Simply a click, a horse came to her side and licked her neck softly making a neigh.
She kissed it's cheek. "Yes I know, I know. I will darling~"
-
*Ace's tail hisses and wraps on a stick before it throws it into the distance*"Hmm...where will that go?"
-
I walked around looking for such a place to stay.
"Where am I any ways?" I ask with my Irish accent.
-
A stick landing in front of It, the horse jumped sillily before trotting over and picking it up.
"Salut" Zaida says in French putting a paw out. "What's that? Give it" she said
The horse trotted over spitting in her hand wearing leather gloves.
She looked at the stick. "Oh?"
-
A portal of sorts opened up, and a small raccoon, no more than two feet tall, popped out. He rolled along the grass for a few feet, before popping upright. Ray rubbed the back of his head, and looked about. "So this is what the elders were on about, huh?"
-
I walked things singing from my heat. I stop and see a portal open up and some small creature fall from it. I walk up to it and look down.
-
Zaida tossed the stick up and down before tossing it away and clicked.
The horse with a fancy clipped style neighed lightly and followed its owner
Zaida hearing the voices she shrugged and blocked them away listening to the noises near her but didn't want to go travel in the woods but to discover this new town she had found.
-
Ray looked up, and spoke. "H-Hello..."

Zaida laid on her horse that had fancy clipped style fur. She hummed as she did, causing curious and questioning stares of the Furries in the town. Some children petting the horse the gladly licked their paws and huffed softly with a greeting.
-
*Tulip spotted the horse and smiled soflty at it. She went up to the horse and pet it a tiny bit. She spoke quite audibly, her voice soft* Tulip: Very lovely horse you have, mrs...

The extremely large horse about 8ft on all fours it was clean, the short fur soft like clouds, lightly licked her Palm in return.
"Miss... Miss.Z would be fine. I have other nicknames, I'm sure those don't matter~" she said her hood covering her face only letting her glowing eyes have a trail of light flow, sitting up, grabbing her paw, coldness flowed through her body as Zaida gave the furry a firm shake.

Ray blinked. "I-It's how my people get to other planes of e-existence..?" Ray had been told by his predecessor that some of the inhabitants of this realm were particularly hostile.

(I'm gonna put this here, won't be starting off till tomorrow due to the impending threat of finals and the like.)
Name: Galen Mikhael Fowler
Nickname: The Hollow Redeemer
Species: Heraldic Winged Lion
Ethnicity: Caucasian, faint hint of unidentifiable European ancestry
Age: 19
Height: 5'11"
Stature: Anthro
Appearance: Typically human, very rarely otherwise
Species Heritage: Winged lions have stood as symbols of honor and bravery for centuries, taking the role of a heraldic species for just as long in much of Europe. A notable example of symbolic significance is Saint Mark of the first century C.E., represented by a winged lion.
Abilities: Minor redirection of thermal and kinetic energy, reduction of effective mass when taking a form other than full-human, limited shapeshifting.
Likes: The strum of a nice guitar, the smooth tone of a clarinet or saxophone, a nice book, the path of innovation, an accurate firearm, the smooth finish of blued steel, and peace.
Dislikes: Injustice, bad music, bad quality weapons, crooked cops, discord, drunkards, self-righteous prats.
Personality: Varied, sometimes being calm and decisive, other times being vibrant and energetic. Intelligent, if sometimes a bit cold.
Attire: Rough workman's clothing during working hours, otherwise wearing a simple coat and grey slacks. A simple leather holster at his side with varied models of handguns, and a dark-grey, medium thickness forged steel chain around his neck, holding a bronze medallion an inch in diameter depicting a winged lion on its face.
Story: Having grown up during the days of the recent great war with Germany, Galen Fowler had always wanted to go into history as one of the greater parts in the military mechanism. However, as he grew up, he realized that the way forward into ensuring the security of the people was not through blunt force alone, but also precision and innovation. Seeing this, he spent his years learning the art of gunsmithing, eventually opening his own shop in the heart of SF just a few months ago. After introducing weapons considered remarkable in their reliability and accuracy, he was contracted to provide arms to the SFPD, ensuring an equal footing against the rising power of the multitude of organized gangs. Discovering his non-human heritage only 2 years ago, he is still looking for answers, all the while hiding his identity from the almost all-human police force of San Francisco. Considering the way most people treated others based on a difference in skin color, Fowler could only guess as to what they might do if they found out that he wasn't even part of the same species. A business must thrive, and thriving under the threat of descrimination is the last thing that would happen until some changes came along. Eager to ease the strain on the guardians of order in an ever changing world, Galen has sometimes helped in the active busts of a few gangsters when he felt that normal policemen just would not suffice.

Zaida lets go and taps It's shoulders the horse trotting away from the small children being extra careful to my step nor hit any of them. "I know~ shush you all are being awful~" Zaida said in a whisper seemingly to be talking to herself.
-
*Tulip tilted her head at Zaida, a bit confused, but remembered her manners, tilting her head back to it's original straightness* Tulip: O-Ok... Ms Z. Where did you get such a nice horsey?
-
The multiple voices grew louder in her head before complete silent. "Well we found eachother when we were little~" she responded petting his straight and short Mohawk mane. ((G'night try not to post too much))
-
*Ragekid still being on a walk, went into a dark side street. There was a criminal, threatening other civilian with pistol, robbing him. Ragekid walked up to him, the criminal saw it and began aiming and threatening Ragekid. Ragekid was staring at him and after a moment the criminal put his pistol to his head and shot, suiciding. After that Ragekid returned to walking, acting like nothing happened*

(I'll be off as well. One last addition I guess.)
Making his way home after a long day of prototyping and discussing armed transport protocol with the Deputy Commisioner, Galen carried his briefcase of papers in one hand, drumming a short beat on the side of his leg with the other. Walking down the uniform concrete sidewalk towards his respectably-sized house a few blocks away, he noticed a small group of what looked like drunks staggering their way in his direction. "Some people" he muttered, hoping to prevent any potential interaction with the undesirables of the night. As they neared closer, one staggered towards him slightly. "Aren't you the successful businessman, huh?" he said, reeking of bad alchohol and who knew what else. "Bet you got yourself quite the life huh big man?" he continued, starting to walk very close behind Galen. As this came to his attention, he pulled away the left side of his coat, using one hand to quickly draw a Burgess folding shotgun, engraved with sweeping recessed lines in his off-hours and gleaming in the light of the street lamps. The gun snapped together with a sharp click, which was apparently more than enough to quickly send the drunk men along on their not-so-merry way. Folding the gun back into it's waist holster, he sighed and continued home, walking into his own silent house and preparing for the night, quickly feeling the weight of exhaustion resulting from another day's hard work.
-
"Hm, Interesting." I said looking up at the sky.
"Such odd technology."
-
Ray furrowed his brow. "Technology? I don't...understand."
-
Zaida kissed the top of the horses head. "Isn't that right"
The horse neighed softly back and nudged her. "Onward we
Must find some type of shelter darling~" she said petting the horse.
-
I look back down.
"Nothing, just talking to myself." I said stepping over the small racoon.
-
Ray yelped, and curled up, hoping he wouldn't be stepped on.
-
I stepped over him, going on my way to town. I started whistling a little tune to my self.
-
Ray uncurled, and floated behind Chains, level with his head.
-
"So you plane to come with me?" I ask looking at the racoon.
(We switched roles, hahahaha,)
-
Ray shrugged, lowering to shoulder height with Chains. "I-I guess...y-you seem to know where your going."
-
"I guess that is true." I say
"So, where do you come from? that portal tells me you are not from around here."
-
Ray nodded. "The place where the sun neither sets nor rises. The Twilight, to be precise."
-
"Oh, Never heard of that place." I say looking at the racoon.
(Oh, I get it, Twilightprincess? XD )
-
((Ok thanks for waiting I really appreciate it))
Zaida looked around as it was night most already inside to sleep. Zaida hummed a soft lullaby that echoed through the town.
tuteur (guardian in French) walked on the street somehow his hoof steps silent.
-
*Ragekid was still outside, standing still on the pavement and looking around for anyone to encounter or help*
-
*Ace walks down the forest path*
-
Tuteur stopped and grazed on some grass peacefully his long unicorn like tail with a black tip flicked in the air as he did. Zaida petting him and dismounted. "Now I'm awfully hungry~"
-
*Ace looks around the forest,a few leaves falling on the path*
-
((We need to meet up somehow. xD Any ideas?))
-
(Head to town perhaps. A thriving alchohol smuggling industry must appeal to one of you at least.)
Looking up at the washroom mirror before him, Galen dwelled on the same questions which had plagued his mind for the past two years. A silent letter at his doorstep, a flash of blue, and now he was apparently a member of the very few non-humans in respectable society. The real issue was figuring out how he'd gotten to be in this situation. He had all human ancestors as far as he or his parents could tell, and considering his family's standing loathing of nonhumans, it was unlikely any of them were responsible for his strange predicament. Running a smooth steel comb through his bedium-length brown hair, he shifted his brown eyes to the light brown-gold of something else, something that was definitely not what people called Galen Mikhael Fowler, before returning them to their original shade shortly after. He continued his preparations, readying to work late into the night following his short respite, belting on his holster and putting on his coat, and was soon heading into town to the diner he had been visiting for the past few weeks. After this, it would soon be another day at the gun shop, working on his latest modifications in hopes of getting another order from the SFPD. Maybe one day, he might get a chance to discuss some dealings with the higher-ups, but for now, this was more than enough.
He walked through the diner's glass door, lined with a polished steel frame, and suddenly heard the sound of the morning working men who were all earning a living in one way or another. More than likely, at least a dozen were recovering from hangovers, despite the recent Prohibition Act. "Illegal to sell, illegal to buy" he thought, "but not illegal to consume or posess. Oh how our glorious system of justice shows one of its many cracks." He sat at the smooth stool of the main counter, placing his order, and waiting deep in thought. His mind was somewhat slowed by his rest, but he had work to be done. Gangsters didn't wait, and neither should he.
-
*Ragekid headed to a local nightclub/pub*
-
(Hold on... what time of day is it now?)
-
*Ace looks at the town from the path, avoiding it at all costs*
-
(night) tuteur huffed and looked at the pub his ears perked.
Zaida looked also. "Yes it seems it's the only thing open at this time~ shall we~"
The horse looked at her.
"Then let's~" she said walking and her tail swaying up and down.
-
((I always thought that I should refer to IRL european time xD))
-
(Fair enough. We will have to synch time eventually. Can't stay night forever. PS, it's the Prohibtion Era. Alchohol is illegal. Thus, the gang era is born, as well as the start of speakeasies.)
-
The horse stopped and sat.
"I thought you wanted to go?~" Zaida huffed sat by the large horse that towered over Furries. "You act like a child but I do agree, there might be too many in there~"
-
*Ace looks at the horse through the foliage he was sneaking through*
-
The horse huffed lightly and neighed biting her hood and tossing it off and licking her Mohawk.
Zaida sighed alone in the street she felt safe around tuteur he was more of a father to her. "I know, we just have to be careful~"
The horse nudged her and snorted.
She raised a brow at him. "Fine I'll be careful~" she said lightly petting his neck as he continued to clean up her hair.
-
((Precisely, my dear Chains.))
Ray shrugged. "Most people of the light usually haven't. It's considered taboo to even think about going there."
-
As he was readying to leave the diner, Galen overheard a conversation from two men beside him. From the looks of them, they were some type of laborers, engineers perhaps, and they definitely seemd agitated about something.
"I'm just telling you. These nonhumans can't possibly be good for our nation's economy. And have you ever seen them? I bet there's more animal in them than reason, if there's any reason at all" said one of the men.
"I know what you're saying. You know Allan? My friend in the construction business I introduced you to a few months back? He's unemployed now." said the other.
"How's that? I thought you said he was one of the best in the business anywhere in San Francisco?" said the first man.
"Well, I was telling you the truth. But along came this avian... a damned bird. Next week, Allan's out of his work. Apparently due to less 'safety concerns' or some crap like that. Can you believe it?"
The second man gave a look of loathing tinged with disappointment.
"Hey, look" said the first. "I'm guessing there's no way this kind of... idiocy... is going to keep going. I bet you that soon enough, people are gonna be running all these freaks out of town. Might even take some of the uh... minorities... with them."
Galen did his best to appear uninterested, and turned to walk towards the door of the diner into the cold coastal air.
"Hey you. Yeah you with the coat and case. I saw you listening in on us. What do ya think of all this madness?"
Apparently he wouldn't be getting out that easily. Turning to face the two men, Galen quickly responded "I don't care what they do, just as long as they do their jobs effectively and respectably. I'd think you two could learn something about that. Respect, I mean. Good night." he said, ending his statement with a not-so-subtle look of disgust at the two workers. He walked out with a quickened pace, agitated as a result of what he had just heard.
"Some people." he said, breathing deeply and setting towards his shop. He had work to do, and he didn't need two racist engineers getting in the way of that.
-
*Ace looks at the town again, afraid of what will happen if he goes into it*
-
Zaida pulled her hood back up. "However I'm hungry I don't want to deal with Furries either tuteur~"
The large eight foot horse got up and nudged her going off into the woods his ears perked as he looked for fruit but felt a furry near.
-
(Just a note, if you guys are in a forest north of SF, that means you'll need to take a ferry across the Golden Gate Strait to reach town. Either that, or fly.)
(If you are south of SF, it'll be just a bit of a hike before you get to town.)
-
Ray wandered away from Chains, and perused the town. He tried to avoid most passers-by, in case they were hostile.
-
((It's fall to let you all know)) Zaida sat in the woods playing with the dead leaves as they fell lightly from the tree's
The horse sniffed about now smelling two Furries and snorted curiously.
-
Galen walked up to his shop, looking proudly through the iron-barred glass at his well maintained interior. Just as he slid his key into the door's lock, he noticed a small, somewhat yellowed flyer which had been tacked to a nearby power pole. He hadn't seen it there earlier in the evening, so he guessed it had been placed there recently. Looking closer, he saw that it was not just an advertisement like any other.
Public Liberties and Civil Rights Committee
Now accepting members of all colors and kinds.
Look forward into the future, and see that equality is the path that leads us there.
JOIN TODAY!
Galen gave it some thought as he entered the door of his establishment.
"Nobody would have to know I was going there as a nonhuman" he thought to himself.
"But then again, I must consider the possibility of repercussions if anybody discovered me."
He rejected the possibility of joining this new "Public Liberties and Civil Rights Committee". The motive was not great enough, but the risks definitely would be.
He lifted aside the polished wooden counter and headed into the back room. If you could call a space large enough to almost make an echo merely a "room".
Removing his unneeded coat and placing it on a nearby hanger, he walked onwards with his briefcase in hand, his now-visible bronze medallion flickering with a muted-gold from the overhead lights. The area was lit with the latest in electrical illumination, courtesy of a brilliant man who Galen owed very much of his success to. Tools of all kinds hung from one wall, and one-of-a-kind machines sat adjacent. Above one workbench hung a framed article, reading "Fowler Arms: The Smith of the SFPD's Swords".
There was little time for reminiscing. He had work to do. He moved to his drawing table, pulled up a chair, opening his briefcase to read over the papers stored within.
-
Ray wandered about town, until he glanced into a nearby shop. Sensing what he felt was no danger, he floated to Galen's shop, and knocked gently on the doorframe, hoping his tiny paws would generate enough noise to be heard.
-
If there were any benefits at all to Galen Fowler's predicament, it was the slight enhancement of his mental, visual, and auditory acuity. Hearing a slight knock from the door across the workshop, down the hall, and across the front room, he wondered who in their right mind would be out and about at this time of night. He got up with a groan of frustration at another distraction from his work, patted his modified M1911 at his left hip, and walked towards the front of the office. What he saw at the window was bone-chilling at best. With a flick of his hand and the faint click of the handgun's hammer locking into place, he levelled the gun at the strange entity outside. With a flick of his right hand and the faint sound of rushing air, he willed open the front door from safely behind the counter. A gust of cold night air followed.
"State your identity. Now." he said, bringing both hands up to firmly grip the gun.
-
Ray flinched. "R-Rayleonarde!"
-
"Don't get many ethereals around here. What are you." inquired Galen, maintaining his aim at the strange being.
-
Ray blinked, and closed his eyes. "A-A being of the world b-between light and dark. A-A Twili. J-Just, please don't hurt me!"
-
Zaida heard talking and got up knowing tuteur would get worried but she grew too curious. "Hmm~" she pulled her hood on and began to lightly walk to where the talking was.
The horse sniffed before seeing ace and snorted from afar.
-
(I'll be out for about 30-45 minutes. Apologies. Also, Ray, your species is unspecified in your character sheet. So are you just like the Twili from Legend of Zelda, or something else in appearance?)
"Fair enough." said Galen, lowering the .38 handgun.
"We are closed, but come on in for now I guess. Just don't touch anything."
-
((Did I miss the species? Ray's a Twili, but more raccoon in appearance. Does that make sense?))
Ray nodded, and shuffled closer to the door. "S-Sorry for i-intruding, k-kind sir. I-I am unfamiliar with this realm's customs."
-
*he looks at the horse before looking at zaida*
-
Zaida was slowly wondering off.
The large horse sniff and snorted trotting closer to him with his tail whipping the air.
-
*He approaches the horse*
-
The horse finally getting close to the furry quickly began to sniff him and nudge him.
Zaida looked at the sky. "Lovely night, tuteur better hurry" she said just at the edge of the woods looking at the city.
-
((Oh shit. Zaider, I know I'm a bit late, but may I? I can't send messages btws and Idk why.))
-
"This realm. Well, haven't heard that before." said Galen with a look of indifference.
"And of course, of all the places you could go, you came to a gun shop. Doubtful you even understand the concept of gun shops. Tell me , Rayleonarde, does your realm have police? Watchmen? Anything of the sort?" he asked.
Galen activated the safety on his handgun, putting the hammer into its resting position before holstering the weapon. He started to walk towards the workshop down the short, pale hallway, lined with closed oak doors. The workshop was the end of the hall, and it was here that Galen continued forward into the well-illuminated area, leaving the small shadowy apparition to its own devices. Hopefully, there were manners wherever it came from.
(Hello Aconitum. I don't think we've met. Hopefully Zaida addresses your request shortly.)
-
(Probably gonna be off for the night. Can we cut to the next morning by tomorrow? It's been night for two days as of now. Also, Aconitum, make sure all attire is era appropriate.)
Galen started his designing once more, whistling into the empty space of the expansive concrete room, the tune barely carrying out to the front room of his shop. The night was dark and filled with a cold wind, yet even then the city did not truly sleep.
(Best of luck to all who participated. Good night.)

If Zaida has a problem with it, she'll tell me. I've been in rps with these people enough times to know what I'm doing and to know what they're looking for in a character.))
-
(Fair enough.)
-
I looked around noticing that the little racoon had left.
"I wonder where he went?" i asked myelf. s
-
Galen woke with his face practically plastered to the table. Walking out to his office halfway down the hall, he noticed the clock on the wall, which read approximately noon. Looking around, he couldn't seem to find the shadowy raccoon from last night. Perhaps it might have wandered off. Nothing was taken or damaged though, so that was good news. He stretched his arms with a yawn, revealing a row of razor-sharp teeth from a slight lapse in concentration.
-
Ray had not wandered off, but had curled up within a small nook in the shop. He snored quietly, unaware of Galen's presence.
-
"Sun's up" said Galen, hearing a telltale snore from the nearby shadows. "That mean's I'm out for the day, and you should be on your way as well."
He shifted his eyes to the golden-brown of a lion, hoping to make out some disintuishing features on the pitch-black raccoon.
-
Ray yawned awake, and turned. The blue glowing highlights across his body shone in the vent.
-
"Come on. Up. It's day out. Gotta go." he said, a neutral expression becoming a mix of humor and anxiousness.
-
Ray crawled out, and floated up to Galen's chest. He rubbed his eyes, and looked up. "T-Thank you for letting me stay."
-
"Not like the people around here would treat you any better than I could. If you're not a human, you're gonna have quite a rough time around here. Unless you've got... alternative methods." said Galen, raising his hand and shifting it to a more lion-like appearance for effect.
"But anyways, sun's out. I must be going. You're quite new around here right?" he inquired, shifting his hand and eyes back to human to match the rest of his body.
-
The horse snorted leaving the furry behind and whipped his tail one last time before turning off to The city and trotting to where Zaida had wandered to.
Zaida in the pub sat down in a empty booth drinking wine quietly with her tail swaying up and down not noticing the humans that stared angrily, not seeing her face but the tail and the somewhat digigrade legs gave away she was in fact a furry.
-
Ray nodded. "I just arrived from my realm. This place is strange, I have to say."
-
"Strange? Really? What's so strange about this world? Technologic developmental gap maybe?" asked Galen, pausing for a moment.
"They got electricity where you come from? Light?"
-
Ray shook his head. "Light? We've got a little of it. No...'electricity'...whatever that is."
-
Galen sighed. "You got lightning where you come from? How about amber? The rock-hard sap of trees from a long time ago."
Apparently this short interlude would be turning into an introduction to the world. Great.
-
Ray blinked, utterly confused. "What?"
-
"Do you have any weather in your world?"
-
Ray furrowed his brow. "W-Weather? I'm confused."
-
Zaida shook the wine glass in a circular motion, mixing it. She took another sip and looked at those who stared.
-
"Ok... do you people breath at all? Air?" said Galen, frustrated by what was apparently the most divided understanding of the world which was possible in this world or any other.
-
Ray nodded. "I breathe, yes."
-
"Amazing." said Galen with a dead tone.
"Come outside with me. Let's give you a warm, or rather a somewhat cold, welcome to the weather of SF."
He made his way towards the steel-rimmed front door, pushing it open and stepping out into the noon sun accompanied by a considerable breeze. It was only natural that it there would be any weather this close to the coast, it would be windy.
-
Ray nodded, and followed along. "What is SF? Is it some form of camp? The elders spoke tomes of the family-camps this realm had."
-
"We call the large 'camps' cities. The small, or rather smaller, camps are called towns. We are in a city called San Francisco. It's right along the edge of the ocean."
A gust of wind blew past Galen and Rayleonarde.
"You feel that? That's what we call wind."
The sun gleamed off the waters along the distance shores.
"Are you familiar with the concept of water? Lakes, rivers, oceans?" Galen asked, looking doubtedly at the strange apparition floating beside him.
-
Zaida looked at the men approaching her booth. "It's closed"
"Why closed you all are staying~" she said lightly
"Get the hell out girly, we don't want furs in here" the man spoke with a country accent.
The horse arrived smelling the pub's surroundings. Turning to an large barn own it flew in and landed on her shoulders it's eyes all black and little specks filled his eyes like stars.
-
Ray nodded, and sighed. "This 'wind'...moves every day?"
-
"Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. But anyways, there's other types of weather much more extraordinary than a simple wind. And when you get the right conditions, you get large grey masses of soft fog like you might see in the morning. Sometimes in other areas massive clouds form, and you'll get..." Galen trailed off, holding his thumb and forefinger an inch apart and arching a small white spark across the gap.
"Lightning. Electricity." he finished, ending the spark with a flick of his hand. Smoke gently trailed from his finger and thumb. Surely that would hurt more later in the day.
-
I kept walking untill i entered the city.
-
Ray furrowed his brow. "So...the big blue..." he motioned towards the sky, "blesses you with this 'lightning'?"
-
I start looking for an in or someplace to stay. I finally spot a place to stay and walk to it.
-
The owl pecked at the mean and cooed as a warning.
"**censor**! Get the hell out fur!" He yelled the others growing angry.
Zaida had her ears laid back. "Don't make mistakes, you humans made enough~"
-
(I will be getting off for the night. Phone stopped holding a charge just today, so might not be posting as much tomorrow till it gets fixed. Good night, and best of luck to all.)"Big blue is one way to say it. Everybody calls it the sky around here." said Galen, looking up at the pure light blue of the coastal skies.
"Eventually, people wondered if we could use electricity, rather than just see it race its way through the sky. And that is what happened. People found ways to generate it, to harness it, and now it allows the structures you see today. The lights in my shop are powered by electricity." said Galen, remembering the gracious generosity of the brilliant mind who helped fund his endeavors.
"Let me get this concept through: electricity is not magic, or anything of the sort. Our growing world is held together by explainable causes. Well, mostly explainable causes at least. I learned the slightest bit of what you would call 'magic' a few years back by pure chance, but it hasn't helped me much. A spark here, a push there. Nothing grand."
Galen turned and started walking down the street towards his house a few blocks away, grey coat in one hand and briefcase in the other.
"I will be going home. You are new to everything around here it seems, so if you want, feel free to come with me for a while. You'll see what this world has to offer soon enough. I hope."
-
((May I swap my character out for another? Luckily I haven't done much yet with her. :P ))
-
(Any particular preference for a new species?)
-
((Sure enva))
Zaida left the pub wiping her leather gloves off from blood. "I warned them, but they are just like everyone else~"
The barn owl changed back into a horse and snorted and kneeled down until Zaida Mounted him, he got up and began to trot around the city avoid getting caught at he scene of the massacre in the pub.
-
I come actoss a pub that seemed to have had a massacre. entering, I tried to figure out what was going on.
-
Acon walked down a small road somewhere near the pub as she spoke softly to Rem, the giant African millipede perched on her shoulder. "I'm thinking we get something vegetarian tonight. What do you think?" She asked. Rem simply moved his antennas around and curled up around her jacket collar.
-
Ray nodded. "I may...what is the phrase...take it up on you? B-But, I have to learn more about the area, though." He turned around, and started floating down the street, opposite Galen. After a few minutes, he found himself near the pub, attracted by the loud noises; music, shouting, and the clinking of glass. Ray floated down a small road, looking around at everything.
-
"Fair enough" said Galen with a look of abrupt acceptance. Continuing home with no notable events hapening along the way, he changed into attire of a lighter, less formal nature, and started walking towards the inner town square, hoping to catch sight of something notable. Maybe some upcoming event, or maybe just to visit the docks and see how the world flowed. If it was innovation that fueled the world, it was observation which fueled that innovation, and Galen was well aware of the benefits of taking that into account.
-
Zaida sat at the well her hood down and tuteur licking her hair as if he was cleaning her, looking at her with his black Galaxy eyes.
Zaida just kicked her feet lightly. "I don't like this vulgar world, Furries and humans sicken me~ it's horrible~" She huffed in a soft voice
-
Ray wandered about, until he was sufficiently lost. He looked around, hoping he'd remember some landmark, but to no avail. Ray wrapped his tail around his legs, and pleaded with every god his kind worshiped that he'd find somewhere to stay.
-
(So I guess we are going on a two days-per night and two days per-day basis? It was night for two days, so tomorow might as well be the same day as well to address the slowed posting rate. Or whatever works.)
-
((Sounds good.))
-
((Or it can go how the players set it... It doesn't really have to be exact and stuff...))
-
Acon continued walking along the streets, talking to Rem as she did so. She laughed when she though Rem said something funny. "That is so~ true!" She exclaimed.
-
The horse stomped and snorted as a command.
Zaida tilted her head to the right. "I can clean myself, you can do this all the time~" She sighs. "Now I think we should... Find some shelter~"
horse licked her hair more and behind her ears then neighed happily.
-
Ray's ear twitched, when he heard someone talking rather loudly, and bolted to the noise.
-
"Rem, you are just full of jokes today, aren't you?" Acon wiped a tear from her eye as she laughed. She stopped after a moment and looked around. "Uh oh. I completely missed the pub. We walked right past it, Rem."
-
Zaida jumped onto tuteur. "Food and shelter, I think we need to find something quick. Those humans weren't enough, besides you forced me to leave the scene early~" she says as tuteur snorted and began to trot and Zaida hummed that echoed through the city giving chills.
-
Ray continued flying, in a blind panic, and had very little time to stop himself before colliding with Acon. His nose barely tapped the back of her heel.
-
Acon's ears turned back to hear Ray at her feet. She turned around to see who had stopped behind her. "Hello?" She called, looking everywhere but at her feet.
-
Ray shuddered, and looked up. "D-Down here, ma'am."
-
Acon looked down at Ray and raised a brow. "Hello." She knelt down and sat on her haunches. "You look... Lost."
-
Ray nodded. "V-Very. S-Sorry for bumping into you, I was a little...a lot scared."
-
Zaida had wandered about until finding a husband and wife. "Aw love~ it won't last them~" she said getting off tuteur and he became a black and grey barn owl flying over the two and cooing.
Zaida crept her hands behind her back and the hood covering her face growing closer.
-
Acon shrugged. "I guess it's alright. You didn't scuff my boot or nothin, so I guess I can forgive you." She sighed and looked up a moment to see if anyone was coming their way. "Where are you headed?"
-
Ray shrugged. "N-No where. I mean, I have a place to stay, I just don't know where it's at."
-
Acon raised a brow. "Uh... I don't quite understand. How do you have a place to stay but not know where it is?"
-
Ray blinked. "I-I just got to this realm."
-
Acon nodded. "Not even from here, huh? How come you're here just wondering around?"
-
Ray sighed. "I heard noises, and got curious."
-
Acon shrugged. "At least your curiosity hasn't killed you."
-
Ray shrugged. "Not yet." He sighed, and sat down. "I-I should've stayed with that man..."
-
Acon sighed. "If you wanna stay with Rem and I, you may."
-
Zaida got a small cloth and tapped her face then cleaned her gloves.
The owl picked at the bodies.
"I think that's enough tuteur~ come~"
He flew on her shoulder as she walked. "Now where is the abandon house~ I saw it I know it, has to be here somewhere~"
-
Ray looked up at Acon. "R-Really? I-It'll be just for one...um...one night...I-I promise!"
-
Acon nodded and stood up tall as before. "Come on then, let's get a goin."
-
Ray floated up to Acon's shoulder, and smiled. "Thank you, miss."
-
By time the city had a few dead bodies already but Zaida did not care to worry about her uncleaned messes
Zaida finally found the house she was searching for. "Here it is~ just outside of the city~" she walked in taking her jacket off and wore a black vest suit. "A bit dirty but it'll do~" she said soothingly as she walked and laid on the sofa looking outside as the sun was setting.
-
I looked as i went walked throughout the city.
-
The phone in Galen's living room rung with a certain vigor.
"Who could possibly be calling at this hour?" he thought.
Picking up the receiver with a soft click, he answered in a moderate tone.
"Fowler speaking."
"Hello, is this Galen M. Fowler, the gunsmith?" responded a lively man, possibly of some authority.
"This is him. You are?"
"I am calling from the SFPD headquarters. We are looking for some assistance with an upcoming bust on some gang-run illegal breweries, and your name came up."
"So what, the commisioner wants me on his gang-busting task force?"
"Sounds about right." said the man with a hint of admittance.
"Huh... well, I will have to think on it a bit. Is there any really date set for the first action?" inquire Galen.
"A few days at most. Gotta get to them before they relocate or get tipped-off."
"I will definitely consider it." said Galen, becoming somewhat joyous at the thought of a bit of action, even if it meant getting shot at. Again.
"Thank you for your consideration. Just call the police's secondary number. I am sure you have it somewhere from your past experiences working with us."
"I am sure I do. Good night Mr....?"
"Walken. Mr. Walken will do. Good night Mr. Fowler." responded the man.
The somewhat hasty conversation ended with a click, and left Galen with some serious decisions to make about the upcoming days.
-
Ray had followed Acon for a few minutes, before he was distracted by someone waving a flashlight about. He followed the light, until he was ambushed by a group of thugs, who seemed to be looking to make a quick buck. They stuffed the small raccoon in a sack, and started off, crossing in front of Galen's store, chuckling about their 'big score'.
-
I walk into a restaurant hopping to grab something to eat.
