Title: Furries on Dr Phil
Post by: phil_lover_alyssa1969 on August 30, 2015, 12:22:52 AM
Have you guys seen the episode of Dr. Phil with the furries on it? He was very supportive. It was pretty cool to see. B)  Anyway I know Dr Phil said he loves dogs so what kinda dog would you visualize as Dr. Phil's hypothetical fursona?

PS this is my first post on here, I've spent tons of time in the furry community on tumblr but it was getting a little clique-y for me so I'm happy to find these forums!!  ^_^ B)

I'd have to say that Dr. Phil would probably never be a furry considering the age in which he was raised. However, the fact that he is supportive of the community means that he understands furries for what they are, or at least what they are not.

Welcome to TFF by the way.

There are some jokes about furries, but overall Dr. Phil is supportive.  :D B)

I agree, Dr Phil was very clear about individuals not representing the entire fandom and I actually watched this with my family and it ended up being a good chance to talk about the fandom I what I saw as my place in it.  It was very natural and helpful how it happened.

As for his fursona... It would totally be a dog, because of the way he says "roof" (with the vowel sound from book rather than spoon), I find that endearing.  I was thinking a bull dog.  Can't find a pic which matches my vision.  This is close though:
