Along with the recent advances in technology, the art of bending has advanced as well. As the various nations and cultures began to coexist, some people found themselves able to bend a second element, although it was a skill which had to be developed over considerable time, and often resembled the bending style of a person's main element. Due to this, certain restrictions were observed when a person bent a secondary element.
A few examples of restrictions:
Earthbenders- When waterbending, they favor ice due to its solid structure and similarity to stone.
Firebenders- When airbending, concussive blasts are easily achived, but airbending is slower and more deliberate.
Airbenders- Earthbending is near impossible, due to the complete contrast against the agility of airbending.
Waterbenders- Firebending takes on a style similar to waterbending, emphasizing precise, flowing streams of flame instead of strong blasts and unfocused force.

Zaida was on a train on her way to the earth benders city. she stayed calm which made others not grow suspicious. Her Satchel hanging across her and resting on her right side having what she needed inside. they halted to a stop, the large walls opening from some of the earth benders that guarded it. She watched with awe under her hood and behind her scarf that his her identity avoiding others that would recognize to take her back or take her life.
-
I walked, bare feet touching rock as i traveled to the city, i heared there was a bounty here. K walked up to the entrince cloak covering my face.
-
*Chumani wits at a bench inside ba sing se*
-
Zaida walked in a single file line as people showed the ticket to enter inside the kingdom. Zaida showing hers was a bit uneasy until the guard let her in she sighed. "A new start... Without fire" she mumbled to herself knowing most Furries hated the fire kingdom, she began to looked at the map not paying attention where she was going.
The guard went to chains before recognizing and allowing him to enter.
-
I nod to the guard in thanks before walking through. I pulled out a cigar, lighting it.
(This feels so wrong. hahaha XD )
-
Zaida sat down pulling her hood down slowly. Some looked but seemed not to care or know she was a fire princess. "Forgot I haven't been out of the fire nation... I just have to avoid the fire benders..." She said putting the map in her satchel and fixed her scarf that covered her snout along with its rapid flowing in the wind.
-
I stopped in front of a fur with a map and a scarf, pulling my cigar from my mouth I blew smoke out.
"Hey lady!" I call to the scarfed fur.
-
Zaida was looking in her satchel making her hood fall into her head. not realizing but finally looked. "Yes?" She sad under her scarf and hood in a calm soothing voice but kept her glowing eyes locked on him with a raised brow.
-
"You know this area?" I ask looking at her as I took a long draw from the cigar and puffing the smoke out.
-
"No I'm not from here, I just arrived" she lied knowing most nations well but she was very well with lying. "I believe you can get maps." She said fixing her leather gloves and grabbed my her satchel.
-
"I see you have a map, Where you heading?" I ask seeing the map in her hands.
"Don't have any money on me."
-
"I do not know yet, I'm still trying to see any places to say for rent, or might just wander around to study the city." She replied.
-
"Hm, seems like I am in the same predicament." I said
"Tell you what, what if we work together, see how much we can learn."
-
She thought. "I suppose. But I think someone more adapted with the earth nation would be helpful right now..." She said fixing her Aqua scarf, the colors usually fooling people she was a water bender.
-
*He looks at the pond infront of him,the water sparkling under the sun*
-
"Hm, your scarf looks nice, though hard to tell, but your aura tells me fire, Why is that?"
-
"I don't know, and you can tell by aura's" she asked with a raised brow and her tail swaying up and down.
-
"Yes, I can. I may not be the Avatar, but I do have some spiritual sense, though I can only sense people aura." I say.
-
"I can somewhat but not fully or so well..." Changing the subject she said. "I guess I shall get going, I need to study the area wouldn't want to get lost in the future" she said standing up.
-
"Hey, I am sorry if I have offended you in any way." I say catching up to her.
-
"You did not, I'm not easily offended" she replies as she walked studying the place but kept her face covered since it made her feel a bit more comfortable and safe.
-
"Oh, good."
"Hey, we haven't been properly introduced, I'm Chains." I said extending my paw out for a shake.
-
Name: Galen Ardet
Age: 19
Height: 5'11"
Species: Winged Lion
Appearance: Thin, moderate musculature.
Bending Element: Earth, Metal, Fire.
Personality: Curious, justified, occasionally energetic. Typically unenthusiastic when given menial tasks.
Weapons: Braided steel cord. Standard-issue steel law enforcement armor modified for metalbending.
Attire: Grey long-sleeved shirt, long black pants, inert bronze medallion depicting a winged lion.
Story: Growing up in the early days of Ba Sing Se's industrial revolution, Galen had always found interest in the city's progress following the Hundred Year War. Learning metalbending from one of the city's older mechanics at a relatively young age, Galen found himself serving the loosely-organized law enforcement of the city as a respected instructor and machinist, with the hopes of keeping the balance that so many had fought for, and died for, many decades ago. Considering that traditional earthbending requires direct contact with the ground in order to move large masses of earth, Galen was forced to implement alternative long-range low-mass bending techniques into his arsenal in order to teach others in similar situations to level the field against the countless criminal organizations of the massive city. This style of earth and metal bending also reflects on his ability to bend fire with uncommon precision, another skill resulting from his exposure to the element while working with metal.
-
she thought knowing her name was very recognizable since she was a princess. "You can just call me Miss.Z"
-
"Well miss z, it is very nice to meet you." I said bowing.
-
*Chumani walks down a path walking past zaida and chains*
-
"It's nice to meet you as well" she said in a polite manner towards him, almost running into Chumani and her tail quickly moved to avoid tripping him.
-
"Careful," I said.
-
She nods looking at the furry that past. "He seems to know where he is going perhaps we ask him?" She said watching the tall grey wolf continue to walk.
-
"That sounds like a good idea." I said.
"Oi you!" I call out to the wolf.
-
he turns around*"yes?"
-
"You think you can help uss find our way around?" i asked.
-
"If you are familiar with the area, and free at the moment" she says soothingly with her hands behind her back.
-
"I can, where do you need to go?"
-
"I'm new, I just want to walk around the area get to know my surroundings and maybe rent somewhere to stay for awhile..." She says.
-
I"i just met her and i am the same." i said
-
"I'm new, I just want to walk around the area get to know my surroundings and maybe rent somewhere to stay for awhile..." She says.
"Alright uh...follow me i guess"
-
Zaida nods walking to his side as he was going to show them around. "Many thanks, if your comfortable do you mind telling us your name?" She said with her paws folded in from and her head looking up at the grey wolf as they walked.
-
I follow behind.
-
"Okay, pick up your chains." instructed Galen.
His light grey uniform, same as the men before him with the addition of a few steel plates on the shoulders and forearms, flashed lightly in the sunlight.
The number of metalbenders in the police force was growing quite a bit it seemed lately.
Hopefully it also meant that the new recruits were proficient in their mental faculties as well.
The five young men before him rose to a fighting stance, bending the chains through the air like steel serpents, producing a light ringing in the process.
"Good. Now, split your chains." said Galen. They'd done this before, so it was doubtful that any flaws would be possible at this point.
In the blink of an eye, a chain link snapped on its own accord, whizzing past Galen's ear and flying off past the medium-height wall.
Galen's hair stood on end as he imagined where it might head off to.
"Dammit! Ok... who did that?" he asked.
One of the men, unsuprising the least capable of the bunch, raised his hand.
"You know where that link is headed off to at high speed?" Galen asked.
"That's going towards the main gate." he added.
Hopefully it wouldn't hurt anyone too badly.
-
Zaida heard no response from the wild and fell behind 'maybe he isn't a talker' she thought walking beside chains keeping her face hidden 'although I need to practice, I don't have my constructor and I'm sure he won't teach me ever again I must teach myself once I find a hidden area...' She thought looking around the earth nation.
-
I nod in agreement. I take my chains and start adjusting them making them more comfortable around my torso.
-
Zaida grabbed a small journal from her satchel and began to write down as they walked her ears and nose both us using her senses to avoid running into anyone.
-
I look at what zaida was doing.
"What you got there?" I ask.
-
"A Journal" she said continuing to write sometimes looking up at the Furries around her or building and back to writing.
-
"Interesting, Never had a journal; but I always felt it was good to write about your life." I said looking in front of me adjusting my cloak.
-
Galen sighed, looking to the instructor obeserving the group.
"Hey Lin, mind taking over?"
"Yeah sure." responded Lin, a man considerably large and older than Galen, although not quite as good a metalbender in general.
Galen headed out for the day, finally glad to be out in the streets, hopefully without any metal objects flying at high velocity.
-
"Yes, I agree the others I left on my ship" she accidentally spat making her want to slap herself but she quickly closed the small charcoal black journal and put it in her satchel. She looked at the buildings seemingly now both in the middle of the city having multiple stands that Furries sold at, and most Furries thrived in making it packed.
-
"What was that?" I asked not catching what zaida had said.
-
"Nothing, it's not important" she said soothingly as some Furries bumped into them in the packed area, Zaida watching some street performers doing tricks getting money from people who happily watched.
-
"Oh, okay. So, where are you from?" I ask trying some small talk.
-
"Northern water tribe, my family was traveling and my mother had me there but I don't really have a home, I travel a lot." Her birth place was true but the traveling was more like running to avoid capture.
-
"I see," I say,
" I come from the fire nation. parents died in a fire and I became an orphan."
-
"Hmm" she nods. "I'm sorry for that"
-
"Don't be, it was my fault they died." I said.
-
She sighed. "You shouldn't blame yourself..." She said with her ears lowered.
-
"Why, I was the one who started the fire." I said voice going a little dark from the memory.
-
Zaida stays silent before saying. "We all make mistakes... And when things happen, when they fall apart it's for a purpose and it might be falling in place. All of us regret mistakes we have done and you should not be hard on yourself..." She said softly.
Suddenly Fire benders road their mounts through the earth nation talking to some Furries as they did then moving on to the next, their mounts knocking things over as if they were searching.
Zaida stayed silent watching from afar as the grey wolf continued to walk slowly starting to get near making her uneasy.
-
I growl lightly,
"Fire nation, Can't trust them." I said.
-
Zaida's heart sank when she saw her brother, a dark blue Sergal leading them with a cold expression. Any furry they past they studied them, taking hats, masks, and hoods off to see their faces.
Zaida grabbed there shoulders and turned down the ally. "We should keep away from them." She said with a serious voice. Her purple ears that emerged from the top of her hood moving about and listening.
-
I yipped when we were pulled into the ally.
"What was that for?" I whispered.
-
Zaida still unable to trust the two. "I have a big fear of the fire nation" she lied. "Sir do you have a home, I think it's best to go there now...P-please" She made her voice sound uneasy and scared to make them both be convinced.
-
Galen walked out, noticing a lynx being pickpocketed by a small unidentified figure.
Turning over his shoulder, he noticed Galen and ran.
Giving pursuit, the small thief earthbent to launch himself onto the rooftop of a nearby house. Galen opened his wings and landed on the same rooftop, hitting the roof running.
The thief was a mere meter away when he earthbent a small protrusion at Galen's foot. Unprepared for the subtle maneuver, Galen tripped of the building into an alley, falling to ground level in a feathered, armored, indignified heap in front of a sergal, and red fox, and a wolf.
"Ow." he muttered as he looked up at the rooftops.
He started to get up and shake the dust from his shoulders and long wings in the confined space of the alleyway.
"Damn pickpocketers."
-
Zaida didn't pay attention but only wanted to avoid the fire benders that were possibly here to get her.
The fire benders past the ally unaware of the four.
Zaida sighed and fixed her scarf then her leather gloves. He voice was completely back to normal, obvious she had faked her scared voice. "That was close" she whispered to herself.
-
"oi, what is going on?" I ask getting annoyed.
-
"Hm?" She said not paying attention. "I'm sorry, nothing I just" she stopped studying outside the ally. 'Good riddance' she thought. "We can continue, Forgive me for that"
-
I was fuming, growling. Taking a deep breath I calmed myself down.
-
Zaida looked at him and her ears lowered. "I'm sorry are you okay?" She asked softly her tail back in its up and down motion.
-
"I am fine, lets go." I said walking out of the ally way.
-
Zaida followed him and the grey wolf a bit behind, her eyes sharp and her ears listened to anything around her
-
Galen noticed the group. Apparently something was up with them.
"Hey you." he said to the sergal. "Any idea what's going on here? I saw some fire, but that's about it before i fell."
-
I looked behind only to see a guard with wings. I turn around and walk up to him.
-
Zaida furrowed her brow when she heard this and turned to him her glowing eyes studying the winged feline. "I saw what all of you saw, I have no clues what's happening" she lied.
-
Galen remembered back to his early days of metalbending training. While many other instructors believed that the best way to bend was by simply guessing at the earth content of a metal by intuition, which was quick but not overly efficient, his own humble teacher practiced another method using another source of knowledge about the earth and metal he was bending:vibration. From this, Galen learned the finer manipulation of earth and metal on a small scale, but it also came with another skill as a side effect. Vibrations travel, through the earth, through people, and as a result, so do their pulses. The deliberate pulse of a prideful worker, or the quick pulse of a mail runner. Or in this case, the fleeting pulse of a liar.
"You are lying." he said to the sergal with a slight look, before changing focus due to the present concerns.
Turning to the fox, he asked "I am sure you might be willing to contribute a bit of worthwhile information? What happened?"
The claws on his right hand twitched slightly in agitation.
-
-setcho
woke up, shivering in the cold. he had slept on the streets once again, unable to find a place to stay. He decided to stretch his legs and walk around the streets of the city, not knowing what to do or where to go.
-
Zaida huffed through her nose. 'Earth benders' she thought 'need to practice my lying if he can sense' she thought to herself before looking at chains to answer the winged lion.
-
"I have no idea what happened." I said.
-
"You people..." Galen said, shaking his head.
Turning to the sergal, he continued "I'm gonna go ahead and guess you have some information relating to the fires. I saw only horsetracks and burning. And you apparently know something about it that I don't. So unless you want to be taken into custody for obstruction of justice for a little while, I suggest you start talking a bit. I'm in a hurry, and somebody is going to face the law one way or another."
He readied his hand to quickly bend a steel cable if things went sour quickly.
-
"Hey, lay off!" I exclaim.
"If she doesn't know she doesn't know."
-
"I have nothing to tell you, we both saw what you saw. I prefer you leave us be, I've done nothing wrong and so far with them they haven't either. The fire benders just seem to be looking at Furries seemingly to be searching that's all I have" she said with a strong tone it wasn't a lie nor the full truth but she gave the answer he wanted. She held her head high and her hands behind her back while her tail swayed up and Down calmly.
-
"Firebenders huh." he said, noting the slight slip in the sergal's secrecy.
Noting the lack of an aggressive stance by the sergal, Galen suddenly changed to a much lighter mood, flattening his wings against his steel-plated back.
"Thanks you very much for you cooperation miss. I will make sure that the information you have provided is utilized."
Giving a slight pause, he added another quick inquiry directed at the sergal and fox.
"Your clothing suggests that you might be new around here. Rustic are maybe? I'd be glad to help you orient youselves around here." he said, gesturing towards the entirety of the bustling city visible from where they stood.
-
Zaida stayed silent her glowing eyes looked at the fox beside her. "Chains?" She asked not wanting to make the decision.
-
"I like my attire, don't really much care." I said turning to leave.
-
"Think you might have misunderstood me. I'd be willing to give you a small tour of the area, just to get your bearings. What you wear is not my concern. At least, as long as it abides by the decency laws." he added.
-
"Oh," i look to zaida.
-
"I don't mind" she said in her soothing voice with a small shrug.
-
"Sounds good to me." i said.
-
-setcho
walks down the street, always looking behind him making sure hes not followed.
-
"Great. Er.. give me a second."
Reaching over his shoulder to activate the radio communicator mounted above his right shoulder blade, he hastily told the nearby station about the hostile firebenders reported in the area, requesting an investigation. The small fuse of the device glowed a soft orange as it was activated.
He pointed the group down the main street, unpaved due to its current location in the lower-class district.
"Not sure what your living conditions are where you come from, but considering you don't exactly look like the uh... lower class, I'd think it's safe to assume you'd be able to reach the middle ring no problem. Follow me please."
He started off down the long road, almost starting to open his wings until remembering that his followers wren't capable of flight as well. In the distance, the short dividing wall between districts could be seen, an off-white contrasting with the brown and grey scenery of their current location.
Communicator reference, although much darker and angular, comprised entirely of steel with copper bolts.

-
'Middle ring? Never been like that... But it's for the best' Zaida thought keeping her head high and her paws folded behind her back as she follows the lion studying his appearance absorbing what advantages and disadvantages he might have but kept her mind on her lying, she need to be stealthy and no one could possibly find out, she did not want to go back to her father's kingdom.
-
Galen continued forward, followers in tow.
"The outer ring is normally meant for the general lower classman and refugees awaiting processing by our legal system." he added with his main attention diverted elsewhere.
As they neared the wall, he noticed a man jackal a metal cart nearby, one of the axles bent at an odd angle.
With a sharp gesture of his left hand, the axle creaked back into position, leaving the owner with a visible smile on his face.
"Always nice to show a bit of helpfulness" he thought.
The large steel doors stood before them within a few moments.
"State your designation and... oh. Galen. Who are these people you've brought along?" asked a guard from atop the massive stone walls.
"Just a few travelers looking to get into the middle ring. Not exactly lower-class, so I thought it would be best to address their orientation in person while I've got nothing else available." Galen responded to the guard. Apparently the man was someone he'd met before, but he couldn't remember exactly who.
"Well, go on ahead. Just rememebr, your people, your responsibility if they go off the walls."
The gates opened with a substantial creak, leaving the group to proceed unobstructed.
"Off we go I guess" added the lion.
-
As galen walked he could herea crash,
"My cabbages!" the shout fallowed
-
Zaida studied each building carefully and the walls, she didn't quite enjoy the walls but the earth kingdom was different and she had to adapt to this.
-
I catch up, a cabbage in one hand.
-
Zaida hated wearing the hood but she couldn't trust anyone for now she stayed calm and continued to follow the lion.
-
"So, what do you look like under that hood." I said reaching for it.
-

(Oops My post deleted :T )
Zaida held her hood on and quickly moved away from the fox. "Nothing" she sighed. "It's none of your concern I just like Weston my hood" she says in her soothing voice fixing her long scarf and hood and after fixed her gloves.
-
"You sure?" I asked pulling my hand away.
-
"Yes I'm positive..." She says softly, having herself a bit distance from them.
-
"I guess you can't trust me with my hood over my face as well" I said with a chuckle.
-
"I suppose" she replied to the fox with her light voice as she walked looking down at her boots.
-
The group finally made their way to a large fountain surrounded by massive roads which spoked outwards towards the various areas of the district. From the air, the neatly paved pathways formed what looked like a rudimentary lotus in the shaped of the main streets and smaller alleyways. Galen knew this from experience, flying (and occasionally crashing) in the area during his younger years.
"Here we are. The South Division of the middle ring."
Glancing at the various pathways, he noted a few, saying "That one there leads to the residential areas, over there is the marketplace.
Pointing to a road lined with multi-leveled building of tan and a dark emerald green, he added "That there's the inns and hotels. I think that might be useful for your group."
Looking towards the north, a large open area of grass could be seen, with a network of small streams crossed with dark wooden bridges and dotted with the occasional tree of varied species. The wind could be seen sweeping over the long grasses along the walkways in some places, resembling a sea of brown and green.
"That's the park over there. I'd watch out though, we've been having a few... issues... with thieves lately during the late hours. If you feel the need to contact the police, the nearest station is only a block away from here. I assure you, you cannot miss it."
-
((Check my first post I made some changes))
Zaida nods. "Oh this is not really a group, I stay alone" she says in her soothing but serious voice. "Neither do I have interests in a group" she said sounding a bit harsh. "I hope if that's fine, I just prefer it that way" she says politely to soften things. "And many thanks for leading us here I really do appreciate it"
-
"No problem." Galen responded, looking at the others behind the sergal.
"And thanks again for information relating to the recent firebender attacks. Honestly, I've got nothing against firebenders or people coming from the Fire Nation. But just like anywhere else, there's always the bad bunch. Or in this case, the nation itself is the problem, not the people as a whole.."
He conjured a small cloud of embers in his open palm, flowing with a certain vibrancy while maintaining a distinct pattern.
"You'd be suprised what you learn from years working in a smith's workplace. Picked it up from my boss actually. I'm honestly suprised I haven't immolated myself by now."
-
Zaida stayed silent studying every inch of the place she was stealthy and an amazing runner, she just looked for easy ways out and openings just in case in the future she looked at the lion. "Well that's good, I don't think it's the best way to go" she said "well I suppose I should get going... I have things to do" she said beginning her way to the hotel silently.
-
I walked following zaida into the hotel.
-
Galen headed into the nearby markets, looking to see if anything interesting might be going on today. His wings opened with a rustle, and soon the roofs of the neighborhood were several meters below him.
-
Zaida walked to the counter placing money down, and receiving a key. She turned to go to her room 111.
-
putting money down, I got my key, coincidentally my room was 114.
-
Zaida had walked in her room, it was fairly large having a king sized bed, it had a rest room containing two sinks and a large bathtub and lastly a dining area, Zaida sighed settings her items down and took her jacket off along with her scarf hanging them by the door. traveling herself as a young eighteen year old Sergal in a black vest suit, Shozoku pants with high boots, obviously by her attire showed she was somewhat wealthy. She then sighed. "Finally alone~" she sat down and huffed.
-
I went into my room, I was a decent room with a bed and a place to sit.
I went to my bed and laid down.
-
Zaida sighed closing all windows and locking her door. She got a bucket of water setting it down in the middle of the room she was in. She began to bend her body swaying along with her hands as her feet slid on the floor stepping over one another while she did. Oddly both of her elements glowed like her eyes, soon enough The water began to glow as she stayed calm breathing from her nose and her eyes closed, like a snake it emerged from the bucket flowing through the air following her left hand as her right created Aqua glowing fire. Both flowed through the air filleting her motion as she carefully manipulated the two elements, she began to softly hum the melody echoing possibly heard from many other rooms, however she didn't mind as long as she practiced and was alone in peace she was fine.
(( Nini whoever is up, see ya tomorrow try not to go post crazy ))
-
Galen flew through the night above the streets of the middle-ring districts, illuminated with the soft orange glow of lanterns intermingled with the pure white light of electric street lamps.
Swooping down to land on the second-story deck of his own house, the radio behind his right shoulder glowed, followed by a short chatter between nearby police forces.
Apparently someone else had arrested the thief that Galen had failed to apprehend. He was sure that he wouldn't hear the end of it for a week or so.
Folding in his wings, he bent the metal plates off his uniform and mounted them on a nearby rack. His radio, belt, and cable reels followed shortly after.
Changing into soft long-sleeved clothing of a simple grey coloration, he went back to the upper deck barefoot, looking out into the night and the streets still barely alive with the activity of nighttime industry. Flying up to the barely-slanted rooftop, he opened his palms outward to produce a small cloud of embers which flowed into the night air around him. Despite his earthbending heritage, the embers he had conjured still posessed a fluid vibrancy. Maybe it was from his love of flight, maybe it was from an underlying creative nature, or maybe it related to his altered bending methods as a whole. Either way, the small, silent swarm of glowing orange lights was a truly noteworthy spectacle. He finished his short display within a few minutes, dispelling the embers into the night sky, where they paled in conparison with the blaze of silver light coming from the stars above. Ending with a sweeping blaze directed upwards into the darkness, Galen jumped back down to the second story, heading out for the night to look for a new restaurant worth visiting.
(This went well. I look forward to seeing how it progresses. Good night, and good luck. Thanks to all who participated.)

"my services?, well i can erm do many things it really depends..." as he scratched the back of his neck nervously
-
Zaida carefully vended before freezing the water and fire stopped as she did, she took a deep breath holding them still before breathing out she then flipped giving a high mu Thai kick the fire spinning with her as she did as she moved her hands swiftly the water looking like a slithering snake. She did some moves practicing her water and fire bending carefully.
-
I walk out of my room and was going to see if I could find anyplace to find food for breakfast. stopping at Zaida's room, I knock.
-
Zaida stopped immediately, she silently moved about the fire growing intense she slammed both elements making it evaporate into steam, Zaida huffed a walked to the door. "Yes?"
-
"I was going down to town and wanted to know if you wanted anything to eat?" I asked moving away from the door a little.
-
She thought, besides she didn't know where she could eat. She then responded. "Yes I suppose" she grabbed her jacket pulling the hood over and grabbing her long scarf and wrapping it on her. She opened the door and walked out closing it behind her.
-
"You ready?" I asked after she had locked the door.
-
"Yes I am" she gave a soft bid to him as she fixed her leather gloves.
-
I chuckled, "a little to excesive for nice weather?" I asked turning to go.
-
" indeed it is" she says as she followed wondering where they were going.
-
"Okay," I say chuckling some more.
-
"Something funny?" She asks with a raised brow under her hood looking at the fox as her paws were folded behind her
-
"I just think all that is very unneeded," I said indicating to all her clothes.
-
She shook her head "well It's your opinion, I can wear whatever I please." She said looking straight ahead with her head high.
-
I laugh out loud,
"If I knew any better, they way you are acting would make me think you were royalty." I laugh.
-

"my services?, well i can erm do many things it really depends..." as he scratched the back of his neck nervously
*crest sighs* that is defiantly an answer. I think. *I think* can you fight?
-
"I guess it's my manners.." she thought to herself for a bit "so where will we be eating?" She asked him in her soothing calm voice.
((I keep changing my story, ugh for now it's a mystery))
-
I look around and spot a small restaurant,
"What about over there?" I ask pointing to it.
-
"Seems good to me" she says looking at the restaurant.
-
I walk up to the Restaurant looking for a place to sit.
-
"We can sit there" Zaida said finding a booth in the back sat down with her hands folded on the table.
-
I sit at the table with Zaida,
"So, why do you want to be alone?" I ask
-
"I enjoy it I guess" she shrugged looking at the menu. "It's quiet and peaceful, and you don't need to worry is all"
-
"I know the feeling," I chuckled.
"Yet, there something about being in a group that just feel right." I say looking over my own menu.
-
"Groups are good just depending who's in it" the waiter came up. "May I have cold green tea, miso soup, and tonkatsu please" she said softly to the earth bender waiter.
-
"I'll have noodles and tea please?" I asked the waiter.
"So it all depends on who it is huh?" I ask
-
"Yes you cannot have unworthy Furries willing to turn in you and stab your back when you are unaware." She says while digging in her pocket bringing coins out, seemingly to be gold, she only sat down two to pay for the orders, it would usually take ten or so silver to pay.
The waiter looked in awe and grabbed the coins and ran off to get their orders.
-
"Rich are we?" I asked in awe seeing the waiter pick up the two coins.
-
"Possibly" she says calmly as her tail swayed up and down.
the waiter had set their drinks down. "There you two go, the food will be done shortly."
-
"Thank you." I said taking my drink
"So what is a person like you doing here anyways?" I ask
-
"Long story" she said before pulling her scarf down slightly showing her snout just a bit, but the hoods shadow still castes over her face. She took a small sip of her tea. Her glowing eyes and the light flowing from them visible.
-
-setcho
yeah i can fight
*looking at his fists*
-
"I find it interesting that you have water and fire in your aura." I say looking at Zaida.
"But, maybe it's that scarf of yours."
-
"Maybe" she said. "Maybe I not, and yours says fire..." She says taking another sip..
-
"I didn't know about this person and she seemed like she was hiding something, I am going to figure it out one way or another."
I think to myself as I take a sip of my tea.
-
The waiter came with their food
Zaida grabbed her chopsticks beginning to eat her meal as she allowed the soup to cool down.
-
"So, how is your food?" I asked taking a bit from my noodle soap.
-
Zaida stayed silent still chewing her food until she swallowed. "It's fine." She said setting the chopsticks down and drinking some soup.
-
I pick my bowl up and take a drink.
"Well, this is a very lively chat we are having." I say putting the bowl down.
-
"Mhm" she said sipping her soup more and finally finishing the small miso soup. She grabbed her chop sticks before she went still and her ears moved about.
The door kicking open lukaoh walking in. "Now! I simply hate how you peasants don't listen!" He held a wanted poster of Zaida's face "this here is my sister, she is the fire nations princess, our treasure! Any furry that wants glorious fame bring her back alive to the fire nation, if you do however come empty handed you will be executed!" Lukaoh hung it on the wall. "Good luck to those who participate!" The blood red Sergal spat before him and his guards exit the restaurant.
Most continued to eat a bit shocked as a few stood leaving to start for the high bounty.
-
As Galen walked down one of the middle ring's many streets, he noticed a group of Fire Nation guards led by a red sergal. As the leader kicked in the door of a small restaurant, Galen quickened his pace. The sergal said something about execution, which was definitely enough to raise alarm in Galen's mind. As he came up to the guards, he made sure to confront them.
"What seems to be the problem?" he asked.
-
"I don't blame her for leaving." I said sipping my tea.
-
"The fire nation seemed to lost their princess, there in a search for her at the moment however unable to find her they are placing a bounty on her and those that take her back to their nation will receive the reward bit if they come to the nation without they will face execution...Seems it emperors son" The deer said watching them pass by.
The Sergal stood about six feet tall his head raised high as the guards escorted him onto his ship. The water benders around began moving the waves slowly but eventually drifting into sea.
Zaida stayed silent and continued to her meal silently thinking deeply but stayed calm making sure she did not draw attention.
-
"So, how much you think the bounty would be?" I ask Zaida finishing my soap.
-
"I don't know, the fire nation is rich. They would possibly put the bounty in a large range..." She said... "I've heard the fire nation take their words seriously."
-
"Interesting," I said putting down my empy tea cup and finishing my food.
-
Zaida finished hers staying awfully silent, she couldn't trust many Furries, anyone could be hunting for her so she must stay calm.
-
"Nah, can't trust the fire nation, really I would rather help the princess then take her back if you were to ask me." I said leaning back in my chair.
-
"Mhm" she said. "However it's awfully late I should get going, possibly need some rest" she said quietly.
-
"Fancy seeing you two again." said Galen as he approached the fox and sergal.
He was starting to have his suspicions about these two. First the confidentiality relating to the fires yesterday, now a Fire Nation official was kicking down doors in the middle ring of the city.
-
Zaida blood pumped regularly as she kept calm. "Indeed it is. Now I was just about to leave if you two don't mind" she said standing and fixing the scarf and brushing her Shozoku pants off, her clothing the same, clean, and always looking sharp. "It was lovely talking to you Mr.chains"
-
"Oh, sure." he said, before nodding to the red fox with a slight grin.
-
Zaida moved past the two being careful. She bowed her head at the owners that owned the restaurant for the lovely meal as she made her way outside. "What a hassle, always lukaoh involved" she huffs looking at the sky. 'I have to think of a new tactic. This place can forget about me or grow worse until capturing' she though to herself...
-
Galen sensed a large amount of anxiety in the sergal as she walked brisky towards the door.
"Wonder what she hiding." he thought.
He looked back at the door which has been kicked in, bending the hinges and locking mechanism back into their original form with a groan of steel.
-
Zaida pulled her hood down and her scarf to her neck and huffed smoke out as she walked down a empty street slowly with her hands in her pocket and her eyes closed while she was deep in thought
-
I leave the restaurant giving thanks to the owner. I went back to my room and trying to figure out where my target was.
-
Zaida made her way down the street and a quick turn into the ally she sat down watching a few feral cats play fight as she took a small cook from her pocket and took a small bite while sitting crisscross on the floor.
-
With a plane, I left my room and made my way to find where my target would be.
-
Galen had trailed the fox from a significant distance away, making sure to stay out of sight and using the vibrations of the earth to keep tabs on his location. The sergal had remained inactive for some time, but the fox was up to something now, and Galen hoped to find out in due time.
-
I stop and listen looking and seeing were she could be.
-
Zaida had walked out pulling her hood back on and scarf. Her tail swaying up and down. "Didn't ask for this chaos" she huffed now in the empty streets, walking to the empty town square She made her way over and sat down under a tree, sighing before she began to meditate taking deep breaths
-
*Chumani was in his house, swishing water in a ball*
-
Zaida huffed while being deep in thought while she meditated the light breeze blowing softly.
-
I walk into a deserted place, seeing only two people there.
-
Zaida had her eyes closed but her ears paid attention to anything around her as she meditated in the empty town square
-
I moved to the center and stood next to Zaida.
-
"Yes do you need anything...?" Zaida opened her eyes under her hood and her tail stayed still as she still faced forward and her eyes looked back at fox's shadow. "Chains" She said calmly.
-
"Oh, i didnt know it was you who was here." i said a little shocked.
-
"Well what do you want? I said I was leaving to be alone at the restaurant if you remember" she said a bit aggregated but kept her voice in a low calm and soothing tone as she spoke.
-
"I was going to meditate." i said before waliing and finding a spot to sit.
-
"I see" she said her eyes naturally glowing bright somewhat showing her face under the hood but wasn't bright enough for her to be recognizable, along with her scarf covering her neck to her snout.
-
"I closed my eyes and started to think. Trying to figure out where my target is.
-
Zaida huffed. "Alone" she mumbled and stood up "I'll be somewhere else if you need me" she said walked and right when she turned down the street away from them she pulled her hood off and tucked her scarf down to her neck and black or very dark Aqua smoke emerged from her nostrils as she grabbed a wanted poster burning it in her paws. "I have to think... Can't handle so many people especially those two that follow" she mumbled. "They are getting far too close"
-
"There is something wrong with taht woman and i intend on findong out." i thought.
"No, the bounty is more improtant."
-
Now alone She sighed and stood near a fountain bending carefully the water glowed like her eyes, beginning to lift from the fountain in sphere's in many sizes. She carefully swayed and the water swirled around her slowly beginning to steam and bubbled from heat, she carefully had a circle of Aqua fire to keep herself in a small simple area and to keep or practice her balance and steps.
-
Galen watched from the rooftops above, having reclaimed his armored uniform from his nearby home as the sergal and fox had their own conversation.
"Fire and water bender. Huh." he thought with a mix of suprise and interest, remaining in silence as he watched the intricate elemental display from above.
-
Zaida felt being watched her ears twitching, hating this feeling with a burning passion making her alarmed but continued to bend calmly, and carefully the spheres coming together slowly and the fire ringing around the long strand of water that swirled around the mixed bender some spheres still confining with the water strand that had rings of fire making it steam, she carefully listened... smelled the air hoping to find who was or if it was just her imagination being somewhat paranoid like it usually was in these times.
-
I get up, finally deciding to confont miss z. I follow zaida.
-
Zaida slide her foot stepping on over the other as she spun, stopping halfway the fire and water revolving faster around her as she swayed her tail and her hands keeping it balanced as it did.
-
I walked trying to go unnoticed, i saw water and fire spinning aroind a person. I started to get closer intreaged.
-
Zaida stopped and snarled her back facing the two. Doing a backflip in mid air upside down she shot her paws foreword and in a flash the large stand of water broke in two before charging towards them but before hitting they broke into steam covering the area to hide her.
-
I covered my eyes getting ready for a fight. My ears twitching listening for steps.
-
Galen jumped down to ground level. As he made a heavy impact with the earth, he thrust up spires of stone along several pathways, blocking any possible exits. He could feel the sergal's footsteps through through the vibrations she made in her haste.
He nodded to the fox, hoping for some cooperation, as he yelled into the mist.
"We know you are here. Why don't we discuss this like civil people?"
-
I growled a bit looking at the bird... lion... thing.
-
Zaida didn't walk on the floor but gradually stood lightly on water "I've talked many times and tried to avoid you both but you continue to follow, I can't trust any of you" she huffed but moved about so she cannot be heard in one place avoid to be revealed in the steam.
-
"Wait," i call as i hear a small splash.
-
"Considering the recent Fire Nation officials who stopped by, and your potential affiliation with the subject, I think this involves the Ba Sing Se police as well. Which means me. We can provide protection for refugees of the Fire Nation you know."
Galen noticed a lack of pulse or footsteps from the sergal. But she couldn't have possibly left the area. She might be quick, but she probably couldn't fly or airbend her way out of the courtyard.
-
*Chumani listens to the commotion he hears near the stream*
-
"I don't want your filthy help. Not from you, or any nation I want to be alone" she said the last word in a strong voice water splashing strongly to chains legs not harming him but only tripping, Zaida made water splashing around them making it harder to find her. "Land if you both try anything I won't think twice..." She hissed, the water stopped and she got in stance Aqua fire igniting in her paws.
-
Galen flee up into the air, casting a blast of heat downwards to evaporate the prevalent fog, exposing the water and fire wielding sergal at the far end of the courtyard.
Landing with a slight flutter, he dropped his arms down with force, and the earthen walls dropped as well, opening the streets in all directions.
"You want out? Fine. But if I find you in ashes, I will be able to say that I offered help and you refused."
His wings folded flat against his back, slightly twitching in tension.
-
I get up and ignite my paws with fire growling at zaida.
-
"I rather burn in ash knowing I fought rather than others helping me like I'm some weakling" she huffed. "And a whole nation just to help will just cause more chaos and I wouldn't want that" smoke escaped her nostrils and the edge of her mouth along with ash before baring her sharp teeth at chains showing no mercy.
-
My chains started Unraveling from my shoulders catching on fire. I grab the end while holding the point in the other.
-
Turning away from the sergal in resignation and looking over to the fox, Galen asked "So, what's your problem with her?"
-
I didn't listen, i just growled waiting for a move.
-
Galen looked once more at the sergal, and asked "Do you know this man?", pointing to the firebending fox growling beside him.
-
"Just met him this morning and he won't let me be, he's done nothing yet" she said with a huffed and standing tall.
-
"Nothing has happened yet." i growled, i didn't take kindly to furs that threatens me.
-
Galen stepped back a bit, waiting to see who might strike first in order to determine a proper course of action. Why fight two people when a proper resolution could be reached after letting them fight to exhaustion?
-
Zaida huffed. "Rude to threaten royalty, peasant" she huffed angrily at he fox.
-
"You attscked me first, I don't care if you are royalty." i growled louder.
-
Galen looked at the sergal with a raised eyebrow realizing exactly who she was.
"Uh... I think you should hold off on starting a fight with a member of a royal family."
-
"Attacked, your following me i was only defending. Foxes always stalking" she huffed "listen to your friend" She said soothingly her ears laid back pulling her hood down but the scarf fitted around her snout and neck flowing in the wind as she squinted to the fox
-
"Like i said before, i dont care who you are, i follow no one." i said not backing down.
-
"No one? You were following me, and now your lying? Oh how I hate lying Furries." She huffed not wanting to draw attention. "Your not worth my time fox" she huffed making water and fire collide creating steam. "Farewell peasant~" echoed off but now she was long gone.
-
I growled
"Cowered!" i exclaimed
-
Galen heated the air once again, burning the moisture from the air and leaving the fox and himself alone next to the intricately carved fountain.
"So... that went well." he said, feeling the vibrations of the sergal as she ran off in a hurry.
If she managed to stay incognito on her own, it would be for the best. However, that would be quite unlikely considering the determination of the fire nation soldiers present in the middle ring.
-
I huff and Put my chains away, I start heading back to the hotel.
-
"Conversation bunch aren't we." Galen said, walking to a pace alongside the fox, hoping for a response.
-
"Oh, stuff it." I said not really in the mood.
-
"Hey, I'm just trying to get things sorted out around here? What 's your business starting a fight with Fire Nation officials?" he asked.
-
"I wasn't the one who started the fight!" I exclaimed
-
Zaida huffed. "Great more problems, exactly what I wanted" she snorted smoke from her nose and walked down the empty streets tearing posters down if her.
-
"Ok then... I can understand that. So, I guess we were both following her for the same reason? I mean, Fire Nation guards come in, she goes out. Kinda weird right?" he asked with a lighthearted tone.
-
"and her attitude." I began, "royalty my but." I said with a growl.
-
Zaida stopped walked in a desert like area before looking at fire nation ships ahead. "No..." She turned around pulling her hood back on and sprinted pushing outwards to the water making waves trying to push them back but there was no use. She continued back to the city seeing Furries gathered around the scene that she made earlier. Zaida carefully watched knowing she was right under their noses.
-
"Loyalty? What does loyalty have to do with any of this?" Galen asked as he walked alongside the fox.
(I meant royalty.)
-
(The wonders of a mispelled word.)
"Well, I guess she has her own reasons for wanting to come to Ba Sing Se." responded Galen.
As he ended his short remark, his radio activated, glowing a soft orange from its compact electrical fuse box
"Fire nation warships arriving en masse. Prepare to assist if things get ugly." said an unidentifiable policeman controlling the broadcast.
"Hear that?" said Galen. "Warships."
He opened his wings in preparation for traveling to the outer edges of the Agrarian Zone, where the outer wall would be the first line of defense against any potential invasions.
(If any invasion is planned, will we be applying the canon layout of the city or discarding it in favor of something undecided/undefined?)
-
turning to the direction of the docks I look ready to run and assist if needed.
-
Zaida ran past crowds trying to run to the woods but notice a few ships were already on land as a few guards made there way over. She turned around staying in the crowd quiet and scared but kept calm.
Zardoff was on the largest ship standing at the edge, he was charcoal grey, standing 7 feet tall and he had a chiseled body but was covered in scars from many benders he fought and defeated calling it trophies and lastly wore heavy armor. Keeping his head high as the ship came to land. "So this is where you were hiding"
-
Galen took to the air, launching himself like a bolt from a crossbow with the assistance of an earthbent pillar jutting upwards in an instant. Making his way over the lower ring and towards the bay, he noticed a crowd of guards gathering along the edge of the outer walls.
Galen landed on one of the ivory colored observation posts and loked over the edge, noticing a figure running towards the woods several dozen meters away. "What is the Fire Nation up to this time?" he asked for all to hear.
-
-setcho
noticed the panicking crowd and quickly saw the incoming warships. he was hesitant at first but decided to see if he could help, for once.
he ran towards the wall.
-
The ships stopped at land. Zardoff summon jumped from the edge and slammed to the floor huffing smoke through his nose. "Hello~ sorry for coming here so sudden" he said in a deep voice. "But I believe my daughter was here, no?" He asked.
A tiger fire nation guard was at a fountain seemingly to have hot water, puddles outside the fountain and ashes.
"Yes that is her" he said. "GUARDS TRACK HER DOWN!" He yelled the command in a strong tone.
Zaida walked from the crowd staying calm she though someway to escape.
-
*Chumani looks down the empty streets*"And i thought this city was safe"
-
I run hopping to stop the fire nation.
"I can't let them attack this city." I thought to myself.
-
The Sergal had his hands folded behind her back. "Please do not panic I'm sure we will be quick and leave right after we take what's ours~" he says smiling with his sharp black teeth to the Furries crowded and scared. "If she's gone we'll be on our marry way back to sea"
Zaida ran down the empty streets huffing trying to find a place to hide.
-
Galen watched as the sergal ran amongst the crowd gathering at the main gate of the outer wall.
"She should have stayed in the safety of the middle ring." he thought.
He tracked her movements from his position among the guards atop the monumental ivory walls, readying a steel cable in case he was required to take immediate action.
If she was running from the Fire Nation, odds dictated that she opposed their ideals, which could mean the difference between a diplomacy in the future, and another Hundred Year War.
As he saw her run back to the safety of the streets now devoid of people, Galen flew upwards to keep an eye on her from above.
-
*he loooks at zaida, who seems to be running down the street*
-
(what is going on, I'm a little confused and where is everyone? :? )
-
Zaida slid down under a bridge slamming into its side it seemed to have an opening probably for the old gutters. She closed the old rusty door but it stayed just a crack open. She looked Down to see old dirty water flow through but one of these had to lead to the forest away from this madness, she sighed. "Better than nothing" she said jumping down and landing on the cement next to the flowing water and began to walk listening carefully, staying alarmed.
The guards broke in houses and buildings tossing things over in search for Zaida, Zardoff with a still face had his eyes carefully scan the earth nation.
-
"Hmm...shes in a hurry,but why?"*he starts following her*
-
I walk out of the croud.
"what are you doing here Zardoff?" I ask
-
(I'm in the air above Zaida, who is in the streets just past the outer wall, running to hide. Red is.... I dunno. Correct if I am wrong.)
-
"None of your concern peasant just sit down and let me do my job" he huffed looking down at the fox.
Zaida's eyes glowed brighter giving her vision in the dark and she sighed placing her paws in her pocket beginning down the water pipes.
-
"I don't think so Zardoff." I said folding my arms.
-
"None of your concern peasant just sit down and let me do my job" he huffed looking down at the fox.
Zaida's eyes glowed brighter giving her vision in the dark and she sighed placing her paws in her pocket beginning down the water pipes.
*He sighs*"I shouldn't stay in this city anyway"
-
Galen lost sight of the sergal as she went into the water system.
Stopping all forward motion, he decided to return to ground level and track her progress from there.
-
The Sergal leaned forward to meet his face with he fox's "listen because I will not repeat myself. It is none of your concern, now leave me be fox" he hissed blowing smoke in his face and standing straight.
Zaida had wandered down the gutter turning from tunnel to tunnel. She was about to pull her hood down but Heard some furry speaking and leaned against the wall right next to the comer waiting for whoever it was.
-
I growl, "I listen to no one, especially from the filthy fire nation."
-
"Look who's talking" he laughed. "Aren't you entertaining, small fox" he teased.
-
I growl louder, my hands smoking.
-
*Chumani walks down the pipe*"Hello?"
-
Zardoff watched him and smirked then snorted from his mouth before walking up to his ship to continue to watch over.
Zaida spun out getting behind the wolf talk wolf jumping and cupping over his mouth making him lean backwards to her level as she looked at his face with squinted eyes. "Now I'm going to remove my paw and your going to tell me why your following..." She moved her paw aside waiting for an answer.
-
"You should get your filthy kind out of here." I say to Zardoff.
-
"Because,i don't want to stay in a city with firebenders, and also because you are actually having the brain to escape and not cower like the People of this city are"
-
He simply ignored. "Words don't affect me..."
Zaida raised a brow under the hood "I see" she let him go keying him stand once more. "But I'm warning you if you do anything foolish-" she stopped realizing she sounded like her father she sighed. "Forgive me, I suppose you can follow..." She says. "Please don't do something that will doom us both at least" she says beginning to walk. "It's just not my day today..."
-
growing, I punch the air sending a fire ball at Zardoff.
-
Zardoff snarled and spun around throwing a kickback chains fireball making a larger fire ball with more speed hitting the floor right in front of chains. "Weakling" he finally boarded the ship not looking back the guards standing around the ship making sure nothing would interfere.
-
I jumped dodging the fireball, flinching at the heat.
"Coward!" I cried, "The lot of ya, cowards!"
-
*he follows her*"Maybe we can find Ostrich horses,i mean,i dont know any other safe city's"
-
Zardoff waved as the ship began to leave with others, some staying for the search.
Zaida huffed. "Maybe..." She pulled down her hood. "But I don't know if I'll be going to a city"
-
I walk away going into the woods. My hood over my face as I traveled.
-
"Atleast a abandoned town?"
-
"Abandon?" She looked at him. "Do you know any?" The Sergal said pulling her scarf down looking up at him with curious eyes.
-
"I know Tu Zin,thats south of here, and not that far"
-
She thought. And nods. "I guess if it's abandon they would bother searching" she mumbled to herself. Smiling for once a bit happy it could be her chance but she covered it with a serious expression looking at him "Would you possibly...Lead me?"
-
"no,i can lead, aslong as you dont kill me..."*he looks at her*
-
"As long as you don't then I shouldn't be a problem" she said bow her head lightly with respect hoping he would.
-
*he smiles and nods,*"but uh...we need transportation,we sont want to be as helpless as that cabbage merchant"*he chuckles*
-
"Heh agreed... But Transportation... Hmm I don't quite know where we can get mounts but we should decide once we get out, don't really enjoy staying in the gutters." She responded looking around with her glowing eyes.
-
"yeah, lets just start walking"*he turns*"maybe we can tame deer cats and ride them off into the sunset?"
-
"Deer cats? Hmm never seen those... Hope they are easy to tame" she says walking and turning down the right tunnel. Thinking 'maybe he doesn't know who I am nor what I bend, I'll have to trust him first...' She thought.
-
Galen walked along the streets directly above the sergal and wolf in a calm manner, feeling the vibrations of their activity in the waterways below.
-
"so,where are you from?"
-
Zaida thought. "I traveled a lot, I come from the far south I believe" she said as they walked.
-
"nice, now lets get out these tunnels"
-
Traveling, i heard my bounty had left ba sing se and left.
-
Zaida nods. "Yes... Over here" she jogged over to a opening showing the forest just outside of the city. "Come"
-
*he follows her and nods*"C'mo"
-
Zaida walked out pulling her hood down and sighing. "So what is the abandoned city like, any dangers?"
-
"no,but there probably wildlife"
-
"Wildlife is good, I'm well with nature" she says walking with the tall wolf. "If you don't mind asking what's your name?"
-
"Oh,my names chumani,i know it doesn't roll off the but i dont have a nickname"
-
"May name is Zaida... But you may call be Z." She thought for a nickname for him. "Hmm I'm not good at nicknames but...how about chi?" she asks.
-
"Thats good"*he smiles kindly as his left ear twitches*
-
"Hear something?" She asked as her ears moved about.
-
"nope,my ear is just itchy"*he scrathes his ear*"do you hear anything?"
-
Galen felt a slight change in the stance and pulse of the two refugees in the waterways below him.
"I wonder why that is." he thought silently, changing his pace to stay directly above the two.
-
Zaida nods. "Someone's been following us..." She whispers. "We have to get somewhere with water..."
-
"Oh?, think there might be a river near us"
-
"Alright that will be fine... We just need to stay calm to avoid him knowing we sense him.
-
As Galen walked away from the walls he called home, the radio behind his right shoulder flared to life, refracting a dim orange light off his sparse armor plating.
"Hey Galen, where are you?" asked a man, unidentifiable from the other lesser-known law enforcement.
"Just taking care of personal matters. I am fine." he responded.
-
((Me and red are out of town to let your know))
Zaida saw the river. "Finally... Now how far is this abandon town? If you know?" She asked.
-
"hmm...a kilometer or two"*he points at the distant cliff*
-
Zaida nods. "Let's go then, I'm eager to see this abandon town" she says.
-
I continue to wonder, truing to find my way around.
(Where is everyone?)
-
Rising high into the air with Ba Sing Se far below, Galen could see the two travelers exiting the subterranean network of the city. If there would be a point in history worth being a part of, it was this part. He made his swift descent towards them.
-
*he hears something, before looking behind him*
-
Zaida huffed not looking back to avoid who was following.
-
Galen landed in a cloud of dust and sand alongside the river, making his way towards the duo on foot. His wings were folded in a semi-relaxed manner, his carbonized steel plating glistening in the bright daylight.
-
"ah crap"*he looks at Galen*"Hey buddie!"
-
Looking with a friendly smile towards the wolf, Galen nodded and replied "Hello again. Apologies, but I do not remember your name well since last time we met... sorry about that."
-
Zaida had already disappeared behind the tree near the river luckily this part of the tree was dented in and had a small puddle of water. She stood under her ears laid back and listening gas she stood in the small puddle.
-
Galen stomped a foot into the sand with force. Bending the sand to his will, he compressed the particles into a much more consistent, more rigid structure, directed at the only possible hiding spots nearby: the edge of a small grove several meters away. With the ground underneath him now much easier to stand on, he looked back towards the wolf, asking "Has she always been this paranoid of people? She seems to be fine with you so far."
He bent a small amount of sand into the air above his right palm, slowly fluctuating its shape with a minor amusement. Galen hadn't seen sand within the city in a long time, let alone get a chance to bend it.
-
"its..uhh..because it doesnt look like im trying to kill her"
-
"Well, I guess there was a definite misunderstanding. I don't want you to consider me a hostile." said Galen, heating the floating sand into a glass crystal which glowed a faint yellow as it cooled.
-
I kept walking, I eventually came across an abandoned town.
"This place seems like a good place to rest." I told my self going to a building and sitting to meditate.
-
Zaida listened carefully bit felt like a coward, that feeling made her furious she was never a coward and didn't want to be labelled as one, she huffed walking over and standing somewhat next/behind the tall wolf, she looked at the lion aggravated pulling her hood down and huffed.
-
getting up, I walked outside. taking my chains I start to practice. First with my weapon, then my fire bending.
-
Coming to look at the sergal standing before him, he continued in a light tone.
"So... I am guessing you are heading for a more 'secure' place?"
He eyed the glass crystal he had just made befote stowing it in one of the many pockets of his uniform.
-
"Why do you care, it's none of your concern" she said hugging the wolf's arm peaking at the lion. "And why are you following me" she hissed looking at the wolf. "These are one of the Furries.. That have been creeping about, chi" she spoke softly seemingly to grow safer with the wolf.
-
*he starts to walk*"ill just take a different path, maybe find you a disquise"
-
"Good bye lion" she says before turning "No need for an disguise, I'm fine" she says catching up to the wolf.
-
"itsnot my fault if youre noticed"
-
"I know, I trust you anyways your like a guard, your tall, and strong right so your my..." She stayed silent before hoping on his back. "Guard... Or friends or partners, what ever you want." She says resting her head on his shoulder.
-
*he blushes*"thanks"
-
"Oh no problem chi, your trustworthy, and kind" she says kindly.
-
*he keeps carrying her*"you sure you dont want to diguise?,its not a excuse for me to knock out some one and loot them of their clothes"
-
"Absolutely unreasonable" he thought.
"They would bet their lives on their own fleeting luck, and even discard a guaranteed safety in the safest city on this earth."
He started a slow pace back to Ba Sing Se's ivory outer wall in the distance, looking back to see the two naive travelers, now seemingly a couple in a hurry, having a discussion of the way to the nearest ghost town, just barely visible in the direction they walked. In his frustration, Galen bent a coil of steel from a reel at his side. Heating the dark metal cable to an orange-white glow, he whipped it at a tree to his right, burning it in half in a flaring instant of his frustration.
"You will die for nothing but your own wishful thought!" he shouted back at them in a fleeting moment of anger and helplessness, before retracting his cooled steel cable with a click. He readied his wings for flight, the plates along his back sliding seamlessly in the process.
-
"No I do not need one, besides no one else besides those two Furries have seen me... We don't need the risk" Zaida's ears laid back at Galen. "What do you want hmm?!" she jumped of chi. "What?" she huffed now furious. "What do you want lion?! To help?" She growled. "And wishful thoughts, I have none! My life has been to survive and you are angry?" she huffed.
-
*he nods before looking at galen in the distance*
-
Galen looked back at the sergal, the air around his wings forming a mirage from the heat of his anger as he walked back to the duo.
"Do you even know what you would do once you reached your little safe haven of ruin? If you did not know, the city of Ba Sing Se has held off the Fire Nation forces not once, not twice, but three times! And the people of my city will do it once again!" he said, clenching his hand with conviction as he finished the sentence.
"I do not care if you have your little boyfriend along for the ride with you. Do you think you can hold off the might of you own nation, which has spent the last century and a half focusing on military perfection? If you see yourself as wanting to survive, I would seriously consider my offfer. I am sure that a bounty hunter would have you dead or alive soon enough, and as soon as you came across the soldiers of your own guard, your companion would be gone in a blaze of cinders as well! You can count on that. And it will be you who is responsible for your death as well as his, nobody else."
He readied to leave once again, the furious mirage around his wings bending the daylight like the ripples of the nearby river. His gaze went to the wolf, his eyes speaking of hopeful compliance and sadness in his last glance.
"Please... the world cannot have another war. A member of the Fire Nation's royal family could put everything right again. But only when they are alive."
-
*his ears lean back*
-
Zaida growled. "Three times is nothing. Many nations fought eachother many god damn times!"
"And he isn't my boyfriend!! And I never said I could fight them all off, but my strength, my power is more advanced as yours, your offer is pathetic!! And if I'm supposedly responsible for his life then you don't have to worry he won't be involved, hear that chi your free! Go ahead back in that pathetic earth nation city" Zaida walked past the wolf snarling and her ears laying back. deep down she was sadden, she huffed walking east avoiding the abandon city and Ba Sing Se, wiping her eyes. "I don't need anyone... I never did..."
-
*his ear lean back and he looks down at the ground*
-
Galen looked at the last chance of peace with the Fire Nation as she walked off to... to nowhere really. It was plains and sparse woods for a hundred kilometers in any direction.
He focused on the sergal, and could feel her pulse, one consisting of anger as well as partial worry.
Considering for a second whether capturing her would be best for her own safety, he quickly dispelled the idea, his gait directed towards the city once again.
Looking at the wolf, he said "This is what the dying spark of a hope for peace looks like Chumani."
-
*he nods and walks back into the city*
-
Walking through the front gate of the outer wall, he gave a curt greeting to the guards present, who then radioed in to notify the police force that he had returned.
Flying over the vast green and brown fields of the Agrarian Zone, followed by the Outer Ring, Galen returned to his home, more worried of the probable attacks by Fire Nation forces than anything else at this point. He pulled the glass crystal from the river out of his pants pocket, watching in mild interest at it refracted and focused the light of his main room's ceiling light.
-
Zaida found the best spot and set camp. She huffed and thought deeply sat down by the Aqua fire that slowly turned to fire's natural color. She thought while hiding her face between her knee's using her jacket as a blanket feeling foolish, lost, and useless unable what to do, but had Galen's idea in mind.
-
*he rests his head on a wall and huffs*"I messed up"
-
Bending the steel plates off of his uniform, Galen changed into more comfortable attire, once again consisting primarily of grey with minor knotwork along the cuffs. His wings folded with a slight ruffle as he sat atop the roof of his home in the Middle Ring, looking up at the blaze of stars, wondering all the while if that blaze in the night sky might soon be obscured by the ash and flames of war. He drew a small line of embers in the air around his palm, intrigued at his recent increase in affinity for fire and heat manipulation. His radio, sitting on his nightstand on the floor below, faintly chattered with the sounds of the night watchmen communicating throughout the city.
"Oh how far we have come" he thought, "and how far we might fall."
The embers in Galen's palm danced like petals in the wind, glowing a soft orange as they floated around him in a rippling ring of light.
-
'You don't need them, their pathetic... That lion doesn't need to be in my life I would love to see the fire nation destroy the earth benders' Zaida thought 'either way they will fall with defeat, my father knows no peace what is that coward planning? Either way it will make their nation fall' she huffed balancing fire and water combining them as they hissed with contact turning to obsidian. She thought looking at the black form it took. She huffed angrily before standing walking to the city, smoke escaping her nostrils and mouth.
-
I could hear footsteps, going to the entrince I can see a figure walking up.
-
*Chumani was leaning on a wall*
-
Zaida walks into town taking her jacket off, showing her wearing her Vest suit and shozoku pants with high boots trying to find the lion as she held a calm manner.
A few bounty hunters saw her and began to run to the prize having their guards up and ready to take her down. A bear, gecko, and rat. The best spoke. "Come on sweet heart hoe about you be good and just surrender so you can go back to your family eh?"
Furries from the earth nation surrounded looking at the scene curious, but afraid to enter the fight that Might occur
-
*he looks at the group*
-
Zaida spoke softly. "No thank you..." She began to walk past them. "Your waiting my time" she said.
The best roared. "Who do you think you are!" He stomped spikes from the floor charging to her.
Zaida jumped aside and turned around with her ears laid back. "Fine" she she bends softly moving her body calmly before water rose from the well, boiling hot she kicked the water hitting the bear.
The gecko hissed punching the air making the wind push Zaida back and the rat shot ice.
-
*he looks at the fighting before grabbing a plank*
-
I look up<
"guy leave her alone." I say to the bounty hunters.
-
The bear whimpering from the boiled water growled at chains "screw ourself shes mine! I want that money!" He roared charging.
Zaida blown back caught herself the gecko still using air to push her back.
Zaida huffed her paws engulfed in Aqua flames. "That's enough" she punched repeatedly, fire hitting the gecko into a restaurant before Zaida turned to the rat and spinning before she stopped her tail whipping the air having fire slash the rodent.
The bear had rock form on his fist and jumped to Zaida, but she turned around breathing fire at him like a dragon making him slam to the floor unconscious by the hit and was burning but Zaida quickly had water cover him to avoid killing. "That's enough...I didn't enjoy this weak match, and I don't look forward to killing...and had many chances to..." She said calmly before the huffing smoke through her nose and walking past the group that laid on the floor tired and injured.
-
with a punch I send a fire ball at the bear.
-
Zaida blocked it with ice. "I think that's enough you fool, killing is not the answer and don't get in my way, besides its my fight" the bear go up and threw boulders she blocked the Bears hit. "I don't like-" the gecko slashed her with a shard of ice and hissed, dammit vace help us!" The rat clapped his hands making high wind. "Get her already!"
-
I pull of my chains swinging it at the bounty hunters.
-
*chumani smashes the rat woth the frozen, spiked plank*
-
Zaida got the bear slamming him down and she blasted fire at the gecko. The bear slammed rocks down almost hitting random Furries Zaida quickly formed ice shards and hit them away.
The rat hissed making a whirl wind hitting chains and chumani. "Back off!!" He squeaked
-
I fly away hitting the wall of a building.
-
*he coats his paws in water before they turn into ice, chumani punches the rat with his solid ice fist*
-
The rat caught himself and used air to push him making him charge to the wolf.
Zaida was on the Bears back firing a rear naked choke having ice coat him but the gecko jumped in pushing her off as the bear was partially frozen. The gecko hissed and shot water towards Zaida but she shot fire back and yawned as it created steam, the gecko not paying attention was grabbed by water and quickly frozed. "Done..."
-
*he dodges the rat before grabbing a nearby plank and slamming it over his head*
-
The rat but his tongue and stumbled dizzily trying to hit the wolf but continued u missed. "Ugh" he fell over
Zaida froze him also. "That wasn't even a proper match... And they call themselves bounty hunters.." She said graver her jacket and tossing it onto her shoulder. "Even though I did not wish for help... Thank you" she said to the chumani and chains before turning to find the earth benders.
-
I get up, that is what i am here for princess." i say getting up.
-
"For what?" She turned with a raised brow. And tapped her foot waiting.
-
*Chumani starts to walk away*
-
"I am here on an personal assighnment to protect you." i say.
-
She sighs. "I think I have to accept do to the damned lion making me feel like a fool"
-
"How so?" i ask.
-
Galen woke to the distant sound of fighting. The boom of airbending, the roar of fire, the shatter of ice. However, as he looked out his bedroom window on the second story of his home, he saw no smoke. Perhaps it was simply a minor fight somewhere near. But here in the Middle Ring? It was quite odd to hear of public fights, especially ones involving firebending. Galen new only three firebenders, with himself being one. He had to see what was happening. Dressing into his uniform of medium grey, he bent his equipment towards him, his cable reels, armor plating, and radio clicking into place with a glint of polished steel. Stepping out onto his balcony, he unfurled his wings with an accompanying sound of steel-on-steel, and flew towards the sounds of discord, which had suddenyl ended. He contacted the nearest police force to request some enforcers be on standby, just in case something went wrong.
-
"Nothing, can we please just go" she says not taking her good off since many Furries were around. "We must hurry I don't enjoy the police getting in my business" she huffed beginning to walk away.
-
Galen looked down upon an intersection at the market district. Seeing the three from yesterday, as well as three more people laying on the street nearby, he held his position above them, waiting for a response or any further action.
-
*he starts to follow zaida*
-
Zaida snarled turn and looked up shooting fire in front of Galen as a warning. "Stop following" she looked at the wolf that was also. "If you both have something to say or do, then go ahead. I don't enjoy being followed I have enough of that..." She sighs stressfully with her ears leaned back and her eyes glowing under her hood.
-
"i dont want to live in this city with the obvious threat of invasion looming around this city, and besides, west is the safes route...not east like you where going, bandits camp around there"
-
Watching from high altitude as the group moved on, Galen notified local medics to deal with the three people left unmoving in the streets. He wondered, if the sergal was so content with remaining in solitude, why would she return? The police would have to deal with her if she was attacking civilians, or even the Special Forces if her status was discovered.
As he was in thought, a ball of flame flew past him at speed.
"What the hell is she doing? There are people around here, people who could definitely do without being burnt."
He dived towards the sergal, intent on receiving an explanation for her erratic actions. His steel cables were in hand as he landed about twenty meters behind the sergal.
-
"Thanks for your concern but I can handle bandits." she said before jumping onto the tree hanging by her tail looking at the lion. "Yes?" She hissed. "Probably came down because the fire shot, well news flash I don't enjoy Furries following me... I have enough of it if you haven't noticed" she huffed.
-
"If you continue to attack people recklessly, I will have no choice but to have local police and Special Forces take you into protective custody. You cannot just go around flinging fire at people! Who were those three that you left lying in the street anyways?" he asked in haste, frustrated with the immature behavior of a person in such a potential position of authority.
"Also, why did you come back if you don't want help? If it is solitude you want, I suggest you leave now."
-
"I know right she lets chains follow her but not me..even if she just dropped me off like nothing"
-
"It seems that eccentric behavior runs in the Fire Nation royal family." Galen said, glancing at the sergal hanging from a tree. Looking back at the wolf, he asked "I saw three people in the streets. What happened?"
-
"oh,they attacked her"
-
"I came back for your offer, and those pathetic men were bounty hunters threatening to take me back and I was defending" she hissed swinging before jumping to the next branch perched on top her tail swaying up and down while looking at the two. "Eccentric? Aren't you funny, and yes the wolf even repeated it, they attacked me. Was I suppose to stand there and let them hmm, damn feline"
-
"So, why did you run away?" I ask looking up at Zaida.
-
"Fine." he said, gritting his teeth.
Taking a moment to resume his train of thought, he said "We will be taking you to the Inner Ring. Normally, it takes an invitation from a resident, but considering your status, I think we will have no problem getting you in. If your Nation attacks, they would have to travel ten kilometers inwards and past three walls to get to you. The Special Forces can guard you from there. Don't worry, the entire Fire Nation Army wouldn't even get past the first wall. Never have, never will."
He looked up at the sergal, thinking to himself "This grinning prat is almost as bad as the mad Lord Azula from the history books."
-
*he sighs and fac*paws
-
"Oh trust me they will, and they had before" she jumped down. "I believe it's just not written down" she huffed. "And I didn't want protection for a reason, but You kept bothering me. So let it be" she looked at chains. "That's none of your concern so stop following me" she bowed. "And I'm just legting you Furries know, This is how you treated me so it's how I shall act" she said. "I was kind but you all pushed my limits..." She said walking away from them all to the middle ring obviously wanting to be ahead and alone at the moment and sighed 'I hate when I have to act, sound like my damned father again' she pulled her hood down running her head seemingly to be calmer and relaxed as she thought.
-
Whispering so only the fox and wolf could hear, Galen muttered "If she keeps it up I could have her moved to a guarded bunker. Safer, and soundproof for our own sake. Either of you think I should go with that?
The sergal's pulse gave away her false behavior, but Galen just went with it. Better to guard an actor than a screaming, maniacal firebender. Which could possibly happen at this rate.
-
*he follows zaida*
-
I was getting angry again.
"What is your problem!" I exclaim, "Why the hell are you... you know what never mind." I huff walking ahead of Zaida.
-
Zaida walked silently as she made her way to the middle as they followed, her ears laid back but didn't hear chains she was deep in thoughts not paying close attention unless it was danger.
-
Galen activated his radio, reaching out to the guards who manned the Inner Wall.
"Hey, Galen Ardet here. Bringing in a VIP and two friendlies."
"VIP? Who is he?"
"She is the Fire Lord's daughter. Don't like her, don't want her, but we need her, and we need her alive. The safety of the Inner Ring is our best hope of preservation."
"Sure thing, I'll run it by my Commander. Fire Lord's daughter huh? What's she like?"
"You heard of Lord Azula?"
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
The Inner Wall shone in an ivory light, several kilometers away. Safety would be guaranteed if they got there, unless the sergal somehow stepped outside the Inner Wall once she was in.
-
"Thanks... But what confuses me is you and that officer, I'll call him kia. You and Kia weren't alive when lord Azula and how do you know if the written history is true?" She states. "But since I know, I'm somewhat like her not fully the rest is just what you all deserve for following and bugging me since I've had a rough week..." She sighed. "But my reputation is low enough"
-
"Call him what you want, because I sure don't remember everyone's name around here. But yeah, I wasn't alive during the Hundred Year War. But my instructor was, and my employer, and my parents. So I am pretty sure that their word is considerably more reliable than yours." said Galen with a solid certainty.
"And please, keep yourself to yourself. Any wrongful actions or remarks and you might just end up in jail instead of the safety of an Inner Ring complex."
-
"I'm fine with being locked up, I've been locked up my whole life" she said. "And I don't get the point since being in the inner ring would basically be locked up away from 'danger' which might be my whole life" she said with a huff with slight aggravation.
-
"The fire nation is just a bunch of damn fools!" I say growling a little.
-
Galen flicked his index finger at the fox with a slight smile.
"See, he knows what I'm talking about. Anyways, we should be perfectly safe in the Inner Ring. If you get lucky, you might even enjoy it there. All of you. Because it will definitely be something different. I have always wanted to visit the Inner Ring myself, but as I said, invitation by a resident is required under normal circumstances. That, or the Earth King himself has to summon you. So that didn't happen of course."
-
Zaida had stayed silent walking to the inner ring ignoring them all. She just thought while humming a light tune.
-
*he watches from the top of the building before sighing*"man, now that i think of it that lions kind of a asshole"
-
Galen's ear twitched in the direction of the wolf ahead of him.
"Thanks." he said with noticable sarcasm.
Returning to a solemn tone, he added "I care less about your perception of me, and more about ensuring the safety and welbeing of all of you. Call me what you will, but please support your opinions with evidence in the future. Besides, it's probably gonna take a while to reach the Wall, so voice your disapprovals now. While we have the time to talk at least. Things might get a bit hectic as we enter the Inner Ring."
-
*he huffs before resting on the roof*
-
Zaida pulled her hood up as they grew closer seeing the inner wall far ahead 'hopefully this passes by fast...' She thought, her humming slowly faded
-
"Hey, relax if you can. I know it might be hard to grasp the concept, but you are going to be as safe as is possible in this city." he said with an attempt at a soothing tone.
-
"Yea I know I just don't enjoy being criticized along with my nation because it makes me feel ashamed of myself and my nation before me, lastly I just want to hurry and get the the inner wall and rest, Alone, in a quiet place" she says quiet and calmly.
-

-
((You had to ask in PM...))
-
(Oh i missed that, sorry.)
-
"Fair enough." he said. "If it's promptness you want, no problem. I've trained a good number of people in the police force. We will be in with little delay. Just... don't ignite anything. It would be an issue for us all."
The wall was getting nearer. It would be only a minute or two until they stood at the gate.
Galen reached back over his right shoulder, activating his communicator to prepare the watchmen to allow their entry. As he received an assurance of being allowed to enter, he picked a loose flight feather from his right wing, the normally brown tip singed a dark ashen black. He gave a sharp glance at Zaida.
-
"I'll try..." She said calmly, when he gave a look Zaida looked back calmly and shrugged. "I told you I didn't like Furries that followed don't take it personal..." She said simply as she held her studying the scars and tracing them lightly with her claw.
-
Neko was in her making new equipment that was ordered in by the local police when she heard some commotion outside. She quickly finished the sword she was making and went outside to check. A lot of furs were gathered around the bulletin and she overheard a conversation between two of them.
"Do you see that? They captured the forelords daughter." One said.
"Wait they're bringing her here?" Another said
"Of course, this is the safest place to keep her."
"Pfft i bet the fire nations pissed. That'll teach those fire benders."
Neko had to see the princess for herself, just to make sure this wasn't another lie by the government to boost morale. She quickly grabbed her warhammers and went to where the board said she would be coming in from.
-
As the group neared the colossal oak gates, Galen looked up and saw a guard peeking over the edge of the massive wall. He heard the sound of gusting wind at the top of the wall as the guard's head was once again hidden, followed by the rumble of the massive stone walls behind the gate shifting away. The gate itself followed next, sliding with a perfectly balanced weight back into the sides of the massive stone hall. At the far end of the hall stood two figures, about as tall as Galen, maybe a bit older and with dark brown hair.
They were reverse gryphons, lion above the waist, raptor legs and tail below. The most notable detail about them, however, was the lack of wings. They were the Ains brothers, and Galen knew this because he had trained them to be the best they could be, which is why they now wore the emblem and armor of the Royal Guard. He also knew that they were special in a different way: they were airbenders as well as earthbenders. In their push to be equal in freedom to their winged counterparts, they had developed the extremely rare trait, being equal if not better with their secondary element. Galen smiled as he shook hands with the old friends, promising to talk later after things were sorted out. With a blast of wind and a cloud of dust they were gone, atop the Inner Wall once again. The walls closed behind the group, and they were finally safe. Ahead stretched the emerald fields and towers of the Inner Ring, shining bright in the light of day.
"Here we are" said Galen, stretching his wings in the sun, the golden light shining off the small steel plates on his shoulders and chest.

Zaida didn't seemed impressed but simply walked wanting to be alone as she thought she was mixed with emotions but didn't have anything to do but hold them in, Zaida just walked ahead to the towers eager to be alone. She needed to think, meditate, and practice, that's what she mostly did huffing and closing her eyes as she walked her tail kept balance and her hearing and smell led her while she hummed a lullaby.
-
Neko had finally made it to the main gate area and as she rounded the corner she saw the group that was escorting the fire princess.
"So it wasn't a lie..." She said as she watched them enter. She also noticed that Galen was wearing armor she made which filled her with pride. Neko made armor for some of the most high ranking officers and guards in Ba Sing Seh which was why she could afford to live in the inner circle even though she was only a smith.
"Is she...humming?' Neko said quietly as Zaida walked by with her escort.
-
"Hey hold it Zaida. We can't just let you roam around the Inner Ring. We have some rules, and the one which is most important is getting you to the right place. In this case, that's next to the Royal Guard's complex."
Galen pointed down a stone bricked road to a series of green and silver buldings three stories in height.
"They will take proper care if you. Escorts, I mean. The rest will be done by your average employees and monitors. You'll have sentinels on standby throughout the night, just in case."
-
"Royal guards complex, but that's were i..." Neko's forge was very close to the royals guards complex. This could be her one chance to see what the fire lord's daughter was like. Casually she came up from behind the escort and followed but kept a safe distance.
-
"Then hurry I'd like to be alone" she said soothingly but in her eyes she was stress, and tired desperate to be away, her ears low and her fur on her neck slightly standing and she huffed a very dark Aqua smoke from her nose, following the lion. 'I'm feeling that feeling again... Someone's watching, following...' She thought her eyes darting about and her ears twitching and she sniffed.
Zardoff was on ship not far but not visible. "We need to sneak I know she's there, a good tactic shall be planned. I swear that child. Acting like this and running away won't make the nation love her as the future empress~ soon I'll get my lovely daughter back... She'll soon learn the consequences."
-
Taking note of Zaida's suspicions, he felt into the earth for any body which did not belong. It did not take very long to notice a person who had been following them. He waved to a group of three sentinels nearby, asking them to move with haste.
"The sergal is a VIP. Get her to the Royal Guard's complex. Now."
The guards nodded in understanding.
As they readied to depart, Galen turned to Zaida.
"Somebody is actually following us. Don't know if they are friend or foe, but these guards will take you to your building. You will find everything you need there." he said in a hurry.
He turned to see whoever might be following.
"Designate yourself!" he shouted down the smooth stone path. This far into the center of Ba Sing Se, hostiles were not likely to be present, but this close to safety, there were no risks worth taking.
-
"I know I have strong senses... If you didn't notice last time and before that" She mumbled as she followed the guards her ears laid down as she did she thought. 'Just like home, I should have ran deep into the woods and rotted away, better than being locked up like a prisoner again, But they are risking for me, although I don't have a good feeling... Enough...I'm fine I'll be fine' her tail moved up and down lightly and slowly, she followed into the complex which the guards had carefully led her in without a word but only following the command they were given. Zaida looked around as the guards led her through the building, she wondered where she would stay, would she be aloud out, she got a bit uneasy where she heard rules, her father mostly acted like a. Dictator than a emperor, Rules just always seemed bad to her.
-
The guards led Zaida to her room, which could be easily considered a place worth staying in as opposed to a cell. The green malachite floor was polished to a shine, stretching across the octagonal room and reflecting the sunlight, which emanated from a steel framed window, across the forest-engraved oak walls with a slight green tint. The round-edged octagonal table was fashioned from a seamless teal crystal, with legs of steel resembling the roots of an ancient tree and the tablecloth colored a deep emerald green, as was fitting of the Earth Kingdom. Crystals of a faint sky blue shone from their polished steel holders on the walls, and the bed, seperate in another small room, followed the style of the table, with legs of steel roots and sheets of deep emerald.
The guards left with barely a sound, leaving the sergal with the echo of the door's intricate mechanisms as it clicked shut.
-

"Designate yourself!" he shouted down the smooth stone path. This far into the center of Ba Sing Se, hostiles were not likely to be present, but this close to safety, there were no risks worth taking.
"Oh hello officer's, i'm Neko the local smith. I was just on my way home which seems to he the same way your going." Neko was a little nervice, after all the guards weren't usually this catious. However they were guarding the firelord's daughter.
-
Zaida sighed taking her jacket off, wearing her vest suit and shinobi shozoku pants with high leather boots, she hung her jacket up then fixed her leather gloves and walked in the middle of the room closing her eyes and taking careful deep breaths as she meditated. 'Finally alone' she thought. She stood in a puddle of glowing water surrounded by Aqua fire, light smoke filling the room as she concentrated.
-
Feeling the smith's pulse maintain a steady beat, Galen relaxed a bit, giving a short nod before continuing his walk in the direction of the main training fields for the various higher-ranked guard divisions.
-
Neko followed for a little while before going off into her forge to fill out the order.
-
Zaida thought deeply, luckily she learned more in the city, escape routes weak areas, for now she meditated before beginning to bend easily, training was daily and she wanted to keep it that way. As she bended Aqua fire and water carefully in her paws she looked out the window studying the soothing sky seeing the sun setting. She heard rumors of her being 'captured' but she knew the truth and that's all that mattered, the nations wouldn't have a chance capturing her knowing this from experience the rumors did make her get aggravated but The sun setting made the sky look orange and pink making it look like painting which released her stress, letting her relax and feel more comfortable where she was.
-
I got up and went to train.
-
Neko finishes the armor and and weapons she was making and begins pack them so she can deliever them to Royal Guards men.
-
Standing at the foot of the building of steel and green brick in which Zaida was residing, Galen decided to pay her a visit, maybe notify her that everything had gone fine following the short encounter. He opened his wings and flew up to the third floor where she was kept, landing in the deck just outside the large window of the room. Opening the door with barely a sound, he walked in.
-
However from running all her life she immediately stopped bending, somewhat her back facing him, her ears laid back, and her tail stopped, along with her nose twitching. "Yes?" She asked as the puddle still stayed in place with the fire surrounding it like a gate, her arms stopped bending only her fingers until both the Aqua fire and the water where in perfect spheres just over her paws.
-
"It seems our 'follower' was some wealthy smith who lives in the Inner Ring. No problem, just thought you'd want to know. How is everything so far?" he inquired, holding his hands behind his back as he folded his wings flat.
-
I walk up to Zaida,
"Whats going on?" I ask.
-
Looking with a sharp glance at the fox, Galen asked "How the did you get in here?".
His hand instinctlively went to pull a cable from his waist, stopping only a few centimeters from doing so.
-
"I could care less about a smith, as long as he or she or even it doesn't get close to find out I'll burn and drown if they are a threat ... Done it before without regrets and would do it again" She said soothingly with her eyes still closed. Hearing his question she sighed. "Same as always, it's... What's the word, Vapid, Jejune, ect." She hear the fox way before but didn't have concerns but did answer. "Oh we're Talking, fascinating isn't it?"
-
Neko, done packing the equipment neatly, carries it over to the Royal Guards Complex who ordered it in the first place.
-
"Talking is always a good thing." I say.
-
Groaning with a slight lapse in discipline after having to arrange the protection of a cold blooded member of royalty, Galen spoke in a deadened tone to the two, saying "Well, I'm gonna go speak with a few friends of mine. Don't kill anybody. Chains, if you are need to find your room, ask one of the guards around here. They have been informed of our presence."
Looking back at Zaida, he added "Feel free to step outside, just have respect for the people who put their lives on the line for the daughter of a nation they despise, and rightfully so."
He walked towards the balcony, his wings prepped for flight.
-
"Rightfully so eh?... Hmmp" she said looking at the fox. "May I have privacy now, also lion... Knock ahead of time I could have been bathing or dressing and it's rude to barge in..." She said in a snotty tone before smiling. "And scene. aren't I great at acting, sorry I was just messing with you two, but I beg you both to knock I don't enjoy barging because I could have been dressing and that would not end well..." She said politely "Please, and thank you" she said respectfully and continued to bend carefully as she hummed calmly. "And today I'll stop messing with you all, my apologies but I was just testing and trying to pick up your reactions and how they would respond In situations... But I see everyone's getting quite annoyed so that will be the end of it." She says in her calm soothing toned voice.
-
I walk out, not wanting to make Zaida angry.
-
Galen hopped off the edge of the dark oak, opening his wings to slow his fall.
He sighed, mumbling about the potential atrocities the sergal had committed in her past.
He flew towards the Inner Wall, partially to have a look at the city in its entirety, partially to catch up on lost time with the Royal Guards who manned the wall.
It was a nice day, good updrafts throughout the Inner Ring's airspace.
-
Zaida shrugged seeing they both left. "Obviously they didn't understand but very well" she stopped bending and closed the window to the balcony locking it, she then went to the door locking it when chains left. "But they should consider knocking..." She said lightly before she stopped in the middle of her room and began to bend oncemore making her final decision to stop toying with the Furries that were kind to assist her. She only acted like this due to rumors saying how cruel, rude, and foolish she was when she really was the opposite, she just didn't enjoy the rumors but sighed forgetting about them all and to act respectful to prove them wrong since this acting would get her no where but trouble.
-
I walk down and eventually find an empty room.
"This room looks nice enough to meditate in." I say entering and sitting down.
-
As she was bending she at least had done this for hours. Time to rest she dressed into a night gown hanging her now clean and damp clothing up on the balcony for tomorrow, she laid on the bed and murred under the blanket before quickly drifting to sleep keeping herself sharp if anyone happened to walk in as she rested.
It was the early morning Zaida already up and dressed standing on the balcony and watching the quite and still sleeping city.
-
Neko woke up and got dressed before heading out. She needed more coal for her furnace and as she passed by the fire princess estate, she saw her on the balcony.
-
Zaida eyes were closed as she thought to herself her tail swaying up and down as the city stayed quite, her word was her word and she was going to act herself not wanting to annoy the Furries.
-
I exited the building heading for the smiths.
-
Neko had stopped in her tracks to look at her. She didn't look as bad as furs said she was.
-
I pass the balcony where Zaida was, and see the girl looking up.
"Hey," I say getting her attention.
-
Zaida's tail stopped and her ears went forward, she opened her eyes lightly making the Aqua light flow from her eyes that had no pupils, one of her brows raising at the smith curiously then saw chains walk in.
-
"...huh...oh! I spaced off for a moment. I should return to my forge." Neko rushed back to her forge, forgetting about the coal.
-
I followed Neko to the forge, hoping that I hadn't lost her.
-
"Crap i forgot the coal." Neko was about to head out again when she bumped into chains.
-
Zaida watched the two walk off before slowly gazing at the rising sun calmly sighing listening carefully. 'Smith, most likely. Who else would need coal' she thought.
-
As Galen woke up to find himself on a lone bed in an ivory stone room, he took a second to remember where he was. Looking around the small utilitarian room, he remembered that he was on the Inner Wall. Walking outside to see several sentinels patrolling, as well as the occasional Royal Guardsman, he went back inside to collect his armor plating and equipment. As his hand neared the steel doorknob, the door opened by itself to reveal one of the Ains brothers, clad in armor similar to that of Galen if only a bit more heavily plated around the back and arms. If he recalled correctly, this one was Devan, but who could be sure when the two looked almost exactly alike?
"Leaving?" asked the reverse gryphon.
"Yeah. Probably going to go check up on 'her majesty' and make sure she hasn't liquified anybody in the night." Galen responded.
"Well, good luck with that. Stay safe Galen." Devan said.
"Thanks."
Stepping out onto the raised edge of the wall overlooking the Inner Ring, Galen opened his wings once again, feeling the push and pull of the winds at this high of an altitude.
He set off in the direction of the Royal Guard's complex. The morning sun was almost blinding, but the light it cast on the polished exteriors of the nation's Capitol was truly breathtaking by anybody's standard.
-
Zaida kept her eyes closed, her ears twitching from any slight noise, she just let the soft wind blow on her fur and hair as she hummed lightly trying to relax, her tail grabbing the blanket thrown into her. She huffed and her ears laid back as she took deep breaths
-
As he neared the building holding the Fire Lord's daughter, he saw her standing alone on the balcony outside her room. Swooping down to land beside her, he made an attempt at causing as light of an impact as possible. Looking at her with a raised eyebrow and a neutral expression, he said "I assume your night went without difficulty?"
-
As soon as he landed she scooted aside and fixed the blanket in her still her eyes closed holding her calm expression "Yes..." She said soothingly. "Why do you ask?" She said quietly with her tail that stopped when he arrived but once comfortable again it continued to sway up and down.
-
"I could tell you that I came here to avoid being hung over the edge of the wall in my sleep as a joke by the Ains brothers. I could tell you that I came here to make sure you hadn't killed someone. And while both those reasons are true... especially the former... I just felt like checking up on you to make sure everything was going fine. Wouldn't want a repeat of past experiences right?"
He looked into the distance, seeing the very tips of the trees used in metalbending maneuver training. "Interesting", he said. "They have the training forests here as well. Guess space really isn't a concern, even if it is the Inner Ring". He remembered the sheer size of Ba Sing Se. When the city covered a good portion of the continent, space would rarely be a concern.
-
she sighed under her breathe quietly where it wasn't heard but did know it was deserved to be said she did do such things in the past along with her family it was in their blood, watching the city her pulse staying the same but she did grow a bit frustrated with the lack of trust but she did grow with a Cruel nation and that's how it was going to be. She thought deeply but pushed the visions away the thoughts not wanting to replay her past, she looked at the bending especially at the guards it wasn't the best nor the worst but what was good for their nation at least it just didn't quite surprise or fascinate her but she kept it to herself and ignored the beings down on the floor and looked at the clean white clouds traveling smoothly through the sky looking like cotton or fluffy sheep..
-
Noticing a lack of response, Galen said "I think I might head over to the training forests. It's only two or three square kilometers, but I could see it being interesting to watch how they teach most of the Royal Guard recruits around here."
He readied his wings for flight, doing his best to avoid giving the sergal a face full of feathers as he did so in the confined space.
-
'Isn't that a waste of time' she thought looking over to the tree's were they were before his left wing just barley got in her face making her sneeze, she moved to the side until he flew off before standing up straight watching the lion sore to the guards she huffed and stayed there on the balcony just watching everything.
Zardoff moved the small ships across the map with a chuckle. "That's all, but do to the earth benders the nation is like a maze.."
-
Coming to the edged of the systematically wooded area, Galen landed with a thud against the dirt and turf. Making his way inwards a dozen meters, he looked up to see the observation post. Maybe to could get a glimpse of some activity from up there. Bending a cable from the reel at his side, he barbed the end with a flick before shooting it at a neighboring tree. Pulling himself upwards at speed, he pushed off from the dense bark of the conifer, he landed on the wooden deck of the small structure, standing alongside a few other instructors and officers. Fifty meters out, he saw a lynx, dressed in the light sentinel armor of the Royal Guard, sparring with what looked like a red wolf wearing the heavier armor of the Inner Ring's more common public enforcers, who stood twenty meters away.
As he watched, the wolf drew his arm upwards in an uppercut, sending a thin wave of stone protrusions towards the lynx, who embedded a cable several meters up the truck of a nearby tree. Pulling himself forward at speed, the lynx pulled a fist-sized stone from the ground, kicking it towards the wolf before landing with a roll. The stone, audible as it flew towards the wolf, impacted with his right shoulder to know him to the ground with the sound of shattering rock and dented steel. As he jumped to a standing position again, he launched a stone half a meter in diameter at the lynx, who was gone in an instant with the crack of a cable and a blur of grey armor and tan fur.
As this continued, he heard an instructor to his right mutter "Looks like the standard enforcer training needs a bit of an overhaul."
The wolf searched his surrounding, his ears suddenly pricked upwards at the sound of someone approaching from his left side. Digging his armored foot into the ground with force, he rose a large pillar of firm earth into the air just as the lynx roundhouse-kicked a boulder towards him. The wolf launched the lower half of the pillar at the lynx which missed, but the upper half that followed impacted with the thud of compressed dirt.
The instructor beside Galen, who now wore a slight smile, added "Or... not."
-
(what I miss?)
-
(In the Inner Ring, and Talia joined as a wealthy smith living in the Inner Ring, minor conversation, Fire Nation prepping attack at sea unknown to anybody. I am currently observing metalbending training in a cultivated forest within the IR.)
-
walking back to the palace having lost Neko, I walk up to Zaida's door and knock.
-
"Yes?" She held a raised brow looking at the door that chains was behind.
-
"Can ee talk?" i ask
-
"Yes" she said as she was sitting on the table with a
Small glass of water. "Come in" she said in a calm soothing tone.
-
I opened the door and entered closing it behind me.
"So, a princess?" i ask sitting at one of the chairs.
-
"Yes why do you ask?" she said as she moved her hands side to side having a small orb of fire in the water.
-
"Hm, no reason." i say
"So, why did you run away?" i ask
-
"I would like to keep that to myself...." She said quietly as she continued to bend.
-
"Hm, alright."
-
Zaida rested her head and huffed as the fire ball floated around the water
-
"You're really good at that." i say watching her bend.
-
"Not really how I bend, just keeping myself occupied, but thank you" she says
-
His eyes suddenly widening, Galen shot a cable into the trees closest to the edge of the forest. Launching himself like a stone from a slingshot into the air, he flew back to the Royal Guard's complex at speed. He had a question that needed an answer.
-
Zaida stopped messing with the glass and went to the halcony closing the doors behind here as she began to bend but more aggressively fire swirling around her like a serpent it's Aqua glowing brightening the area water than began to swirl also dodging the fire easily with zaida's precise and calm bending.
-
I went back to my room to sleep.
-
The stars that filled the windy night sky provided more than enough light for Galen's well-focused eyesight. Looking over to the Royal Guard's complex, he saw Zaida bending in her room, the cool blue of the flame illuminating the windowsill as he approached. Just as he readied to land, a particularly strong gust knocked him off course, dropping his altitude a good three meters before he could stabilize. Snapping a steel cable upwards to catch onto the balcony, he berated himself for letting an air current get the best of him. Pulling himself upwards with the dull buzz of the cable's reel, he knocked on the window as he peered inside, his glance giving off an air of stern urgency.
(Let's see if we can pull this RP out of its grave.)
-
The hybrid combined the water and fire making steam since the winged lion presence made her curious. "Yes?" she said the steam making her invisible but her glowing sea green eyes revealed herself.
-
Walking in through the balcony's door, Galen asked "You are pretty high up in the Nation's chain of command correct? What do you know about your brother's intentions with Ba Sing Se? Any chance of a full-scale invasion?"
-
"I don't know my brother always had tricks up his sleeves it's a fifty fifty chance, all I know is that my father favors him... Reason my brother would do anything to please Zardoff" she said
-
"Great, that helps so much with my sense of certainty" said Galen sarcastically.
"If it is really that likely, I will have to make the King and his council aware of the fact, if they haven't figured it out on their own by now."
With a pause and a glance at nothing in particular, he added "Maybe we should spar sometime. The only time I have gotten the chance to see your combat bending was when you singed me with a fireball a few days ago."
His right wing still smelled of ash since then. Hopefully he might get the chance to wash it out tonight.
-
"I'll think through the night if I possibly remember anything" she said in a calm voice before nodding to him wanting to spar.
-
"Great. I look forward to it. I guess I will be seeing you sometime." he said with a slight smile.
Turning towards the door, he halted, almost forgetting what he'd meant to do earlier that day.
He undid the clasp on the light steel-plated sash which hung over his shoulder and removed the assembly, including the radio which was attached to it, barely bigger than his fist in diameter.
Holding it out towards the sergal, he did one last check to make sure it was in working order, inspecting the angular steel casing on the small device and the small fuse embedded within, which glowed a bright orange as power cycled through it.
"You should take this. If anything happens, it's been tuned to my personal frequency, as well as having the capability to broadcast to nearby enforcers if you need help. Just a precautionary measure, you could say."
-
She looked at it similar to some in the fire kingdom but she never had used one, taking it carefully she nods. "I see, I'll be sure to if anything does happen" she said studying it before putting her paw out for a handshake and sighing with her ears leaned back. "I also wanted to let you know that my full name is Zaida since I believe I haven't told anyone yet, just do not bring it up no one can be trusted that easily and lastly an apology for acting like I was earlier and the days before, I just do not think its respectful that rumors were spreaded and made me act a bit snotty which was foolish" she said her tail lightly swaying up and down slowly
-
Returning the gesture, Galen gave her hand a decent shake.
"I was hoping you weren't insa...er... actually like that. But anyways, nice to finally have a formal introduction, Princess Zaida. I guess I'll be off to my own bed now.I wish you a good night. Of course, I don't think that'll be much of a task will it?" he said, looking over at her emerald-hued room, suprising him in the intricacy of a room in this particular building.
Opening the door with an attempt at keeping the wind out as much as possible, he stepped outside and descended to ground level with the use of his cables. Flying in this weather would probably leave him with a broken wing or leg if he tried.
-
Zaida nodded as he left and closed her doors and the balcony windows before undressing and getting dressed in her silk tunic and resting down on the bed the candles going out and her eyes slowly closed, the hybrid drifting off in her sleep murring lightly already dreaming.
-
Galen arrived at his room in the nearby Enforcer complex. Stepping into the room for the first time, he noticed that it looked shockingly similar to Zaida's own room.
"I guess it's not just the Royal Guardsman who have it this good." he thought.
He spent nearly hald an hour showering the ash out of his wings, before finally walking toward his bed.
Watching the faint pulse of the white crystals mounted on the walls of the emerald room, he removed him armor and cables, changing into the grey nightclothes from his wardrobe, apparently modified to fit his wings. He noticed the geometric design sewn into the cuffs just as he flipped a switch, ending the voltage to the crystals and casting darkness over his room.

Name: Lenore
Gender: Male
Species: Mouse
Build: Tall, Slim
Skill: Master swordsman (non-bender)
Opening:
The small earth kingdom village of Nippon is a peaceful place and always has been. During the Hundred-Year-War it was a final stronghold against the Fire-Nation. And now during their latest assault on the furries of the world, it has taken up that position again.
The people who long ago founded the village, were master swordsmen. Their skills were legendary, from slicing boulders to deflecting a flurry of arrows with one blade. The founders passed on their skills with the creation of Nippon village. The way of the sword has been taught to its residents for as long as it has stood. Lenore is one of Nippon's residents, he grew up learning the way of the sword, and is today a master at the age of 26.
-
(As a note, this RP centers around Ba Sing Se, currently in the Inner Ring, which is reserved for political assets, royalty, and other notable officials and enforcers.)
-
Lenore is on the train to Ba Sing Se, he is going straight to the palace on official business, to deliver a Nippon forged sword to the king. Nippon swords are known for their extreme sharpness and durability, the delivering of such a priceless treasure can only be entrusted to a Nippon master himself, carrying his own sword in a holster around his back, Lenore waits for the train to reach the inner wall, where it will then stop at the king's doorstep.
-
Galen woke with a start, realizing just how late he had slept in today. Considering that there was no commotion to be heard in the building, he relaxed slightly as he addressed the current situation, or lack thereof. Dressing into the light grey of his uniform, he walked over to his armor- light steel that offered medium protection, while sectioned into plates about eight centimeters in width and twelve in length to allow freedom in flight. Bending the plates to form a cohesive unit on his body, he flexed his wings to ensure a proper fit; after his last equipment malfunction, he had no intentions of getting his back sliced from improper plate assembly.
Stepping out of his room in the enforcer complex, Galen started towards the stairwell, looking to replace the radio and sash he had given to the princess the night before. Looking out a window in one of the many corridors on his floor, he noticed that there was no wind howling, or any air currents at all now. Making a decision to take the quicker way down to ground level, he headed to the nearest observation opening on his level, and promptly jumped off the edge of the railing. As he halted his controlled descent with a few flaps of his wings, he walked through the front door, heading towards the armory division of the building.
-
The train is slowing down, the passengers stand up, Lenore is anxious, this is the first time he's ever left home and he is realizing why. This place is so much different from Nippon, with tall buildings and machinery. Lenore has never seen so many humans before, they look so... hostile. He steps off the train and is now at the foot of the enormous palace.
