?
I think I'm genderfluid as well, but I can't confirm if
-
I don't really know, so I chalk it up to Pansexual. I find myself more lesbian with pan-romantic traits.
-
I'm bisexual, though still a bit inexperienced with relationships of either sex and have very narrow 'types'. I guess I'm just really attracted to androgyny as well. TBH I find 'coming out' or randomly announcing who I prefer to have intimate relationships with to be strange so no one really knows yet, but I still sometimes want the topic/appropriate context to come up so I can admit it.
Also I'm maaaaybe genderqueer but I'm not sure if I'd really call myself that because it's, I don't know...pretentious? Tumblr-y? Not entirely sure if that's accurate? Basically I like super girly and masculine stuff(including a serious interest in crossdressing... :p) but I don't really care too much about being in a box. I'm just me, you know? And I won't stress about being myself. If I had to have some label I suppose I could be an androgynous female...
-
I find the concept of bisexuality/pansexuality interesting because you are able to love someone for who they are as opposed to exclusions based on gender. None of the "he's perfect but I'm a guy" complications. I'm not sure if I am wording this correctly, so correct me if I am wrong.
I just find it to be intereting, in a good way.
Also Amethyst, I think crossdressing is pretty neat. Have you made an attempt at it so far?
-
I also like crossdressing and would do it, if I wasn't so scared of incoming hate wave from the general community.
-

I haven't really cross-dressed yet, since I don't have too many chances to go out and do so if that makes sense. If I do I'd want to commit fully to it, at least appearance-wise(like a wig, binder, 'masculine' makeup, etc). I'm planning on going to some conventions next year so maybe I can "crossplay" to get a feel for it, and it'll be more acceptable to do so there anyway ^^' But at the very least I do like to shop in the guys' section in clothing stores too X3
And I don't think I'd mind if I get flack for it. In my part of the country(AKA the south) there are plenty of things about me that would be "unconventional".
-
What constitutes masculine makeup?
Also I've heard of people using binders having issues with constriction if used for too long.

Also I've heard of people using binders having issues with constriction if used for too long.
It's more like makeup to make your face more typically "male". For instance, making the jaw look wider, darker/thicker eyebrows, lighter lips, etc. Even facial hair if you're ambitious enough X3
I don't think I'd get a real binder unless I really want to. I'm kinda..."small" in that area so I could get away with wearing a thick sports bra or something. I also wouldn't wear it everyday, like some ftm people might.

Makes sense I guess. I hadn't thought about makeup used like that. As for the size thing... I guess that's good in this situation?
I don't even know anymore. I'm honestly curious about all this. Not exactly a ton of opportunities to ask people about the subject.
-
If you ever do it, Amethyst, please do post pictures

I've done a little bit of theatre makeup so it's kind of similar to that in a way ^^'
I'd like to have more discussions about this stuff/gender with people too, but it's a rather...divisive subject sometimes. Everyone has their own thoughts on the matter, so their will sometimes be disagreements or different opinions. I'm still trying to figure out who I am and what I really feel like XP
And if I do so, I shall get some pics. I need to post in the photo thread sometime anyway.
-
I just love everyone :3
-
Sorry that your attempts at discussing the subject can be divisive with certain people Amethyst.
If you're ever willing to talk about it, I'd like to hear.
-
Sorry if I sounded negative in my last post ^^' I was just thinking about certain people on a certain blogging site.
When I think about it having different ideas is what makes discussions interesting, like having a different perspective on others' experiences. Sure, if people are spiteful or just want an argument it's no fun, but otherwise it's not so bad.
-
Agreed. I won't always agree with a person, but I won't throw away the opinion of another person simply because it goes against what I believe.
Unless their opinion is hateful. That's different of course.
-
May I ask why do you want to look like a man other than for lulz? Nothing is preventing you from engaging in "manly" activities as a woman.
-
May I ask why do you want to look like a man other than for lulz? Nothing is preventing you from engaging in "manly" activities as a woman.
I'd like to know the same. Isn't your personality an internal thing, not external?
-
Maybe it's just a choice of what she'd rather wear.
-
May I ask why do you want to look like a man other than for lulz? Nothing is preventing you from engaging in "manly" activities as a woman.
The most honest reason I can find is that, well, it appeals to/really interests me. I like mens' fashion and styles as well as female ones, and I'm curious about dressing, well, masculine. I guess it may be a little silly, but it's not because I find it 'funny'. Who knows, when I try it out I may find it less fun than I thought. Or, maybe I'll like it a lot more. I figure if you ask someone why they crossdress you'll get a different answer each time ^^
And I definitely do "guy" things and still consider myself female. I don't think the activities you do decide your gender, but rather what you feel or brain/psychology stuff. I hope I'm not being too confusing.
Maybe it's like I'm an omnivore, but I sometimes like eating vegan stuff because I like that too...?
-
I hope it all goes well whenever you do decide to try it. Any specific type of male clothing you're into specifically?
-

So you like into art. It makes a lot of sense then. But obviously some people will find your art repulsive, as with any form of art, especially if you go extreme

One hundred percent straight. But sometimes i wonder what it would be like to be a girl. Besides that i'm all man.

"This is how it all started for me lol. Now I'm not that straight anymore"
Go figure. I used to be completely straight, but now I kind of consider myself bisexual. Or bi-curious. I don't know what to call it @.@
Literally same here
-
Well i know I'm one hundred percent man because when i stumble across any sort of gay erotica i run period. So if i was actually a girl I'm pretty sure i would be lesbian. XD

So I am not a man? Well colour me surprised, last time I checked I had all the parts needed.

+1 on that. It doesn't make a you any less of a man if you're attracted to men. :/
-

Are you sure? I also thought like that, but it turned out differently.
Also, there's a term for describing sexual attraction towards strictly woman and other one for towards strictly men, but I forget and can't find them.
-
I also find gay pornography repulsive, but it doesn't change the fact

or you can call it non discrimination as if the same sex does not deserve one's love
-
I find porn repulsive in general.

I'd like to state I'm attracted to neither man or woman, the only thing for me is pans of all variety.

What? WHAT FACT? *context needed*

I'm twenty two and firm on my belief.

Yeah i guess you're right on that. I wasn't trying to insult anyone if someone took it that way.

All i can really say its that it's a a desperation thing for me.

the fact that I like guys.

I dunno... I just see people fangirling over how sexy a character or a celebrity is and it just seems... disturbing that someone would actually take the time and film, write, or draw people in that way. I get that it's still art and should be appreciated at face value, but I just don't see the appeal. I don't see how that can substitute for real intercourse.
But I guess my biggest issue is pedophilia/necrophilia, abuse, rape, and BDSM.
-
But I guess my biggest issue is pedophilia/necrophilia, abuse, rape, and BDSM.
I think we all have an issue, if not a deep hatred, for those things.
-
Bondage (one aspect of BDSM at least) isn't always about control or submission. Sometimes it's related purely to trust, to be helpless while still feeling safe with someone you love. I think. Don't quote me on that.
Grovy, what exactly is the reason you are talking about?
-

Because of the thing you put about finding repulsive porn repulsive. It was funny and made me giggle. Now add what you just posted too. You're also smart. Get in the skype chat btw.
-
Please remember that this is a PG-13 board.
-
Thank you for your complements Grovy. I appreciate it. I'm in school at the moment, so I can't really join in on the Skyle chat as of now.
I also think we should tone down the borderline NSFW discussion. There are alternative things to discuss, or places to discuss this.
-
That actually escalated quite quickly in my opinion. My bad for even bringing up the topic! :(
-
Maybe we could continue the conversation in the adult forum (you know if we had a lot of people using them).
-
Well, we definitely have a nice variety don't we?
-
Oh my god, there are nine other asexuals? We can start a club. XD
-
At this point I am curious what the "Other" section would constitute...
-
Hm, it could be people who are questioning/not sure yet, people who don't want a label, demisexuals (though I don't consider that a separate orientation but that's a different discussion), or something else entirely.
-
Fair enough.
-
Relaxed Straight
-
Define relaxed.
-
Relaxed/adjective/- free from tension and anxiety; at ease.
Like that?
haha
It means I'm 95% straight
-
Makes sense.
-
Did I bring back a dead thread (well not "dead")?
I saw "relaxed straight" on my jeans, and I said, "hey, that's so me (sexuality wise)." It was a dumb thing.
-
It's been quiet here.
Sexual orientation= jeans.
-
Yes, Hollow. I'm denim-sexual. XD
-
I'm "other" as in: I haven't got a clue. :P
-
^ That would define asexual.
-
I always thought asexuality was being attracted to no one or being sexually uninterested, a little research suggests that too, no? :)
-
Yes asexual means someone who is not particularly attracted to either gender. This doesn't mean someone can't feel sexually attracted to something, it's just that sex and/or the male/female/etc genders aren't attractive to the persons.
If you don't know what you are the official title for that is "Questioning"
-
I prefer "Confuddled".
-
End result is exactly the same, makes no difference.
"The defendant complains about discrepancies between the expert's report and his testimony. For example, the report states that the rivet simply fell out of the ladder and was undamaged; in fact, as he testified at trial, the rivet had broken. We cannot see what difference that makes." - > http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-7th-circuit/1295444.html#sthash.1YVPYUa9.dpuf (http://caselaw.findlaw.com/us-7th-circuit/1295444.html#sthash.1YVPYUa9.dpuf)
-
Err... so you're saying I don't like people at all?
-
Erm, no Wyte, your wrong.
For example, as an Asexual, I KNOW that nothing interests me, I don't feel anything sexual towards anyone.
Someone who is questioning might feel things for various people but be unsure how to interpret those thoughts.
What your saying is like saying a man who is Bi, and goes out with a women, is effectively straight.
-
^ I used to feel the same way as him, then I thought I liked guys, then I realised I might like girls, then I felt like I wanted to be alone again, then I met a girl I really liked, then a guy, and so on and so fourth, hence, confused. .-.
-
Sexuality is invisible.
It's not defined by the person you are with right now, for example if you're dating a woman, but are also attracted to men, you are not straight within that instance, you are bisexual still. Sexuality is based on who you are attracted to, now who you are with, so it's invisible, just because someone is dating a man or a woman does not make them straight or gay.
I think there is a difference between "not being attracted by the idea of sex" and "Not being attracted to anything at all". There's a lot of things people could be attracted to that aren't sex with another male/female/etc xD
-
I ID as ace. Also I'm going to side with the fact that asexual is not the same as questioning.
-
Yeah, questioning is...questioning X3
I went through that myself. First I thought I was asexual, then figured no, maybe I was just straight before not caring for awhile and calling myself "label-free". Then I started thinking about it more seriously and realized I was most likely bi.
-
I think most people go through some sort of phase where they strongly question their sexuality. I go through brief fits of it occasionally, but I end back at the same spot; I'm a straight person through and through. I would recommend long and hard contemplation, at least to help ease the confusion. Like, actually envision yourself in a relationship with different people, and question whether it could work out or not.
-
I've been going through this phase for about 12 years lol! :D
-
I've been going through this phase for about 12 years lol! :D
And that's completely valid. Sexuality is fluid.
-
When I answered this question using my first account here (Colioli4, which I sadly cannot retrieve thanks to a mail hack) I was positive I was heterosexual. This, however, has changed in the past year, in which I fell in love with someone of the same gender. I was very confused at first and spent a considerable time in this state until I came to a conclusion: as I still am attracted to people from the other gender as well, I can say that I now identify as Bisexual. I came out of the closet (I guess that term applies to bisexuality as well) a few months back and thus far everyone has reacted really well to the fact. Hell I'm glad to live in the Netherlands! XD
Life can be interesting, huh? ^_^
-
That's cool, I think everyone is at least a little bisexual. :3
-
Haha might very well be. Although I do think that with many people there is a difference between being Bi-curious and Bisexual. Well, even so, sexual identity is fluid. It might very well be that everyone is a little bit of everything, but I wouldn't know. ;)
-
I generally believe in the Kinsey scale, not as a full proof model that entirely reflects reality, but as a convenient way to classify ones sexuality.
-
I entered my info on the Kinsey scale..... and I broke it
>.>
I am Straight, though.
-
The majority of the time I like girls, but around that-time-of-month, I like guys .-.
It's really annoying.
I usually just say I'm gay (female).
I can imagine that would definitely be a strange dilemma.
-
Well, I hope it all goes well.
-
Thank you, I just want to find another girl who is a furry and/or a brony c:
-
Hmm, that's interesting, I never wondered if chemical imbalance could constitute to sexuality. o:
-
I agree, I was suprised by the amount of straight votes XD
I'm pan myself :P
-
Yeah sexuality can be difficult to nail down...I've thought I might be just about all of the above at some point or another during college. But for most intents and purposes I identify as asexual, slightly heteroromantic.
I'm excited to see other aces here. :P Definitely more than I thought.

questioning pansexual

Ayyyy more aros!!
-
Well, to say the least, Pretty damn gay. ;)
-
I'm bisexual. Mostly leaning towards women (lesbian).
-
I believe pansexual is the best description of what I am. Though a percentage of demisexuality exists.
-
I also am surprised by the amount of straight votes XD
I'm asexual, biromantic with a male preference :3 only recently accepting that I like girls too and wouldn't mind being with a girl , but still prefer guys :P
-
I've only recently started identifying as pansexual, before that I identified as bisexual but pan is a much better fit for me.
-
I say I am bisexual, though honestly I am attracted to females by and large. When it comes to males, romantic attraction, I can say I have only felt an attraction towards those with feminine bodies. Long hair, female-like slender bodies, and often times crossdressed. The best furry examples I can give are Shin from Morenatsu and Laini the bunny.
-
Im pansexual, never be afraid of who ur loving
-
Flamboyantly Pansexual here~
-
I have to say, there are more straight furries here than I expected XD
-
Bisexual. Though I have a little tiny bit of straightness in me. But I'm mostly bi.
-
Though I have a little tiny bit of straightness in me.
I would hope so XD Can't really be bisexual if you don't like the opposite gender too.
-

Lol I worded that wrong XP I meant that sometimes I prefer just a male and not females. And other times I don't care.
-
I'm only at the start of adult life but this is still surprising to see so many straight people, normally furries are seen as gay/lesbian.
-
Pansexual I guees.
Mostly straight though.
-
Actually from what I've heard most people in the fandom are bisexual. The poll seems to reflect this. Other than that I did expect more gay/lesbian furs... I guess it has something to do with the amount of females in the fandom?
I am female and I went for bisexual. Most females in the fandom probably are this too
-
Sooner or later, I'll have to say the truth.
I'm male myself
I'd be Bisexual, but more of 60-40, I prefer male slightly more than female
I'll leave it at that
-
I would say I'm pretty much completely homosexual. There are really rare times where I somehow come to like the female form, but about three hundred and fifty days of the year I don't. However, I have zero preference for Humans, I guess, or animals. Just 'anthro' and Robot people who sadly aren't real, at least not yet.
You might say I'm asexual, toward life as we know it...
-
Heh, its cool to be underrepresented here XD
Im hetero
-
Then it's the "straight" option ;)
It's funny to see how the furry community is really open about sexual orientation, it's kinda unusual ^_^
-

eh its probably because of the diversity here, and people dont feel that shy about it since theres other people who are like them too.

I know I used the furry community to become a lot more open about my own sexuality. I thought it was a great community, one that accepted my sexuality without focusing on it.
-
I had no idea this poll would go so far. It is definitely informative and interesting.
-
I consider myself pan but i probably lean more toward male to female transgender people
