Google Chrome has been a pain lately. The browser wont load, and when it does, it takes about a minute to load. It also doesn't open half of the time unless I open five or six of them. I recently formatted my PC (it's a regular thing with me) and I downloaded Google Chrome. Google told me that it would (no exaggeration) take "More than 35 hours" were already on a bad start, keep in mind I formatted everything and wiped it clean so there is nothing wrong on my end, even my internet is fast with IE and WiFi on my phone, but not Chrome. Do I need to do another wipe or did Google do something to the browser that screwed it up? Should I use another browser? I used to like Google Chrome but really, how hard is it to make a browser? I could make a very generic one (no security) with c++. What's going on here?

ah you have found the pain of every google chrome user hardware acceleration
it just uses up more ram to process and in itself is so bad i turned it off after it started going to 90% of my ram
just go to options advanced and turn off the hardware acceleration and let chrome restart should be better
could also be the amount of net being used at the time of day
im only using 47% ram from 90%
also turn background apps off
mine for example

I've done that but it doesn't seem to do anything, if anything I think it's a bit slower. Do you think there is a newer version for Chrome? Earlier I downloaded Chrome.

post a screenshot of your task manager also do a virus sweep with avast or avg and a malware one with malwarebytes both of these have to be full scans

I just wanna bump in here for a post to thank Saph because I just did some of that and cut out background apps.
Laptop runs much smoother and faster.
Thanks, Saph :)

I can't use AVG because it crashes my PC during scans, plus I have Avira which is good. Avira checks malware viruses and more.

processes tab and honestly a program that says its also anti malware isn't fully thats why u run malwarebytes with it because it does what it says and is a anti malware program it runs with the anti virus along side

Okay, I'm downloading it now and I will run both software programs together, I'll post the Malwarebytes results when it's done.

full scan takes a hr at least normally for malwarebytes

I was sick and tired of my PC not working, so I did two factory restores, one early yesterday and one today and that seemed to work for now, but I just want to say thanks for all the help.
