Oh golly. Well, I've been a furry probably since I was 15 or 16. I'm 24 now. Soooo... Somewhere in the ballpark of 8-9 years. Goddamn I'm old. As far as what made me join the fandom? Ironically, I didn't join the fandom until my S.O. at the time "called me out" for being a furry because I drew anthros all the time. I didn't know what a furry was, so I googled and found a community on IMVU. Eventually, I met an artist (AirRaiser) and they got me into the art aspect and I've been kicking around since then. :P

Pretty sure I have three, though two stay tucked away these days because they're either not nice or relevant.

I've got Mortimus, my bull terrier. He's my main fursona and meant to literally be me physically and mentally. I have a partial of him and generally he is what I've settled into these days, as he is my post-recovery character. He's a hellhound and I generally enjoy him because he helps me be a little more positive about myself. Mortimus can be a little neurotic, but for the most part he's friendly and lives by the "Do no harm but take no shit" mentality.

And I've got Rigor. Rigor was my first fursona and is still relevant, but we hardly see them because they represent a lot of bad things including bad mentalities and just... What I like to call pre-recovery mentality. They are impulsive and self serving, prone to reckless behavior and self loathing. They've filled out their own space in my universe with my characters, but they still remain a fursona in a way. Again, we just hardly see them because thankfully these days I have a little less of that pre-recovery mentality, and when I do have it, I don't really feed into it as much.

Lastly, I've got Noir, which is sort of like a reptilian version of Mort. I don't use him much anymore, mostly because I've been a little distanced from him lately. He seemed to fit an in between stage for me, but I think he's sort of going to wind up his own character as opposed to a fursona.

Well, it's also because I'm a hell hound, but yes, that's part of it. Nothing good can ever come from a breed of dog nicknamed as the clown of the dog world. Just... Don't worry if it gets too quiet when I'm around... I promise I'm not getting into anything, why would I do that? >_>

I do not! I have considered it, but with the hours I work, I wouldn't be able to put the time in required to manage one. They are fairly active dogs! Plus I live in an apartment and I don't think that would be a suitable environment for them since it's so small. Maybe in the future!

Winter. But then again it's because summers kill me. At least I can bundle up in the winter. Not to mention summers get a little old when they're constantly in the 90s-100s.

I do! It's not too personal. It's totally a mom car, though. It's a 2004 Silver Suzuki XL7.

Yeah I say somewhat because I sure as heck don't know what I'm doing, but I am an adult.

I have never really tried it, so I can't say I have. I'm not really involved in many sports. :x

I do this for all AMA's, even if there are two AMA's.

We have a sphere of radius 1. What side-length would a cube need in order to be of the same volume as the sphere? What about the same surface area?

Regardless, I tried and I think to the length of the cube is roughly 2.05 for the volume and 1.45 for the surface area if I did my math right (I rounded to the second place).

Close! Not quite though.

You got the surface area correct! But the volume you're a bit off

Volume of a sphere is given as (4/3)*Pi*r3, which for a unit sphere is just (4/3)*Pi. Volume of a cube is given as a3. So we solve the equation a3 = (4/3)*Pi or a = cubeRoot((4/3)*Pi) ~= 1.66

Smaller Actually An Achievement things? Every time I got into a juried art show, regardless of whether or not I placed.
