I didn't really base my fursona off my own personality. No real individual characteristics to it yet though. I guess a fursona means something different to many people. Some have fursonas which perfectly reflect how they perceive themselves, while others do not.
I chose a winged lion because it is the exact opposite of what I consider myself. I am not vibrant in my personality, I am not the dominating force in a situation, and I am certainly not a master of the earth below and the sky above. I chose my fursona because of the inherent opposing forces of what is expected of a lion, and what I expect of myself.
But in the end, it is your own decision. Best of luck.

Hmm, this is my decision. Those words you both share really do help me though-I must do this my way I'm guessing. I think I can do this. ;)

A good starting point would be to have a clear perception of yourself. If you want to create a fursona, it is best to know who you are at your core, and either go from there, or against it. Or maybe a bit of both. I'm a student not a cop.
P.S.- Mythology or heraldry are good places to look for some people who want something unique. Find something original if you wanted to. I can say with absolution that I have seen entirely too many foxes. No offense to any foxes seeing this.

Creativity, I can do that-maybe a character who both represents and not represents me. Trust me I don't want to be a fox, I got my own animal in mind! Now I'm excited to make my first character. Hmmm....
