Hello! I am Galatea the snapping turtle. I am new to the furry fandom and, to tell you the truth, a little nervous.
I have been a furry since I was little--I used to have a crush on PePe Le Pew when I was in Kindergarten. I always thought that I was a little weird. All of my artwork revolves around animals; anthropomorphic or not. I used to claim that I simply couldn't draw people. Now that I am older, I've reached a point that I'm ready to embrace my inner furry. I would LOVE to fursuit up as my turtley self and mosey around. I guess the question is: how old is too old? I've cosplayed for a number of years as anthropomorphic characters and felt like an old fart around kids, even though they did accept me.
A little about me: I'm female, 44 years old, married, one child. I work as a dental assistant. My pets include: a cocker, 4 tarantulas, a colony of hissing roaches, a jerusalem cricket, two hens, two tortoises, and yes, a snapping turtle named Gamera, who is almost five and weighs 27 lbs. I look forward to meeting all of you!!

Hello and welcome! I have a fondness for turtles myself, though my fursona isn't based off of one. I haven't seen a turtle one yet so you are a first for me!
